Probably Covered but PLEASE help

I am scanned very old pictures into my ipad to resore using the new touch app. When I pinch and zoom to work on specific portions of the picture afterwards I zoom out and I have lost the rest of the picture.
I have tried just using the up/down left/right arrow to move around but I must pinch/zoon in order to get that fine detail
All I want to do is be able to keep the entire picture zoomed in and be able to work on it without loosing any portions of it. Can someone please help!

In order to be able to help you I need to ask some questions to be able to understand the issue you are experiencing.
When you say that you have lost the rest of the picture - what do you exactly mean?
Does the picture disappear and never comes back?
When it's saved - have you lost data?
Do you use a bluetooth keyboard when you speak of arrows?

I'm not sure how to explain this but PLEASE HELP! ...

okay so I'm not quite sure if anyone is going to understand what I'm talking about...
But for some reason when someone adds me to skype (sends me a request) it says "Hi, White Asian!... so and so wants to add you.. blahblah etc." It says something other than my current user name, or my current display name, or my first and last name. I have know idea why it says this. I've had skype for a long time now and several years ago I believe that I changed my display name to "White Asian" as a joke. It hasn't been that for a long time now and I have no idea why it shows up like that when someone sends me a request on skype. I've tried changing every possible thing to do with a name in the profile/user settings to no avail. THe only time it shows up (that I'm aware of) is when someone adds me.
So if you have any idea how I can fix this or why it's happening please let me know immediately!
Its driving me mad because I don't know how to fix this!

I know I am asking for a lot, but I've been sitting over this for hours and can't crack it.
I got these two tables

I am trying to create a function that would give me owed amount for delayed delivery per order. Companies have 30 days to deliver the goods, otherwise they pay penalty 1% of order price for each day of delay.
I cooked up this and it's giving me results only in case there is one row per order in orders table. Like this:

but the moment there is more than one row in orders (like below) I execute the function and get the error message - ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows

Okay so this question isn't about games, but under the category iPod, this was the only one that had the option to post a new topic. Seriously
It seems the issues with my iPod are endless. It freezes. It clicks and gives me a sad face. It restarts. It freezes. It restores and erases everything. It freezes. It is driving me insane. So I went to this link http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60983 that talks about restoring and updating your iPod and it says you have to plug into your computer to restore it, or whatever. But I can't do anything without it clicking and sad face-ing. I can't put it on the charger (so I don't know if the battery is dead or not), and I can't plug connect it to the USB cable to connect it to the computer. It just clicks and whirs and gives me a sad face.
It is kind of old so maybe it's just time to get a new one. Somebody please rescue me, I'me losing my mind with this thing.

Just FYI - the forums all have a "Post New topic" button but you have to hit on the subcategory under the main one. This one doesn't have a subcategory.

This is a dumb question but please help me anyway!

I have been asked to take a class to learn to teach AP Computer Science. I was very excited to do this and was told that I didn't need prior programming knowledge to be successful. I got my first set of assignments and there are no instructions. There are just some simple programs for me to create. I went online and tried to do the best I could. I've got the first one working ok but the second one keeps giving me errors. I'm going to post what I've written below. If you have any help to offer me, please do! I'm just getting ready to start my very first semester in college, and its time for me to buy a laptop. Here are some of my concerns, hopefully somebody on here can help me decide on which one to get, i'm looking to go buy one tomorrow!
Pros and Cons about getting a MBP vs. MBA?
If i don't use the cd drive, and end up getting a MBA, can it handle just as much memory as the MBP?
What else can somebody tell me? Best battery life, best screen resolution, my spending limit is right about 1600...

True. But do you need that much? Find out. Because given clouds, given what people keep on phones, on-line, on external drives, you may not need as much as you think. My point being, don't panic about space unless you know you really need plenty of it--and need everything on tha laptop at all times. And keep in mind that 8gb RAM (for MBA--definately go for that) with SSD is going to be very fast indeed compared to a regular HD. Also, you can put more on SSD than on an HD.

(1) Find out how much HD you need. Really need minimum for what you're studying and going to be doing. If you really need lots of HD, then it's decided. Go Pro. If you don't need as much as you thought, then MBA is still in the running.
(2) Play on both. What's most important is that you love your computer. If you love your computer, you'll enjoy working on it. If you don't like your computer, you won't enjoy working on it. The two have different feels--pick the up, weigh them, type on them. The computers may make the decision for you.

My SSD probably died, but any help is appreciated just in case

I have an Asus Zenbook with a "hybrid" drive, that is, it has a 24GB SSD and a 500GB HDD. The HDD holds the UEFI-part, /boot, swap and /home while the SSD is /.
Today, I started to get strange "Input/Output error"-messages for any command that wasn't already in memory; for example, "ls" would work as I had used it previously, "dmesg" wouldn't. I tried to shutdown the laptop properly, but that wouldn't work,
Now when I try to boot the laptop, it takes ages to get to either the BIOS or grub2. BIOS sees the SSD on a separate SATA channel, but when I try to boot with grub I get a few "COMRESET failed errno=-16" messages, after it tells me it cannot find /dev/disk/by-uuid/$UUID-OF-ROOT-DRIVE. I can continue from there, but obviously without a working root it fails.
I'm typing this from a Ubuntu USB stick - /dev/sda* is there (the HDD) and everything seems to be in order. /dev/sdb(1) is there are well, that's the USB stick. There's also /dev/sdc (no numbers), but trying to run cfdisk on it returns "FATAL ERROR: Cannot open disk drive" while gparted says "Error opening /dev/sdc: No medium found".
So I'm guessing the drive is dead, as strage as it is (this laptop is only a few months old), but any ideas how to fix it if possible are more than welcome.

Sorry, that really doesn't apply. The laptop worked fine for a few months, now it just seems that /dev/sdc (well, that'd be /dev/sdb if I didn't run from USB) is gone/nonfunctional. That, and the fact that it takes like a minute to get to the BIOS or grub tells me that it's probably time to take it back to the shop.

Might sound like a newbie question but please help! (WRT610N)

I purchased the WRT610N to replace my old WRT54G. I like the router overall, but I am running into glich after glich. I figured out most of them up to this point, but now I'm running out of ideas. Before the firmware upgrade release on 1-21-09 I was able to access my USB storage drive via hostname on my local network. For example any shares on my local network show up under my workgroup in windows Vista/XP (mixed enviornment). Now after the firmware update no matter what I do if I want to access my shares I have to type \\myroutersip\myshare. I have gotten so used to just going to my network places and and selecting WRT610N (which was the hostname) entering my predefined password,and accessing my share. How do I fix this? I thought about enabling/editing the hostfile, but I should not have to do that (at least I didn't before). If anyone knows how to accomplish this please reply. TIA

There is no such settings your router, which will disable your access to the Drive by the Host name.If you have any Firewall or Antivirus you can disable it and try accessing your Drive with the Host name.May be you can try one settings on your router, Login to your router setup page, click on the Storage Tab and Below you need to click on the Sub tab "Media Server" and Enable "UPnP Media Server" and click on Save Settings. I think this might solve your problem.

The axiom 49 is a bit different. At this time I realize there is no template, but I'm having a hard time getting the midi learn to work at all. All that seems to happen is the volume switches from one slider to the next....but controls the same parameter as before.

i don't understand but try selecting midi click in the arrange then using the environment to open and select the plug-in/instrument parameters you want to learn.

ok. I am very computer illiterate and a new ipod user. It seems I cannot figure out how to "send" my 5th generation/video ipod MUSIC LIBRARY to the I-tunes library on my second computer ( i tried to make a playlist but it won't allow). I have downloaded all software from the ipod into both computers, but I cannot seem to get my ipod library onto my ibookG4 itunes library. Make sense? When you all are done laughing at this newbie, it would be great if someone could explain how I do this? It seems there should be a way to save my ipod onto this laptop? thank you very much

Well don't laugh too hard because I Had the same problem but with a Windows
technically its illegal to do that but there is a legitimate way to get around it
What you have to do is enable disk mode on your fifth generation iPod
and it acts as a huge storage device
Then Just copy all the music files into the disk mode
and take them off on your laptop
Just Make sure you don't sync or restore your iPod

my mighty mouse scroll ball has stopped working... well mainly. it wasnt working great so i cleaned it as i always do and instead, asperusual it would work its stopped working except on some games it does work kind of? but basically ive cleaned it and the scroll ball no longer works, is there anything i can do or is it a gonner?

my mouse became not so mighty too and i couldnt scroll down. i cleaned it like crazy with no results. it was under applecare so i called up apple and i had a new one in three days (fast since i live on the opposite coast). they included a postage paid label and the box was reusable. the only catch is if they dont receive the defective mouse back they will bill your credit card full price. they made it very easy. make sure you try to clean it and it is definately broken before sending it back but sometimes cleaning wont work and you could clean it till the ball falls off to no avail!

You mean like a directory listing?
That gets set in the configuration of your web server. If you're running the server yourself on your own computer, then check its documentation or look at a forum, FAQ, or newsgroup for that server.
If the web server is something that your ISP or other third party is providing, and you just upload pages, then chances are you're out of luck. It's possible that this would be an option in whatever configuration page(s) they offer you, but my uninformed guess would be no.

Is that jar file uncorrupted?
You have a lot of dependent environment variables in your launch script. Are they being expanded correctly. Is the resultant path to said jar file correct?
