Pro App Support
I just bought Logic Studio. I installed and it says I need the latest pro application support. No big deal, I just downloaded it off the Apple website. When I get to the screen that asks where you want to install it, I cannot see where I am supposed to install it. I click my hard drive (the only thing there) and it says "You cannot install Pro App Support on this volume, the software can only be installed on the start up disk". What does this mean?! There is no place to install it.
Can someone please help me?
I don't have Logic Studio but I have FCP Studio and I ran the Pro Application update through Apple's software update and it installed fine. Maybe you have to navigate to the Logic Studio Application folder for it to install? When it asks you to choose the location, double click on Macintosh HD, double click Applications, then click once on the Logic Studio folder.

Pro App Support 4.0.1 won't install
I've downloaded pro app support but when i try to install it I get a message like: "you cannot install pro app support on this volume. This volume is not eligible." I get the message whether i choose my system drive or any others. None of the drives are anywhere near full.

i've got exactly the same problem with ProApp Support 4.0.2.
I tried many things like moving the proapp installer in my 'applications' folder, etc... it just doesn't work, i have no volume eligible for installing it...

the 2006-01 Pro app support update says it's recommended for users of FCE HD 3.5, as well as the other FC apps. But login page for download (# sd10924) requires a FC PRO registration only. Will not take an FCE serial number. So should I download this or not? and how do I get it let me?

Pro App support 3.1 -- What's It Do?
OK, Pro App support 3.1. Can anyone elaborate on the benefits of installing this? What exactly does this bit of software do/improve/fix?
And, do I even need it? (Running Logic 7.1.1(885) under Tiger 10.4.3.)

Basically, your Pro apps use the same set of resources (you see the word framework alot in this listing) for many things, it updates them all at once for all apps which use this framework.

Anyone else keep getting "Updating tree" ever since Pro App Support update?
Ever since one of the last updates for Pro Applications administered by Apple, Logic Pro 7 has been starting with an additional annoyance. I keep getting a little load window that says:
"Updating tree, please wait"
Every time I start it up. Anyone else get this? It is pretty annoying. A push to get me to buy Logic 8 so I can appreciate Logic 8's 'superior speed'?
Not like getting Logic 8 would make too much a difference there, being that I am a Power PC user . . . but that is for another topic.

And that is probably a part of the problem-- I don't know how I turned it on in the first place. Any tips on how I get there? Is there a key command for it? What does the Pro App Support 4.0 do for Aperture?
The description of the update is kind of cryptic, I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this.
After loading my Aperture slowed down a lot. When using the loupe and mousing over thumbnails on the light table I now get the spinning beach-ball and dialog saying "loading image" which I never got BEFORE loading this update...and that's with NO other change to Aperture.. not even any additional image files.
Not happy.

FCPro will not open after Pro Apps update
Did recommended software updates at the end of the day yesterday. Quicktime, Pro App Support, Pro App Update, Audio Update, Security Update and Compressor. (Also iTunes, AirPort and Security 2007-07.
Now Final Cut just freezes on the splash screen. Tried to trash the prefs, but FCP does not even load enough to see that the earlier prefs are gone.
Am frustrated that I have again just taken Apple's word that an update will make things better, not worse.
Any suggestions, gang? My client is not as patient as we are.
-robertThanks, Randy and Ed. I repaired permissions and restarted twice and the issue disappeared. For whatever reason the Pro Apps update only crippled iDVD and FCPro for five hours, then quietly went away.
The prefs-trashing and permissions-repairing you suggested are what my dad used to call "kicking the mule"... there is no one reason that banging the side of the TV or resetting an unrelated thing on a computer helps it any more than giving the mule a kick, but sometimes that's all that is needed.
That said, no actual mules or any other animals were harmed in the correction of this glitch. I may have to kick my client though. -
Pro Application Support Update Flaw
Hi All,
Sorry to do this, but I've found a slight flaw in the new Pro App Support Update. I don't know how widespread it is or whether it's limited to intel as I have no way of testing, but on my macbook running 10.4.9 I get a problem, it's a VERY small one but it wasn't there yesterday.
When using Deconvolution on Space Designer, when saving the IR as a file the text box to enter the files name is a little tricky. Pressing enter/return after typing the files name results in the text going down a line as it would in a word processor not pressing the OK button as it did for me before updating. Also the back space button doesnt work in the text box so if I mis spell something I either need to use Delete to delete forwards or select the incorrect text and re type it.
Of course I can get around it, but it's a bug and a new one so I thought you should know. This definitely didn't happen prior to the update as I was making IR's yesterday without a hitch and today after the update I'm getting this error.
It doesn't seem to manifest itself in any other way I've found yet. Maybe it's something to do with Final Cut Studio having a newer version of Space Designer and not being directly compatible with the logic on or something?
There save dialogue for IR's also appears slightly different graphically and it's for the better definitely. So thanks for that.After a few days of testing with the patch applied I can DEFINITELY confirm that the redraw issues in Logic are gone. I get all my buttons now, and not only that, but I also see the blue halo over the highlighted button, which I had never seen before. The whole interface just looks better, not sure if it's just because the buttons are there or what, but even the font for the faders don't smear anymore and things like that. I can say that this is definitely worth the update.

If you're using the Printer Pro app, you're not going to use AirPrint services.
They are not the same thing.
Are you using the 'Open In' option to get the email into Printer Pro for printing?

I'm a bit of an achievement hunter when I play my games, so I bought a rather expensive home to earn one particular achievement.
My "Pro Skater Deam Pad" was built, but the achievement was never awarded. Odd. So I restarted my iPad and thus the game. Still nothing.
I've had the house for a few days now and I still haven't been awarded an achievement, so I went to the App Store and clicked App Support.
It sent me to the EA games homepage, and after scouring the help center with no luck, I was finally pushed into making an account so I could ask my question.
Lo and behold, the EA games cannot access the Game Center or the App Store or anything else like that, and sent me back to Apple.
Repeat the cycle here.
So here's my question and I'd love some answers ::
"What do I need to do to fix the glitch? The app is up to date and is otherwise running perfectly fine."I doubt this warranty is still being honoured, since there was a 2 year time limit.

Tube pro app hang in Lumia 520
I recently reset my phone and downloaded 'Tube Pro' app. It worked for 1 day and after 2nd day it started to close just after displaying its logo. I uninstalled it and again installed, but also the problem didnt solve. Before resetting my phone it had worked perfectly.
RAM: 512MB
Phone storage(free) is more than 4GB
SD CARD storage (free) is more than 10GB
I installed in both memory but it didnt work.
Please suggest what to do.

Go to Solution.Hi, shree_bhandari. I believe you've performed the reset by going to Settings > about, correct? Which connection are you using, Wi-Fi or mobile data? Does it also happen with other web-based apps? You may try the tips provided on this page: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA143572. The given link will work regardless of your location. In case that the issue only exists with that app, best to contact the app developer at support.fscode.net. Can anyone tell me why I might be missing the "pro app" folder my "applications support" folder and how I might get it back? I'm trying to upload the EOS plug-in so that I might directly import my DSLR footage into FCP and I need to make a manipulation to this file once it is downloaded. From what I've read the file will be in the "pro app" folder. For some reason it doesn't exist.
Thanks in advance...Make sure to look in your main LIBRARY folder. There are three...and this can be maddening. There's one in the HARD DRIVE (that's the one you want), one in your HOME directory, and one inside the SYSTEM folder.
Just open the HARD DRIVE, then LIBRARY...then you should see APPLICATION SUPPORT, then ProApps. Then MIO, RAD, PLUGINS.
