Problem about Valuation Type For MRP

Dear all,
I am managing our materials by valuation type.
But, when I run MRP for these materials, I do not know which specific about valuation type.
Can you help me?
Thanks all
TINDT

As per my best knowledge in standard system you cannot force MRP to manage (plan) your goods based on valuation type.
In case of configurable materials you can do separate planning:

  • Separate Doc.Type for MRP generated PRs

    Dear All
We are facing an issue with MRP process where we want to automate the process from MRP run to PO creation.
In source list we will add the existing contracts and make it relevant to MRP so that after MRP run we will get source (vendor defined in the contract) assigned purchase requisitions. After that, we will create a background job for ME59n in order to get the POs automatically after MRP run.
In this process we are facing issue with the auto PO generation through ME59n as funds management (FM) related parameters such as Fund and Fund center need to be enetered manually at the time of PO creation in our system. So in order to avoid this manual entry we want to define FM derivation which automatically populate the fund & fund center in the MRP generated PRs.
Further, we have two options for FM derivation one is valuation class and the second one is Document type. If we define the FM derivation based on the valuation class we cannot only restrict to MRP generated PRs. Second option is separate document type for MRP generated PRs.
Please provide pros and cons regarding the creation of new document type for MRP. Also, please provide your suggestions or any work arounds for the above discussed scenario. Your inputs are highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi nagaraj
it makes sense . i will explore and tell you.
what about your source assignment standard program. hope it will assign source of supply if it is a valid unique source of supply else it will assign eprofile to your purcase request. check with technical resource how the satndard program behaves.
i will also explore my side again. check mm forum too on your purchase organisation assignment for your userexists.
    one question to you.
when you create a PR for material and go to source of supply .why do we get many fixed vendors like contracts, info record if we have valid fixed vendors as sap ecc standard.but in my PR i may not have Purchase organisation information.

    Hi
You can set different MRP doc.type:  purchase requisitions for standard purchase order /  purchase requisition for subcontracting / purchase requisition for subcontracting  at MRP group level
Using transaction OPPR u2013 Select plant u2013 Select/create MRP group  under External procurement screen click on Scheduling/doc type.
And make sure that in material master u2013MRP1 view you are maintaining this MRP grp.

  • Valuation type for two account category reference

    Hi Experts
    I created valuation type for
    1)     DOMESTIC & IMPORT with account category reference 0001 (for raw material)
it is applicable only with ROH material type.
    2)     Same Valuation type DOMESTIC & IMPORT system donu2019t allow to create for other account category reference 0003 ( it is for ZESS spares)
Here requirement is material type ROH & ZESS need to DOMESTIC purchase and IMPORT purchase. hence both material type need DOMESTIC & IMPORT  valuation type How to solve this?
    karan

Assign both the valuation class to the account category reference. And then assign both the material types to the same account category reference.
You can assign multiple valuation class to an Account Category Reference.
A valuation class can only be assigned to only one account category reference
Only ONE account category reference can be assigned to a material type
where as multiple Material Types can be assigned to a account category reference.
    Hope this helps!!

  • Valuation Type for Material

    Hey Guys,
How do we check whether split activation is activated for the material. And if its activated, how do we configure it?
    Thanks  a bunch

    Hi Ryan
    1. to check if split valuation is activated
please use the T code OMW0
here you can see if the split valaution is acatiavte in you system
    2. for the material you can go to T code then in MM60 reprot you can see the different valuation types ( or split valuation types )
for configuration of split valaution please refer below

  • How can we change the valuation type for a material created.

How can we change the valuation type for a material created.
Note : All open orders are closed for this material.3
    Please guide

    Hi,
You can change valuation class, or you can set valuation category for your material master. If valuation category is set you can extend your material master and in this way creating records for different valuation types.
Please try to set the desired changes in your mmr (MM02) > save > SAP will give you error message > push 'Display error' button and you will see what conditions must be eliminated to carry out the change.
    - you are not allowed to have open transactional data
    - no stock in the current and previous period (using proper posting date in MB1A + 201 you can reduce your stock level to 0, and after that you can set it back by MB1A + 202)
    - in case of valuation category setting batch archiving may be necessary

  • Can i create demand with respect to valuation type for a material in MRP

    hI,
is ther any way to create demand for a material ith respect to vaulation type.
tha means i want to give a demand for a material during a particular period
saying that i want to produce the same material with this vaulation type 200 quantity and another valuation type 300 quantity. will the MRPplan separately.
is ther any provesion for it
    thanks
    regards
    madan

    Dear Mr.Madan,
    This is not possible.
MRP has nothing to do with Valuation type.
Valuation class has the following functions
Allows the stock values of materials of the same material type to be posted to different G/L accounts.
Allows the stock values of materials of different material types to be posted to the same G/L account.
Determines together with other factors the G/L accounts updated for a valuation-relevant transaction (such as a goods movement).
MRP considers the demand given,MRP type, lot size, procurement type and the stocks available.
But what do u want to capture exactly?

  • PO Valuation Type for Vendor Evaluation

    Dear Gurus
I want to ask, can the Vendor evaluation program in SAP check the Purch.Order up to Valuation type ?

    Hi Piyush,
Your answer is correct. Val type does not come from info record to MRP created PRs, even there is a fixed vendor in the PR, coming from source list.
But, this happens in the PO, that val type is an obligatory field, for a split valuated material.
In PR, it can only be maintained manually, I guess.

  • Problem in valuation type in STO

We are using STO w/o delivery for stock transfer between plants of same c/code. We are using split valuation (say val. types X, Y, Z) for some materials. While preparing STO, we can change valuation types.
Our ERP team had applied some patches of Inventory management.
    Before applying patches:
We were not able to change the valuation types during 351 (at supplying plant) as well as 101 (at receiving plant). So there was no problem in documentation.
    After applying patches:
Suppose STO is having val. type X. While issueing material thru 351, user finds column of valuation type as BLANK. So he puts val. type Y. System doesn't check val. type at this level and user is able to post the document. While preparing GR for this STO, val. type is
defaulted from STO and can't be edited. Hence user can't post the document due to difference in valuation type.
I had forwarded the problem to our ERP Team and did not get the solution till date.
What can be possible causes for the same and what is the solution?

  • Valuation Type for material proposed in PR

    Hello,
For a material with valuation category for split valuation, and purchase requisitions created from MRP through reorder point, I have niticed that when there is a source list with a fixed vendor, and an info record with this vendor, that contains a valuation type, this valuation type is not transferred to the relevant field in the PR (Purch Requisition), when PR is generated from MRP. Also , the info record info is not filled in the MRP-created PR, but only the fixed vendor.
So, is it so that the valuation type is not coming from the info record, in this case? Is it manually, the only way to fill up the valuation type in the Purch requisition?
Obviously, valuation type is later maintained in the PO phase, but I was wondering which are the possibilities in the PR.
Anyone that has knowledge, on that, will be welcome.

  • Default PR type for MRP (planned order -- PR)

    Hi Expert,
Is there any posibility to set default PR type for planned order - PR conversion from MRP?
in SAP standard, PR type is NB, we have configured specific PR type, let say PRM. The purpose is we do not need to change NB to PRM while converting the planned order into PR.
    Pls help.Thanks
    Rgds,

    Hi Gurus,
This is my first post in this forum. Have been trying to search this forum for my case all day and found some answers but when i implemented it in my SAP , the answers didn't work.
    The case is:
When i try to convert Planned Order to PR through tcode MD15/MD16, the system will propose PR Document Type NB as default. In my company we don't use that NB PR type. We have another 10 customized PR Type and one of them is for Replenishment. I'd like to set this ZR09(Replenishment) PR Type as default and it's not possible to choose another PR Type.
I have read several answers and implemented them, for example:
    1. OPPR with MRP Group 000, and I found no indicator except Scheduling/Doc Type. I typed ZR09 in field Doc Type SPO but in MD15/MD16 other PR Types still appear with NB as default.
    2.  SPRO-MM- Consumption based planning u2013Procurement Proposal u2013 Define Order Profile or SPRO-PRoduction - MRP- Procurement Proposal - Planned Order - Define order Profile, when creating new entries with Object Type Planned Order/PR still canu2019t find my customize PR Type in field Order Type. Field Order Type only consist of 2 digits order type such as NB,LA,RS,KD,KB,PE,PR,VP. No place to choose PR Type ZR09 or other customized PR Type.
    Can anyone help my case?
    Thanks and regards,

  • Defaulting batch and valuation type for a specific division for tcode me21n

    Hi
I would like to default the valuation type and batch for a specific division while creating the PO.
Kindly let me know if there is any user exit for this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Bhagya

    Hi .
Actually my requirement is while you are creating PO, the value say 'ABC' must be defaulted both in Batch and valuation type  but when change that to 'DEF' it should allow you.. means you should be able to modify the batch and valuation type fields. I can be kept empty also.
I tried using field exit to default Batch and valuation type, but it does not work if the batch is empty.
If I use the BADI you mentioned what are import and export parameters and how do I code to meet my requirement.
    Kindly let me know.
I will definitely reward points if it works.
    Thanks in advance
