Printing with print report.vi

I am using windows 2000, LabVIEW run time engine and am having problems with printing. When one users logs onto windows, runs the program he is able to print the results. However if someone else logs onto windows they are unable to print. I am just using the report generation vi's that come with LabVIEW. The print report .vi is programmed to use the default printer. Has anyone else had similar problems?

I have never heard of this myself, although I have heard of general issues with print report.vi. You say that your VI prints fine when "one user logs onto windows." Then it has problems with "someone else logs onto windows." What exactly does happen? Does an error occur? Does it not print at all? Let me know when you get a chance.

agreed with Wai on upgrading. The first test should be outside of SGD . . . does UNIX print to that USB printer? If not then chances are Tarantella 3.30 will not. If you upgrade to 4.31 you will need to first upgrade to 3.42 then to 4.20 before upgrading to 4.31. Under 4.31 we support PDF printing from UNIX servers. With PDF printing you should have no problem printing to a USB printer.

Thanks for the reply. Turns out that our IS department has deployed a patch called RS Client Print-ActiveX Crtl R02 which has caused this problem. Not sure why it broke it yet or how to fix it so still investigating.
This only happens for reports viewed within InfoView if they are in Crystal Reports format. There are no hyper links in the report, it only affects reports with 2 or more pages.
If we get a resolution I'll post it here or if anyone has any clues to why then please post.

This would be the simplest incarnation. There are all kinds of printer manipulations you can do, from choosing printers, trays, page sizes, etc.,etc. The above is using Crystal Reports SDK - PrintToPrinter. You could also use the RAS SDK PrintOutputController for finer control (e.g.; more APIs).

Adobe Reader printer output not printing with printer

Hi all,
I've downloaded the current Adobe Reader 9.3 and have not been able to print. It sends the file to my print spooler where I check on it and see that the job is tagged with an error. I've just got the 10.6.3 but this also occurred under 10.6.2 Mac OS. I posted a bug alert to Adobe. My printer is a Canon. I sometimes choose to use Adobe Reader in leu of Preview when filling out a form. Personal choice at this point, but in the past, only Adobe preserved the correct font and all of the form.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
Not sure if this is a printer driver issue or a output error. But the printer works with everything else.

I have a similar problem that my mac mini running 10.6.3 with Adobe Reader 9.3.2. I print using a shared printer HP F2280 from iMac running 10.5.8 wireless airport.
When I print PDF from my mac mini, the share printer can only print a few lines and that stop. There is no error in the printer queue. It say accept print file.
I'm using preview to print PDF right now before solution come out.

New Apple Convert - Printing With Print Server

I am having trouble printing.
I just bought my first Apple iBook G4 using Mac OSX 10.4.6. I have a Netgear Wireless Router with a Netgear PS121 Print Server plugged into one of the router ports. The print server is connected to my Brother MFC9700 Laser Printer.
I went through the process of adding the printer. I used the following settings:
IP Printer
Protocol: IPP
Address: The IP address of the print server
Queue: Left blank
Name: Laser
Location: Left blank
Print Using: Brother MFC-9700 CUPS v1.1
When I attempt to print (from .Mac Word) the printer box shows I am connected to 192.168.0.3 (IP of the Print Server) and the activity indicator (looks like a sideways barber shop pole) is moving but nothing happens on my printer.
Can someone please advise me?

The P1 is important.
Or try this instead
Start Printer Setup Utility
Click Add
Hold down the option key and click More Printers
Select Advanced from the drop down menu.
Select LPD/LPR Host or Printer
Enter this as the Device URI
lpd://192.168.0.3/P1
The P1 is important.
Note though that your Brother printer is not on the Netgear Compatibility List.

How to delay printing with print-on-release ?

Hello friends,
I have enabled WM transactions, as well as Printing, upon Release of Production Order. My print program takes the WM Transfer Order details and prints it on Pick List. However, about 50% of the time, printing starts before TO creation is complete - so the printout does not contain the TO details.
I need your help to solve the above situation - how can we delay the printing so that TO creation gets sufficient time to complete - or to do something that printing does not starts until TO creation is complete.

To my knowledge, In standard SAP, I don't think we can control the timing when you have settings for print-on-release.
But this can be acheived through work around.
In the print program (that you have assigned in OPK8) make changes in the coding by adding conditons as per your requirement and to trigger the print only if your conditions are met. However, this will happen only upon release. Try this with you help from ABAP.

Color Laserjet 2605dn printer with printing envelopes correctly

I am having problems with my HP Color Laserjet computer which is not printing envelopes from the computer which has Windows 8.1 installed on it. It will print out letters just fine now, but had problems with that previously, using WordPerfect Suite. The printer is a Color Laserjet 2605dn, which is connected to my home network. The same problem seem to be happening on my mini laptop which is running Windows XP. I just fixed the printing problem on my windows 7 computer and had to print my envelopes using it. The HP Mini Laptop use to print out my envelopes just fine previously, but have the same problem. On the Pavillion Sleekbook, which is the newest I have the special print software from HP which lets me print paperwork where the others are not using it. I would appreciate any help with this problem. The setup isn't correct and the envelopes don't print out correctly like they did previously.

No need to: there are no formatting possibilities
available using a PrintStream.
There's just a bunch of overloaded methods for all
the primitives and the
print[ln](Object arg) method simply uses the
toString() method on
the object argument ...
OTOH I don't like the printf() method much
either ... I know what hoops the
C version has to go through to get the job done. IMHO
it doesn't justify the

Can't Line up prints - with printer

Going crazy here trying to print from Lightroom.......all is ok with Windows priting to my Epson 1400. But when I try from Lightroom3 no luck. Tried 5 x 7 template, set printer to 5 x 7 and i get a 1/3 or one eye..... it's like it's trying to print to a much larger sheet of photo papar than I have loaded ( the 5 x 7)......any one else in the same boat.... or any ideas on how to correct ???

Yea sure is set to 5 x 7..... but this applys to al sizes.
On the LR3 screen the photo is centered on the layout screen, the 5 x7 (or what ever size) is showing on the top of the LR3 screen. But the output is only a part of the photo........

Printing with Print Shop 23.1

I have been using Print Shop 23.1 and all of a sudden I am unable to print #10 envelopes. I received an email from the company that makes Print Shop and they said that Print Shop didn't always work well with HP printers and that I would have to reset some printer settings. This is ludicrous, as it worked fine when I first loaded it onto my computer. I was wonder what software for printing envelopes, letterheads, etc, would work with my HP Photosmart 6520 without having to redo the settings everytime I print a project?
Please advise.

I understand the you are now unable to print envelopes with the Print Shop 23.1 program. I can suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software and reinstall the HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers. You will want to choose the full feature software and drivers from Driver - Product Installation Software.

Cannot print with "Printer manages colors"

I have CS5 installed on a brand new 27" iMac (running 10.6.7). When trying to print in Photoshop, nothing happens if I hit print. Nothing happens if I hit Print Settings. It doesn't matter which printer I have selected. If I change to "Photoshop manages colors" it works, but that is not really a solution.
I have tried:
A different user
Resetting the print system
Deleting preferences
Reinstalling
Running Photoshop in 32-bit mode
Booting the computer with the 32-bit kernel
Printing works in other programs, and in Photoshop CS3.

Is the D92 a PostScript Printer? If so, at the moment it doesn't matter whether you choose Generic or Epson... Generic should print to any Ps Printer, you just won't have Brand/Model specific features.
In Printer Setup Utility, have you looked under all the catagories like IP Printer, Appletalk, etc.?

print servies for iphoto book are not printing my book. they are questioning copyright issues. they have printed this book many times before.

Do you own the copyright to all the images?

Here was how I did it using vb.net and crystal reports.
1. In the report, create a seperate detail section to hold your second page. Crystal will see it as Details a & b. In section a, set the new page after property. This will cause the second page (details b) to print on a seperate page.
2. Ok. The next step is to programmically tell your printer to print in duplex. Study the code below and modify it to suite your needs.
