Hello Dear Skype.
Writing to You with big complain about new version of Skype, as its come new version I got lots of problem with "Privacy, Trust and Safety".
1. Programm POP-ups as PRIORITY programm over any programm, even I'm watching movies and trasmitt it to my big TV, its happen randomly as "its" needed, lives like its own life.
2. You broked with that my trust to Skype.
Ill give Skype team 3 month time to sort out til lend product of skype as old skype.
Another way ill delete my account with sacrificing my contacts.
Beleve me, my life will continue normaly without skype, but Your company will not without us.

This is happening to all of the users. And this kind of behaviour is happening frequently to most of the users but as for me and some of us this is not happening frequently.
And we are using Crystal Reports 2008 ie. CR12.

Portal, BW and Datasources for users

Hello,
Our current system toplogy looks like this:
We have a Portal and BW (NW04s) which share one Java Application Server.
Since the main work is creating BW reports and presenting them at the portal, the users are being created at the BW System, the roles are being built over there and everything is exported to the portal. The Application Server is not an ABAP one but since the users created in BW and transported to the portal they are considering as an ABAP Datasource. This means that the main feed of the portal are users created on the BW.
What we would like to do is change the main feed of the portal to our Active Directory server which will handle user creation/deletion/modification. This means that the portal and the BW will no longer share the same Datasource and my questions are:
1. Is our current work procedure correct?
2. How can we reflect this change to the BW as well, so it will "know" the new toplogy? Do we need to maintain now two sets of users, one for the portal and one for the BW system?
3. What will happen with all the users already created on the BW and transported to the portal and their authorizations?
4. At this new toplogy, who will be in charge of creating the roles and managing the authorizations, the BW side or the portal side?

according to SAP it is possible. Unfortunately, I have not done it yet. But at SAP TechEd 2006 in Amsterdam Gerlinde Zibulski and Frank Buchholz gave an interesting presentation of "Identity Management in Heterogeneous System Landscapes: the SAP Solution". There they talked about the synchronization at great length. Furthermore you find quite some information in the SAP Library. Even how to enable Windows authentication if the user's ids in ADS and ABAP user management do not match. @Michael: Sounds like you have got some experience regarding the synchronization process. Could you please elaborate why you do not recommand it!

Active Directory Authentication and permissions for user group in APEX 4.0

Hello,
I am new to oracle APEX and I have searched the forum for active directory authentication for a user group and I am really confused about all the different threads. Can anyone please provide me the steps to follow; in order to implement AD authentication for a user group in Oracle APEX 4.0.
These are the threads which i was looking at to get an idea like how AD authentication works but its really confusing for me.

IMQ 2.0 and LDAP for user authentication

i set up an LDAP with iMQ. The LDAP works OK for storing topics,
connection factories, etc from jmqadmin
The LDAP also now contains the 2 users as outlined in article 7772 -
admin and guest.
The broker stats up OK, but
when I try to use

It's likely caused by trailing space after 'basic' in configuration
imq.authantication.type=basic
This has been fixed in MQ 3.0.

How to do custom dialog so it displays the dialog and waits for user to end

I have an application that I want to create my own dialog screens. For example, the user cliks on one frame, and I want to open a window for the user to enter data, after the user finishes, he presses OK and then the main app continues.
On the class that I open the dialog, I open it with:

Why are you using a static method to show the dialog? Normally the code would be:
JDialog dialog = new CustomDialog();
dialog.setVisible( true );
But you are correct with the basic idea in that you need to use a modal dialog.

Jmap: portability and safety for snapshotted process?

I'm working on tracking down a memory leak in a java application that's at the heart of my employer's business. Right now, we're restarting it periodically, and watching it closely with nagios.
I'd like to do a jmap dump and jhat analysis of the heap while it has a lot of memory in use - but before I do, we need to answer the question: "Is there any risk to the process inspected?" Has anyone ever seen or heard of a java process getting messed up (say, writing corrupted data?) as a result of a jmap?
Another, slightly less important question is: Can I jmap on a windows machine and analyze the resulting file on a Linux machine?

Did you have a windows form or a web based application? Did you use LoadRunner to invoke multiple concurrent synchronization calls to move data from the lite database to the back-end database? Also, was LoadRunner executing against one instance of your application or multiple instances? Were application instances running on one machine or multiple machines? We are just trying to get a better understanding of your application/load test setup and see if it was structurally similar to ours.
We basically have a windows form based application designed for a single user. This application allows user to synchronize data from Olite to back-end Oracle database after user has completed their data entry.
We wanted to test the performance of our synchronization process. That is how many user can concurrently synchronize their data at the same time.
Given that our application is a single user application, we decided to invoke multiple instances of application on a single machine and then simultaneously try to synchronize (via a tool) each instance of the application. Hence the error.

Web beacons, also called a Web bug or a pixel tag or a clear GIF.
Used in combination with cookies, a Web beacon is an often-transparent graphic image, usually no larger than 1 pixel x 1 pixel, that is placed in an e-mail that is used to monitor the behavior of the user visiting receiving the e-mail.
When the HTML code for the Web beacon points to a site to retrieve the image, it can pass along information such as the IP address of the computer that retrieved the image, the time the Web beacon was viewed and for how long, the type of browser that retrieved the image and previously set cookie values.
How can one disable the displaying of HTML images on the iPhones' default mail client? It is a big issue for me, and most respectable mail pages/cleints allow the option within the message body to allow the images to be requested/displayed from a server.

Not possible with the iPhone's email client which is not a full featured client in a number of respects.
It does include a message preview feature - none, 1,2,3,4 or 5 lines which does not render anything until the message is opened. Such a message will not likely be sent by a friend, family member, business associate or anyone you recognize.
As with opening message attachments received from someone you don't recognize, the best antivirus lies between your ears. I don't open/view any messages with my iPhone received from someone I don't recognize or with a preview that appears suspect.

GRANT to PUBLIC and REVOKE for USER

Is it possible to revoke grant for a particular user for which PUBLIC have access? I understand, the PUBLIC grant supersedes all ROLE level security, but I am just intrigued to know is there a way to revoke the grants from a particular user ( and still leave it for PUBLIC to access them?)
I might sound funny - I am sorry, if I have asked a silly question.

HD Sharing and Permissions for User Wheel

In Macintosh HD, there was a user called "Wheel" - Read Only. Scared that my system was somehow compromised, I deleted it. Now I realize "Wheel" is some sort of system group. My questions are:
1) is this bad to have deleted it here?
2) will it reappear or if not, how can i get it back b/c i assume it serves some function
I found other posts that describe somewhat similar issues, but none talking about "wheel" being deleted off the HD. So my hope is that someone can help me answer this particular issue.

ps The one thing i tried to do is repair disk permissions which didn't restore wheel to HD.

yes. please don't change them. running repair permissions in disk utility will take care of wrong permissions on any other system folders.

Newbie Question - application install/setup for admin and non-admin users

Hi,
I'm 100% new to the Mac environment and OS X and I'm a bit confused as to the environment and setting up applications and such for users.
I have a brand new Macbook Pro that I need to set-up.
USER Setup
- have a dedicated admin account called "Administrator"
- have a user account for my son, Joe.
- have a user account for me, Matt, so I can fool around on the machine to see if I like it enough to get one myself.
This is the account setup model I'm most accustomed to using under OpenVMS and Windows - an administrator account and separate lower privilege accounts for users.
I have managed to accomplish these three tasks ok. I also enabled File Vault on my account only.
APPLICATION Setup
We want to install the following applications but I'm having problems:
- Firefox, for use by all three accounts, but with separate bookmark files for each user. This is the browser we are familiar with and want to start with (sorry Safari, maybe as time goes by).
- Eudora for e-mail for just the two user (mine and Joe's) accounts, with separate user files for each account. It's the program we're familiar with.
- Microsoft Office for all three accounts.
- An architectural CAD program (ArchiCAD) for use only in my account.
- PGP for use only in my account.
My real issues appear to be with how to install apps the way I need them to be 'visible' to users.
I started by logging in as Administrator and downloading/installing Firefox.
It installed ok under the administrator account but I can't find/access Firefox when logged in via my or my son's account and I don't know what to do to give my/Joe's account access to it.
So,
1) How do I install an application once and make it available to all accounts (admin & user)?
2) How do I install an application and make it useable only by a subset of users

How do I get the last login date and times for users who just use the GUI (and don't launch terminals)?
So far such logins don't seem to show up when I do "last -f /var/adm/utmpx" or for wtmpx.
What should I be using on solaris to get the last login dates and times for all users, whether they log in on the text console, graphical console, or remotely via ssh etc?

Duplicate SPN for user accounts

Hi Support,
I get an error on the system log like the below - but is bringing up a user account rather tham for a computer account; for duplicate SPN:
The KDC encountered duplicate names while processing a Kerberos authentication request. The duplicate name is username. (of type -17). This may result in authentication failures or downgrades to NTLM. In order to prevent this from occuring remove the duplicate
entries for username in Active Directory.
Steps in the article KB321044 is for computer accounts and not for user accounts; is there any relevant steps for user accounts having duplicate SPNS ?
