Prints in JBuilder; but not as application

I am using the 1.4 PrinterJob for Graphics2D with PrintServices. This is very similar to the example from Sun. It prints just fine when I run the program inside JBuilder7. When I run it as an application under Windows, the print() method is called, but nothing ever appears on the printer. There is a job qued in the print manager, but it never prints. I am trying to print to an hp 750. If anyone sees what I am missing I would greatly appreciate your response.

I checked carefully; I am starting java with a shortcut pointing to same path as jre set in JBuilder C:\...java.exe -cp etc.
Occasionally the program WILL print stand alone, but most often will not. Always generates a print request in print manager but it never processes. Any other thoughts?

Boot from the original OS installer disk and do an Erase & Install.
When the Mac reboots into Mac Setup Assistant Quit and shut it down.

HP D110 AIO printer. Prints jam when printing with wireless, but not when hooked to USB cable! HELP!

From what you describe you are having issues printing from MS Office. Have you had trouble printing from other resources on your computer (e.g. from the internet or another program)? The first thing I am going to suggest is that we start by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer from the resources available online.
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it (this is important). Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.

So I can't download itunes software updates or update my iphone even though I have just verified my info. I know others that have this problem but can't get support to resolve it.

Full page prints from iPhone but not from iPad using photo app with AirPrint ? iPad only prints 4x6 on full size paper. It's an HP 8600.

I also have this problem printing photos from an iPad to an Epson WF-2540 printer. It prints only 4x6 and without border (so print starts at extreme top left corner of paper). Borderless printing is not selected on printer. Printing a square photo just crops to 4x6 size.

I can't see firefox. But, In windows task manager, firefox shows as a process but not an application. Icon shows in the tray.

I downloaded and reinstalled firefox to try to eliminate an aggravation- playtopus. Now it doesn't load onto my desktop. I see the icon in the tray. In Task Manager I see firefox listed as a process. But not an application.

64 Bit Applications Print to PDF but 32 Bit Applications do not

Vista Home Premium x64. All updates installed. SP1 is installed.
Acrobat 8.1.2 as a part of CS3.
Printer Port is set to Documents/*.pdf
Printing fails with Spool print docs or Print directly to Printer selected.
All 64 Bit Applications work.
All 32 Bit Applications fail while 'spooling' according to the Print
Spooler. Printing documents cannot be paused or deleted.
The acrotray.exe and the application from which you are printing must be
killed by Task Manager. And a reboot is necessary to clear the print cue.
The Microsoft Hotfix KB930627cannot be applied due to SP1 having released a
newer version of GDI32.dll.
All applications can successfully print to any other printer on the network.
The Message "Adobe PDF creation cannot continue because Acrobat is not
activated." This is not the case. Acrobat is activated.
A repair installation has been done.
Hopefully this is enough information for someone to advise me.
I see many instances of users complaing since late last year. Is there a
solution to this problem yet?

HP DJ1510 AIO Printer-CAN SCAN BUT NOT PRINT

I installed SW & HW as per HP instructions on my comp (WinXP-SP2). Scanning worked but cannot print as the printer driver (which may be missing or faulty on the CD and also in installation files downloaded from HP web site) does not get installed.
HP, India has not come up with any solution to this issue despite my spending many hours with them since 20/9/14.
HP needs to give me a patch for installing printer driver in my OS, which should not be difficult for a company like HP.
I am now frustrated with this HP product & its service. All promises but nofollow up or even phones are not picked up
Who will help me or should I throw away this HP printer.

I understand that your HP Deskjet 1510 can scan but not print with Windows XP (Service Pack 2). I am happy to help!
According to your printer's specifications, found at this website, HP Deskjet 1510 and Deskjet Ink Advantage 1510 All-in-One Printer Series Product Specifications. This printer is only supported on Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and above. You can select System requirements, and then Windows system requirements, once you have visited that website.
Also, please take a look at this reply, Re: cannot find priner, by my colleague @Jamieson, from your older post, that will help you upgrade your Windows XP Service Pack.

HP 3210, OS X, can print w USB but not w WiFi. Can ping and access printers webpage.

I can connect and print on my HP 3210 directly via USB but not via the network. I can ping the printer and access its built in webpage through the network though, so it has network connection. When I try to add a network printer no printer shows up, so I manually add the printers IP address (valid and complete) and the ‘Generic PostScript Printer’ comes up as default. After I installed the printer through USB I can also access the specific 3210 drivers but it doesn't work either.
I once managed to print '%!PS-Adobe-3.0 Query userdict (\004)cvn{(\004) print flush}put', then it continued to feed out blank papers until I canceled. I've tried the IPP, LPD and HP Jetdirect socket protocols together with the universal PostScript driver and the HP 3210 driver. One of the combinations returned the above line. Besides this one exception nothing happens, the printer appears offline.
Computers: One MacBook Pro 15" from 2011 with OS X 10.7.5 and two new MacBook Pro 13" with OS X 10.8

It could be that your router does not support Bonjour or it is not enabled. Go into the router settings and look for mDNS or Bonjour and make sure it is enabled.

Fistly, what a great forum! I'm a recent convert to iBooks, have been reading as much as I can on this site to try to become as much of an expert as possible.
After much swearing I've now worked out how to use my Lexmark Z12 printer. If I reboot into OS9, I'm able to install the drivers from the cd and the printer works.(I've spent many frustrating hours downloading both the OS9 and the OSX drivers from the Lexmark website, but they just do not work when I'm in OSX.)
This is a bit of a drag as it means having to transfer documents between OSX and OS9 by emailing myself! My question is, if my printer works in OS9, is there no way of printing in OSX with Classic running?
Also, are there any dangers in switching between operating systems so frequently?
I should probably bite the bullet and buy a new printer but the one I have works perfectly well and I hate waste!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
From what I can find online, it seems that the OS X drivers for your printer only work through OS X 10.2. Functionality of your printer was broken with OS X 10.3. Printing in Classic is not supported, according to what I've read.
You may find that buying a new printer is cost-effective if you compare the costs of replacement ink cartridges.
As far as I know, there is no hazard in switching between operating systems. Apple intended that it be used that way.

HP 4500 printing file name but not the context

I have an hp 4500 connected to my router via an rj45 and have a laptop connected via wireless to my router. When I print a document from word it prints the file name and not the context.
I have also tried to print an image but the same happen the file name got printed.
can any one help how i print the context on the file and not the name?
is it due to my BT router?

BT routers don't play well with HP printers, sorry.
However, before we blame the BT, re-install the HP software from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.

I'm having the same issue. On my MBP 15" OS 10.7.3 the Lexmark printer does not connect to WIFI. It works on the USB connection. In wifi however it will work on the Virtual Box Windows 7 partition.
In my logic this means the printer is properly connected to the wifi (green indicator and working with Virtual Box and Windows 7) The MBP is properly connected to the wifi network as Virtual Box works in the Mac's environment. The printer is present in the System Preferences indicating it is Idle and does have a IP address.
When I do send a document to the printer it just sits in the Que and in System Preferences the status goes to Busy. In the Que it also indicates it is busy until it tmes out and indicate that communication with the printer is a problem.
