Privacy setting in Lync

Hello!
I will probably have to extend my Lync interconnexion so that it be able to communicate with some federated partners.
Before federating, I have several question regarding the "privacy level" that we can choose on the Lync client. I would like to know:
- where these settings are stored? If I set on my Lync client the privacy level for a given Lync user to one of the 5 values "blocked", "friends & family",... this settings is stored somewhere. But where? In the Active Directory?
in Lync Server local stores?somwhere else?
- what are data streams on a given Lync client to retrieve the picture of another Lync user? Is it SIP with front-end server?
More precisely with federation:
- Is this setting "privacy level" still valid with federated partner? If my Lync users add a Lync federated user, and set the privacy setting to "friends and family", does it mean that the federated partner will have access to each field
(phone, mobile, other phone, picture,...)?
- same question for public provider such as Skype.
Any help to answer these questions is very welcome :)

I believe those settings are somewhere in the RTC database within the RTCLOCAL instance of the front ends, which gets replicated around, but don't quote me, it's been a while.
The picture won't be visible to federated contacts unless it's available on a publicly accessible website (we have our users use their LinkedIn picture). Richard's blog outlines it well:

Yes, the privacy settings apply to federated partners. For Skype, I'm not sure but I wouldn't expect it to allow them to see anything more than the privacy setting has allowed.

Lumia 920; Facebook Photo Posts with Privacy Setti...

When I do this:
go to Photos >> camera roll, choose a photo >> share... >> Facebook, the photo that I shared is always set with privacy setting of 'Only me'
I have already change the app settings >> Old version of Facebook for Mobile, under the privacy settings within Facebook to friends, but the above still happen.

Try to remove and resetup your Facebook account on your Lumia 920 and check if it will make any changes.

How do I grant permission in privacy setting?

Ever since updating to iOS7, any apps that require permission in my privacy setting are not actually showing up under the privacy setting. For example, if I want to use Instagram, it won't access my photo albums. It says to grant permission under settings>privacy>photos. When I do that, there are no apps listed requesting permission to access my photos. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I had a similar issue and to solve it I simply erased the app and redownloaded it and when it initally asks for permission in a pop up be sure to say yes.
I am sure there is a more technical solution for this issue but I have not been able to find one. Let me know how this works for you

This has to do with mismathced encryption setting on the client and access point. Make sure encryption setting match. Refer URL

What privacy setting(s) is keeping Firefox Sync from working? When I use any privacy settings, Set Up Sync, I close Firefox, and I reopen the application, then I have to Set Up Sync AGAIN. I have to keep setting up Sync until I choose Remember History in the privacy settings. This used to work in all previous Firefox versions.

How can i access privacy setting from ipad3 to access local photos?

when i try to access my localphotos, it says that i can enable the access on privacy setting, how do i get there?

The only options I have on settings are:
My account, preferences, facebook, help, and about.
When i go to preference, all i have is product improvement, presentation mode and access local photos.
I enabled "always use native photo brower" however, there is no privacy setting there.
When the app was first installed, I clicked "dont allow" by mistake when prompted to use local photos, can i get that restored or what would i need to do...

You are correct.
The privacy settings will be those of the "trial experience" and that has nothing to do with the APIP.

How can I set up Lync 2013 for my personal use. I don't have any personal domain (using outlook, hotmail etc) or any server. Is there a way, I can still set up Lync on my PC? Please advise.

You can't use a personal email account (MSN/Gmail/etc..)
to sign into the Lync client. You can purchase an account from Lync Online: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/lync/lync-online-overview-and-features-online-meetings-and-instant-messaging-FX103789571.aspx

Privacy setting

I want to know why I am getting so many requests to connect with people over the lasy few days (holidays). ALL my privacy setting are set to allow ONLY people in my contact lists to contact me and these people are NOT in my contacts lists .. SO WHAT IS GOING ON???????????????????

FYI, in case you agreed to allow YouTube to access your microphone, you can always change your mind and forbid it later.
The way to do that is at Settings > Privacy > Microphone

Changing privacy setting

I am not receiving skype calls incoming. No ring. Found my privacy setting was somehow changed to Do not Desturb. I tried to change it, by clicking off do not desturb, but it would not budge. Tried moving it up to Online, still no change. What do I do??

Droid X Privacy Setting

My boss has the Droid X and every time he enters a calendar event, which is synced with our Microsoft Outlook, it automatically defaults to a privacy setting, making me unable to have access to his schedule. Does anyone know how to to take this default off, so that everything shows as it's entered?

I have provided some information below that may help.
This settings are active on the Android when a delegate is assigned. I have provided the steps below on changing the default privacy setting.
-Select the Applications tab
-Select Calendar
-Select New event
-Select Menu
-Select Show extra options
-Change privacy to public

Hello Skype users,
I’m having some issue with my Privacy/Call setting with my Skype number.Everything was working fine last month but I start noticing a decrease in calls. I’m able to call using my Skype number but cannot receive any calls. I tried calling my Skype number using my cell phone but receive a busy tone.
I went ahead and checked my setting and notice my call setting was allowed to receive calls from "phone number in my contact list only". I wanted to change the setting but unable because it seems like the option is disable (nothing on the page is highlighted).
I did more search and figure that it was something to do with my privacy setting. I reselected allow calls to “anyone” and hit save but once I close the Skype window, the allow calls from was switched over to "phone number in my contact list only" Every time I tried saving to allow calls from “anyone”, it automatically switched back to "phone number in my contact list only".
Any help will be appreciated.
