Priting problem

Hi experts,
I have developed one report in smartforms and trying to printout on
Dot matrix printer.
When iam printing report(i have 5 pages) ,iam getting fine for first two pages.But third page onwords...
few lines of third page are getting printed in second page and forth page details are getting printeed in third page....and so on.....So reporting is moving up.
for example

Actually it should get printed 5records on each page.
Can any one tell me what might be the problem...!!!

How many pages / windows you have?
My guess you have a window on the top of main window and in the second page you have just the main window.
Don't change the size of the main window.
If you don't have a second page, COPY the first page into second one, remove the top window and extend the main window to occupy the entire space on the second page.

Need help solving priting problem.

Hello,
I'm writing because I found a problem with my Printer "hp psc 1315 all-in-one".
It's not connected to PC, but when I press printer's power button, it's automaticly starting to print alignment page.
After I turn it off and back to "on" It's starting to print alignment page over again.

Adobe Form - Priting problem

Hi,
There is requirement to print an adobe form in Black-white format and as per user's request we changed the company logo as well from colored to black-white. Now as per requirement that form is printing black-white only but the issue is, it is using color cartridge.
we checked all printer configuration but was no use and user want to print it as mono rather that colored. Printer is printing correctly for any other black-white document.
Please let me know for this how could I change the layout/border color (shown below) for objects used in this form like we changed the logo. Also plese let me know whether this issue can be handled in other way.

In design Priting problem

Hello everyone,
I am quite new to in design. I have a small question. When I change the background color of the page in in design ( say black ) what should I do so that when I print the page I get the page in black instead of the default white? On some forums I read, change master page? How do i do it?

[Paper] is a special color. It really means "don't put ink here."
You can edit the APPEARANCE of [Paper] on the screen to help you visualize what your job will look like on a colored stock, but [Paper] color itself is not an ink and will never print.
If you need to add a color for background to a job, you need to actually add that color as ink. You can do that by filling a frame on the master page with the appropriate color. If you are doing that strictly for proofing, do it on a separate layer that can be turned off for the press run on the colored stock.
A further word to the wise. Most presses don't have a white ink, and even if they do, printing white over black stock is not a successful strategy. Also, printing other colors on black stock will just make darker black areas. If you need a black background, use white paper and add the black ink to the background, leaving holes where you want things in white. Your other colors should knock out the black ink, too.

Crystal Report Runtime

Dear Readers,
First off, if I am writing this topic in the wrong forum, I appologize.
Secondly, I am out of ideas on how to troubleshoot my problem and have resorted to this community in hope that I could find a solution.
Situation:
We have a software that generates crytal reports. I design these reports myself and have access to all of them if needed.
Recently we have upgraded that software in question, and crystal report runtine was also upgraded ( had to uninstall crystal report runtime and install the bundled one before installing the software).
The software i'm talking about is bundled with Crystal Report 2008 Runtime SP2.   With this version, when i would send reports to be printed, they would always print sideways.   I contacted support and they said:
"This is actually a crystal runtime issue. In order to fix this you need to download a newer crystal release, the 3.1 version does have the fix:

The Runtime is found under the Utility Software type."
I went and downloaded the suggested file and it has fixed the sideway priting problem.
Here are the 2 remaining problems that support cannot give me an answer to solve this:
1- When I click the Printer button in the Crystal Report object and I select our Windows Server 2008 Fax driver, I can see printing to crystal report pages 1 of 2, 2of 2 and then the fax menu shows up (where i select a recipient, etc)   after i click send, the fax isnt being sent out.     If i send the same crystal report to a PDF writer instead and i try to fax it, no problems.
2- We have a Datamax I-4208 thermal label printer. When crystal report jobs are sent to the printer, all the data appears on the label...except the data is incredibly small, making it almost impossible to read.   If i open the .rpt file and send it to the label printer, then no issues.
what should i check out for?
Any ideas on how i can start trying to fix this?

You have two questions so I suggest you post two threads.
A quick suggestion for your 2nd question related to the label printer. Make sure you are not using the Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer Paper Size feature in the Crystal Report. This allows the engine to scale your report output and results in horrible printing for label printers. Also, we've done a bunch of updates to printing in the last fix packs so ensure you are on the latest fix pack (3.3).

Problem with Page number priting

Hi All,
    Thanks in advance for all, who are going to help me in this below issue.
    I am using the code '&SYSF-PAGE&/&SYSF-FORMPAGES&' in smartforms to print the page number on each page as 1/10..2/10...10/10.
   But it was printing 1/...2/ till 9/* and after that it was priting correctly like 10/20..11/20...
   Can any one please let me know whats wrong with that, and why it was showing * till 10th page.

Please suggest problem in increasing height repeating frames

Hi,
in my report normally up to 100 are printed. i setted the vertical elasticity as expand and horizontal as fixed.
but while priting, in vertical, it is contracting if date is too short enough and expanding when dat is large enough. But what my requirement i want to specify the height of each field in repeating frame fixed. i.e. 3 centimeters and it should be same for all records printed on page and on each logical page and i want to print maximum 8 records per page becoz my print page size can hold maximum 8 records and each record at 4 lines. And even if the data is short enough it must not be contracted, if data is one line,and the remaining space that is in 3 cemtimers should be left blank and it must to go to second record. That is in fixed heigt of record repeart frame i want to print the data. If data goes more than 3 centimetres then date must be truncated. I did not find any height to set this property in Repeating frame property.
please suggest solution'

Hi Prasanth,
Enlarge the Repeating Frame height to say, 3 centimeters in the layout.
Set the Vertical (& Horizontal as well) Elasticity of the repeating Frame as Fixed.
In the Property Palette of Repeating Frame, set Maximum Records Per Page to 8 and Set Page Break after property to Yes.
This will solve ur problems.

I see by your post that the printer is printing distorted characters. Thanks for providing the screen shot. I can help you.
It looks like a issue with the toner or possible a hardware issue with the printer or fuser.
Inspect the toner cartridge for damage:
1. Remove the toner cartridge from the product and verify that the sealing tape has been removed.
2. Check the memory chip for damage.
3. Examine the surface of the imaging drum on the bottom of the toner cartridge.
CAUTION: Do not touch the roller (imaging drum) on the bottom of the cartridge.
Fingerprints on the imaging drum can cause print-quality problems.
4. If you see any scratches, fingerprints, toner on the drum or other damage on the imaging drum, replace the toner.
5. If the imaging drum does not appear to be damaged, rock the toner cartridge gently several times and reinstall it. Print a few pages to see if the problem has resolved.
I have provided a document for cleaning inside the printer and running a cleaning page, resetting the printer and checking the driver settings. Resolving Print Quality Issues.
Try printing a document again.
Let me know the results.
What kind of paper are you using?
Try another type of paper to see if you have the same results.
Are you using Genuine HP Toner?
What is the toner level?

Problem in Printing of Sales order amount with program ZRD_RVADOR02

Hi,
We have one output type for printing the order aknowledgement for customer which is printing all details from sales orders for this we have made a program and form by copying the std. one Program : ZRD_RVADOR02 and form form : ZS1_RVORDER01_RD it is std. if we remove z we have done some little modification for header detail like company code and added ondition type etc.
for sales order basic price condition is PR20 and addiotnal price condition is PRXX in sales order the final price is addition of both but when both the price are same it is printing only single condition value and if both are different then it is priting addition of both means if PR20 and PRXX both are 5000 it is priting 5000 onlu actually it should print 10000 AND IF BOTH ARE DIFFRENT LIKE PR20 : 5000 and PRXX : 5000.01 then it is printing 10000.01 properly .
what can be the problem.

PROTECT-ENDPROTECT problem in SAP Script

In SAP Script MAIN Window I have 10 different elements to print differet stuff related with each delivery line item.
Like Material Number
Material Description
Long text [Has formatted text and I am reading that text and printed in some format some lines under material number and some under materail desc.]
and other information required by client.
Loop at Delivery item table.
CALL FUNCTION 'CONTROL_FORM'
       EXPORTING
            command = 'PROTECT'.
Print differnt elements.
Loop at lond text internal table.
print in proper format as I mentioned.
endloop.
CALL FUNCTION 'CONTROL_FORM'
       EXPORTING
            command = 'ENDPROTECT'.
ENDLOOP.
My problem is PROTECT ENDPROTECT is not working properly.
It is printing only 1 item with other info on first page as there are enough space left to print minimum three items with details.
on next page it is priting only 3-4 items as there are enough sapce to ptint at lease 10 items with details.
The only good thing is it is not spliting the Item details and other text.[Main window on next page has bigger size]
Any idea why PROTECT - ENDPOTECT not behaving properly.

Try to do like, Put PROTECT and ENDPROTECT in the SAPScript itself.

PDF Exporting Problem

Hello everyone,
I hope not all of you are as frustrated as I am with Numbers 08'. I have problems with printing the entire document and can't seem to find the answer on the Numbers 08' forum, so I hope that would be addressed soon.
For my more imminent problem with Numbers now is that, when I export my document to PDF, the headers were all cut out. But when I print to PDF, it turns out just fine. But printing to PDF does not allow me to print the entire document to PDF, so I have to do it sheet by sheet and save each sheet with a different file name. Well, I am pretty frustrated with that.
Numbers is a very nice app, but I am quite surprised that simple and essential functions like priting the entire document and exporting are requiring so much effort from the users. This is not impressive at all.
Help anyone?? Please Thank you.

Using the side bar drag all the tables to the same sheet. Check print View and move the tables around to make sure the pages look right for printing. Delete any unused columns & rows.
The printing, pdf export and page numbers (in the page footer) works on a per sheet basis.

Label Priting - Mirror Image

Has any did Mirror Image of Label Priting.
I have done few labels in 4X8 etc.,
But, would like to know for the following cases
A) first half will look normal & second half all the printing is reversed ?
B) Label got four division - Header in horizontal format - normal ;
two columns in vertical printing ( also pre-printed forms)
Can Bartender can handle this ? (or) any other s/w got used to accomplish this.
What is the Best practice ? it is advisable go through SAP solution (or) through 3rd Party solution sending date as Intefaces & 3rd party s/w prints the labels.

If its not in the driver options, there is usually an option in the picture program you are using. If not open the picture you re trying to print in Paint and choose to "flip vertically"

Problem printing in windows xp shared printer

Hello!
I have a Brother Ql-550 label printer shared in a windows xp pc and i would like to print with my mac. In the print menu i can see the printer in the windows priting section but when i try to choose the driver for the brother printer from mac os, that i have installed previously this does not appears in the brother section. I think that this driver don't allow network printing. Is there any way to make this printer work? For example, any kind of virtual printer o something in that way.

Welcome to the Discussions.
I had the same problem recently with a Brother printer. I used LPD/LPR. To access it hold down the option key as you click on Add Printer, click on the drop down menu and select Advanced. Select LPD/LPR from the list, enter the printer's name (from the Sharing properties of the PC) in Device Name and in the URI box enter IP_address/printername and then select the driver (CUPS if available) and click OK. Canon selphy cp900 wireless print problem

I recently bought a canon selphy cp900, am running a mac os moutain lion 10.8.2. Am unable to do wireless priting via access point. Is there a solution to this problem?

I just purchased the Selphy CP900 and had the same problem. The fix was so simple. Plug your mac into Selphy via USB. Go into System Preferences -- Print & Scan. Highlight the CP900 and "ADD" / "+" the Selphy.
Disconnect the USB from the Selphy.
Restart the Selphy Photo Print Software and it should now light up green that all is connected.
I thought the problem was with the network connection, but my mac just couldn't find the Selphy. (duh)
Anyone have an answer for how to print from iPhoto to Selphy? The only thing I can figure out to do is to drag/drop my pic from iPhoto to my Desktop. (I added Desktop folder to the list of Folders on the Selphy Software App.)
I am running 10.7.5
