    Thanks!

    Hi Dmitriy,
    1.
These tables are maintained by the report AI_SC_GET_SAP_CUSTOMER_NUMBERS.
Also, the report uses the S user is stored in the RFC SAP-OSS to determine all the SAP customer numbers that you support.
So, an S user from the Service Provider, with a password that has authorization to
display all customer information for the VAR customer numbers, must be available in the
    RFC SAP-OSS.
For further information you can check note 1151450.
    2.
To run the report AI_SC_REFRESH_READ_ONLY_DATA, you should be able to perform the above activitie first and flag customer numbers or installations for generating the data.

  • SAP User Maintenance Against SAP License

    Hi Everyone,
I would like to ask for an assistance regarding sap user. This is the scenario: The company has Employee A which was given sap userID with corresponding roles/profiles. Correct me if I'm wrong, the sap license depends also on the number of user in sap system. On this company, they reached the limit of their license according to number of user, for example 400 user. Suddenly,  Employee A resigned. New employee came, Employee B which will replace the job doing by Employee A. If we add another userID on sap system, the number of user will be 401 which exceeded the max user based on the license agreement. One way to solve this issue is to delete the userID as well as the profiles of Employee A and create new userID and profile of Employee B. Another way is to change the userID of Employee A and used its profile to Employee B. Is there available documentation from SAP supporting the above procedure?
    Regards,
    Ronald

Licensing is based on active users. So if you lock user A, set its validity date to the day he/she left and take away the roles and profiles this user will not count for your licenses anymore sou you can safely create a new account for user B.
Deleteing users can cause issues in workflow related proceesses and troubles searching in change documents. There have been some discussions about this in the Netweaver forum.

Though I do not have direct exposure to IS-Retail, but the processes do not vary much depending upon which IS is it. Processes vary depending upon the customer's end needs. i.e., Mostly on reports you want periodically.
As far as Materials integration is concerned, this might not be required if you want only cost and no other integration requirements are there. I'm hinting at an alternative method of counting the spares cost using Measuring Points as Counters (Count Backwards tick) etc. For cost computations of your reports, you'll be taking the MvgAvgPrc from MARA table. Why I'm saying this is because, your Asset database does not seem to be big.
Rest as I hinted usual process of
    1. Notifications (for BDn recording or Preventive jobs Scheduling)
    2. Catalogs and Coding (for Defects, Causes Activitiy recording during BDns)
    3. Measuring points (Health records of your Assets)
    would be there.
(You can use even Catalogs & Codes for spare parts consumption records if the spares database is not much).

  • 'Log Book' in plant maintenance (SAP PM module)

    Dear Experts
I want to know about 'Log Book' in plant maintenance (SAP PM module). How to work on LOG BOOK & what are the configuration settings available in SAP PM for Log Book?
Basically, the concept of logbook is to update shift activities & measures during Plant Maintenance without SAP. but in SAP, What i know about the Log book in SAP PM is : It is an industry specific feature, before it was only used in (IS- Aeronautical). but now it is available in ECC 6.0 also. To activate this node, we need to update the patch 2.0 in ECC 6.0
    Thanx,
    PMGURU

    Dear,
The Logbook is an easy-to-use tool that supports the controlling and execution of daily maintenance tasks for assets in operation. This tool provides personnel, who are operating the assets, with the functions to log defects and operational data. It provides maintenance personnel, such as maintenance engineers and technicians, with functions that ensure the timely and reliable execution of their maintenance tasks.
Logbook is easy to use and provides functionality that is seamlessly integrated with follow-on processes of the mySAP for Aerospace & Defense solution for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO). For example, operational data captured in the Logbook updates measurement points that, in turn, trigger preventive maintenance events. Maintenance work steps created in the Logbook generate material and resource requirements in materials and capacity planning. Material exchanges update the asset structure and automatically generate the required goods movements.
An important business example for using the Logbook is to control the daily line maintenance tasks for aircrafts.
The logbook helps you record defects encountered during aircraft flights and the actions taken to correct them. The log may also include the space to record additional flight data, such as the names of the crew members, flight parameters, payload data, fueling data, flight hours, and cycles operated.
    Regards,
    Rakesh
