PRKC-1044 while installing Clusterware

Hi
i am installing Oracle Clusterware(10.2.0.1.0) on Solaris 10
and i am getting the above mentioned error PRKC-1044 - During Clusterware Install .
for that i have checked the SSH configuration and from both Parivate and public IP in can able to login without prompting for password .And i have created a Link file also for /usr/bin/ssh /usr/local/bin/ssh
when i run CVU it says that no user equliance ...
do we need any patch for cluster or i have install any OS cluster software for this issue...

As per the above looks like the OS user on all nodes don't have same id's ?
Can you check if the id is same on all nodes.
2. Before you start installation check if ssh is working fine or not.
$ssh <nodename> date

Which edition of Windows XP are you running? Home edition is not supported for Oracle products.

ROOT.SH failed while installing clusterware, Need Help

Hi,
I am creating 2 Node RAC, while installing the clusterware I had to run the two scripts at the end....RootInst....done yet I am stuck with root.sh , However I tried it on Node2, It worked perfect...configured clusterware and alll services are up on Node2..
Here is what I got on Node1.
USM driver install actions failed
/u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/perl/bin/perl -I/u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/perl/lib -I/u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/crs/install /u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/crs/install/rootcrs.pl execution failed
Can some one please help, If it can work on Node2 Why not on Node1..
Your help will be really appreciating.
My OS is AIX 7.1
And Clusterware Im trying to install is 11R2.

1- Have you ran the orainstRoot.sh on the two nodes before start running the root.sh?
2- Have you started running the root.sh on the "local node" FIRST (i mean, the node from where you´re installing the GI)?

PRKC-1073 while installing the crs on solaris 10

when I install the crs 10201 on solaris 10, at the last step the setup failed and in the log I see:WARNING: Error while copying directory /u01/crs/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/crs with exclude file list 'null' to nodes 'RAC2'. [PRKC-1073 : Failed to transfer directory "/u01/crs/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/crs" to any of the given nodes "RAC2 ".
Error on node RAC2:RAC2: unknown host :failed]
and
PRKC-1031 : Error checking free space for / on RAC2
I am sure I have configured the network properly and the authority is right,I search in the metalink but got nothing,could anyone give some advice? thanks in advance

So let me get this right , you have a Sun box with a hostname RAC2 ? is that correct EXACTLY
from the first node can you do
sftp /etc/hosts RAC2:/tmp/foofoo
with NO passwords etc ?
RAC2 seems a poor hostname for a unix box.

While installing Clusterware cannot see raw shared partitions

I have made 4 extended logical drives from EMC shared storage to be visible from my two nodes on 64bit windows 2003 server. During Clusterware installation while selecting the disks for OCR and Voting file, I cannot see the raw shared volumes.
The following is the output of cluvfy utility for component shared storage accessibility,
# runcluvfy.exe comp ssa -n node1,node2
Verifying shared storage accessibility
Checking shared storage accessibility...
Shared storage check failed on nodes "node2,node1".
Verification of shared storage accessibility was unsuccessful on all the nodes.
I also get exectask.exe encounter a problem and needed to close meassage aswell.

The issue is resolved. I formatted the shared disks with NTFS file system. Then deleted the partition and recreated extended logical volumes and now the shared storage is accessible from the clusterware instalation for the selection of ocr and voting files.
#cluvfy comp ssa -n node1,node2
The above command on 64bit win2003 servers gives error. This is due to bug 6007675. Base Bug number is 4714708. So the solution is to continue with the installation and ignore the error message.

Oracle Clusterware error while installing

Hi all,
I am installing Oracle Clusterware (10.2.0.1) on solaris SPARC 5.10...and while installing Clusterware i am getting the following error
Exception PRKC-1044 : Failed to check remote command execution setup for node1 using shells /usr/bin/ssh and /usr/bin/rsh
node1 Connection refused
Then i executed the from node1
runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n node2
Verifying node connectivity
ERROR:
User equivalence unavailable on all the nodes.
Verification cannot proceed
users id's on both the nodes are same.
I have configured SSH on both the nodes and its working fine for Public IP and Private IP.i can able to SSH wothout asking for apssword.
I have created Links for ssh and scp files.
ln -s -f /usr/bin/ssh /usr/local/bin/ssh
ln -s -f /usr/bin/scp /usr/local/bin/scp
then also i am getting the same error...here i have posted my etc/hosts

i have removed the login banner from both the hosts and now its working fine...
and now i am facing the problem with the IP address its not taking the correct IP address.....

Error when install clusterware

Dear gurus,
i try to install RAC server using nfs server. i'm using 3 servers, 2 nodes and 1 nfs. OS using RHEL 4.5. and Oracle Server 10.2.0.1 patch set 10.2.0.3.
i gave the two nodes names deployment and deployment2. for nfs i gave it name nfs.
i created two directories on nfs /share1 and /share2 on nfs. then i mounted both directories into those 2 nodes as /racsoft for /share1 and /racdata for /share2.
i installed the clusterware first, but i got error when Configuration Assistants, these are error messages from installActions.log :

I have the same error while installing clusterware for 11g RAC. The result of cluster verification utilty (runcluvfy) is ok except one warning..
WARNING
"Could not find a suitable set of interfaces for VIPs"
But if I am continuing with the clusterware installation,
"Oracle notification server configuration assistant failed message" is comming..
Please provide solution if you have solved the same issue...

PRKC-1044 - During Clusterware Install

Hi,
I am installing Oracle Clusterware 10.2.0.1, on a two nodes cluster.
I am using RedHat 4, Kernel 2.6.9-34EL, ASMLib 2, no OCFS installed.
ssh is working, no password is required to ssh between the nodes. I am also running the ssh-agent and add commands on the OUI session,
In the cluster configuration screen on the OUI, I get the following errors:
PRKC-1044 - FAILED TO CHECK REMOTE COMMAND EXECUTION...
Seems like something related to ssh or rsh. rsh is not configured on the cluster.
Any thoughts what can cause this error?

PRKC-1044 error which installing 2 node RAC

OS:OEL5
Database Version:10201_database_linux32
cluster ware:10201_clusterware_linux32
I am getting the following error when i try to install oracle clusterware using OUI.
PRKC-1044:failed to check remote command execution setup for node using shells /usr/bin/ssh and /usr/bin/rsh
I loaded SSH keys into the memory using the below commands
$ exec /usr/bin/ssh-agent $SHELL
$ /usr/bin/ssh-add
If i run
$ssh rac1 date and $ssh rac2 date ia m getting desired result with out supplying the password.
Even i run the runcluvfy.sh utility and the report displays nothing is failed on both the nodes which is a green signal to proceed for clusterware installation.
can any one help me to resolve this error?
Note:I am installing it on VMware server2.0

Have you looked in this log file to see why the OCR is inaccessible? Have you looked in the ASM instance's alert log for other clues?

I have to install clusterware on oracle enterprise linux 4.
have installed the following rpms

but when i install
rpm -Uvh xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-6.8.2-1.EL.13.6.i386.rpm \
it says lixX11.so.6 and libXext.so.6 is needed. I cant find these rpms in installation disk...
I think if i install rpm -Uvh xorg-x11-deprecated-libs-6.8.2-1.EL.13.6.i386.rpm setup will run to install clusterware...

Error while installing 11gR1 RDBMS software on 11gR2 GI

I am getting the following error while installing 11gR1 (11.1.0.6) RDBMS software on 11gR2 GI.
0. Oracle Enterprise linux 5.4 x_86_64 bit
1. cluvfy verfication is successful
2. 11gR2 GI looks fine - logged in to asm in all nodes, check the asm disksgroups
3. ssh connectivity is fine - able to do ssh from all 6 nodes to all nodes

On the Install page, after setup successful stage, (it finised 57%), the pop-up messages says
"Error in execution of additional utility tool" and giving me the options to retry, skip or continue.
* I dont want to continue until i fixed this issue *

Hi Levi Pereira, Thanks for the link.
During install I got the below error
""Error in execution of additional utility tool" and I initially thought it might be because of network or due to user equivalence not set correct. So cancelled installation , rechecked it and verified and both were fine. user equivalence works fine. but still i'm getting the same error . However the below oracle documentation links shows that its a bug (reference Bug 6271506, though I couldnt get any relevant info on this bug number)

As per the above doc I just clicked on 'Continue' and installation was successful with no errors. I hope itdoesnt cause any issues later.
Your blog is quite nice . I have few questions on ASM , device mapper and multipathing , porbably I shall post few questions on ASM in your blog.

Hi all,
I am able to install Oracle 10g RAC clusterware on first node of the cluster. However, when I run the root.sh script as root
user on second node of the cluster, it fails with following error message:
NO KEYS WERE WRITTEN. Supply -force parameter to override.
-force is destructive and will destroy any previous cluster
configuration.
Oracle Cluster Registry for cluster has already been initialized
Startup will be queued to init within 90 seconds.
Adding daemons to inittab
Expecting the CRS daemons to be up within 600 seconds.
Failure at final check of Oracle CRS stack.

Hello, it took a little searching, but I found this in a note in the GRID installation guide for Linux/UNIX:
Public IP addresses and virtual IP addresses must be in the same subnet.
In your case, you are using two different subnets for the VIPs.
