Prism 2.5 driver for Netra T1 200 at Solaris 10 - newbie

Did anybody compile driver for a Prism 2.5 wi-fi card on Solaris 10?
Please help. [email protected]

Hello,
thanks for help.
In order to change the scsi initiator on one of the two machines, I need the path of both interfaces.
Since now I changed it not.
As I know you do the following:
- switch off one server
- set auto-boot? to false
- reset-all
- probe-scsi-all
after that you have the path of both scsi interfaces. With that info you perform a nvedit and set the id of one machine for example to 6.
But I thought that regardless of the scsi id, I should be able to do a probe-scsi-all.
Was this a mistake from me?

  • Problems with driver for ATI xpress 200

    Hi all,
this morning I saw that there is KDE4 available. Straight away I installed the packages, run it and it crashed. There was a funny graphical effect just before the crash. This gave me the impression that the problems comes from the graphical driver. I tried the proprietary ATI driver which hangs once kdm is launched. Then I tried VESA which doesn't even start for some funny reason. Eventually I turned to the open source ATI drivers. With them I'm running KDE in resolution 1280x768 which is somewhat strange. So far, I haven't found a solution and think I need a help.

  • LabVIEW driver for TECAN or Thermo microplate reader ?

    Hi CC,
I was about to start developing a driver for the Infinity 200 using .Net to add it to my automated Plate Reader LIMS sytem.
We use it to grow yeast cells
I already have connectivety and control to the earlier Tecan Plate Readers ( Genios and Safire) using ActiveX calls to the Tecan RDROLE libraries. It works well, a few memroy leaks aside.
.Net progamming is new to me so I am hoping you may have made a strt that will point me in the right direction - if not I will eventually have something working.
I am alos workign on the Tecan EVO (liquid handling robot ) connectivity.
    thanks Michael

    Hi Michael,
Most of my projects will be on a stand-by for a few months, and I'm not sure the Tecan program will be among the firsts to be revived . However, your move could be a good trigger for me !
I also got the Tecan libraries but I only had time to give them a quick look. Being a Macintosh afficionado, my feelings about .Net programming are probably the same as those of a chicken for a monkey wrench
However, things can change assuming I have the proper driving force. We also the use the infinity to study yeast growth. What I would like to do is to program the liquid dispenser according to the growth results.
If YOU point me in the right direction, may be we could soon join our efforts ?
Feel free to contact me either here or directly at [email protected]
    Cheers

  • CS6: Windows 7: Driver needed for Monitor Philips 200 WP7

A friend and I have spent about an hour this afternoon trying to get an updated driver for my monitor - Philips 200 WP7.   My current driver is 1.0.0.0.     I only recently got CS6, and it says I should ideally update my driver.   Regrettably Philips doesn't supply a driver for my monitor with Windows 7, only with earlier versions of Windows.      Has anyone here updated this driver for Windows 7, and can they recommend anywhere where we can get hold of an update?
    Help would be much appreciated.

You don't need monitor drivers, the operating system runs it natively (plug'n'play).
What Photoshop is requesting is an updated video card driver. Not that Photoshop won't work without it, but some (minor) features may be disabled.

  • Max HD for Netra T1 AC/DC200?

I'm trying to find out the largest hard drive the Netra T1 AC/DC 200 will support. All the documentation I come across only lists the "official" sizes. I believe the connector is an 80-pin SCA. Thanks.

There were options for up to 146GB per drive available, but you can get a 300GB in SCA, prepare to pay it at 2$/GB
have a look at Seagate Cheetah 15K.5 SCSI ST3300655LC thats their biggest.

    # This example rules file contains:
    #   o syntax of a rule used in the rules file
    #   o rule_keyword and rule_value descriptions
    #   o rule examples
    # See the installation manual for a complete description of the rules file.
    # RULE SYNTAX:
    # [!]rule_keyword rule_value [&& [!]rule_keyword rule_value]... begin profile fi
    # nish
    # "[ ]" indicates an optional expression or field
    # "..." indicates the preceding expression may be repeated
    # "&&" used to "logically AND" rule_keyword and rule_value pairs together
    # "!" indicates negation of the following rule_keyword
    # rule_keyword a predefined keyword that describes a general system
    # attribute. It is used with the rule_value to match a
    # system with the same attribute to a profile.
    # rule_value a value that provides the specific system attribute
    # for the corresponding rule_keyword. A rule_value can
    # be text or a range of values (NN-MM).
    # To match a range of values, a system's value must be
    # greater than or equal to NN and less than or equal to MM.
    # begin a file name of an optional Bourne shell script
    # that will be executed before the installation begins.
    # If no begin script exists, you must enter a minus sign (-)
    # in this field.
    # profile a file name of a text file used as a template by the
    # custom JumpStart installation software that defines how
    # to install Solaris on a system.
    # finish a file name of an optional Bourne shell script
    # that will be executed after the installation completes.
    # If no finish script exists, you must enter a minus sign (-)
    # in this field.
    # Notes:
    # 1. You can add comments after the pound sign (#) anywhere on a line.

    Hi,
It seems to me that you have not created a proper sysidcfg file. From your post, it looks to me like your sysidcfg contains no entries. This is why it prompts you to enter the kernel path. Look on docs.sun.com for a guide to creating the sysidcfg file .

  • CORRECT DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7 AND HP COLOR LASER JET 4600dn

I'm having a problem with our IT department.  My old 4600dn worked great until they started downloading new drivers for Windows 7, which they installed just recently.  Now the one he INSISTS I use has only one tray selection.... Auto.  I'm trying to print business cards..(absolutely no problem till now).... but he INSISTS that this is the only driver. Then he wants me to choose Pg.....select 1, then MANUAL DUPLEX.  That's almost impossible for the printer. I'm almost POSITIVE you have a print driver that will allow me the tray selections I had before he installed Windows 7 and this particular driver.  I always used "Tray 1," CURRENT PAGE, it zoomed through the perforated cardstock like a streak!!!!  Now, the poor printer is trying to run perforated cardstock through the duplexing unit.  Out of 10 pages of cards, I ended up with 1 front printed and 9 pieces of cardstock that stuck in the tray and jammed in the duplexing unit.  Is there a CORRECT print driver for this particular printer that will allow all my normal functions to be visible and viable?  I don't have the model, nor serial #, as it is work printer and I'm at home now, so I can't get on chat.  He is hard to get along with and has been playing games this whole time.  I found one driver he inadvertantly left a day and a half ago and printed the cards like lightening, as it used to....7 minutes and I had 200 cards for two different staff members.  PLEASE HELP!  I think he's leading me down a merry path.  It also has to be able to duplex fairly heavy graphic pages...and even the driver he accidently left as an option, won't print the graphics.  I just KNOW you have a driver with all the options that will allow it to print to Windows 7 Operating System with all the former options.  HELLLLLLLP!
    Thanks sooooo much!

  • Using Current External Hard drive for Time Machine

I just set up Leopard (and it is SLOW right now), and I plugged in my External Hard Drive to set up Time Machine, but it said it had to erase the disk to get started with Time Machine. There is a lot of important stuff on there that I do not want to have to erase. Is there a way to partition my current drive so Time Machine can use that side, and I can keep my other stuff as-is.
I am not real familiar with all the partitioning stuff, so help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, WHERE are you going to BACKUP that data while you perform a re-partition???
    SubRosa might have your utility...

But with reliable 500GB Firewire drives well under $200, you should serious consider getting another drive for safety's sake.

  • The right external drive for my configuration

I am looking to get an external hard drive for backup purposes and also to extend the storage space of a sorely limited Powerbook G3. It has a 6GB hard drive. In other words, you can't use it for anything except the internet and a few documents!
I've done some research but am no closer to figuring out what drive would be best for me. The thing is, I need the convenience of a portable because I'll be using it for backup with all 3 of the computers in different places in the house (an iBook G4, a Powerbook G3, and an iMac G3). But because I'll be using it for 3 computers and want to store bootable clones of at least my iBook's 60GB drive and the iMac's 20GB drive, I need more storage space than I've seen in portables. I also need to be able to run applications off it for the Powerbook.
I don't think I can afford to get more than one drive, especially since portables seem pretty pricey. I'd really rather not spend more than $150 and definitely not more than $200.
Anyone have any suggestions for the best solution?

    Hi amybl,
You can get a portable 120-160GB firewire/USB drive for less than you think. OWC's drives are rated highly too.

If your PB is the Firewire model the Firewire 400 (w/o USB) is even cheaper.

  • Internal Hard Drive for my macbook

    Hi !
I'd like to know where can I buy an internal hard drive for my Macbook, and if there is a seize limit.
    I bought the MB on the 05th Nov. 2007 : MB 13" white ; 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2x1Go (667MHz DDR2 SDRAM) [right now] the hard drive is 160Go [FUJITSU MHY2160BH]
I'd like to know where I can buy it (in France if it's possible or on internet)
and if it's possible to get a 500Go
Moreover 7200t/m is better than a 5400t/m but does it use more ? is it noisly ?
I guess that with the on I have right now there is something which protect the hard drive in case of shocks.
    Thanks !

There is no capacity limit on the MacBook but I believe you will need a drive of maximum 12.5mm deep, to be certain I'd try to get a 9.5mm drive. 7,200 rpm drives are usually a little noisier and will use slightly more battery power when running. The "sudden motion sensor" is built in to the computer, not the drive - do be careful when buying your new drive as drives with built in drop protection can cause issue with the SMS in the computer. You can disable the SMS if need, just Google for instructions.

  • Largest Hard Drive for a Ti/800mhz

I am thinking on replacing my 40g with a larger one or even replacing the superdrive with another hd, I was wondering if my Ti will only see a max of 120g like my PM/G4's, I know it will see larger ones using firewire but this is a laptop and using an external hd just don't make since,,,,

I found some new information on this question. I apologize for not discovering it sooner, but I only came across it on the Western Digital website. It appears that any model introduced after June 2002, and the listed models, can handle a larger drive. Mine was introduced in April 2002, and purchased new in September 2002. But...see my notes at the end of this post.
Apple article HT2544 addresses this issue (see (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2544?viewlocale=en_US#bootrom), as does Western Digital Knowledge Base Answer ID 927 (see http://wdc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/wdc.cfg/php/enduser/stdadp.php?pfaqid=927).

Are EIDE drives larger than 137GB (128GB binary) supported in Mac systems
    Question
I am considering buying an EIDE drive larger than 137GB for my Mac system. Are EIDE drives larger than 137GB supported in Mac systems?
    Answer
Not all Mac systems can properly support EIDE drives larger than 137GB (128GB binary). In many cases, the system needs to be a newer Mac G4 or G5 system. According to Apple, there are two primary requirements that must be met to support these drives:
The computer must have Mac OS 10.2 or later
The system BootROM must provide support for the drive
For full details, please see Apple Document #86178.
Note: There are third-party controller cards designed for use with large EIDE drives and Macs. Please contact Apple or the card manufacturer to find out if a specific controller card will work with your Mac. According to Apple, you must still have OS version 10.2 or later, even with the controller card, to use the full drive capacity.
    +From Apple+:
There are two primary requirements that must be met for higher capacity hard drives to be fully utilized within a computer.
    1. The computer must have Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
    2. The computer must provide support for the drives via the BootROM.
    Products Affected
    Mac OS X 10.4, Mac OS X 10.3, Mac OS X 10.2, Mac OS X 10.5
Mac OS X 10.2 or later
The high capacity drive must be formatted using Mac OS X 10.2 or later in order for partition sizes beyond 128 GB to be recognized. If you plan to start the partition up from Mac OS 9.2.2, the partition sizes may be a maximum of 200 GB. If you have a drive that is larger than 200 GB in size, you will need to create multiple partitions with no single partition exceeding 200 GB in size. Once formatted, the drive will be recognized under the version of Mac OS 9.2.2 that comes with the Power Mac G4 (Mirrored Drive Doors) and later products.
If the drive is not formatted using Mac OS X 10.2 or later, the maximum volume size available is limited to approximately 128 GB.
    Support via the BootROM
The BootROM of Power Mac G4 (Mirrored Drive Doors), Xserve, Power Mac G5, and any other model introduced after June 2002 can accommodate these larger drives.
For additional details on the volume and file size limitations under OS X, see:
Mac OS X: Mac OS Extended Format - Volume and File Limits
Mac OS X Server 10.0.3 and later: Maximum UFS Partition Size Is Less Than 1 TB
Note that the 2 conditions appear to be in the conjunctive, not disjunctive; i.e., both must be met.
My TiBook doesn't seem to fit the parameters required to recognize larger drives. It was introduced in April 2002, and is not a Power Mac with Mirrored Drive Doors, nor an XServe or Power Mac G5.
However, I bought a 160 GB external hard drive some years ago. Disk Utility recognized it as 160 GB when I connected it via Firewire 400, and successfully partitioned it into 34.44 GB and 114.35 GB volumes, totaling 148.79 GB. This is quite more than the 128 GB limitation that concerns us.
So I wonder: Is an easy test just connecting an external hard drive larger than 128 GB and seeing if the OS recognizes it?
