PRINTING with RIP such as ImagePrint 6.1 (the full postscript version)

i took the chance and bought Aperture. i don't want to go into any of the
complaints here. i just would like to find out how to make ImagePrint work with Aperture.
it looks like Aperture does it's own color management. i think. if i were to
print via Aperture using Epson's driver, i'd have to turn off color managment because Aperture does the color management. no problem there.
however, if i were to print via Aperture using ImagePrint's driver for the Epson
4800, then i'm lost.
in order to print from Aperture, i'd select an image and print command. then i'm presented with a dialog box with all the common printing options. where i'm suppose to select a printer profile, but only the epson 4800 profiles from epson are available and non of the profiles from imageprint. i've confirm that all required profiles are in the appropriate folders inside Library.
it seems that the only way for me to use ImagePrint to print my files is to
export the image from Aperture, and then open the image with ImagePrint to print.
has anyone else who uses the full version of ImagePrint come across this problem? if so, what was your solution?

Sorry, I only use the non-postscipt version of ImagePrint to a 4800. I rarely need to print postscript files to a photo printer, and if I do, I just open and rasterize in Photoshop.
It's not want you want to hear, but all you can do is (a) call colorbyte support and ask your question, or just export 16 bit TIFF files (either to a hot folder or otherwise) and print in IP. That works fine for me. Just make sure your color profile stays attached through the export.

Absolutely INFURIATING.
I have spent absolute hours building a photo album for the first year or my sons life. Sorting through quite literally thousands and thousands of images. Got a brilliant looking album using 177 of them.
Now everytime I try to check out it won't get past page 1 of building the book.
It says the following "There is a problem with the photo with the filename "null". The full resolution version of this photo either cannot be located or is corrupt. Please replace this photo or delete it from your book.".
The images all look perfect. I have even tried taking them out and re adding the first page images from the library.
Same problem.
This is so annoying. So far I have NOT been happy with this iphoto application having nothing but problems with missing thumbnails. Corrupted images. Things that have never happened to me using a windows machine.

Do the filenames contain special characters, like "ä,ü,..." or white space or are the vry long? Is there anything special about the image format? Try to export the edited versions in that case and reimport it with a different, shorter filename.
For testing, create a new book with only the images you want to check.
If this does not fix it, try rebuilding. Depress the option and command keys, launch iPhoto and rebuild the library.

Unable to print with 2 identical printers unless I switch the port setting

(I assume they are identical unless there is a way to verify the guts inside or different)
When ever I want to print to one or the other printer, I have to open into the printer properties and go to Ports and switch between USB001 or USB002.
I have tried uninstalling the printer driver and reinstalling it as well as letting Windows detect the printer driver, but it still creates another Port and one printer always insists on printing to one particular port and the other printer prints to the other.
How do I set both printers to print with the same port so I don't have to constantly go into the properties to switch them back again?

What is your operating system? In Vista (and I think XP as well) you can go to the Printers folder, right click on the printer, Run as Admonistrator, Properties, (continue), Ports, check the "Enable Printer Pooling" then check the boxes for the ports for the two printers. In this case the print job will be sent to the first one that is available.

Firefox web pages often print with many extra spaces between letters, making the printout illegible and useless..

When I try to print e-mails in Thunderbird and web pages in Firefox, the individual letters usually print (either to my laser printer or to Acrobat Distiller) with many spaces between each letter, making the printout nearly illegible and useless. Any thoughts? And settings that would correct this? (I never had this problem before the last few months, using earlier versions of Firefox and Thunderbird.

about:config has many listings for each of my printers, but instead of starting with "print.print_printer" [naming the printer], most listings that name a printer start with "print_printer" or simply printer_[printer name]. I don't want to reset all the listings, not knowing beforehand if that would be advisable.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Printing with trim marks AND elements outside of the artboard

hello, i am using Illustrator CS3. lets say i have a 4x6" artboard with my artwork contained in that space. i also have an adkey just outside my artboard. My goal is to be able to print both the trim marks (equal to my artboard size, 4x6) and my adkey. I cannot get the adkey to print by chaging the bleed settings, since i cant go over 1" bleed. i cant make my artboard bigger, since the trim marks wouldn't be 4x6 anymore. And i dont want to have to put trim marks by hand, since it is too time consuming.
can anyone help?

Yes, pretty much the only solution is to work on a larger artboard and use the crop mark filter. Personally, if I find myself having to work to a net size document, I slap it into Indesign and proof it out from there.

When I use my bullzip printer with Foxfire 7.0.1 I get the following message: script engine not initialized to valid language. This is a problem only with Foxfire7.0.1. When I use IE 9.0 it works fine and I have no script initialization problem.

I have been using bullzip printer for years with Foxfire. I am now using a version 7_1_1_0_1218 of bullzip printer I downloaded in March 2011. I am using Windows Vista Service pak 2 with all latest updates.

I was having the exact same problem, but notiece that if I
changed lb_login.pl to lb_login.pl? it now understood that
everything after was parameters and off it went to authenticate. Of

Just got a macbook, and I cannot print on my printer. I used to be able to print on my printer with my old Dell laptop, but I can't print with my macbook. I can see the printer network on on my macbook, it says it is my default printer, but I can't print.

I just got a macbook air and I cannot print on my home printer which is networked through my wife's window based computer. I can see the wifi network, I can see the printer, it is set as my default, but I can't print.
Any ideas?

You may have to visit the printer manufacturer's web site and look into their support pages to get a print driver for your Mac, and install it. Or see if you can see if a driver may already be in your Mac by checking settings, since there are many drivers already installed in Mac OS X.

Are you working with Acrobat or Photosohp? (You mention both PDF files and photos, so it's not clear.)

PLEASE HELP!! CAN'T SYNC WITH OUTLOOK...AND ITS NOT THE 64 BIT VERSION

I have a BB Storm2 9550. I had a laptop with Outlook 2007/Windows Vista/BB Desktop 5 and it synced fine.
I now have a new laptop with Outlook 2010/Windows 7/ BB Desktop 6 and each time I try to configure the Organizer Data to select 'Outlook' for Calendar, Memo, Tasks, and Contacts and select NEXT I receive an error in Intellisync that says 'The Operation Terminated Unexpectedly'.
I have tried completely uninstalling BB Desktop manager from the Application Data folders and registry, reinstalling 6.0, downgrading to 5.0 (which gives me a Microsoft Connector Error).
I have also tried reinstalling Outlook. I read all of the posts concerning Outlook 2010 64bit but I am running the 34bit version.
Please help me. Right now I don't have any contacts on my BlackBerry and I am so frustrated. I have tried to fix this for over a week now and all the posts I read don't seem to resolve my issue or I don't understand them.
I'll even take suggestions for other ways to sync my data besides outlook (although that is not my preference)

If you want someone help you, from my point of view it surely not the right way of doing, especially by writing Really Urgent. It just annoys people (and btw it seems not to be so urgent as you stay with it since the May12). If you want a "urgent" answer, hire a Flex expert or just be patient.

You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, install it, and run the 10.6.8 combo updater. Mac OS X 10.6 requires a Mac with an Intel CPU and at least 1GB of RAM.

Help with installation of OS X 10.4.6 Full retail version (new)

First, you can still purchase Tiger from Apple (I just did), but not Panther.
I have a G4 Cube, 450 MHz, 384MB memory, 40 GB harddrive
On the hard drive I have OS 9.2.2 and OS 10.1
I don't use the 10.1 and never have so it has not been upgraded at all. I seem to remember that I did try to do some updates but they always failed, or I just couldn't for some reason. It just wouldn't download them. So I stopped trying as I didn't use it anyway. But now I want to install OS 10.4.6 and use that so I can use a current browser.
Apple says what the system I have will run it.
I see by the installation instructions I cannot do an up-grade installation as I do not have OS 10.2. It says I can do a installation and archive the old 10.1 but I don't really need to do that as there is nothing in it I want to keep. I do want to keep OS 9.2.2 as all the files I need are in it.
I don't think I want to do a clean install (as I don't have a way to back up files except for a flash drive), or do I?
I need some advice!

Your only choice is to do the Archive & Install, you can later get rid of the 10.1 install because it'll be in a folder called Previous Systems.
Other wise the whole HD gets wiped pretty much.
Hopefully you have a Backup of your OS9/important stuff.
