On a windows 2003 server i installed "SAP Crystal Reports Server Embedded 2008 V1 SP3".
Then i installed "Crystal_Reports_2008.zip" (Designer).
Then i installed "Crystal_Reports_2008_SP1.zip" (SP1 of Designer).
The packages are retreived from our Saba vendor.
When i start "Crystal Reports 2008" (designer) it gives an error:

I just installed the Crystal Reports 2008 (with SP0) on my Vista (Home) machine. When I try to start the CR 2008, I am getting the below error message:
Error Title: crw32.exe - Entry Point Not Found
Error Message: The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll
Here are the things I tried to resolve the above problem:
1) Uninstall and Reinstall the CR 2008. - No change.
2) I configured the DEP to accept Crystal Reports (Performance - Advanced - DEP allow).
None of these seem fix the problem.
Can you please help me kick start the Crystal Reports 2008?

Please try with this:
Run a command prompt as administrator. From the start menu, select "All Programs", then "Accessories" and right-click on the "Command Prompt" shortcut and choose "Run As Administrator". From here you can use the following command to disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP) with the following command:
bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff
Keeping your command prompt open, run your setup or other process being stopped by DEP. Then, to turn it back on again, do the same and run the following:
bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOn

SAP Crystal integration Add on - error message

Hi,
I installed the add on the server and it works fine.
I installed on the workstatation and it installed without error.
When I got to run a report through the Manage Crystal Reports screen on the server, the report prints fine.
When I do the same on the workstation I get the error
Could not load File or Assembly 'crystaldecisions.windows.forms, version 12.0.0000.0,
Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304 or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
The user has rights to the folder where the crystal reports are b/c they can open them up and run them in crystal with no error. They just get this error with the add on. They have the full version of crystal so I didn't install the runtime. I did check that the CrystalDesignerPath.txt was correct.

Like other I did the install of the crystal runtime on the PC. Now the Add 2.0.0.7 on works. BUT now crystal reports 2008 full version does not.
the client must be able to get into crystal to modify reports. have to uninstall crystal integration 2.0.0.7 and runtime 12.1 and crystal reports 2008. Reinstall crystal reports 2008, and crystal integration 2.0.0.6 and runtime 12.0 and works fine.
I made a second intent with the guide SAP_CRYSTAL_InstallInstructions.pdf, including .net framework 3.5 and no works crystal reports 2008.

CR08 Designer RDC Interaction (crw32.exe Entry Point Not Found)

This is a rare bad interaction that one user on an XP SP3 machine is reporting.
The machine has Crystal 2008 installed. After installing a Crystal XI R2 RDC application (using the Merge Modules), the user encounters the following error when starting Crystal 2008:
crw32.exe Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll
Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to avoid it?

According to Kbase #1276502, SP1 for CR 2008 will resolve the issue. I'd go all the way to SP3:

If you are getting any problem related to DLL then its corrupted. So I would suggest you to uninstall CR 2008 and delete the Business Object Folder created at the time of installation from c\program files\Business Objects.......
Then try fresh Installation of Crystal Report 2008. Hope this will solve your problem.......

Error by starting CR

Hi Experts,
I installed BO Edge and the Integration Kit for SAP.
Then I installed the Client side tools beginning with CR 2008.
When I want to run the tool the following error message appears:
The procedure entry point "?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z" was not find in "cslibu-3-0.dll".
After I read this message I wanted to reinstall CR. But then an other error message appears:
Failure: 1402 Key wasnt found:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Businsess Objects\Suite 12.0\Crystal Reports\Database.
Can somebody help me?

Hi,
in this case you have to install the BOBJ int.Kit for SAP at the end.
This is the installaiton order:
1. BOBJ Server
2. CR 2008 SP1
3. BOBJ int.Kit for SAP

PS: I would suggest to uninstall the int.Kit and install CR2008 SP1 and at the end repeat the installation of the int.Kit.

Cannot access Crystal Reports after adding SP1

On a new install of Crystal Reports 2008 I downloaded and added SP1 (cr121_clickonce.zip) to try to update my .NET to the new version of Crystal. I now get the error message:
The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll.
I also added the update from 'cr120_redist_install.zip' which will allow my users to access the .NET files and programs they need. (This I did only on one machine to test its success)
I am sure it is a case of inexperience but can you help me get back in business with Crystal Reports 2008

That file is not the SP 1 download. Sp 1 is here:

So. At this point, I'm not really clear as what has been done and why.

- this sounds kinda muddled up...

I'd recommend uninstalling CR 2008 on your development system. Reinstall and then Apply SP 1 from the above link. This will update you to CR 2008 SP1 on the development computer.

Stuck at space check when installing CR 2008 V1

Dear experts,
I am trying to install CR 2008 V1 on my PC and after entering product ID and choosing "Typical" install, I clicked <Next> to check disk space requirements.
That has been looping indefinitively. I've tried several time...
When I cancel this step, I can't move forward.
But it does not seem to work...
Do you know what's wrong??

I have installed the BOE XI 3.1available for free (according to CCM the version = 2.0.1.0.)
But to go back to the Crystal Reports appli (CR2008 V1)
I'm actually stuck at a later stage now.
Somehow, when I disconnect from the LAN, the install went through.
So CR seems to be installed on my PC...
The problem is that I am getting the CRW32.exe message when I launch it.
Some Dll is missing.
"Procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z counld not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll
I am going to research that.

Crystal Report and SAP BW

I have just installed the Crystal Report 2008 from the CD provided by the SAP. I installed it on Window Server 2008.
The installation completed successfully, however, when I double-click to run the Crystal Report, I hits the following error:

I found the similar problem on the web with following solution (although this is not mentioned in Ingou2019s blog):
After installing crystall report 10 or 11, follow these steps:
1. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties then click the Advanced tab.
2. Click the Performance Settings button then click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
3. Select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: check box.
4. Add all of the Crystal Enterprise executables.
5. click ok. and close the window. open crystall report now
But I canu2019t even find the crw32.exe on the server!!! What is the problem??

Why? I thought we should apply the SP2 for crystal report 2008 but why I hit the error?

You do have to install first CR 2008 V1 and then apply SP2 on top of it.
We're installing the Crystal Report 2008 from the CD given by SAP. From the SAP download website, there is Crystal Report 2008 V0 and Crystal Report 2008 V1. What is the different? The CD didn't mentioned if it is Crystal Report 2008 V0 or V1.
What I have done is installed the Crystal Report 2008 from the CD. Then install the CRYSTALREPORTS02_0-10007442.EXE which I downloaded from SAP website ->SAP BusinessObjects portfolio ->CRYSTAL REPORTS ->CRYSTAL REPORTS 2008 V1, but hits the following:

Sould I download the patch from:

Remove Crystal Report from Control Panel and once you remove go to C:\Program Files\Business Objects
Delete this folder.
Then reinstall Crystal Folder.........

Crystal report starting error

W2003 server, 32bit, w SAP B1 8.8 pl5-14 (io all) - after installing Crystal reports, i get the modal messagebox
"Cant finde procedure ?DVD_MinMaxDoubleText@CSLib300@YAXPAVCdataExchange@ABNNN@Z in the DLLfile cslibu-3-0.dll."
Crystal does not start. I have re-installed, no success.
(Problems started after attempt to install Crystal SERVER)
Any suggestions ?

Runtime Crash after Upgrading to CR2008

I've upgraded my .NET application from VS2005 w/CRXIR2 SP4 to VS2008 w/CR2008 SP1. The program runs fine in the debugger. By this I mean the reports come up, etc. and there are no visble errors in the build or running in debug mode.
However, when I install the application (on the same machine using Vista w/ SP1) the program runs fine until I exit the application. I believe the problem is assocated with CR because if I don't open any report the program exits normally. If I open a crystal report I get the windows error.

All framework updates are in place (did Windows update now). Running 3.5 sp1 with updates applied. However, this still occurs on client machines with framework 2.0 by itself (no 3.0 or 3.5).
All the reports in the application have closing code in the form closing event (on the form where the viewer resides and the report is generated):

CR 2008 starts with error message

A customer of mine gets an error when starting CR 2008 (updated over the web with SP1 and SP2) with the following message:
Process entry point not found "?DDV_MinMaxDoubleText@CSLib300@@YAXPAVCDataExchange@@ABNNN@Z" in DLL "cslibu-3-0.dll"
He tried uninstalling and re-installed Crystal, but with no success.
Any idea is much appreciated.

Crystal installation and 3.1

When I install Crystal reports 2008 on a node with BOE XI 3.1 component (either the platform of simply live-office), execution of crystal reports fails with the message:
The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@ ...could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll.
This is regardless of the order in which I install the various components.

I install crystal reports 2008 + service pack 1.
I then proceed to install live office (if on a client).
If on a server, I install BOE 3.1. The steps taken here is :
Entering the license key
selecting database (SQL Server or MySQL)
I select tomcat as application server
