Probably a really easy question but im really stuck so need to know asap please!

Im currently working on a piece for my final year project that takes a webcam and has an old movie effect over it. I have this all working but what I need to know asap though is,
Is there a way that i could put a black box over it that when the user walks in front of the camera that the black box would disapear. I need to know asap so please please please please let me know if you know how to do this!

i guess what you need is motion detection - when motion is detected, set visibility of black box to true.

I have turned the internet inside-out looking for a simple

It is just conceivable you burned a CD that exactly matched one already in the Gracenote database. Gracenote uses track count and duration to decide what CD it is you have in a computer. If you have one that matches that it will label it. You could conceivably even have one that matches it that is not the correct one.

Once upon a time there were some nice tutorials that showed how to do the simple stuff. For copy and paste, use the Edit menu, up there in the Menu Bar. Or better, learn the keyboard short cuts. The little "four leaf clover" is the key with the Apple on it. It's also called the command key. Hold it down and use the keys right above it. The Z is "undo" great for stupid errors, as long as you didn't compound the error by doing too many stupid things in a row. X is for "cut" a lot like "copy" except it disappears until you paste it. C is for "copy" and V is for "paste."

Probably a really dumb question, but...

How to I upgrade to the newest version of iTunes? For a while, whenever I would open iTunes a box would come up asking if I wanted to upgrade. I always said no, and now that I'm wanting to upgrade the box won't pop up. So can someone tell me where I can go to upgrade? And would you advise upgrading? I have heard some bad things about it but I'm really needing to get some music and with the whole music store being frozen, I pretty much will try anything to get it working again and I noticed that one of the options was to upgrade. Probably a really noob question but hey ?

Ok this might be something really simple but whenever i add say a midi part from superior drummer and then decide to delete it the entire track moves on the timeline. The same thing happens if i delete a bar in the middle because i decide i dont like a fill once i delete it the gap closes up as the two parts either side join together. How do i stop this so that when i delete or move something the rest stays in place ?

Hello everyone. I am new to Mac and Logic. I am doing a one-on-one tutorial with an Apple "genius" once a week to try and get up to speed on Logic, but I need to get something sorted out right now. I am producing a podcast for shortwave transmission and the file needs to be in mono. My question is, how do you set the export to mono? I see no options on the bounce menu to export in mono.

I'm not sitting in front of logic but I think the master fader has a button to change it from stereo to mono. When it is in stereo mode it has 2 interlocked circles. When in mono, it has 1 circle.

Silly question but I really need HELP please!!!

Hey I'd like to write a program and build up many classes.
My problem is now I've got all the classes and couldn't get them right to work together as one program.
for example I've got a class user and two diffrent kinds of users as childlasses.
the users itself are constructed in a network listener class but I've also a gui how can I get them right work together in one program. See I need to have this object stored in one place but I cannot store them in a object without knowing the objekt itself or do I didn't understand that right.
So how can I store these objects (add and remove) and search through them or do you have other possible solutions.

I am about to get a new 5g iPod, and I am excited about being able to watch videos on it. But I have a quick question, is it possible to rip DVDs(like you can with CDs) from iTunes?

30G IPOD, really dumb question, but I need help.

I have a question, I need to put some files onto my IPOD, and with my old IPOD I just dragged the files onto the IPOD icon on the desktop, but now I don't that icon and not sure how to get files onto my IPOD. Help.

Really easy question from the technologically ignorant

Hello hello... I'm new to macs and I'm trying to work out how to share files and applications and suchlike from my account to my girlfriend's (on the same computer). For example, it'd be nice if when I put a CD on i-Tunes it automatically went into her library as well - also, when I install programmes on my account, we can't seem to access them from hers. I'm sure this is hopelessly easy to do, but there's only so much experimenting I can do before I worry I'm going to break something...

iTunes has a sharing preference. There's no need to download music to both users Music folder. The /Users/Shared folder is set up so that all users can put files in this location and let other login users "see" them. Changing the content of a file in the Shared folder involves modifying the permissions on the file. This can be done in the Get Info window (you will find a sub-menu in the Finder's File menu). Select the file that you wish to change the permissions on, select the Get Info sub-menu and change the permissions so Others can read & write.

Possibly a really stupid question but...

So, I have an LG Cosmos, and recently I've been noticing that I will receive a text message from someone, read it, respond to it, and then receive the exact same message hours/days later. This has happened from multiple contacts, and I'm not sure if it is my phone doing this, or theirs, or possibly they're resending it on accident.
I know that if it's on their end, there's nothing I can do about it, but I am curious if this has ever happened to anyone else and has been caused by their mobile device.
Sorry if this is a ridiculous thing to ask.

NOT A bad question you need to call it in. May be your phone, may be the network, may be the other phone. Only way to know is have tech look at it.
