Prior to installing iOS 6 on my iPhone 4, I could stream video and audio via "Air Video" and "Stream to Me" from my PC, to my TV via a HDMI adapter. Now I can only get video and no audio.
I have been able to stream,via wi-fi, TV shows, movies and music from my laptop through a HDMI adapter via my iPhone 4, to my television. I use mainly "Air Video" but also use "Stream to Me", both with the same results. Since the update to iOS6 this is not possible. I can still get video but now no audio. Help me!
I too am having this very problem. I have an iPhone 4S that is less than one year old. Prior to updating my iOS firmware, I was able to record and transfer video to my PC and view it with a variety of programs without any modifications. Since updating the firmware, all videos that have been taken are not viewable on my PC. I can hear the audio associated with the video, but the video is blank. I can transfer the file off my phone using the Windows transfer tool. Then sync the video back to my phone and it works just fine. I tried emailing the video to myself, that did not work. I rebooted my computer, no luck. I reinstalled QuickTime, still isn't working. I can still watch the videos that were made with iOS 5.1.1 but nothing made with iOS 6.
I have been successful with the following procedure: Once the video is transfered from the phone to my PC, I change the extension from .MOV to .MPG and this makes the video viewable with Windows Media Player; however, if the video is shot in a portrait orientation, it displays sideways in WMP as a landscape orientation. I have been able to then run the video through Microsofts MovieMaker program to right the video 90 degrees but the image comes out a little squatty like it's out of scale. In either case, it serves the purpose and I can export it to another .MPG format that I can then run through Sony Vegas and edit as I see fit. While it works, this is a huge hassle and I shouldn't have to do it.
Does anyone know of anything that is working? Are there new codecs somewhere that windows users need to get a hold of?

What apps are you trying? TV out video only works with apps that support TV out. If the app does not support TV out you will still get aoudio via the component cable

iMovie was removed from my macbook pro after I downloaded OS X Yosemite, I had it before and have used it, but now I can only get it through the app store. I can't pay for it so I would really appreciate the help.
Look in your applications folder for the installer - Install OS X Yosemite. Delete it. Then go back to the App Store purchases tab and see if you can download it. You might have to re-index Spotlight.

I initially tried to do this at 11:39pm last night. I cleaned up my apps, backed up to my computer and then took the plunge. It downloaded fine, everything went ok until I tried to restore backup. I received a message that there was an error in iTunes and iPhone could not be restored. I tried this three times giving up at 2:00 am. I tried again at 7:30am. No fix. Now I can open up phone and browse in safari. I can get notifications that a text was received or a phone message left but I can't receive or make phone calls, retrieve phone messages, or access any text features. Also I have NO purchased apps. I use my phone got work and this has ruined my day - please help!!
I would start with going to O2 with the phone and making sure it's set up properly - maybe the SIM they gave you isn't quite right or their network isn't acknowleding it like it should.
Seeing as you've tried restoring to factory settings and resetting network settings, I'm assuming you've tried restoring the phone as new, just to see if that helped at all. If that didn't help, you definitely need to get in touch with O2 and work things out with them.

I used to be able to sync songs that I imported from CDs into my library onto my iPad and iPad touch. Now I can only sync the purchased from iTunes songs. What has changed? Do I have to subscribe to iCloud to do this now?

iTunes should sync your entire library, and not just songs purchased from the iTunes Store, as mentioned in this article:

By default, iTunes automatically syncs your entire iTunes library whenever you connect your device to your computer. On each subsequent sync, iTunes will automatically add any new music or videos to the device and remove any items that are no longer in your iTunes Library.

Like stated in the question. I know about limited content on some apps however directv all supports AirPlay yet I only get audio.
If you only get audio then it isn't supported. Whoever develops the app is responsible for enabling airplay and you would need to contact them

If I try to update or restore it, a message pops up saying, "The Ipod software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later." How can I fix this? I really don't care about losing my data, cause I can just re-sync my songs and videos, and all my pictures are saved on a flash-drive. I had two iCloud account - one on my iPad set up with Me.com. Its a long story as to why I had two account which I will not the issue. I changed my iPad account to link up with my MacBook Pro account - which is my primary account. After doing this all seemed OK except I could not get y primary iClould email account set. When I tried to add my primary iClound email account it only allows you to add a NEW iClould account which is not what I want.

In my iCould account everything works except Mail - that being contacts, calendar, reminders, etc. When it comes to mail it is currently OFF. When I turn it ON, it states that I need to create a NEW free iClound account, and allowing me to establish my existing account.
