Printing x too many

We recently upgraded to Mountain Lion on the Mac. Since then, when using Adobe Acrobat X v 10.1.3 (my computer) and Adobe Pro 9 (Bosses Computer), Using a Canon IR C 5035, when we ask to print 2 or more pages, it will double the order. Are we missing a setting?

I've already tried that.  It only happens when I'm trying to print a pdf document.  When I ask it to print 1, it prints 1.  When I ask it to print 2, it prints 4, when I ask it to print 3, it prints 9.  I'm not going to experiment any further.  Any other ideas?

  • Attempted to set up an HP wireless printer and my whole network is now a mess.  HP help told me I had too many signals, as I have a Time Capsule 4 Macs and 4 Airport Express set up.  Anyone else figure this out?

I attempted to set up a new HP wireless printer.  It is unstable and HP support says I have too many devices since I have a time capsule and 4 airport express either extending my network or being used for a different printer or stereos.  Anyone else find that their Airport Express/Extreme interferes with a wireless printer. If so, what's the point?

I have a similar model, the  HP 8500A here in the home office that I originally hooked up using wireless on an AirPort system consisting of an AirPort Extreme, Time Capsule and 2 AirPort Express devices.
The HP was originally hooked up to the "main" router using wireless as a test to see how wireless would perform. No issues with setup or performance over the first few weeks. I did eventually change the device to connect using Ethernet once I had room to move the device near the AirPort Extreme.
HP is pulling your leg with the advice about too many devices. The AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule will handle up to 50 wireless devices. In my case, I did nothing except follow the setup procedure and restart the entire network....something that I always do when I make any change to the network.

  • Too Many Prints From The cmn_err

    Hi All,
I need some help and pointers regarding driver programming on solaris 10 kernel.
I have a module that has been ported in the kernel space. And I have changed all
the printfs to cmn_err as the simplest logging mechanism and it prints the messages in /var/adm/messages. I have three queries:
    1)     Due to bug, system panics in some code leg. However, all the prints by that time are not visible in the /var/adm/messages log. Most likely, the kernel panics before all the prints have a chance to be copied to the messages file. This creates a problem because prints do not correctly represent the amount of code that was successfully executed and hence debugging becomes difficult. Is there a way that could cause 'flushing' of messages to the /var/adm/messages file?
    2)     In case 'flushing' is not possible, is there a way to read the remaining message buffer from the crash file generated on reboot? Can it be viewed using mdb crash analysis?
    3)     While debugging a "bad stack overflow" condition, I found that if I disabled all the prints, system did not panic and the "bad stack overflow" did not occur. Does anybody know if too many cmn_err prints can cause kernel panic?
Any pointers to manuals/articles or other material will be greatly appreciated. I am ready to RTFM if only somebody would point to it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ashutosh

For this to happen i guess they have a bad senderbase reputation, ie below -1.0?
What you can do is that you can add the IP-adress into a new SenderGroup in your Host Access Table (HAT overview) with a "Mail Flow Policy" that allows more connections from their IP-adress. Don't allow too many though if they have problems in their network, and make sure Anti-virus scanning and Spam control is enabled in the Policy settings too.
You can indentify which "SenderGroup" your ISP is connecting into and what SenderBase repuataion score they might have. Use "message tracking" in WebUI, or "findevent" in command line interface to find this out.

  • Consistenly "too many arguments" when OCR any scanned PDF file in Adobe Acrobat 9.2

    Hi,
plz see attached file for a 2 page sample. I have purchased AA9 to get better OCR (clearscan). Before, we were using AA6, which sometimes crashed, but not consistently.
However, AA9 (9.2.0) now always crashes with the same error "too many arguments" after finishing of the OCR. All pages turn completely white. Saving them causes the contents to be gone permanently and even happened with batch OCR.
OCRing on http://www.cvisiontech.com/online-conversion/general/main.html works fine, but that product we have not yet purchased.
Does anyone have an idea what might cause this and how to resolve it?
The PDF-s have been generated by HP Digital Sender and Canon scanner/printer MF9170. Both types of scans give the same result.
    Regards,
    Guido

There is no virus protection or spy protection on this PC. It runs the following:
    Windows Server 2003 x64 SP2
The file gives the error both on my local disk and on my (Samba) network disk.
As far as tested all scans give the same error at the end of the scanning process. Might it be related to x64 handling from a x32 program?

The list you saw that shows what drivers are available from Apple Software Update is based on what drivers are supplied by the vendor to Apple. So it would appear that HP has not provided Apple with a scanner driver for 10.9 (known as an ICA driver), or provided an update if one was available for a previous version of OS X, so that you can scan from Image Capture.
I checked the HP web site for your model and they don't show any scanner driver or scanning software. If there was a scanner driver, you would be able to use Vuescan.
As for the Scan button not working, the following is documented by HP
Scanning to the computer from the printer control panel is not available when you scan with Preview, Image Capture, or Printer browser methods. You must use HP Scan software to scan from the printer.
But there does not appear to be any version of HP Scan software available for 10.9. So unless someone else has some workaround, it seems that you won't be able to scan with this model of HP.

  • Nice update but as usual too many loose ends......

A BB users since 1997 and needless to say not without peril.  The 2.0 update while generaly well designed still leaves us hanging for updates to remedy several shortcomings.
    Recent Desktop Manager quite buggy.
Print to Go software install issues for 64 bit Win7.
Print to Go issues with several models.
No effort to inform users as to how Android is incoporated in the update.
No seamless sync to Outlook via DM?  This one is a doozie considering that we get to sync seamlessly on    our handhelds.
    No native Task Manager?
No native LED color control.  ie: red for e-mail, blue for calendar etc...
No Movie Store for Canadian users.
People's love affair with RIM is in very thin ice and they need to start getting things done right the first time out.  Unlike Microsoft, RIM will not survice via patches and service packs.
At any rate, I will as will 1000's of others patiently wait for updates.

It may be related to recent Safari updates.
I found this on a [support page for Tinker Tool system|http://www.bresink.de/osx/193281/issues.html], a program that apparently includes such a feature:
Problem: Using the feature "Repeat System Optimization" will indicate operating system errors after Safari 3.2 or 3.2.1 has been installed on Mac OS X 10.4.11. If you are using Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 and you have installed Safari 3.2 or 3.2.1, performing the function Maintenance > System Optimization in TinkerTool System will always stop after a few seconds. The program will display the error message update_prebinding: too many errors (101).
Workaround: The behavior of TinkerTool System is correct. The Tiger installers of Safari 3.2 and 3.2.1 break some part of the prebinding policies of Mac OS X Tiger by installing a non-prebound version of the system's shared XML processing library libxml2.2.dylib. As a result, applications may launch slower than usual and attempts to update the prebinding information will fail. We have informed Apple about this problem and hope they will correct it in future versions of the Safari installer
    See [this thread|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8464103] as well.
If this is the issue, Apple will have to fix it with a later update.

Have purchased jack reacher for 15.99 unable to download due to too many http addresses. I hav only got the apple address open only would I be able to get a download and how do I go about getting a refund thankyou.

You would really have to ask the app developer if there is a way to export the data.
As for adding a printer, you would need to purchase an AirPrint compatible printer and connect it to your wireless network.
By the way, your holiday letter/rant/Idon't even know what to call it... is completely inappropriate for these forums.

  • Photo print at too low of a quality

    Hi
I am trying to make a book, and have all my pictures set, but since they are from the computer and not my personal pictures, they each have that yellow warning that says photo may print at too low of a quality. I am wondering if Mac can change it, since I don't want to spend the money to have the book printed with blurry pictures. They are all zoomed out the most they can be, and I tried everything else.. PLEASE HELLLLP! email me at [email protected]
    Thanks

    sgatling:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What are the pixel dimensions of the photos you're using? Which theme are you using and which frames do you get the warning sign, i.e. full page layout, 2 photos per page, etc.
iPhoto will give that warning when the dpi of a picture in a particular frame is below 180 dpi. So for a full page photo you'd need pixel dimensions of about 1600 x 2070 or greater to avoid the warning flag.
Unless the photo is way below that minimum size I don't think it will be significant enough to be objectionable. But that's just based on my experience. No matter what size you use the photo will not be as sharp as you can get by printing them yourself on glossy photo paper at equivalent sizes.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Lightroom 5 Prints are too Dark - We Need a Fix Now!

    Hi
    Am using LR 5.7
I import images in RAW and convert to DNG.
hen I export as a JPG and print, the prints are fine.
When I print from Lightroom's Print Module, the prints come out too dark with a significant loss of detail in shadow.
Adobe....  This has been a major problem since version LR 1...  It is High time you fixed it!  I have wasted dozens of sheets of paper due to this problem!!
My screen is a 24" calibrated IPS ASUS monitor.
    Windows 7, 64Bit.
    Many Thanks

    Hi Butch
Do a google search for Lightroom Prints too Dark and you will find dozens of posts for all versions of LR. It is a common problem.
There are many hardware and software issues that according to a "Google search" would appear as a universal problem, while in reality, they are far from widespread. I can assure you that Lightroom would not be as popular as it is today if this were indeed a universal problem.
    Robert Mack wrote:
I also upload images from LR to a Print Lab and the prints are fine.
Yes, but is your lab making adjustments to the images during the print process? Many do. My labs do not, they simply print the files as they are submitted. Many consumer and "pro"-sumer labs apply auto correction to image files. Most of these labs do not even inform you that they are applying those adjustments.
    Robert Mack wrote:
The problem is using the LR Print Module to print on a printer attached to my PC.
I have the same problem with an Epson R1900 and a Mitsubishi
Yes ... and if you are applying the same settings/instructions in Lr for printing, the problem will persist regardless of the brand of printer used.
    Robert Mack wrote:
LR had ICM managed by Printer. The Printer has ICM managed by Host.
I did try this using the printer's ICM profile within LR. Still too dark.
This could be part of your problem ... if Lightroom is set for the printer to handle color management by the printer ... and your printer is set to be color managed by the host (i.e. - Lightroom) ... then in actuality, the images you are printing from Lightroom are not being color managed at all. Ideally, you should have Lightroom set to manage printing when you have the printer driver set to "managed by Host" ...
    Robert Mack wrote:
No windows apps are adding any additional processing in the printing process as far as I am aware of. The only exposure correction / adjustment was done in LR..... I am choosing the same printer paper profiles in all methods of printing.
You may not be making settings in your Windows apps ... but if your printer driver is set to make auto adjustments by default when printing from these apps could explain the difference.
Additionally, many folks think they are "calibrating" their monitors when they are not doing so as it pertains to printing. Accurate color is only one phase. While your colors may appear true, the monitor brightness may be too much to accurately render a near match of what a printed version of the image would be reproduced.
As trshaner pointed out, not only do you need to render a close approximation of color ... but also overall brightness. Most monitors/displays, even very expensive and high resolution displays, are extremely bright at default settings for rendering a close match for printed material. That overall brightness level should fall within 90 to 120 cd/m2 and be adjusted as needed for your specific viewing environment and papers and printer inks combinations.

  • Airport Express--How many is too many?

I am running a new Airport Extreme base station with 3 Airport Express units to extend the range over about a 6200 sq ft house. My wife set up her office at the far extreme from the base station and, although her signal was somewhat intermittent, it worked well enough to allow her to connect to the internet with adequate functionality (although her signal strength was generally at or below 5 Mbps). After I successfully installed a 4th Express using Airport Utility, and located it in her office, her PC connectivity to the network suffered, and a printer connected to the Express in her office was not recognized on the network and wouldn't print. Do I have too many Expresses on the base station such that the signal is degrading performance for the whole network? Thanks.

If using the "Extend" option instead of a WDS with all the stations being of band type "n", is there a limit to how many Express "n" I can use to extend an Extreme "n".
I currently have one Express "n" extending (not WDS) my Extreme "n", and I would like to add one more. Is there a limit to how many can be used to extend the wireless network wirelessly?
    Thanks,
    Frank

  • Error Log -  Too many payment mediums created for this payment group

    Hi Experts,
When I am doing payment to customers through T-code F110, I am able to clear the open item. But when we are executing the Payment medium - DME Administration, generate the Payment Advice and when we see the print preview of the Payment Advice in spool request, System is showing the following errors,
"BFIBL02160               Too many payment mediums created for this payment group"
    "BFIBL02616               End of log for payment run 20120123 / NAA02 , NSD / 200"
"This is line 1/column 45 on page 1"
    Message no. SP01R116
Kindly help how to rectify the same
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Nimish Agarwal

    Hi Nimish Agarwal,
With reference to the error faced i.e. BFIBL02160 "too many payment
mediums created for this payment group", please review the information
provided in the long text of this error in detail.
Please ensure that the orders are not carried out several times.
Alternatively you can apply the optional usable message 166 (same
class: BFIBL02), so that you can prevent creating duplicates in future.
Please customize this message as an error so as to prevent the system
from creating duplicate files. You can customize this message in OBA5.
The message BFIBL02 160 always occurs, if you create more than one
file for the same payment run, in order to warn you not to send the
same file twice to the bank.
The SAPFPAYM program does not create 2 files at once. But if you
run this program more than once for the same payment run, more than
one file is created. From the second run on you receive the error
message BFIBL02 160. You can easily test it, by creating a new
payment proposal and creating a new file with this proposal and
SAPFPAYM. The first time you run this program you will not receive
    the message.
    Hope this clarifies.
    Kind Regards,
    Fernando Evangelista

  • Printing takes too much space!

    Hi,
I need to print a JTable's contents. This JTable has about 10 columns and about 500 rows. I print the column header in each page, and as many rows fits in a page until it is done. I separate each row with a line.
Now, this takes about 10 MB in the Windows spooler, which also make the printing slow too.
How can I do to reduce the quantity of memory it takes to print?
    Thanks in advance,
    Gabriel

In general, in JDK 1.2 printer engine not compare to speed even with JDK 1.1 - all fonts are conwerted into shapes (maybe this is not true for jdk1.3+ for some set of fonts - but by sources of JDK1.2 this is it) this aproach caused even moderate amount of text, produce huge amount of shapes. So, if performance is the key for you application - try to play with rasterisation options or take look at non standart printing engines and on JDK 1.4 it is still beta but printing systeme take serious step ahead.
If you dont statisfy java printing at all - try to extend com.sun.awt.windows.WPrinterJob - this is not violate any Sun's right but strongly not recomended.
