Private browsing in ipad

What is the use of having private browsing enabled in iPad

Info from Demo:
When you use Private Browsing in Safari on the iPad, your browsing history, cookies and the cache for that browsing session are not retained in the browser leaving no traces of where you have been while surfing the Internet.

anyone else have this issue and if so can you help me out
    thanks

Assuming that you know how to do both things and the iPad is not cooperating for some reason, close Safari completely and reset your iPad.
In order to close apps in iOS 7, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you don't know how to select Private Browsing, simply begin typing in the Safari URL field and you will see the word Private above the keyboard in the lower left part of the screen. Tap that to turn on Private Browsing.

  • When I try to open my Yahoo mail in safari, I get a message which states:" In order to use Yahoo mail, please turn Private Browsing off. Please go to Settings Safari Private Browsing, and turn off" The problem is my ipad does not a Private Browsing switch

When I try to open my Yahoo mail in safari, I get a message which states:" In order to use Yahoo mail, please turn Private Browsing off. Please go to Settings>Safari>Private Browsing, and turn off" The problem is, my ipad does not a Private Browsing switchat this location.

With iOS 7 on the iPad, you turn Private  Browsing on and off by tapping the URL field.  The screen that  opens up has your bookmarks on it.  In the bottom left corner is a hot button marked 'PRIVATE'.  Tap on the word 'PRIVATE' to turn private browsing on or off.  Yeah, there aren't any instructions anywhere that I can find to do this, and if you follow Yahoo's instructions, they don't work.  This doesn't happen with the previous Apple OS, and you can restore your iPad to the older OS.

  • Ipad Air Safari turn off private browsing

I accidently turned on private browsing on my iPad Air and can not turn it off. I have read the owner's manual, googled for help and responses have not helped turn it off. Some say turn it off in settings under security with the "Do Not Track" switch. Other things I've read says to tap on the bookmark icon in Safari. I'm at a loss and need help.
    thanks

Tap "Private" on Safari Screen to enable/disable Private Browsing. When top of screen is white, Private Browsing is off.

  • How do I turn off private browsing in iOS7.1 on my iPad Air

I looked through the manual and in Support on line. It tells me to go to Settings>Safari> Privacy. I did that and could not find a 'Privacy' button or tab.

That sounds like old information to me. Private Browsing in Safari in iOS 7 is a link you tap in Safari. For information with a screen shot, see:
    http://ipad.about.com/od/ipad_basics/ss/How-To-Enable-Cookies-Turn-On-Private-Br owsing-And-Other-iPad-Safari-Settings.htm
If Private Browsing is on, the address bar will be dark grey and the Private link till be white text on a blue background. Just tap that again.
    Regards.

  • HT5858 my private browsing on my iPad is turned on and there is no private browsing button in the settins/safari/ area.  help??

A 3 y/o turned on my private browser and I cannot turn it off.  iPad says go to settings/safari/private browser button, there is no browser button there on either my iPad or my phone.  Anyone know where I can locate it?

If you are running iOS 7, tap on the blue + sign in the upper right part of the Safari toolbar to open a new tab. Look in the lower left part of the screen for the word "Private". Tap on that to disable private browsing.

  • Private browsing isn't showing up after downloading new ios 8.0 on my iPad 2

After downloading the new IOS 8.0 and then the update IOS 8.0.02, I am unable to clear my browser history because the CLEAR button simply doesn't function. Also, I learned that with IOS 8.0 I am supposed to be able to enable private browsing by clicking on the double square located in the top right hand corner of a safari page and then locating the Private Browsing option at the bottom of that particular window. However, there is no Private Browsing option down there. From pictures on the internet, I can see where it is supposed to be but it is simply not there. Lastly, if I go to my Safari Settings there is an option that says Clear History and Website Data. But guess what? That text is also a light grey color just like the Clear function under the History tab that I mentioned earlier. Neither can be clicked on! What is going on?

Tap the two boxes. Private should be on the top of the next page.
Go to settings> general> restrictions and remove all restrictions, that should fix all your problems.
