Printing wirelessly from my laptop

New hp Photosmart 7520 printer installed and prints ok from PC.  How do I get laptop to also print wirelessly?  Have a DSL gateway router.

What operating system for the laptop?  You can download and install the full featured driver from HP here.

  • C5280 no longer prints wirelessly from Vista laptop after purchase of new Win7 PC wired to C5280

My Windows XP desktop was wired directly to the C5280 and I was able to print through my home network from the Win Vista laptop downstairs. Since I purchased a Win7 PC and replaced the Win XP one, the laptop cannot print wirelessly through the home network. What can I do to regain that functionality? Thanks.

OK, first wireless Gateway (modem/router combo) units are terrible for wireless connection. It is always, always best to use a separate modem and router in your network that YOU have control over instead of Comcast. If you have your old router it would be best to call Comcast and have that Gateway put in Bridge mode (disables the router section) and connect your own high quality router. With that said, let's try this. Set the router to a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto'. If you still can't connect, remove all security off the routers SSID. Now try to connect to your SSID with no security. Are you successful?

  • Print Wirelessly from Vista Laptop

I had wireless printing working from my old XP laptop, but I can't get it to work with my new one running Vista. Airport Extreme connected to my imac. File Sharing and Print Sharing are turned on in preferences. I can see the printer from my laptop, but when I select print it says access was denied...unable to connect. In Vista in the control panel the printer shows up with a check mark and a green symbol on the network link. Any guidance greatly appreciated.

Printer sharing is also turned on in Visa Control Panel

  • 8630 all-in-one prints wirelessly from phone but not from laptop

I just set up my new 8630 printer and it is connected wirelessly. I printed something from my phone on it. I downloaded the driver from HP to my laptop but it will not work with the printer. I cannot print wirelessly from the laptop. I have not tried from USB cable because I am determined to make this work!  I am not sure the driver installed properly either. When I go to the control panel and click on printers and find the 8630 it says"empty."  Feeling frustrated. I never have good luck installing stuff like this! I also downloaded the troubleshooting software and none of the solutions has worked either. Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

  • Changed printers, now can't print wireless from laptop

Hi. I changed to a HP printer from an Epson. Now I can't print wirelessly from my laptop through my Airport Express. I get a message that the printer is offline.
Went to the HP site & got latest drivers. And there was an Apple update for the HP. I can print when the laptop is connected to the printer by the USB cable.
When I first set up the AP Express 2 years ago, I was able to print wirelessly without any problems.
    any ideas?
    Thanks

Got it fixed. Went to the HP site again & they had info for OS10.5 that worked.

  • Printing wirelessly from laptop but can't print from iPhone or iPad to officejet 6700

On the Officejet 6700 I have it set up to print wirelessly from my laptop, but it does not print from the iPhone or iPad.  It locates the officejet and says it's preparing to print and even appears that it is going to print, but nothing prints.  Thoughts?

Hi there, take a look at this support docuemnt for the AirPrint solution for printing from Apple mobile devices. In particular read the sections titled "What if a 'No AirPrint Printers Found' message displays on my Apple device?" and "What if I experience problems when I try and use AirPrint?"

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500- prints wirelessly from one computer in network but not the other

I can print wirelessly from my laptop, but not my desktop. The printer shows on the list, checked as the default, and READY, but document does not seem to find its way there. It never shows up in the print queue.

Download and run this utility.  It should indicate what is wrong.

  • I cant print wireless from my D110a ..It says its connected to wireless network.

I am unable to print wireless from my laptop to my D110 printer. The printer shows up, but wont print. the printer also shows that it is connected to wifi.

Can you describe the new home network?
    What router brand?
    What Modem?
    What service provider?
10.59.1.250 is a valid home network address.  You might check the address on the computer to make sure it is simular (10.59.1.xxx).
This sounds like it could be a router setup issue.  Sometimes service providers set up router in a way that prevents the computers printer driver from seeing the printer. This might not match with the "It worked for 2 weeks" though.
Another possibility is that the printer got a new IP address and the computer hasn't been able to find it.  Rebooting the cpmputer might fix that.
Still another possibility is that the printer is attached to some elses router.  You might want to comfirm is it connected to your network and not another one in the area.  If you used the default SSID on the new home network there might be another one in the neighborhood that is the same.

P.S.  Be sure the old network equipment is not plugged in somewhere, unless you have changed its SSID.

Do you have a wireless router or do you want a direct wireless connection between your PC and printer?  A wireless router is a much preferred method.

Why can't I print from my Mac book Pro to my HP Deskjet 3054A.  I am currently able to print wirelessly from my old PC desk top but not the laptop

  • How can I print wirelessly from my ipad mini to a non-AirPrint network printer?

Does anyone know of a work around to print wirelessly from ipad mini or any apple wireless devices to a network printer that is NOT Airprint ready?  I have a trial of Printopia installed on my desktop connected to the network and it seems to work BUT the desktop has to be awake or on for this to work.  My wireless router is a new ASUS N66U with supported usb port for printers which my printer is connected to.  My PC laptop is able to see the printer but the ipad mini and iphone 5 cannot.  I could return the router and exchange for Apple Airport wireless router if I know it would make a difference.  Thanks.

    Hi,
According to the printer specs, your printer has no wireless connectivity and is not airrprint enabled so unfortunately you won't be able to print from your ipad.
you'll find the list of HP web enabled printers here.

  • Can no longer print wirelessly from my IPad

have a hp photosmart 6510  Airprint wireless printer; have pc, laptop, and IPAD connected to it; all have been working great until a few days ago when Ipad  began to not print.
now when i click the print button on my IPad one of two things happen. 1) screen says "contacting printer" or 2) the small print box just disappears in both cases however nothing gets printed. Network is fine and web access is fine; configuration shows no problem; no problem printing wirelessly from pc and laptop computers.  have unplugged router and modem, have also verified that blue tooth is off in IPad. what to do; any help would be appreciated

You unplugged the router and modem -- that's good.  Now try resetting your iPad.
Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
