Printing with iPhone to old HP Laserjet 2200d or new airprint?

I'm switching/updating my calendaring system, which requires that I have a hard, printed monthly calendar 8 months in advance.  I bought an iPhone 6 Plus and have a few 3rd party calendars on it.  I think I want to us "Calendars 5" as my main calendar.  I have always used Microsoft Outlook 2010 for my PC calendar but I have not had any luck syncing my iPhone calendar with Outlook so I can print using the HP Laserjet 2200 which attached to the PC (XP) by cable.  So I have given up on this approach.
As a work around, I am trying to figure out if I can just use my iPhone Calendar to enter appointments and somehow print directgly to the Laserjet to get the hard copy of my calendar.  After researching lots of options, I think maybe the best idea is to get a cheap airprint printer and try to print up my calendar using a wireless connection and forget about using my PC for my calendar.
Any helpful ideas/thoughts?
Thanks in advance... Tom

To print wirelessly from the iOS device, the printer would either have to be AirPrint compatible, or you would need to see if the printer manufacturer has an app available in the app store that would allow for printing to printers that are not AirPrint compatible. The AirPrint printers need to be connected to your network via Wi-Fi, not directly connected to a computer.

In order to AirPrint from your iPad/iPhone, here's all you need to do:
    1. Make sure the printer and iPad/iPhone are connected to the same local network.
    2. Open something you want to print (on the iPad/iPhone).
    3. On the iPad/iPhone, tap the "Action" button (arrow curving out of a box).
    4. Tap "Print".
If you have any issues with printing, below are some steps that should help you out!
    1. Power off the printer.
    2. Completely power off the iOS devices (hold the Sleep and Home buttons simultaneously until a message appears asking you to "Slide to power off". Slide across that bar, and it should completely power off).
    3. Power the printer back on.
    4. Power the iOS devices back on.
    5. Try to print again.
Those steps usually resolve the issue. If they do not, try this additional steps:
    6. Power cycle your router (usually done by unplugging the router’s power cord, waiting 20 seconds, and plugging it back in).
    7. Make sure that the iOS devices and the printer are all connected to the same network, then try to print.

I have a new email address. Changed this on my itunes account. On iPhone deleted old icloud account and created new with new email. I have set find my phone to on. When I download music from itunes it no longer goes to icloud an does not show up on my iphone.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

    Hi there Hank,
Sorry to hear you're having a rough go with the printer.
As for the 8000 wireless, I would guess that you got a newbie tech rep on the phone. I couldn't figure out why they said there's no workaround, because I had been able to get older printers going with HP troubleshooting documents. So here are a few that might help:
    1. Install the printer on your network (if it isn't already) Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection
    2. Download the HP E-Print Mobile App for iOS. It should still work with non- eprint printers: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/hp-eprint/id299531647?mt=8

  • I have an iMac running OS X 10.8.3 and have connected an Epson Workforce 2540 printed that is allegedly Airprint enabled. I can connect and print with a USB cable but can't connect via Airprint. My colleague running 10.7 can. Is this a feature of 10.8?

iOS devices use AirPrint to connect to a supported printer. OS X will use Bonjour to locate and connect to the same printer.
With the Epson connected to your wireless router, when you open Print & Scan and click the plus button to add, does the Epson appear in a small box with a heading of Nearby Printers?
If not and a window appears showing Default, Fax, IP and Windows in the toolbar, do you see the Epson with the Default view selected?

  • HT4356 Can't print with iPhone 4 s and epson nx430

I have an epson nx 430 printer. Ii use to be able to print with AirPrint using my iPhone 4 s but now I get no AirPrint found. I turned off bluetooth and now im able to print using epson iprint application, still i cant print using airprint!!Help please!

Hello, my name is Syd and I work for Epson America.
For Airprint to work correcly, please make sure the following steps are done.
    1. The printer is connected to the same wireless network as your iPhone and computer.
    2. On your computer, run Download Navigator. This should have been installed during initial setup in the Epson folder inside your Applications folder.
    3. Run all firmware updates. It is necessary to have the newest firmware for AirPrint to be enabled on your printer.
    4. Restart the printer.
    5. On your IOS device when printing, click the appropriate icon (depending on app) and select printer. Please wait if the printer name does not show immediately, as interference may cause a delay in the name appearing.
    6. Tap print.
If this does not resolve the issue or you would like a walk through of the procedure, please contact Epson tech support at 562-276-4382 and they would be happy with further assistance.

  • HT1206 I de authorized my iphone and old laptop and now my new laptop will not authorize???

I de autthorized my old iphone and old laptop but now cannot authorize new laptop???? what gives?

iPhones aren't authorised or deauthorised, only computers are. What happens when you try to authorise your account on your laptop's iTunes via the Store > Authorise This Computer menu option ?

  • Getting unknown error when printing with latest version(using HP Laserjet 1200). I can't print at all using this version. Able to print previously.

I ceased to be able to print when the latest version of FireFox was
downloaded. I can print from the same websites using I. E.
My printer is a HP Laserjet 1200 series. I only get the error(an unknown error occurred while printing) when trying to print through FireFox. I can print email fine and any other instance as long as I'm not going through FireFox.

    Hello Josh,
We are using a couple of EFI (Fiery) controllers with our Canon copiers and I have been told by Canon support that we need to be using the MacTel (Universal Binary) versions of drivers for Leopard. Luckily for us we have mostly new models of RIPs and the UB drivers exist for these models, but I know that they are not available for all models, which I believe includes your X3e.
To determine if you have a driver or RIP issue, you could save the file as either PS or PDF and then use the EFI utilities, such as Command Workstation, to import the file to the RIP (select Process and Hold) and then see if you can print your multiple copies that way. If that works then you know that the RIP is probably okay.
The next test would be to create a generic PS queue to the X3e and print using this queue. If this works then you can narrow your issue down to the driver.

  • Can PowerBook G4 with Mac OS 10.4.11 enable printing with iPhone iOS 6.0

I have a PowerBook G4 running Mac OS 10.4.11 (PPC). I have 3 printers on a network linked either as USB printers or as WiFi peripherals: HP Color LaserJet 2840, HP DeskJet 940c, Samsung ML-1210. I would like to enable AirPrint for iPad, iPhone 6.0 in this network system. Printopia nor FingerPrint will run on PPC machines and neither function on 10.4.11. I tried to use the solution in Simon Blog but no printers are recognized by the iPad nor iPhone. Any ideas anyone?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Follow up: I confirmed that Pacifist will extract and install the package on a PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.4.11.
    Package extraction and installation:
Once you download and install Pacifist, launch Pacifist, locate the AirPrint-1.0.pkg file and open it.
Click the "reveal triangles" at the left to show all the package's contents.
Select the "AirPrint" icon, then click Install. Ensure the "Use Administrator Privileges" box is checked and select Install. Authenticate with your Administrator name and password.
    Repeat for "ca.mlabs.airprint.plist" and "printers.plist".
    You may then quit Pacifist.
    "mLabs AirPrint" installation:
Follow the instructions in the developer's website. Under "Setup" make sure you do not copy the $ prompt, in other words copy and paste the following in a Terminal window:
    /usr/local/bin/airprint/AirPrint config
    and press Return.
The program will present a list of your installed printers.
The same general technique is used for removing printers.
    Uninstalling the program:
First stop the service with the following Terminal command:
    sudo launchctl unload /LibraryLaunchDaemons/ca.mlabs.airprint.plist
    Authenticate when prompted.
Then delete the following files, in the Finder, by first opening the folders using the Finder's Go > "Go to Folder..." menu.
    /usr/local/bin/airprint/AirPrint
    /usr/local/bin/airprint/printers.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/ca.mlabs.airprint.plist
Who can't like a program that's only 24k in size though
That's where I left off for now - next step is to verify it actually works with an iPad. Let me know if you are successful.

  • Print with iphone

HI, i have added a print to my airport express, i can print wirelles with my macbook but i can't by my iphone 5, how i can do?

iOS devices use AirPrint to print to a network printer. Unfortunately just connecting a USB printer to the USB port of an AirPort Express will not make it AirPrint capable. Instead you will need to use a third-party solution, like Printopia in order to print from your iPhone to a non-AirPrint ready printer.

  • Printing with iphone and time capsule router

I have an iphone 4 and a Time Capsule with router. I have my HP 8500 wireless printer plugged into time capsule. iphone says that it cannot find airprint printers.

Time Capsule is a combination wireless router and wireless hard drive for access to the internet via wi-fi with connected computers and with your iPhone, and for backing up connected Macs wirelessly via Time Machine.
Your iPhone can connect to the internet via your wireless network created with Time Capsule, but that is it.

  • KE21N with reference - copy old copa records without applying new derivation rule

    Dear all,
does anyone have a clue how to make this:
We would like to copy some old COPA line items but face the problem that doing KE21N with a reference document the old derivation is overwritten in the moment the document is saved.
Is there any possibility to copy the old document and also the old derivations?
    Thank you a lot
    Kind regards
    Birgit Seeger

    Hi Birgit
The only way I can think of is to enter the char values as you want directly in ke21n. You may Need to temporarily change your derivation rules to not derive the char values if the same is already filled
Just click on the magnifying lens icon beside the Target field inside your derivation rule and you change setting
