I was placed on the priority list @ my apple store (otay ranch town center, ca) on 7/6. And was wondering who else has been placed on the list for that store? When did you receive your "moving up the list" e-mail and have you got your iphone yet?

I reserved on 7/3 and I haven't gotten mine yet. Has anyone gotten theirs?

  • K8N Neo2 platinum (nF3) + San Diego?

Will it work, does anyone know? I have a Venice now and a San Diego arriving on Friday, just wanted to know if it works or not so I may have to cancel the order if necessary. I wish MSI kept ahead like DFI on the BIOS front!

Hmm… seems like they have removed both venice and san diego from testing phase and OK status in the K8N Neo2 support list, which were there some days ago.

Something is going on – maybe 1.6 wasnt fully compatbile with venice/san diego - hopefully a new 1.7 bios ?
I can´t see why venice / san diego would not work with a proper biosupdate – but as you said – they are late with bios updates.

  • 939 san diego 3700 e6 core with k8t ?

Has anybody got a san diego 3700 e6 core to work with any k8t ?I have been trying to find a msi m/b which I can be sure will support my "bought in error cpu."
I have had a glance on the msi site but the e6 core does not seem to be in any recommended list, returning the cpu is not an option!

Some of the MSI ATi MB's have onboard graphics as well. If you go to the top of the forum where the MSI tag is there is a product link. You can click it to see all the MB's and their respective specs. You can also see which CPU's they support as well on each MB page. That is the best I can suggest as you are the one that has to make a decission based on what you want and what you have to spend. The MB you have is an awesome performer but no one knew that the E6 cores would change things. I guess that is why MSI made it a legacy MB. Sorry I wish I could help more on this MB but unfortunatly I just don't know what MSI is doing about the Bios issue with this CPU. They simply don't tell us anything here.

Ok guys, first of all, my specs are listed at the bottom. When everything was all connected, I turned on my computer and nothing showed up on the screen. The hard drive was working and there was power to the mobo. What do u think is the problem?  IF i need a bios update, how do i update it if i cant even see anything on the screen? Thanks guys.

i had this problem when i put a sata drive on my computer. i downloaded the sata driver from msi live update, installed it and that fixed my problem.
This can't be driver related. How can a driver have an effect at POST?
    Turok_t,
Before you consider going through all of the below, try removing the motherboard from the case and place it on the antistatic bag the board came with and try to POST with only the CPU, 1 stick of RAM, VGA. No drives connected at all.
What thermal interface material are you using? Paste or the pad that came on the retail heatsink? (Assuming you have the retail version of the heatsink installed)
48c is slightly warm but not bad, perhaps the room temperature is warm where you live?
You could try reseating your CPU and heatsink.
If you are using the thermal pad that came with the heatsink, I suggest you leave the unit powered on for a while to heat up the interface pad, as the materail can be very sticky when cool and take your CPU right out of the socket if you are not careful. This should soften the material slightly so you can gently remove the heatsink, and if there is a little room, try rotating the heatsink a little befor removing it. That should help alleviate some of the surface tension created from the adhesion. Before you do this, I suggest you get some Arctic Silver 5 as you cannot re-use the stock thermal pad.

  • K8N Neo2 Plat and San Diego Core

What is the best bios with the San Diego Core?  I'm currenlty running a AMD 3000+ Venice (LBBLE 0516CPBW) and want to switch.  I'm currently running a Syar moded bios.  I'm at work and don't know which one I'm running.

Same bios + new Win XP installation.
You really should take a look at the cpu-list.
    All these cpu models are covered with the 1.B /C1 bioses;

It may be that there working on the system in your area or are they having any special events in your when they do that can tax the system some what and it cause what your seeing..  You might want to give Customer Service a call and ask for a Tech Rep.. see if there having any issues in your area and while your on the phone with them,  have them check your PRL code.. it may need updating and the rep may have to push it to your phone.. b33

  • Apple's in-store priority list

hey, so i signed up for the priority list on monday at my local store here in NJ for the iPhone 4 and have yet to hear anything back. has anyone had any luck with said priority list? i can't get a straight answer out of anyone re:if the phones are even coming into stores, haha.
    thanks!

This is annoying me as well.
I went on the list at the new Apple Store in Newcastle (UK) at 5pm on the 24th of June and have had nothing further to the confirmation email.
I called the store the other day and asked a few questions; Are you getting iPhone deliveries? If so, how many are getting delivered on average? How long is the priority list? How many iPhones did you sell today for example? None of these could be answered.
I dont understand the lack of information. How could an employee not know how much stock they have, or how many of a particular item they have sold in a given day?! I want to throw £600 at Apple. I just want to know whether it would be quicker to do it in store, or wait the projected 3 weeks it takes over the internet. It makes no sense whatsoever to keep customers in the dark about this.

No, that's not a typo. The files are very small (only 270x480 pixels) at a very low bitrate (roughly 384 kbps or 0.4 Mbps). Thanks for asking.

  • Time Capsule - bought in San Diego USA. MacBook Pro bought in Jakarta, Indonesia. Why won't my Time Capsule set up? All I get is the flashing amber light.

I bought a Time Capsule in San Diego, California. I bought my MacBook Pro in Jakarta, indonesia where I live. I have Wi Fi in the house which I use for mail etc with my Mac. However, my Time Capsule will not set up, all I get is the amber flashing light. Could it be anything related with a production bought in the USA that may not be compatible (wireless frequency?) with a product bought in SE Asia?

Did you perform a "hard reset" on the Time Capsule before you tried to set it up?  That would be a requirement any time that you change locations or networks on the Time Capsule.
Power up the Time Capsule for a few minutes, then hold in the reset button firmly for 10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart to a slow, blinking amber light.  It is now reset and can be set up to connect to your "new" network.
Assuming that you have the right wall plug adapter, the Time Capsule will run on 100-240 Volts and 50-60 Hz, so it will operate just about anywhere in the world from a power standpoint.
There are some differences in allowed wireless channels between the U.S. and S.E. Asia, so use channels......36, 40, 44, or 48 on the 5 GHz band in case the higher channels are not allowed where you are.
