PrivateCredentialPermission exception when deploying rar

Hi
This is my first post so I hope i've come to the right place ;-)
We're currently trying to deploy some resource adapters(Connector Modules) that
were originally designed for WebSphere. We're encountering a parsing error though
that we can't seem to remedy.
Within our ra.xml file we have the line:
grant { permission javax.security.auth.PrivateCredentialPermission "* * \"*\"","read";
However, at deployment time we get an invalidParameterException [Security:090205]
which basically says: Expected ";quot; but found "*"
It seems to be rejecting the third * wildcard (i.e. the one within the quotes)
yet to me the line seems fine. Is there some quirk or change we need to make to
make the file parse? We've experimented a bit but without any success
Many thanks
Chris

I removed that permission, and got by that error, but ran into other problems. Any chance you are trying to deploy the IMS Connect resource adapter? If so, did you get it to work?

  • Class cast exception when deploying in Solaris

I have an application which has LdapRealmV2 configured and I'm programmatically checking

fine. I now tried to deploy the same in a Solaris clustered environment. I get a

    Karl,
Did you build the service using the <jwsc> ant task? If so, the default is to build a JAX-RPC service. Please specify the attribute type="JAXWS" in order to build a JAX-WS service.
You can verify the type of a web service using the WebLogic console. The type is displayed on the general page for a service and will either be "JAXRPC" or "JAXWS".

I see that I have a ClassCastException but I don't know anything about this class.
I did not find any other thread related to this.
    Could someone please help me?
    Thank you.

Hi I am afraid I do have similar problem in production now. We just upgrade app server from 10.1.3.0 to 10.1.3.1 plus ADF Runtime libraries 10.1.3.2 plus one-off patch (bug 4398431) for JDBC Driver (fixing deadlock in java threads related to JDBC pooling)
Any hint what might be a issue. I suspect it might be related to jbo.timetolive because first occurence of this message is about 1 hour after restart of application server and we are using default BC configuration jbo.timetolive= 1hour
After that we see folowing error messga in application.log
JBO-30003: The application pool (aacp.wpailin.bc.PailinAppModuleLocal) failed to checkout an application module due to the following exception:

    Hi Sam,
I really got mixed up with 7.0 and 7.1.
    Windows>Preferences>SAP As Java
Enter Instance Host and Instance Number (try keeping as zero) and then click on Register SAP Instance. (Make sure you have host file entry to server ip address).
Careful: Enter Host name in the host instance rather than IP address.
You will get the System in the drop down list and as entry to table above. Select the added system as default.
Also goto Windows>Show>Server>Servers and check the status of the server there. If it is running then the connectivity is all fine. Now try deploying. If it doesn't work just restart the studio.
This DispatcherException always occur when the URL entered i mean the host is not correct or connectivity to the host is missing.
And, are you able to connect to Portal URL otherwise?--- I mean
    http://<HostName>:<Port Number>/irj/portal

    Hi
Issue 1: Regarding the deployment issue, do you see the line in your JWS?
    Following soapbinding annotation:
    @SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,parameterStyle=SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.BARE)
    Change it to
    following soapbinding annotation:
    @SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,parameterStyle=SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.WRAPPED)
it should deploy fine. This is a known issue and BARE style is unsupported as described at http://edocs.bea.com/workshop/docs92/relnotes/relnotes.html (look for CR283457)
    Here is what it says:
CR283457 - XBeans are not supported as parameters or return type for doc/lit/bare operations.
Use of Xbeans as a parameter or return type with doc/lit/bare bindings is not supported in operations or callbacks and will result in a failure during deployment.
    Platform: All
Workaround: Use doc/lit/wrapped for services that use XBeans as parameters or return types.
Issue 2: Failure on the client side
Are you using clientgen and a java client for the webservice?
I found a bug on the same issue CR340707 but it appears we don't support Xmlbeans with clientgen and was closed as NotSupported feature.

  • Strange exception when deploying BC4J as EJB in 8i CORBA.BAD_PARAM: null Strings are

I am trying to deploy BC4J as Ejb to 8i (8.1.6). I use the following deployment method with j: my Jdev root.
    setjboenv j: ejb8i
    loadjava - u user/passwd@host:port:sid - thin -v - r grant "SYS,PUBLIC" j:lib\xmlparserv2.jar
    loadjava - u user/passwd@host:port:sid - thin -v - r grant "SYS,PUBLIC" j:lib\jbomt.zip
    loadjava - u user/passwd@host:port:sid - thin -v - r grant "SYS,PUBLIC" j:lib\jboejb.jarI then create a deployment profile for ejb 8i with the ide. (Without deploying)
I then use loadjava outside the IDE to deploy the 2 jar files created
    MyProject1CommonEJB.jar
    and
    Myproject1.jar
I then use the ide again to deploy the bean profile
    Package1ModuleServerEJB.prf
The last step fails with the error :

Strangely, when I test this EJB with the tester (middle tier = remote ejb) it works, but from JSP's I get an application error : "Unknown Exception"
    I am using Jdev 3.1
Also using the deploy option when creating the deployment profile fails apparantly due to the missing grant "SYS,PUBLIC" when loading classes to the database before deploying the bean.
    What can be done ?

    Hi Blaise
Thanks for the reply. I have tried to do the complete deployment from within Jdev, but now I get the following error right at the end of the deployment.

I have tried to deploy to a clean schema with the java privilages granted as described in the Jdev release notes.
I included the following libraries in my project :
    JBO JDBC816 PATCH
    JBO OSQL Domains
    JDeveloper Runtime
    Oracle 8.1.6 JDBC
    Connection Manager
    JBO Runtime

    JBO 8i Client
    JBO Vanilla Domains
    JBO EJB Runtime
    JServer
    Oracle XML SQL Utility
    ORACLE XML Parser 2.0
Then I just used the deployment wizzard

Looking at the LDAP access log the error code is B1 which means that the client closed the connection without sending an unbind request or it could also mean that the client sent a malformed request to the server. The project being deployed is quite big and fails when storing the catalog, could the size have something to do with it (this worked in v5.1) is this a bug in 5.7?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone experienced this and can offer a fix? We are publishing/deploying our processes using the fuego:publish task in Fuego 5.7 (we are migrating our system from 5.1) and one of the publish tasks for a large project always fails with the following exception:
Caused by: fuego.directory.CommunicationException: Cannot connect to the Directory Service at: [iplanet://zion:28899/o=nexagent.com].
Detail:The Directory Service could not be reached. Either the Directory Service is down, the host where it resides is unavailable, a network problem exists, or there is no Directory Service at the specified location.

  • I/O exception when deploying from .ear

We are currently using Websphere Application Server 6.00.1
and want to use Flex alongside struts. We also want to deploy the
.war file the flex application resides in from an .ear file. When
the .war file is deployed separately, the application runs without
problems (at least for testing purposes) but when we put it inside
an .ear file and change the web.xml accordingly:
    <context-param>
    <param-name>flex.class.path</param-name>
    <param-value>/WEB-INF/jars/lib</param-value>
    </context-param>
    an error occurs.
does anyone know how to set the flex.class.path correctly
when using an .ear? I saw another thread regarding WebLogic that
mentioned Exploded Archive Directory but I don't know what that
means exactly or how I would set it up for WAS.

    Hi,
Could you please post the complete exception and the complete stack trace?
    Thanks,

  • Servlet exception when deploying a WAR to WebLogic 10.3.5

    Hello,
I've got a web application in a war file that I am attempting to deploy to a test environment which runs WebLogic 10.3.5. I've got a couple of developer environments that run WebLogic 12.1.1 and 10.3.4. The application can be deployed and started on 10.3.4 and 12.1.1 without any problems. It will deploy to the server running 10.3.5, but when I attempt to start the application (Start > Servicing All Requests) then I'm getting an error.
javax.servlet.ServletException: [HTTP:101249][ServletContext@21871606[app:HelloWeb module:HelloWeb.war path:/HelloWeb spec-version:2.5]]: Servlet class for servlet helloweb could not be loaded because the requested class was not found in the classpath . java.lang.ClassNotFoundException
The error log doesn't offer me any additional information about the cause of the error, just this error message and a stack trace of weblogic APIs that I'm not familiar with. Upgrading from 10.3.5 to a newer version of WebLogic isn't an option -- I don't own the test environment and I'm not allowed to make changes to the application server version. I've spent a the last two days trolling for help on this error message and I'm out of ideas. Any help would be welcome.

Sure. Right now I was trying this on just the AdminServer, but it will give the exact same problem when it's run on a managed server as well.

If you have a manifest file packaged in your application, check to make sure that
all entries in the manifest class path entry actually exist.
You should also check the manifest classpath of any JAR files in web-inf/lib to
make sure they don't contain entries that don't exist.

  • Exception when deploying java web-service to PI 7.1 via JSPM

    Dear Friends,
While uploading a self created web-service to PI 7.1 via java support package manager, we get an exception during the deployment process - which says: "WebServices Common deployment exception. The reason is: Unable to generate complex types". The JSPM main log for the deployment is attached to this message.
The complex type that is used is a Java Class with one data member of type String.
    Thanks in advance,
    Udi Dekel.

    Hi Udi,
There could be a thousand reasons to this problem. Please go through the checklist , one of them is bound to work.
    1) Verify whether the process table on SAP J2EE server and it says that SDM is running.
    2) You have to enter the SDM host as the name of your J2EE server with the port. Go to:
Window -> Preferences -> SAP J2EE engine -> Here Enter the values of Message Server Host and Message Server Port.
    3) For some reason the SDM wasn't started by the MMC. Since I was not able to start the SDM via MMC, I started it manually via DOS prompt "StartServer". After that the deployment of the application worked fine.
    4) Try updating the hosts file:
    C:\<WINDOWS-version>\system32\drivers\etc
    Append the following line:
<localhost IP> name of the localhost.
    e.g.10.590.789.10 remotehost
Reboot your PC, be sure all threads of the J2EE Engine are running and try to deploy again.
    5) You should use port 39xx instead of 36xx (where xx - SCS instance number).
6)Please check message server settings on
    visual admin tool:server->kernel->cluster manager
and check ms.host and ms.port values from the table. If you do your J2ee settings according to these values it will probably work fine.
The reason why you are getting SDM error is ,at the previous versions there was settings for SDM in preferences and you had to set the port number for SDM ( which was 50018 + 100 * <instance number> ). There is no specific settings for SDM in preferences anymore.

Whenever I deploy an application using the admin console window, I get a DistributedExcpetion,
The application gets deployed though! so I am assuming that this is not very critical,

    Hi.
    Thanks for the additional info.
I found 2 similar issues with similar stack traces for WLS 6.1 sp2. One of the issues we could not reproduce, and in the
end the customer reinstalled WLS and the problem went away. The other issue was found internally and is not currently
active. I'm not 100% sure your situation is identical to one of these.
Therefor I suggest the following course of action:
    1. Since this is an intermittant problem try reinstalling WLS. If that doesn't help then...
    2. open a case with support. It may not be a major issue, but we need to be sure of this.
    Hope this helps,
    Michael

    Hi.
This may be a known issue, but I need more info. What version (including
service pack level) of WLS are you running?
Also, if you are not running sp2 please apply it and test to see if you
    are still seeing this.
Let me know what you find.
    Thanks,

    Thx-
    Iqbal
