If your strategy is set up so that all three levels must release the agreement before it is final released I do not believe you can generate a printout.

  • Scheduling Agreement - Cannot Release, cant create message in LPA

    Hello,
I have gone through all the threads on Scheduling Agreement but could not find the answer to the problem I am facing.
I created scheduling agreement through LP, everything went through smooth.
Now while create scheduling agreement through LPA, I am facing these problems, I cannot create output message while using ME38, but can create message through ME32L, but message output through me32L just creates printout of required quantity, no line items printed on it, and when I try to create output message through ME38 the message window comes in display mode, whereas while creating output message through LP, it allowed me to configure it. So first question, how can I enter my output setting in ME38 where SA is created through LPA.
Secondly document is created through LPA, but I cannot release it through ME84. I followed all the required settings, but its not letting me release the document, the traffic light is constant RED. Any ideas?
Lastly, No GR. Going through forum messages, I learnt that until the document is not released I cannot do GR. The dates of lines I changed it to post date, even behind the post date, but its still coming up as document doesnot have selectable items. Please help
    Thanks/Afshad

    Hello Prasand,
Your answer was helpful, but all these steps mentioned by you were already followed by me. My one question got answered there, why I get the messages in ME38 in uneditable format, but when I use ME84 for SA release, the result comes up in Red, and there I dont see any option to go further. Am I missing any step before it?
I clicked on List>Print Preview, the messages of JIT are there, then I click List> Print, dialog box comes up asking Output Device, I use default device LP01 there and then when I click OK message comes up Spool request (number 0000005941) created without immediate output and the problem remains no Sa released. Any help?
    3. Ensure that the output message condition records for output types LPJ1 / LPH1 maintained.
Is this line refering to Customizing>MM>Purchasing>Messages>Output control>conditions tables?Define Condition tables, if yes I dont know how to configure this and havent read anywhere how to get this part configured.
I configured Output control>Messages Determination Schemas>Define messages schemas for SA>Define Message determination schemas, there in control data, i put LPJ1 and LPH1 requirements as 105 which is for delivery schedule, earlier it was pointing to 109 and 111, then Assign Schema: Sa release/expiditer I checked the R indicator. Am I correct?
I guess without the SA release, I cannot do the GR against my SA as when I do GR it gives message no selectable items.

  • Scheduling Agreement - Automatic Release Individual Schedule Lines

    Dear all.
I've create a "LPA" scheduling Agreement and its release type is "JIT". So, I use to ME38 to maintain the individual JIT delivery schedule lines.
The problem I have is this method requires the person to manually release each individual delivery schedule line document on the due date before GR is allowed. Hence, is there a SAP system function that can automatically release any due delivery schedule line document without having to manually track and release using ME38 each day/week/month?
    Thanks.

    Hello
use t.code ME84 then system release the sch.lines automatically those maintained with me38.

  • ME38 resets Release strategy of Scheduling agreement

    Hello,
It seems when the users change the delivery date  in the delivery schedule (transaction ME38), the system in some cases resets the release strategy of the scheduling agreement from "Release" to "Not Release".It happened only in some case, release indicator set to "4" in our case.
I cannot understand why this happens.
Has anyone encountered such a problem before.
    Thanks

  • Schedule agreement releases

How I will come to know the Schedule Agreement is released or not in ME84? LPA is agreement type.
ME84 I have executed and next screen green light is coming.
But while going to ME33L and seeing Release number ,its 0.
Please explain how I can do this?
    Thanks

    Hi PS,
You need to output the last relase. Once you process it's output successfully, it would be considered. Otherwise not.
Any release which is not transmitted, is not considered as valid for use in SA.

  • Scheduling Agreement with LPA

    Hi,
I am trying to generate schedule lines and release them to delivery schedules with doc type LPA.
I have done the settings in MRP2 view and done the settings in source list, info record and scheduling agreement.
I have created and Plnd Independent requirements in MD61 and executed the planning run in MD02 but unable to create schedule lines.
Could you please advise me if i am missing any settings or config's.
I wan to know how the zones work with LPA and how the whole cycle and the functions available with LPA.
    Responses will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Mittu G

    hi
These are the Prerequisites befor you go on to SA with release
Scheduling agreement releases (FRC and JIT schedules) can only be generated for scheduling agreements with release documentation (in the standard system, document type LPA).
(In the standard system, the Release docu. indicator is selected for document type LPA in Customizing for Purchasing under
Scheduling Agreement -> Define Document Types.)·
If you wish to work with JIT delivery schedules, the JIT schedule indicator must be set in the material master record (Purchasing or MRP 2 view) and the Additional data of the scheduling agreement item.
You create SA releases by means of the Purchasing menu via
    Scheduling agreement -> Create release
Choose release type ->FRC and JIT delivery schedulesSelect scheduling agreements - Specification of plant
Scope of selection- Changed or next date
Creation- According to strategy in profile, Tolerance check active
On the days on which the next FRC date (1st. Monday in the month) or the next JIT date (Monday each week) is reached, scheduling agreements with the above profile settings are selected and SA releases (delivery schedules to be issued to the vendor) created (because the next creation date has been reached).
    Reward points if useful
    Thanks & Regards

  • Schedule Agreement filed- lphis

    Hi
In the customizing for the document type for the scheduling agreement there is check box for Release documentation, which says that if it is activated then forecast schedule will be saved in a seperate file and displayed anytime.
This tick was activated in our client which prevented the goods receipt and system says 'no selectable item found'. When i removed the tick, the system allowed the goods receipt. We are using only standard schedule agreement with out forecast and jit schedules.
Could anybody inform me the significance of the field LPHIS. Does the activation of release documentation requires schedule agreement schedule lines to be printed before goods can be receipted.
    Regards
    Arvind

    Hello,
there are two kind of SA,  SA with and without release documentation.  if the field LPHIS is set  so you have SA with release documentation.
Now, if you are managing SA using SA with release documentation you have to perform the Scheduling agreement release process, otherwise all schedule lines remain  non official.
hereafter a descritpion of the Release process "source : the standard SAP document page 221
    http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/MMPUR/MMPUR.pdf"
    Scheduling Agreement Releases: Process
    Purpose
    A scheduling agreement release
enables you to record the current status of the lines of a delivery schedule stored in the system
for a scheduling agreement item and then transmit this status to the vendor.
    Process Flow
    1. Materials Planning generates delivery schedule lines for scheduling agreement items. You
can also create schedule lines manually.
    2. You create scheduling agreement (SA) releases (delivery schedules) comprising the
schedule lines for a certain scheduling agreement item. These are snapshots of the overall
delivery schedule stored in the system at given points in time.
In creating such releases, the system proceeds as follows:
    a. If a creation profile exists, it aggregates the release (i.e. scheduled) dates and quantities.
    b. It generates an SA release in accordance with the creation strategy and the entries on
the initial screen for SA release creation.
    c. If a creation profile exists, it determines any backlogs and immediate requirements.
    d. If a creation profile exists, it checks any applicable tolerances in the case of SA releases
created due to changes to the overall schedule in the system.
    3. The releases (delivery schedules) are transmitted as messages to the vendor.
    regards

  • Scheduling agreement JIT

    Hello Experts
If Scheduling agreement is released JIT does still able to release before after the delivery date ? any restriction.
JIT is only for customer to notify the delivery date or on time  ? or else back our own system also get restricted ?
    thanks
    MM

JIT is short term requirement and should be released well before delivery date as agreed with supplier.

  • About scheduling agreement

    Hi,
Can anoybody tell me that what is the difference between scheduling agreement with release document and scheduling agreement w/o release document?
what are the benefits of the scheduling agreement with release document?
    Thanks
    Ashish

    Hi Ashish,
Release nothing but creating output messages which we will send to vendor ( just like purchase order output message like printouts), by automatically ( without release, document type LP) or depending upon certain criteria i.e with release, document type LPA.
If you ar using scheduling agreements without release documentation ( document type LP), the message is generated directly. i.e the movement you save the schedule lines the system creates the delivery schedule and sends to the vendor
If you are using scheduling agreements with release documentation ( document type LPA), you must explicitly generate SA releases ( FRC or JIT)
The schedule lines of a scheduling agreement release contain finalized information for the vendor regarding quantities and delivery dates. The schedule lines are recorded with the aid of the release documentation and can thus be displayed and verified at any time. The release documentation enables you to see which schedules you transmitted to the vendor during the last two weeks, for example, and check the correctness of goods receipts against the relevant schedule lines.
In the case of with release (delivery schedules) the output messages are controlled by creation profile.
    Creation profile
    1.     it aggregates the release (i.e. scheduled) dates and quantities
    2.     It generates an SA release in accordance with the creation strategy and the entries on the initial screen for SA release creation.
    3.     The releases (delivery schedules) are transmitted as messages to the vendor
The advantage of with release is you can create forecast delivery schedule (FRC) and Just in time delivery schedule ( JIT)
    Forecast (FRC) delivery schedule
Provides the vendor with longer-term data regarding the quantities needed of a material and when delivery is required. In such schedules, the timing of delivery is usually expressed in terms of calendar months or weeks. Note: approximately equivalent EDI terms for the ”forecast delivery schedule” are: ”planning schedule with release capability” (ANSI 830) ”delivery schedule (message)” (EDIFACT DELFOR), and ”delivery instruction” (ODETTE DELINS).
    •       Just-in-Time (JIT) delivery schedule
Provides the vendor with data on required quantities and desired delivery dates/times covering the near future. In such schedules, the timing of delivery is usually expressed in terms of specific days or even times of the day. Note: equivalent EDI terms for the ”JIT delivery schedule” are: ”Shipping schedule”: (ANSI 862) and ”Delivery just in time message” (EDIFACT DELJIT).

  • Schedule Lines generated for expired Scheduling agreements

    Hi All,
We are facing problems in Scheduling agreements.
Schedule lines are getting generated for those agreements whose validity has expired(i.e Validity in Past).
Is there any check to restrict those Scheduling Agreements??
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ritesh.

from OSS note 914607 - FAQ: Validity and status of scheduling agreements
    1. Question: When I process scheduling agreements without delivery schedules, I have the option to specify the validity of the scheduling agreement: "Valid" and "Valid to". What role does the validity play when the scheduling agreement is processed?
Response: In the case of scheduling agreements without delivery schedules, the system checks the validity of the scheduling agreement if you create a new schedule line or change an existing schedule line. If the schedule line date is outside the validity interval, a warning message is issued. You can then decide whether or not to create the schedule line or whether to adjust the validity of the scheduling agreement. No error message is issued.
    2. Question: What role does the validity play in the case of scheduling agreements with delivery schedules?
Response: The function is similar to scheduling agreements without delivery schedules. The only difference is that the entry of the validity is optional (unlike scheduling agreements without releases) and this is not checked by the system. If the validity is missing, the system does note issue a warning message. If you specify the validity, the system behaves in the same way as for scheduling agreements without releases.

  • EDI for scheduling agreement

    Hello Experts,
We are having a scenario wherein our customer sends JIT and Forecast schedules which we update to already created scheduling agreements. The customer sends these details through EDI and we are using DELJIT.DELFOR01 to update the scheduling agreement.
Now for EDI, i guess SAP allows only 1 scheduling agreement at a time. However we are having scenario where we create a new scheduling agreement before the earlier gets complete (typically overalapping scenario) and customer can send the schedules with dates later than the current scheduling agreement.
The requirement is such extended schedule lines should be updated to new agreement while the rest should be updated to the current one.
If anyone faced such issue let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
    regards
    rajeev

    Hi Praveen,
we could always create a Z-function module. however thats lot of work and lot of customization. i am looking for a solution which would just be an enhancement to the existing funtionality (maybe some user-exit or enhancement or any configuration change).

I have created a scheduling agreement with release. The FRC and JIT delivery schedules are created and transnmitted to vendor.
I am not able to make GR for the first delivery schedule line. If I give the ref. as the schedulinjg agreement in GR, System gives a message " document XYZ does not cantain any selectable items"

    Hi Madhura,
I checked all the parameters and found that the delivery date in schedule is 21.11.2008. I tried to post Gr with posting date as 21.11.2008, but the system is giving the message "Document 5500000138   does not contain any selectable items"
I had already checked the schedule is released and transmitted to vendor. The status is green agaist that scedule.
