Prints DO NOT come out like I edited them in Lr!
When I edit my photos in Lr, they look stunning! When I export them to my computer (pictures) to store them and send them off to a photolab, the quality is awful! My pictures are very dark, grainy, blurry and sometimes distorted! For example, I enjoy using the presets to make some of my exposures look aged. When I recieve the print, it looks too dark and ruins the "aged look" I was going for. I shoot in raw, and my resolution when exporting is 500. Any ideas to help me? I'm getting frustrated and wasting money printing what I intend to be gifts for family and friends? It could possibly be my photolab that I am using but I want to make sure that all my export settings are accurate too. Thanks!

Looks like a classic case of your monitor's being set too brightly.
Take a blank piece of white photo paper and hold it next to a empty word processor document on the screen. Is the screen brighter than the paper? It almost certainly is.

Distilled down: You need to have a good regiment of color profiling for you monitor that includes setting the brightness to an appropriate level.

HP LaserJet P3005x will not come out of sleep mode
Printer will not come out of sleep mode (after being in sleep mode for an extended period of time (over 24 hrs)). When this happens, I can not ping the printer and pressing any of the buttons on the printer will not bring it out of sleep mode. I'm testing now to see if I can recreate this with the printer attached to my PC via USB.

I understand your monitor is not coming out of sleep mode. Take a look at the following support document, Resolving Problems with Sleep and Hibernate Modes (Windows 7). Step 3 might be of particular interest to you, as you mentioned your keyboard and mouse are not really working for you either. Perhaps it is another connected device that is causing the issue? I have elements 12 Mac and I can not print 4X6, it comes out 8X10 using HP7520. It was fine until now. I can print 4X6 with iPhoto and off the printer scanner. Help?
I should add that it's an HP photosmart 4280.I found it online and it shows the Mac 0SX operating system.

Monitor does not come out of sleep Mac-Mini Mini-DVI to Dual DVI-D cable
I have an August 2009 Mac-Mini that I'm using with an Apple supplied Mini-DVI to DVI adapter along with a DVI-D Dual Link Cable connect to a Sceptre X7XV-Naga+ LCD monitor.
The monitor is going into sleep mode on its own with no way to disable this feature on the monitor itself. I've disabled sleep mode on the Mac-Mini in the power setting in System Preferences.
When in sleep mode and I move the mouse or press a key, the monitor will not come out of sleep mode. From other posts, I read that the issue might be that I wasn't using a Dual-Link DVI-D cable, so I bought one and installed such a cable. That has not resolved the problem. The monitor will not come out of sleep mode. When I have the monitor connected with a mini-display port to VGA adapter instead of a DVI-D cable, it will come out of sleep mode every time.

I have the same exact problem. Difference being I'm using an iMac with 10.7.5.
Same video board and monitor - ATI Radeon HD 6750M video card connected via DisplayPort to Samsing S24A850DW.
I've tried two different mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort cables and no change.
I think I read that 10.8.3 might fix the issue. Anyone that can confirm that, or has another solution? -
my ipod generation 5 will not come out of recovery mode. i was simply updating my software and this happened. it will not let me restore it comes up with and error. please help, thanks.

Sounds like you can't update your device. You don't mention an error that it gives you. Take a look at both of these articles to troubleshoot.

If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.

Upload a pdf file,fill it in, print it,it comes out blank
Go to a pdf irs file complete it preview it all info correct
Print it, it comes out as a blank form none of the info input is on the formIf you just want to print a copy for your records, fill out the form like you want it, hit Print but at the dialog box don't actually select Print but instead Save as PDF:
Save it to your Desktop or somewhere, open that file and then print. -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:

When I take a picture with my back camera the pictures have black bars on the top and bottom. They do not come out 4 inches. How do I fix this?
Because the screen aspect ratio is different that the camera aspect ratio. The only way it could fill the screen vertically would be either to stretch/distort the photos vertically or to cut off some of the photos on the sides.

Hi there could someone out there please help i've got a Iphone 4 running on IOS 5 and it will not come out of recovery mode> It comes up with the error code -1 which i've looked everywhere on the web but no one seams to have the same issue.
This is a reconditioned replacement phone from the apple genius guys which i paid £130 for and only got 3 months warranty with and as soon as the warranty run out it crashed on me and never been able to get it back out of recovery mode. I've been back to the apple genius guys and they have told me there's nothing they can do other than charge me £130 to take the phone off me and give me another reconditioned phone with a 3 month warranty. Which as you can properly tell i dont want to.

ipod touch 4g wont connect to itunes or come out of recovery mode, its just stuck on the connect to itunes screen and will not come out, i tried doing a restore but something happened and now it wont finish or do anything else please help and my itunes will not see that its connected. i also tried going though control panel and restarting the service and nothing happens. also i tried redoing the driver but its saying it cannot find any drivers for it

External hard drive does not come out in desktop
greetings! whenever i plug in an external hard drive or a USB flash disk through usb, it does not come out in the desk top. before, it used to come out, now it doesn't. i am still using the exact macbook. i think i touched something in the settings. please help
Go to finder and choose preferences under finder in the menu bar. Now check and see if under General you have the choices clicked of what you want to show on the desk top.

I have a disk in my mac but it does note come out useing command e to eject? how do i get it out or do I have to get it jixed?
Force eject a stuck cd/dvd
First try the normal methods to remove the disc. Drag its icon to the Trash can in the Dock or select 'Eject' from the File menu.
If you are running a virtual machine, e.g. VMFusion, ensure that the CD is disconnected from the virtual machine. This will sometimes allow the CD to now show up in Mac OS X.
Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
If you have Toast Titanium installed on your computer, choose EJECT DISC from the menubar.
Sometimes you can successfully use the eject disc button in iTunes even if the disc is not visible to the Finder
Open Disc utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.

I Have a iphone 4s and can't get the charger to come out...it was hard to get out the time before but i thought it was just me so then i charged it last night tryed taking it out and it is stuck on one side and will not come out...any suggestions on how to get it out?
You will just have to carefully pull harder. Push the other side back in so it is aligned, then pull it straight out.

Have a iMac 3.3 mhz, tried to upload pix to an app and Finder went into the wheel of death and would not come out.. When it "Got Lost" I also lost the ability to even type on the machine in ANY APPLICATION. Have run utilities, made repairs and still no typing/text. On Thurs or Friday (10/24 or 10/25) Maverick was installed so this may be a problem that it created. As it happens I didn't ask for Maverick. How do I fix the "Finder" on the machine if i can't even type on it??

Why are there duplicate results in the Open With menu?
