Prob in accessing homepage after APEX installation

Hi,
i'm new to APEX,
i've successfully installed APEX on my machine.
when i try to access database XE homepage its forwarding to APEX home page...
can anyone tel me why this happens???
and solution for this..

When i ran the same code in a database where APEX is not installed, i am not getting any messages:

Hi there,
This is simply diagnostic information being emitted by the APEX component validation procedure. You would get the same output if you simply ran sys.validate_apex on the instance where APEX is installed.
This isn't anything to be alarmed about - everything looks normal to me.

Net access mess after Tiger installation

Could somebody please help me with some advice on how to deal with what upgrading to Tiger has done to my internet access?
I have a G4 800 Mhz i-mac, and was on OSX 10.2.8. before my upgrade, using Safari, and increasingly Firefox, to get on the net through a broadband provider, and Mail for my emails.
Ten days ago I installed Tiger, putting it on a separate, and empty, partition of my HD as if it were a basic instal, and when the option appeared to transfer my applications, settings and folders from the partition with 10.2.8, I clicked to transfer. The transfer was done, and the result has worked fine in every respect except access to the net.
Mail access has not been affected. But with both Safari and Firefox I find that while sometimes they work just as fast as before in accessing websites and their pages, at other times they are impossibly slow, or act as if I had no connection to the web at all, and on occasions even show a message saying connection lost - even though at the same time Mail works as normal for both sending and receiving messages. I’ve talked to my broadband provider tech support, and they say the fault has to be with my browsers, but I can’t find it and so cure it.
The only change I made in my Applications after installing Tiger was to download Skype. Could this have have anything to do with why my net access through Safari (now 2.04) and Firefox (now 1.5.0.7) has turned erratic? If not, what could be the answer, and what the cure?

First off, have you Repaired Permissions with Disk Utility yet?
The issue does sound a little bit like DNS issues... if you have nothing for that in Network>TCP/IP>DNS Servers:, then try...

Cant access ECP after the installation of cu7

Hello guys,
I am confronting a weird issue, i installed exchange 2013 cu7 a week ago and since then i am not able anymore to login to ECP as administrator. In fact i can login but the server is forwarding the request to OWA (Account Options of administrator).
I figured out how to Enable/Disable the admin with the following exchange powershell command:
Set-ECPVirtualDirectory -Identity "hostname exchange\ecp (default web site)" -AdminEnabled $True
Is there an other way of doing that? Something like that the admin will be enabled on internal LAN but not from the internet...?

From your description, I would like to verify the following things for troubleshooting:
1. Check if users can logon to OWA successfully.
2. Make sure that the ECP and OWA authentication is the same with the authentication before installing Exchange 2013 CU7.
3. Create a new user and add this user as a member of the Organization Management role group, then check if you can logon EAC using this user account.

Accessing music after re-installation of drivers

I'm a bit of a luddite but I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows Vista. Up until a few weeks ago I had no problems downloading tunes, syncing with my i pod etc until my laptop started to play up. I called Dell and I re-installed my drivers etc.
I still have my tunes on my i pod but am reluctant to download i tunes and plug my i pod into my laptop for fear of losing everything.
Can anyone offer sage advice to a layman?

Problem while trying to log in as ADMIN after new installation of Apex 3.2

Dear Apex experts,
I have a strange problem with my Apex installation.
I installed Apex 3.21 by previosly deleting my former apex version with apxsremov
and executing the apexinst skript.
That script runs fine but during validation it throws out the error :

After running the installer I chnaged the passowrd of admin using both
@apxxepwd
and
@apxchpwd
If I try to login I always get the "Invalid Login Credentials"-error.
During the examination of my Apex_030200 schema I found out that the login trials are logged in
the WWV_Flow_user_access_LOG1$ table with authentication result = 1.
I didn't find any entry in the WWV_FLOW_FND_USER table.
Does someone of you know what's wrong with my installation and how to fix the problem ?
I would be happy about every hint.

Can you show all of the errors in your log, or is that all of them?
If you connect as SYS and run validate_apex, what shows up?

My daughter's 13" late 2011 MacBook Pro has frozen (null sign displays) after Yosemite installation. I can, however, boot from a clone of my MacBook Air that is on an external drive. I reinstalled Yosemite on the MBP HD, but it still hangs in mid install. Despite the fact that I can boot from the external, could it be the RAM that's the problem? I'd happily put 8 GB in if it seems probable that would solve the problem. I've tried all the suggested procedures that I've seen posted here. Disk Utility, and my older version of DiskWarrior indicate the HD is OK. I have DiskWarrior 5 on order.

Boot the MBP with the OPTION key down. If successful, you should see two HDD icons, Select the recovery partition (on the right).
From the 4 option menu select Disk Utility.
Run Disk Utility>First Aid, Verify and Repair.
If the disk cannot be repaired, it will have to be replaced.

I have a running Glasfish + APEX Listener einvironment with almost 8 different DB targets --> all of them work well.
Now I tried to add another database target.
To do so I install APEX 4.2.2 in a fresh ORACLE 11.2 (there was no APEX in before) database. I do all given in the installation doc and had no error during APEX installation.
I copied an existing configuration in Listener environment and the result is, runnning the URL in Browser, a blank white PAGE with no content - no HTML content inside nor any error at client or server side.
Does anyone have a tip how to tackle this down.

Oracle XE R11.2 DB Mgmt App not accessable after APEX 4.2 upgrade

I recently installed Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2 (with APEX installed). Then went through the documented processes to upgrade APEX to R4.2. When I did that, I lost access to the APEX based GUI for managing the R11g XE database.
The "lost" application was reached by the URL http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f?p=4950
which now returns: Error Error processing request.
ORA-01403: no data found
OK
Does anyone know if it is possible to recover or re-install the original Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2 "Getting Started" APEX application in this new APEX 4.2 environment? This would greatly speedup my DB management tasks so I don't have to find SQL statements for all DB operations.

Move APEX Installation from one database to another one

My task is to move an APEX installation to a new one.
Exact: The customer wants to downgrade from Enterprise Edition to Standard Edition.
Database version is 9.2.0.8 (both), APEX version is 2.2.1
What I've done:
- Full database export (from EE)
- Delete EE-software, reboot server
- Install. SE-software, reboot server, create db
- Full database import
around 40 db objects are invalid after recompile:-(
2. try:
- create db (SE)
- Install. of APEX 2.2.1
- Import of the schemas flows_020200, flows_files and the APEX user-schemas
- recompile
all db objects are valid, but the APEX applications belongs to a workspace "unknown" so no workspace have access to its applications:-(
Has anybody an idea or a recipe for me?

Thanks for your post on this thread last Friday evening, May 2. I posted my message on Wednesday April 30, and after receiving no response after two days, we decided to go ahead with my planned migration on Friday afternoon. We completed it shortly after 5:00 PM (just six hours before you posted your response). Everything seemed to go well, but based on your expert opinion, we've decided to scrap the TARGETDB installation and redo the migration according to your recommendations.
It seems that exporting each Apex application individually from the SOURCEDB and importing it individually to the TARGETDB would be a laborious and lengthy process, but if Oracle provides no faster and more convenient alternative, then I guess this is something we’ll have to do.
However, this has sparked more questions….
Like I said in my previous post, we’re relatively new to Apex. When I mentioned exporting/importing Apex workspaces, I was imprecise in my terminology. I know you can export Apex applications from the SOURCEDB Apex installation and import them into the TARGETDB Apex installation using the Web based Apex Admin tool. But can/should you do the same with workspaces? Or do you recreate corresponding empty Apex workspaces on the TARGETDB and then import the appropriate Apex applications into them?
What would you suggest to be the best way to do this?

Converted access app to apex when run get no data found; table does have da

COnverfted MS Access app to apex. WHen I run the appliation I get no data found.
However the table does have data. HOw do I see what is actually running?
The pre-converted form saids its based on a query. The form and the query shows up as valid. I then converted the form. When I run it I get no data found. If I take the query that the form is based on and run in sqlplus I get data.
Another confusing thing is when I look at the page for the converted form, there is nothing in the source area for the region where the converted query results should be.
Did the conversion not work? How can I tell what is the source? Where should the results from the query be located?

Its a standard SQL query:

The name of the above query lets say for example purposes is MYQUERY.
After looking at the page def I see that the way the conversion tool worked is that in the page definition it has this in the Processes Section:
After Header:
Fetch Row from MYQUERY.
Then it says automated Row fetch.
I compared this to another form that was converted thru the migration APex tool as well and on that form that does work I found that:
The query(form) was converted and placed in a region and the source has the query. THat is, it was not in the process section but in the region: source section.
So why does the conversion tool decide to convert one and populate as a region source and the other as a process in the page definition?
THis is all very confusing.

Serious heating after Bootcamp installation

After I installed Windows using BootCamp, my MBP is getting too heated even when running on Mac. I had the similar issue before on my another MBP laptop. But I could not get it that time that after Windows installation my Mac got corrupted.
Now most of my application is taking too much time to load, and also the CPU and enclosure temperature is unbelievable. Please help me.

Fact #1 All Apex forms are stored in a database.
Fact #2 Apex connects as user ANONYMOUS
Fact #3 Apex is essentially a development environment, though the development part can be switched off
Question #1: Did you realize you were installing a development product in a production environment? If so, as your production environment doesn't seem to be able to cope with the load, why did you install it
Fact #4: 'Virtual circuit waits' signify the use of shared server. Do you use the mod_plsql installation of Apex or did you install the Apex listener? Or is the TCP protocol configured for shared server (Mod_plsql uses XDB which runs on shared server)
My suggestion would be either of two choices
1 redirect this question to the Apex forum
2 de-install Apex from your production environment
Personally I would choose option 2.

Issue in Infoview Schedulers after SP2 installation

After the installation of SP2 on XIR3 (12.1.0.882.BOE_Mira_RTM), I am facing issue while scheduling webi reports from infoview.
Under the u201CFormats and Destinationsu201D option, by default u201CWeb Intellegenceu201D is selected in output format, when I am trying to select any other option (Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, CSV) infoview page is refreshing and showing u201CPage cannot be displayedu201D HTTP 400 u2013 Bad Request and also showing u201CDONEu201D in status bar with Error sign in IE.

OIF installation - OHS doesn't start after Webgate installation

Hi,
We are using Solaris 10 sparc server where we have installed Oracle Http Server(OHS) instance and Oracle Identity Federation(OIF).
We have also installed Oracle access server on different host and we have created Webgate profile for OHS from Access System Console and assoaciate that webgate with Access Server.
Then we have installed OHS webgate Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_sparc-s2_OHS2_WebGate on the server where OHS is installed, now when we try to restart OHS instance after successful installation of webgate we are getting the following error:

So can anyone please help us out in finding what is causing this issue. Are we missing something or using wrong libraries?

We also tried with 64 bit webgate /Oracle_Access_Manager10_1_4_3_0_sparc-s2_64_OHS11g_WebGate/ but we are still getting the following error during the webgate installation itself:
