Probablity Assignment in Sales document type
Dear Friends
In Sales Document Type OR in General Control Section there is one field of Probabilities "100" in display mode. How I can create or customize say 50, 90 etc along how assign it.
Regards
arun
Hi
This field determine the probability of converting the perticular sales doc in to Invoice .
When sales order is created that means the order from customer is firm and its probability is 100% .
But if u see the probability of converting Inquiry and Quotation into Business is less than 100 % always .
It will be depend on Many factor which include past record of buying of a perticular customer etc .
As Sales Order is a assure Business to a company from Customer the probability of converting it into Invoice is taken as 100 % and there is no need to chnage it .
Hope this help

Error in assigning sales document type to sales area
Dear All,
I am trying to assing sales document type to sales area, but system is not allowing me to do that
I am having this error message
" First, maintain the sales area <1000/14/00> as a common sales area, and
then assign allowed sales document types. This means: Complete the IMG
activity Assign sales area to sales document types in the sequence
entered here."
Note:
I have never created a distribution channel "14" and division "00" then why system is asking me to define this as a common sales area.
How can I maintain common sales area ?Dear Ali,
1.You go to VOR1 transaction here you check what is the distribution channel assigned as common distribution channel for your sales organisation and distribution channel ,if it is improper then maintain correct Distribution channel.
2.You go to VOR2 transaction here you check what is the division assigned as common division to your sales organisation and Divisionif ,it is improper then maintain correct Division.
3.You go to OVAO transaction here you assign reference sales organisation to your sales organisations.
4.You go to OVAM transaction here you assign reference distribution channel to your sales organisation and common distribution channel.
5.You go to OVAN transaction here you assign reference division to your sales organisation and common division.
6.Finally you assin sales document type to your referenced sales area.
I hope this will help you,
Regards,
Murali.

A sales document type to all sales areas
Is there a short cut to assign a sales document type to all sales areas (not to assign a sales document with a process of assignment one by one - I need to find out a solution for a single assignment for all sales areas)?
Thanks in advance.Hi Cathy,
The Assignment field is in this path
IMG - SALES AND DISTRIBUTION - SALES - SALES DOCUMENT HEADER - ASSIGN SALES AREA TO SALES DOCUMENT TYPE.
Here you can see you have four steps to be configured
Combine sales organizations OVAO
Combine distribution channels OVAM
Combine divisions OVAN
Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas OVAZ
To work on any Sales Document type keep this 4 steps blank.
You wll not get any Error.
Reward if helpful,
Regards
PAVAN.

Sales Area and Sales document type
Hi Professionals,
I like to clarify if the following is correct:
1. Sales Area Must Be assigned to Sales document type.
regards
JohnHi John,
1. Sales Area Must Be assigned to Sales document type
-as far as the logic for this goes ,
its main relevanmce is to limit the sales document type to the sales area is that the end user does not create a sales order ,
for another sales area in your sales document let for ex-
there is a sales area for whole sales and one for retail.
now you have configurerd the ywho sales doc type for whole sales- sales area and yret for retail sales area.
now if the user creates the ywho sales order in retail sales area there will be process related problems for despatch guys so in order to limit this error and hassle, there are the ales area specific sales document types and can be configured as earlier told by gurus

Assign partner determination procedure to Item Category/Sales document type
Hello All,
How can I assign a partner determination procedure to an item category or sales document type? That field is disabled in item category config step. Please suggest.
Thanks,
lavanyaHI Lavanya,
The partner determination will happen through a different way and not through item category definition.
The path would be
S&D->MAster Data->Bussiness partners->customers->Customer hierarchy->set partner determination for hirearchy categories.
In this you will have one option to define by item category.
Hope this helps.

How to flip the FI document type assigned in sales billing type
Hi Expart,
We have a special requirement here,as per client requirement we need to flip the FI document type assigned in sales billing type screen (VOFA). The requirement has came because the billing type is used for one company code XXXX, and we need to use the same billing type with different FI document type for another company code YYYY. Since we can't assigned two FI document types in biling document, i belive this can be done only through user exit, pl help me to get the applicable user exit in SD.
Thanks
Garima.Hi,
The user exit (T.Code SMOD) u201CEXIT_SAPLV60B_001u201D, with include u2018ZXVVFU01u2019, will be implemented. In user exit code will be written, as if company code found as u2018YYYYu2019 and Sales Doc type found as 'AAA' the FI document determine as u2018Z2u2019 in place of default value coming from one-to-one mapping u2018Z1u2019 (FI Document).
IF VBRK-FKART EQ 'AAA' AND VBRK-BUKRS EQ 'YYYY' AND XACCIT-BLART EQ 'Z1'.
XACCIT-BLART = 'Z2'.
hope this will help.

Probability in Sales Document Type
Dear SAP Champ
I just want to know how can I put Probability, i.e. AWAHR field to 100% because it is coming grey, in my sales document type VOV8.
Thanking you!In continuation to the other suggestion, this field will be populated based on the settings what you maintained for Quotation document type. The best way to understand the behaviour of this field is just press F1 and see the explanation given under Example
Last but not least, it is not recommended to change the document category as suggested.
thanks

Issues in creating Sales Document Type
I am creating a new Sales Document Type, but the problem is this that the "Probability" &
"Incompl. Proced" fields are disabled and I am unable to enter record in this field , please help me out that how can I enter values in these fields.Hi shadab ali
You will be configuring the Incompletion procedure in SPRO->basic functions->Incompletion log procedure.
There to your sales document type an incompletion log will be assigned and that incompletion log will be getting grayed out. So if you want to change you need to change in in Incompletion log procedure. And the probability will be getting grayed out as it is determined by the Sales document category .That is the reason if you see for document type IN the probability will be different and if you see for document type QT probability will be different but if you see for document type OR the probability will be 100%.Generally it gets copied from the CMR also.

How to configure a new third party sales document type?
Hi SAP SD gurus,
I am new to the SAP world, I need your help in configuring a new third party sales document type for a site.
There are existing third party document types being used in the region, but the client wants an entirely new third party document type that is activated for CREDIT MANAGEMENT.
I just need your inputs, as how to go about it. If I copy from an existing third party sales doc. What additional steps do I need to follow? Like Item category config, copy control settings, and credit management.
Is there a need to create new billing types?
Also as per process, by creating a new document type, how will it affect the logistic processes, if any?
Thanks a lot in advance for your valuable inputs.Hello,
You can create new document type under following customization path
SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Define Sales Document Types
Now create new document type by copying the standard document type OR
Now go to
SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Sales Document Item>>Define Item Categories
which is already defined for third party sales (TAS)
Now assign this iteme category to your new document type
SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Sales Document Item>>Assign Item Categories
Assignment needs to be done in combination of sales document type and item category group (BANS)
Now
SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Sales Documents>>Schedule Lines
Assignment of schedule line is already done as you are using the standard one.
Lastly, you may need to maintain copy control for your newly created sales document type for this go to
SPRO>>Sales and Distribution>>Sales>>Maintain Copy Control for Sales Documents
(Copying Control: Sales Document to Sales Document)
Here you can define copy control requirements.

Copying from sales document type L2 to RK is not supported
Dear Experts,
Can any guide me please regarding my issue,
My process is linked with service order, after creation of service order,I am going to DP90 Tcode with this it will generate debit memo request, and I will do the billing from vf01.
Now I want to make some invoice correction,
so I have copied the standard RK invoice correction document to ZRK
and i have assign this for my sales area in sales document header,
now I have raised the order from va01,and I have given the invoice document number,
its showing this error u201CCOPYING FROM SALES DOCUMENT TYPE L2 TO ZRK IS NOT SUPPORTEDu201D
for this I think I have to maintain the copy controls,
can any one help me out how to maintain the copy controls for invoice correction.Dear JP,
As you said I have maintained the item category,I have only two item categories, one is L2N,L2W.
I have copied the standard document from VTAF,and I have maintained the copy controls like this,
Copied from RK to F2 as ZRK to ZL2 header data
Data T 052 billing doc header
Data T 103 billing bus header data
Data T 003 billing header partner
Copying requirements as 021 billing header
Tick on copy item number
Then item category maintained as
Item category as L2N
Data T 153 Item from billing document
Data T 104 billing bus item data
Data T 004 billing item partner
Copying requirements as 000
Pricing type u201CEu201D
2nd pricing type u201CDu201D
And the same for L2W,but I have not maintained for u201CG2Nu201Ditem category, but I has copied automatically?
Then I have raised the sales order from va01,its ask the billing document number,I have given the billing doc number and press on copy, its has open the sales order,
Here I have two issues,
1st its generating the two same line items, with G2N item category
EG:if I have given 2 materials line items then its generating the 4 line items with the same material.
2nd I am not able edit any line litem,it all are coming in non editable mode, how to make editable field, and make the changes for price and quantity.
After saving the document again I have to do the billing from vf01?
please suggest me,so this will be added advantage to the user. -
Sales documents type - sales to employees
Hi Experts,
I am working on sales to employees scenario.
I want to create sales document type for these sales.
Scenario would be employees buy products from factory shop and pay for the products in cash and take them away immediately.
What aspects should i look into?
Thank youSales to employees is similar to cash sales.
So, it would be better to copy cash sales order type BV.
Ensure that all related table entries are copied.
Important aspects to be looked into are
shipping conditions (assign as soon as possible - 01)
Immediate delivery field is activated by X - generate delivery immediately
Lead time field is blank
Propose deliv date field is activated
Delete entry in Dlv related billing type field since sales to employees would be order related
You can also deactivate following functions as per your requirement to improve system performance
credit limit
purchase document number
commitment date
open quotations, outline agreements, group master contracts messages

HI FRIENDS,
WE WANT TO BLOCK PERTICULAR DOCUMENT TYPE FOR A SALES AREA FOR PERTICULAR PERIOD. IS THERE ANY SETINGS? PLEASE CONFIRM, IT'S URGENT.
KAUSHIKHello,
you vcan assign sales area to the document type.
Please go into the customizing the following menu path:
> PRO
> Sales and Distribution
> Sales Document
> Sales Document Header
> Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types
Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types
In this menu option, you allocate the allowed order types to each sales area group.
You do not need to make any entries at all if all the sales order types are allowed for each of your sales areas.
If you wish to check allowed sales document types, you must set up common sales areas. This means you must define common sales organizations, common distribution channels and common divisions. If, for example, you have define common divisions, then you must also define common distribution channels and sales organizations.
Example 1 (simplest case):
Only the sales document type "standard order" (OR) should be allowed for a specific sales area <0001/01/01> (that means: sales organization 0001, distribution channel 01, division 01). The following activities are required for this:
1.1) Activity "group together sales organizations":
Sales org. Ref.sales org.
0001 0001
1.2) Activity "group together distribution channel":
Sales org. Distr.ch. Distr.ch. Doc.type
0001 01 01
1.3) Activity "group together divisions":
Sales org. Division Division Doc.type
0001 01 01
1.4) Activity "assign allowed order types to sales areas":
Ref.sales Distr.ch. Division Sales doc.type
0001 01 01 OR
Example 2:
The above settings should also be used for the sales area
I hope that the information are helpful.
Regards
Claudia
