Prob w/ my x61beeping sound on dim2slot,. Y????

good day 2 all.
i have a problem w/ my X61 i handle 3 x61 unit all of them w/ beping sound in dim 2 slot. evrytime i add a memory 2 upgrade there is a beeping sound w/ slot 2 of dim.. you think the problem is the slot2?
why the 3 have the same problem..
pls.. lenovo admin answer me.
guys u think its a factory defect?

iTunes is the primary program for streaming music from the mac to the airport and is the best out there considering that it was written directly by the vendor who made the product.
Having said that though, when you asked the question it kinda got me thinking as to whether or not it could be done, after looking briefly on the internet i did come across this link:
http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/mac/
This link seems to advertise a company which has designed there own software to work and stream any sound from the mac (or windows machine) they do both across the airport express.
Not sure good it is, but the company seems to be quite confident in it considering they are trying to sell it. I myself will be sticking with iTunes as i feel no need to line another companies pockets with money when they are trying to make money off apples hardwork.
Hope this helps.

  • Probs with imported swf file

    Hi
I have imported a swf file which is displayed correctly
within the import dialog. After clicking OK only the placeholder of
the imported animation is seen. When running the captivate movie
the swf is not diplayed. When setting the swf to synchronize to
movie all frames of the swf are displayed but don't stop where they
are supposed to do. Unfortunately this swf file was exported from
the authoring system opus xe so I don't have a chance to edit it in
    flash itself.
Maybe someone knows a solution for this prob?
    T.

It sounds like the swf file may not be 30 frames per second.
I'm using v1.01 and I've had a lot of problems with swf files
loading consistently. A few times when I positioned the swf file at
the very beginning of the Captivate timeline it wouldn't load.
Moving it a half second up on the timeline fixed the
    problem.

  • Asking how to install Realtek AC'97 sound driver

(Due to results from the ALSA Configurator, I'm wondering if maybe there's an alternative driver I could use that might fix my problem.)
I have a sound card integrated with my motherboard, it's a Realtek AC'97. Whenever I reinstall an operating system, I've found out, I have to install the newest drivers for that sound card, http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/dow … Down=false.
If I don't, then most multimedia functions are not good for me. Basically, sound will cut in and out. If I'm on Youtube, whenever sound cuts out, the video will continue for exactly two seconds and stop. Sometimes I can reload the Youtube video, and it'll either play for two seconds without sound, or go normal, but usually for only a little time, not even a minute.
Games and video's I've downloaded will run, just I'm not going to have sound. :-(
On Windows, it's easy. Simple .exe file. I was wondering if I could get help installing this though, it comes with instructions, but they are in a different language to me.
    Automatic install:
    execute
    ./install
    Manual install:
    Step 1. unzip source code
    tar xfvj alsa-driver-1.0.xx.tar.bz2
Step 2. Turn on sound support (soundcore module, default turn on)
    Step 3. Complied source code
    a. cd alsa-driver-1.0.xx
    b. ./configure
    c. make
    d. make install
    e. ./snddevices
Step 4. Edit your /etc/modules.conf or conf.modules depending on the distribution
(Please refer to the attached modules.conf)
    snd-xxxx is the card ID.

    Step 5. reboot your machine
Step 6. Use the alsamixer the disable mute (All audio line default is mute)
*Must to compile and to install the ALSA library and utility. (Use automatic install is already install)
    excute alsamixer
If I do the ./install, then I will end with an ALSA Configuration screen, it will say it's building card database, search sound cards, and say it couldn't find any supported PnP or PCI cards. It asks to probe for legacy ISA sound cards, I say yes, same problem.
I'm also wondering if maybe there's an alternative driver I could use that might fix my problem.

Yes, I have installed the stuff. Although I noticed the drivers were last updated 10/21, but the new drivers I need were 11/5. Although, the documentation talks about ICH6 and ICH7, whereas mine is ICH4.

  • Windows Vista vs. Sound Blaster Audigy Value = Problem

I am facing problems with SoundBlaster Audigy Value when using it with Windows Vista. However i have downloaded and installed latest drivers (Version No. - SB24_VTDRV_LB__04_0077) supporting this card but still it is functioning as good as it worked with windows XP .
Prob # : I can hear sound from my TV Tuner device but cannot perform recording , an error ("Cannot render audio capture system") is generated whenever i try to do so. I also tried to set recording control of my Tv Tuner device to sound card's "line in" parameter as i used to do in XP but in Vista my device shows nothing. Why ?
Prob # 2: Can you tell me where I can find "creative graphic equalizer" for this card which supports windows Vista or please provide a link to download it's
Prob # 3: Why we cannot enable "Bass Boost" using new Creative Audio Console while using Creative Inspire 4400 (4. Channel Speakers) like i used to do in windows XP ?
I will be extremely thankful to you if you please provide a solution to these problems.
    Thank You........

  • Win 7 Crashes with Beta Drivers and Sound pack 2.0

    ? Hello Folks!
Just updated to Win 7 Ultimate x86, build 7600. Unfortunately I have no sound at all. I installed the Beta Driver released by Creative on July and it freezes my computer during the driver install.. and freezes the boot up process when I installed the drivers in safe mode.
I removed them.. now my system works fine. I gave a shot as well to the 2.0 pack from Daniel... everything works fine.. 'til it gets into the driver install... the system freezes on the process. I tried as well with safe mode.. and the boot process freezes.
I checked the log for Startup Repair.. and it reports a bad driver. SO again I removed them, and system boots fine with no probs, BUT still no sound.
Any ideas fellas.. someone with x86 7600 build, with sound working?! I forgot to add that I have an XtremeGamer Sound Card
    Regards
    Roberto

    UPDATE
Changed the Sound Card to another PCI Port and worked fine. Now I'm using Daniel's driver set. Everything is going great at the moment.

  • MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R - Which slot sound card?.

    Hi all,
I have a MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R and was wondering which slot to put my sound card in?.
At the mo it's in pci slot 4 i only have 3/4and 5 availible becuase of my arctic cooler on my rad 9800 pro.
The sound card is on IRQ 19 sharing with the IEE1394 host controller, i dont use firewire so could i disable it in the bios?.
    Cheers all.

    Hi
Should not make any differance, don't worry about the IRQ, let the comp sort it out, it knows whats where, better than humans do.
Any probs, disable the onboard sound. maybe change PCI slot, but there should not be.
    cheers

  • No HDMI Audio from PNY Nvidia G210 Card - Please Help [SOLVED]

    ***** It's now working! *****
Thanks to some of the posts on the XBMC and Ubuntu hardware forums. I picked up a lot of pointers.
When using this card with XBMC, There is no need at all for an /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf with probe masks etc. and there is no need for a /etc/asound.conf either (if you are going to just use XBMC like me for your HTPC setup)
All you need is ALSA 1.0.23 installed and at least be running kernel 2.6.34. aplay -l should reveal multiple (4) Nvidia devices as shown in my previous text further down this post, this is fine, however only 1 of these Nvidia devices will actually deliver sound to your TV via HDMI.
In XBMC, goto System Settings, Audio Settings, set device to "Custom" and enter only ONE of the following and then try and play a movie or music in XBMC... (My G210 Nvidia soundcard is card 1 as I also have onboard audio at card 0 so bear this in mind when applying this method to your setup e.g if your HDMI soundcard is card 0 then the first thing to try is plughw:0,3)
    plughw:1,3
    plughw:1,7
    plughw:1,8
    plughw:1,9
My PNY G210 card worked using a "Custom" device in XBMC of plughw:1,8
If you are not using XBMC and are using for example a Gnome desktop then you can apparently get sound working by using the text in the code box below in your /etc/asound.conf (this will ensure alsa defaults to the correct card and sub device for hdmi audio) again ensure you are using the correct card number and device number. You can validate this by testing audio as follows from the command line "speaker-test -D plughw:1,8 -r 44100" and simply work your way through the 4 devices until you find the one that works.
    pcm.!default {
    type plug
    slave.pcm {
    type hw
    card 1
    device 8
Given the amount of testing and reading I have done on this, I wouldn't be surprised if this method works for any G210 Nvidia cards and HDMI audio, as the logic seems sound (if you'll pardon the pun! :-))
Hopefully someone will find this helpful.

I've tried the tips from the wiki here in terms of probe masks added to sound.conf but still no joy. http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=HOW-TO_set_ … ,_or_GT240
I've also tried the tips from this post here and still no sound. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=90350
Disabling the motheroard onbonard Intel Audio makes no difference and manually compiling and installing the very latest ALSA driver makes no difference.
Has anyone got HDMI audio working on this card under linux?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer as I have now run out of ideas and if I can't get this to work will have to revert back to my old ASUS EN9400GT card which takes s/pdif from the motherboard for audio out to HDMI.

  • Publish on new computer

I had a serious computer crash in november and needed data retrieval(successful) . I have bought a new G5 and now realise that my web site published on iweb using my previous computer and hosted by mobile me, is not accesible to me to work on. Apple support got me through the process of migrating the web site "domain" onto my new version of iweb on my new machine but even though it is viewable and I can edit it, I am then unable to publish it as I get a warning that Mobile me isnt communicating with iweb. Is this because the original site was constructed using an older version of iweb and if so is there a way round it. Or do I have to start to build the site all over again.
    Any help much appreciated

B ~ It sounds like your new version of iWeb has successfully opened the Domain file built with an older version of iWeb — so I don't think that's the problem. Try this:
"Go to MobileMe (terrible name) in System Preferences, log out. Then enter a garbage name and password and try to log in. This apparently clears the MobileMe preferences. Then enter your real UserName and PassWord." (Then try to publish.)
    ...Found by doing THIS.

  • Low microphone lev

Im trying to record digitally and I can barely hear what is recorded using a microphone. I have all the levels turned up in the Windows soundrecorder program. It is a functioning mic but I am using an adaptor to plug into the 3.5mm port in my soundblaster card. It is a stereo /4" (F) to a stereo 3.5mm (M) adaptor. Could this be the problem?

Can you find out the impedance of your mic? SoundBlaster mic inputs are rated for ~600 ohms. If your mic is a lot higher than this, the input signal may be attenuated for your SB. Your onboard mic-input may have different impedance specs. There are other reasons mics don't work, but impedance mismatch is a common one and easy to exclude.

  • Arch, Windows Multiboot with Grub - overwrites Windows MBR

    Hi,
I'm not sure, if I understand the way it works right.
Each partition has a boot record. Windows is at /dev/sda1, so there is a boot record at the beginning of this partition. /dev/sda2 is System reserverd for Windows.
And my archlinux is at /dev/sda3 (yes only one partition, so its easier for the installation ).
    I installed grub with:
    # modprobe dm-mod
    # grub-install --recheck /dev/sda
    # grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
(the way its descripted in the wiki)
So far I know it writes a master boot record at the beginning of /dev/sda.
But the disk starts with the windows partition so it overwrites the boot record on /dev/sda1 (the windows boot record).
    Is that true so far?
Its the way I did it last time I tried to install Grub. The result: I couldnt start Windows anymore (Grub only showed arch).
As solution I have to provide space at the beginning of the disk? So the master boot record will be installed at that space?
    Best regards Helmsen

You could simply create a persistent entry with one of the /etc/grub.d/*custom files.  Then you could avoid installing os-prober.  But it sounds like in your case, the automation of grub is soemthing you are after.  So go ahead and install os-prober, and let it do its thing.
As a new Arch user I thought that grub2's automagic configuration was pretty cool. But at the time I was still distro-hopping, so it took about a week before I realized how not cool it really was.

  • Detecting Key Press at App Startup

I would like to detect a press of the Shift key (ideally) when my application starts.
If the user is pressing the key, display a normally hidden dialog allowing the user to select the language to use. If the key is not pressed, continue starting the application in the default language.
From the Java Tutorial, it seems I can only detect a key press if the focus in on a GUI element is already visible. This defeats the purpose of having the special dialog be hidden.
    Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?Sounds like you need to Listen for a key press in your running code
you could try to give the GUI focus while still having it hidden(don't know if that would work)AND Make sure that you have your GUI and main APP in seperate threads. This would, of course, require a pause in your main app to change the language, so if you can get a key listener in your main app i think that would solve all probs.
    sorry if this sounds confusing
