Probelms printing email messages in Outlook Express

After an automatic Firefox update I can no longer print the message part for Outlook Express 6 email. Only the header (e.g. To/From) prints. I have an HP Office Jet all-in-one printer. I updated my Firefox version and the problem remained.

  • Recently installed parallels on my iMac and created email account in outlook express where all my emails now are but have gone from my mail on the mac

    I have recently installed parallels on my Macbook and created my existing email account within outlook express which has all emails but by doing this it has removed all emails from Mail on the Macbook. I don't won't to delete from outlook then find I have lost them forever. I'm just trying to find out how I can get them back to their original place in Mail.
    Any help would be great.

    Hello,
    If has more than one account, the Inbox icon, for example, should have a black triangle if the accounts have been correctly added via the assistant. If that triangle is pointing sideways, then he clicks on it, it should turn downward, and reveal the Inbox for each account. If he does not have but the one account, then the Inbox should be that of the AOL account. Same with Sent Drafts, etc.
    If the triangle beside Inbox reveals other folders such as Sent Items, click to open that, and then click Mailbox in the menubar, place cursor on Use this Mailbox for and choose Sent.
    AOL is IMAP access, so can be tricky. The folders under AOL lower in the Sidebar are for other archiving. AOL only allows messages to stay in the Inbox and Sent folder for 27 days, and then you must Move the messages to the Saved folder to keep longer on the server. Of course, various On My Mac mailboxes can be created to save messages, and those will be on the hard drive of his Mac.
    In Mail 2.x and OS 10.4.10 there is no longer a separator for On My Mac in the Sidebar, but is with 10.3.x and Mail 1.3.x
    This may or may not be such a good idea to have switched him without being in front of his computer to provide some instruction

  • How do I set up my iPad so that I can recieve the emails from my Outlook Express account

    How do I set up my iPad so that I can recieve the emails from my Outlook Express account

    Your iPad doesn't receive email from Outlook Express (or any other email client).  It receives email from your email provider.  To set up your email account on your iPad go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap Add Account and add your email provider's account settings with your username and password.  iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail email settings are automatically entered by tapping the appropriate button.  Others must be manually entered by tapping Other.  (Exchange accounts will also require you to enter your email provider's settings.)

  • Cannot receive message in Outlook Express

    I recently (for the first time) accessed my ISP's e-mail service. Since then I have been unable to receive messages in Outlook Express although I can send them. When I check for new messages I do get a connection but no new messages. Some of my messages are diverting to my ISP provider's e.mail service. I have checked all my account settings etc for OE and they look fine. It was all working perfectly before. Any ideas, help would be appreciated.

    Hi to all
    Well, the Outlook express is a part of the Windows OS and if you want to reinstall it you need an original Microsoft Windows CD. The delivered Toshiba recovery CD proffers only the whole OS image. In this case its not possible to install only the Outlook Express. You have to recover the whole OS.
    I know its not the optimal solution. You can try to use the system restore tool. Then you can roll back the OS to the early point.
    But if it doesnt help, the recovery procedure is the last chance.

  • Font size when printing email messages

    Having chosen a larger font for viewing email messages, is there a way to avoid printing email messages in the larger font, but rather print in the default font?

    HI RRW21,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums.   I understand that when trying to print an email from your iPad to your Deskjet 3512 that the email prints with a large-sized font.
    The size of the font is controlled by the email program and its font settings.  Apple’s AirPrint feature and HP’s ePrint app don’t have the ability to modify the font.  To modify the font please ask the email sender to modify it in any future emails or forward the email to yourself and modify the font before pressing Send.  I have included Apple’s About AirPrint and the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ documents for your reference.

  • Improper rendering of forwarded message in Outlook Express

    I am not able to view forwarded mail (not properly rendered) in Outlook
    Express although in Microsoft Outlook, it views fine. The forwarded
    message is not shown as an email message but instead as a file
    attachment which can be saved to file. Any pointers to why Outlook
    Express renders it like that?
    I have copied below the code and the message.
    The following code is being used to create the forwarded message:
    String subject = oldMsg.getSubject(); //oldMsg is the MimeMessage to be forwarded.
    MimeMultipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
    MimeBodyPart bp = new MimeBodyPart();
    bp.setContent( "", "text/plain" );
    mp.addBodyPart( bp );
    MimeMessage msg = new MimeMessage( mailSession );
    msg.setFrom( from );
    MimeBodyPart bp = new MimeBodyPart();
    bp.setContent( oldMsg, "message/rfc822" );
    bp.setFileName( "forward.cpm" );
    mp.addBodyPart( bp );
    msg.setContent( mp ); // add Multipart
    msg.saveChanges(); // generate appropriate headers
    The message is getting created as follows:

    My question is
    1. Where can I find host name for reading email from Microsoft Exchange server?
    2. Could you give me an example of such a server?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Can I import 5 years of email from Win Outlook Express to Apple Mail?

    This looks like a large problem.
    I'm trying to import 5 yrs worth of email, all categorized in sub-directories within the WIN version of Outlook Express 6, into the current version of Apple Mail.
    Can this be done? If so, how?
    While Outlook Express is listed on the import panel of Apple Mail, I believe it means the Mac version of OE from MS Office 4. I have that, but it's not installed.
    Could I install it, somehow import the WIN OE 6 mail into that, and THEN import into Apple Mail?
    Or is there (we live in hope) an easier way?
    1000 thanks!

    You may use O2M, or you may import your mail into Thunderbird on the PC, then use Eudora Mailbox Cleaner to import that into Apple’s Mail.

  • Importing messages from Outlook Express on a PC to Mail

    I just spent a long time looking through posts to find a way to do this, and still had difficulties, until finding this link:
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20040325164915651
    on one of the posts.
    Actually it is simpler than described on that link, presumably because it's a couple of years old and the software has improved.
    All you need to do now is Copy-Paste all the emails from each OE folder into a new folder you create on your desktop (OE lets you do this. So you make an Inbox folder, Sent folder, etc). Copy those folders over from PC to Mac (eg using a Fat32 formatted external drive) , then drag & drop those files one folder at a time into a Subfolder that you create in Entourage. (ie you make a new Inbox, Sent etc subfolder) Then Mail will import these folders from Entourage by itself using Import.
    You need to have Entourage (part of Office) to do this.
    cheers

    Since you have a new Mac, you can create a .Mac trial account for free which is good for 60 days I believe.
    A .Mac type account with Apple's Mail application is really an IMAP account and behaves in the same way.
    When creating a .Mac account with the Mail.app, the default account type provided is .Mac but you can also select IMAP or POP as the account type.
    You can create a .Mac account as an IMAP or POP account with a different email client on a Mac or Windows PC.
    After creating your .Mac trial account as a .Mac or IMAP account with Mail on your Mac, you can create the account as an IMAP account with Outlook Express on your Windows PC.
    After doing so, copy messages from the POP account's Inbox mailbox to .Mac account's Inbox mailbox and the same for the POP account's Sent mailbox to your .Mac account's Sent mailbox.
    Launch Mail on your Mac and these messages will be available in your .Mac account's Inbox mailbox and Sent mailbox.
    Create two "On My Mac" location mailboxes in Mail - one for transferred Inbox messages and one for the transferred Sent messages.
    Transfer these messages from your .Mac account's Inbox mailbox and Sent mailbox to the appropriate user created "On My Mac" mailboxes which are stored locally on the hard drive. This process will save the transferred messages locally on the hard drive and remove the messages from the server at the same time.
    A .Mac trail account has limited server storage space so if the Inbox mailbox and Sent mailbox for this POP account in OE on your PC exceeds the server storage limit for a .Mac trail account, you must do this in stages and although this may sound involved, it really isn't and overall is probably the easiest and fastest way to do so.

  • Copying/saving email folders in Outlook Express to somewhere else

    When I upgraded my G4 from Classic to OS X, I couldn't figure out how to move the email I'd saved in folders in Outlook Express. Besides several years of emails from my kids, there are other folders I'd like to keep. I'm now giving the computer to a friend and want to have those folders of email. How do I do that? I am keeping a powerbook that still has Classic on it. I have a new Intel iMac. Or ideally I could burn them to a CD. I can't figure out how to get them out of Outlook Express to move them anywhere at this point.
    Thanks!
    G4   Mac OS 9.2.x

    Jane, hello.
    I think you can simply drag and drop them out to a folder you have made (or allocated) on your desktop.
    ie. In Outlook Express, select one email (it can be any email) as it is listed in your Inbox, then go to the menu bar and choose Edit > Select All (command key + A) ... the files will become highlighted (blue on mine) ... then drag the files out to the empty folder you made on your desktop. The folder will highlight (darken) when it is ready to accept the files. Of course, the same process will work for your Outbox, or Drafts etc.
    This website seems to focus on the functionality of Outlook Express, maybe there is some useful advice here:
    http://www.macoptions.com/oe/newuser2.htm
    You can compact the database and what not, but I would do all that when you have saved your files to your desktop.
    Hey, I am not as computer savvy as some of the other members –maybe someone will have a better idea– but what I outlined is what works for me.
