Printing Wrong size picture

I have Photoshop Elements 10 and my printer has started printing my 8x10 as a 7x10.  Anyone else experience this?

Hi,
Sorry to hear you are having problems printing.
What model of printer do you have and what device/operating system are you using to print?

  • F2480 will not print A4 size pictures,

My F2480 will not print A4 size pictures (210 x 295mm) the largest it will print is 200 x 265 mm Help needed please

    Hi,
I assume you are using a Photo Paper, Please clarify if I am wrong.
Be aware that while the Maximum size for plain paper is 210 x 297mm,
The largest supported Photo Paper is 203.2 x 254 mm, as you may find listed within the product specification's Paper Types and Sizes section:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01758526&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
Additionally, your printer support borderless printing up to 100 x 300 mm and not full A4 size

  • Why doesn't photobooth print passport size pictures

The photobooth name and icon both suggest it could be used to print passport size pictures. I don't understand why it doesn't. Or does it and I'm being really stupid. I know the dimensions are different to a passport picture but I've got a pair of scissors to solve that problem. If photobooth did this then it would be a really useful application and mean that I wouldn't have to walk up to the station in the rain everytime I want a passport photo.......... and I could have bulging eyes on my ID.
iphoto won't let you print passportsize pictures either.

    Operating system?
Does your printer support borderless printing?  Can you print a borderless print from another application?

  • Printer prints wrong size

    HP 2570 Photosmart
    Running windows XP
    No messages
    No known changes
I tried this question in the Home and Network printing forum, and after 4 days, not one person has replied, much less had an answer.
Recently, my HP 2570 has been printing certain files the wrong size.  I have a graphics design program (basically line art) which is supposed to print my design at actual size.  The design has a background of a 1" by 1" grid.
Until recently, I have had no problems.  Now, when I try to print a design, the print preview shows the image as it should appear, but the printed image is reduced to about 87% of the actual size.  This is easy to verify - I measure the spacing of the grid lines - they are 7/8" apart.
I printed the same design on two different days, and the two printed images are NOT the same size.
The only thing which I can find which seems unusual is that when I look at the printer driver details, I find FIVE different files.  They are:
    C:\\windows\system32\drivers\serscan.sys
    .....................................hpotiop2.dll
    .....................................hpovst09.dll
    .....................................hpowiamd.dll
    .....................................hpzc3212.dll
    Any ideas?

    Hi there,
Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here(to make sure there are no software issues causing the problem):

It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on.

  • IPhoto 6 printing wrong size

I upgraded to iPhoto 6.0.6. Can't get either of my printers (hp officejet 5510 and hp color laserjet 2600n) to print the size I choose from the iPhoto print dialog box. The photos come out rather small when they print.

    Hi all:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. With all the different printers out there that's a tough one to address specifically. However, you might try using Tiger Cache Cleaner or OnyX to clean out the caches. Then reinstall the printer drivers, looking for newer ones at the manufacturer's site.
If you have another account on the Mac, log into it and see if you can print satisfactorily. If so then your primary account is the culprit. Or you can boot into Safe Mode and give it a try. Safe Mode activates only the basic components needed by the system to run. That will tell you if there's some installed component that could be the culprit.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Elements 9 prints wrong sizes

I keep getting a different print size than I specified in Elements 9: I will specify for example a 7x10" image on 8 1/2 x 11" borderless paper, but the image will fill the whole sheet; or I will specify "scale to fit media" and the paper will be filled with a larger picture cropped to fit.  How can I prevent this?  Or has the problem been solved in Elements 10?

    Hi Andromeda14,
Thanks for your interest, but I've moved on from last March.
If no one at Adobe is monitoring these queries and coming to their customers' aid, then they shouldn't be surprised if punters look somewhere else.
I wish you a good and fulfilling life,

  • [SOLVED] Printer prints wrong size from GIMP

    Dear friends,
    I have a printer HP Photosmart 5520.
I set up the printer with the HP Device Manager.
I like to use GIMP to print a file with exact measurements, which is an image on the paper which is 12cm in width, the page is A4, so is my printer.
Once I print, it will be only 11,1cm on the paper. I tried borderless print, which is 11,5cm then.
When I print with GIMP with Gutenprint, the size is 12cm.
When I print with Photoshop in WINE, its 12cm.
Problem with GIMP Gutenprint and Wine is: I cannot adjust print quality.
    Any idea?
    Thank you.

I removed the HP Device Manager, installed it again, went through all settings again, now its working, not sure what the problem was.

  • Firefox continues to print wrong size

I continuously have this issue with 1 pc in my 75+ pc environment controlled by SBS.
    Printer is a Kyocera KM-3035
PC is Windows 7 32 bit Professional
It doesn't send a message and it backlogs the printer with other print jobs from other users, so this is quite an annoyance.
This is how I fix this issue, Browsing to the "Prefs.js" file and editing it, finding all entries that start with "Print_" and deleting those entries. It works until the system restarts. Then I have to do it all over again.
Why does this continue to happen? Can anyone point me in the right direction? As i've stated before, 75+ pc's and ONLY 1 having this issue. Most of the users use Firefox or Google Chrome. Nobody except for 1 user is having this issue, and it's only with Firefox. I've tried to get her to switch to Chrome, but she won't... Older user, hard to change their ways once they are set in stone...
Any help would be greatly appreciated, she's a wonderful person and it's upsetting to her that she's causing all these "Paper Jams" she's afraid to print half the time for fear she may cause a back log... I don't want that, I can't have that. Please help.

  • Print Different Sizes Images

I use CS5 / 64bit and print on a Epson 3880 printer.  I sell my images at art shows & hops.  I shoot all image in RAW, on a Nikon D80.  I process all images first in CR.  When in CR I do not use the Crop Tool but do use most the other available tools.  I am able to process 80% of images corrections, in CR and the balance in Photoshop CR5.  I sharpen all image with PhotoKit 1.2.  I save all my processed images, in a Master Image (MI) file that can be accessed through Bridge or Photoshop.  The smallest image I sell is a 5x7 and the larges is 17x22.   How do I print different size picture image from the MI and keep resolution between 200 - 300 ppi, one per page to meet the demands for my customers.
    Thanks,

  • "Wrong Size" in and Unavilable Pulldowns in LR  Prints in PS

I have successfully printed in LR before but this time I'm running into weird problems. I tried printing an A3 size print (11.7 x 16.5) Landscape in LR, set the paper size to A3 (Retain Size, Maximum). I noticed that the cell size in LR read 11.92 for the Height even though the paper itself is only 11.7.
I tried printing anyway, my Epson Stylus 4800 Pro started its printing routine but then stopped and gave me a dialog box saying the paper size was wrong. I changed the cell Height to 11.5 and the same thing happened. Refuses to print because paper size is wrong, which it says on my Epson's screen.
Also, when I was setting up the job and pulled down the menu to ensure that Color Management was off, that choice was lined-out along with Paper Config, Roll Paper Option, and Expansion. When I selected one of those, a dialog popped up saying that Seiko/Epson didn't include these options in the software. I know that's not true because I've used them before.
So I sent the file to Edit in PS, sized the photo, and printed it out with no problem. The items which were lined-out were not lined-out in PS.
I'm got Mac Pro, 10.5.6 OS, and my Epson Stylus Pro 4800. And as I said, I've successfully printed other sizes before in LR.
Has anyone had this happen to them and/or do you have any idea what is going on?

Your suggestion of switching to 32 bit solved the pulldown items being lined-out. Also now can print without the dialog box telling me that the size is too large.
However, now that I've added a number of changes with the Adjustment Brush, LR has slowed down to an unacceptably slow crawl. When I've tried using the Graduated Filter tool, LR is so slow that when I try to move or rotate the gradient I can't reliably see the adjustment for so long that I can't reliably use it.
I'm using a Mac Pro with 2 x 3.2 GHz Quad- Core Intel Xeon, 16 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM. I've read postings here regarding similar slowness issues with LR, but is what I'm experiencing "normal" for this release of LR? If so, it is a sad commentary on the quality of the product.

  • Eprint printed .doc with a wrong size!!

    my printer is C310a
when i printed my  A4 .doc document, it printed out with a wrong size and it's all of them are bigger than the actual size!
Please help me to slove this.

    Hi jefferl,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that when printing a .doc type document with your Photosmart C310a printer, that the font of document seems to be larger than requested.
The font and its size are set by the program you are using and/or the program used to create the document. If you need to change the font and its size open the document in a program where you can edit the font. Mostly likely this document would have been created using Microsoft Word or Microsoft WordPad and you can use either of them to modify the font size.
