Priority 1 Workitem: Pop Up to be blocked

Hi all.
I have a std task with priorty 1. A user who is getting the pop up does not want them. He wants the workitem minus the pop up. Is that possible ? if yes how?
And its interesting to know that some of the recievers of the same workitem (basically its a activity with sendtaskdescription) are not getting the pop ups!!
Please reply as its kind of urgent .

Can't help you with the question, but I know it has been discussed before, so I would encourage you to search (use Google, it is actually easier to find many of the threads there than in the SDN search - just limit the search with search criteria "site:.sap.com").
Of course, there's always the ultimate response of: debug - but I think someone had a pretty close look at it in one of the other threads. My <u>guess</u> is that there is nothing you can do about it, because it is the task it self that has high priority, so it is high priority independently of who receives it.

That isn't really related to urgency at all in my opinion. It would be urgent if you had to fix it within a certain time, that's why I was asking - because that word is misused a lot here in SDN. OK, it's a pain in your butt with all those e-mails, but other than you I honestly don't think anyone here cares about that.
Tell the nag (user) that you are looking into it and that answering his (or her) e-mails gives you less time available to look into the problem.

You might want to talk to the IT dept. at your school to see if they know of a solution.

Pop-up windows are blocked even though I uncheck "Block pop-up windows" in the options.

In Facebook, when I try to launch the player to play all the songs Songs iLike, it does not work. Instead, an empty window opens up. Also in Windows Live, when I try to pop out my conversations, it just says "If your pop out window is blocked, check your browser settings." and the same empty window appears.

You may have another pop-up blocker on that PC, maybe as part of a security program.

Adobe Flash Player pop-up screens are blocking correct operation of IE

As soon as I start up Internet Explorer, Flash Player pop-up screens start appearing. After selecting the No-button it disappears and re-appears again and so on. Finally a request for an installation permit screen pops-up and IE is switched off and restarting again. Is there something I can do?

I first tried another option, removing and re-installing Flash Player, and
that solved my problem so far. I am not able to send you screen views as
they don't appear any more this moment.

How do I dis-able the pop-up blocker when the box is not checked and yet, pop ups are being blocked?

I want to totally disable Mozilla's pop-up blocker. I went to the tools/options page and found that the pop up blocker box is not checked but it is still blocking pop-ups. I see that others are having the same problem. How do we fix it, or, is this a programming issue and if so, is Firefox fixing it? It is quite annoying.

Could you click the Exceptions button to the right of "Block pop-up windows" and make sure none of those sites is specifically blocked?
If you have unchecked the box and there is no site-specific setting, that usually does it...
Is it possible that an add-on is doing the blocking? A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
Check the Options dialog > Content to make sure the pop-up blocker is turned off.
If popups now work correctly, this points to one of your extensions as the most likely culprit. If you restart in normal mode, you can try disabling (or adjusting the options of) any that seem possibly popup-related (e.g., security related) here:

How to change the priority of workitem

im using the task to trigger the work item.
normally the work item is coming with priority 5 that is medium. can i trigger the workitem with the priority decided by me in the method?
generally who will decide the priority of the work item ?
please suggest.

You can change the priority at runtime using Function module
SAP_WAPI_CHANGE_WORKITEM_PRIO
or
you can define the priority in the Workflow step from the OTHER or MISCELLANEOUS Tab.

How can I allow pop-ups even after "Block pop-ups" is NOT checked?

When I'm on the Google Drive website (https://drive.google.com/) and I click Create > Document, I get the following message:
"Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page."
My only options on the far right are "Allow", and "[X]" to exit.
The URL for any new document starts with "https://docs.google.com/".
Seeing as creating a new Google document forces a new tab to open, I felt that this would fall under "pop-up windows".
Help, please!

This is not because of a blocked popup.<br>
This is an accessability setting.
You can turn this off, by following these steps:
#Go to the Firefox Options
#Select the General Tab
#Uncheck the Warn me when websites try to reload...

I seem to be getting lots of pop ups appearing, despite blocking pop-ups in my options

I now seem to be getting a lot of pop-up in Firefox, despite having pop-up blocked in settings>content.
I also get separate windows opening for gaming/ trahs sites.
In certain websites I also get words which now link to bizzy bolt websites, which are now way related to the website I am viewing.

You may have an unwanted extension that is generating the ad popups. Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable. Or remove.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that eliminate the popups?
If you find extensions that do not have a Remove button, usually this indicates that they were installed externally. Check the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Click the "Installed on" column header to bring recent additions to the top and reveal items that were bundled together, perhaps without your knowledge.

High priority notification without pop up

Is there any way in workflow to send a high priority email notification to agent without the pop-up?

I've done exactly as you guided but still in MSS inbox the notification is coming with Normal priority.
Although when I checked the workflow instance, the step is showing High priority.
I also tried to change the priority to Very High and Highest - Express but still inbox notification is showing normal priority, although everytime i can see in workflow instance that priority is changed to what I set, but its not reflecting in inbox.
Plz help.

Basically I agree with you. But í know from experience, that users responds where sensible by changing
cosmetic configuration.
We´re using prio 1 for incoming invoices which have cash discount relevance...The amount of documents is so high that the pop-up from express notification is an annoying damage for the receiving users. But the red highlighting is a good and fast way
to filter the relevant workitems in workplace...
I´will searching for an alternative way to highlight the workitems in workplace and deadlines are also an interesting way
that i´ll analyze.
Is there anybody else who can tell me how to highlight workitems in workplace without giving them the prio1 ?

New breed of pop-ups not being blocked?

Websites are using some sort of pop-up that doesn't get blocked like the normal ad type pop-up? Usually the pop-up ask some sort of question when you first visit the site(i.e. would you like to sign up for our news letter, etc..) . These pop-ups are annoying because you have to close them before you can see the page contents you are visiting. Yahoo mail uses one of theses pop-ups when you log out of your email asking you to make yahoo.com your home page.
I've noticed that these pop-ups are becoming more frequent and more websites are using them. BigFishgames.com just popped one at me about a new game they've added.
I am getting tired of having to close these pop-ups all the time!
Does any one know how to stop them?

UWL workitem pop up autoclose

Hello, I am trying to autoclose the pop up when a user opens a workitem like user decision and makes a choice.
Is this possible?

Hi Mario,
The answer lies in from where this decision button is coming. If it's part of your application, for example Leave request It's easy.
The way we have done it is
1. on UWL action we are launching a page.
2. This page has got two iViews. One for user decision and another par based iView which is faceless
3. On user decision, after the procession raise an EPCF event.
4. Catch this event in par based iView and fire JavaScript to close the window.
If the User decision buttons are coming from UWL configuration, it will get a bit tricky. I haven't tried this and don't think there is a straightforward way to achieve this.

How do I stop a pop up from being blocked? I am attempting to fill out a job application and a portion of the site is being "blocked by my browser".

I can't finish a job application because "my browser is blocking a pop up section of the form where they are asking for additional info. The site is using Taleo.
