Problem adding video content

Hi,
I am using Acrobat 8 on Windows XP.
I am trying to link a video that has been uploaded to our server to a page in my PDF that I want to post online. I have tried several different files, but keep getting the same error message: "Cannot create the movie annotation because the movie could not be loaded. This can occur if the file cannot be found or the URL is unreachable."
I have tested the link directly in a browser and it does work.
The file I am trying to link to is a .mov file... could that be the problem? Are there file size limitations?
I am at a loss on trying to get this to work and really need to find a solution. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

I only use the Link tool on the play button, to play the movie.
I need the movie file placed on the page and then when the Play button is clicked, the associated movie would play.
I am using the movie tool to place the movie on the page.
Then the Add Movie dialog appears. This is where you specify the Location of the video.
You should be able to specify the direct path to the server (e.g. http/www.xxxx.com/etc.)
When I do this I get the error message that it can't find the URL (therefore no video is placed on the page), but if I type the link directly in the browser, the video will play, so I know that the link is correct.
Maybe I'm just not getting it?

Problem adding Video to Captivate Slide

Hi,
I'm having a problem adding an FLV video file to Captivate. Basically, after I've published to a SWF file, the video doesn't appear on the slide at all. It's just blank.
After researching a bit, I found that the FLV file MUST include *metadata*.
However, I added medatada with VLC Media Player, and it still shows the same behavior. Must it include a certain *amount* of metadata? Is there a *type* of metadata without which the video will not show?
Adobe's Help thread talks about something called the "Flash Video Kit" - is that a stand alone product or an extension of another product? Is it free? Are there any other free alternatives?

I ended up answering my own question. But just in case this helps anyone else, I'm going to post my solution.
Essentially, I just re-created the video in MP4 format. Then I used MetaZ (for Mac) to write Meta Data to the video. Lastly, I imported the video as an object and when I published the video, Captivate transmuted it to the necessary FLV format.
Now the video displays properly.

Problems watching video content on internet

ive lately experienced real problem trying to watch video content like bbc news. i dont know what the issue is. im using the latest real player and mac os is upto date. even in firefox im having the same issue. any suggestions as to why and are others experiencing the same problem?

The BBC videos are playing for me as well- on both my intel & ppc os10.4.9

Are you using any plug ins that may be interfering with realplayer?

Do the BBC vids, play in a test or other user account?
If you don't have an other user account create a fresh test account.
Under the Blue Apple -> System Preferences /Accounts/ Login Options
Click on padlock to unlock secure Items,
Click the [+] to create the account, for ease you could enter test in all the fields, as you may know, the short name will be generated for you.
If you'ld like to utilize "Fast switcher', {so you don't have to log in & out] click on Login Options, and follow through,
Helps to know if this is system wide or isolated to your user name account.

Problem adding a Content Presenter in a Panel Customizable

I've created a Webcenter page template and specified Three panelCustomizable components under a pageCustomizable. In fact, i want to have three consistent customizable columns in my page template. The problem is, when adding a contentPresenter in edit mode to one of these panelCustomizable, it does not work correctly. It doesn't show the content add toolbar. In my log, i've a the following exception :
java.lang.IllegalStateException: The expression "#{bindings.rbipyXViYPx1.regionModel}" (that was specified for the RegionModel "value" attribute of the region component with id "oc_6020088695region1") evaluated to null.
This is typically due to an error in the configuration of the objects referenced by this expression.
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings.rbipyXViYPx1}" evaluates to "null".
If it helps, the expression "#{bindings}" evaluates to "com_mhis_portal_MH_Template_HomePagePageDef". Now using an empty RegionModel instead.

I realized that a content presenter works correctly when it is added to a panelCustomizable that was added in a facet in the page file *(not facet ref in the page template, but the facet in the page*).
I tried then to add the panelCustomizable to the facet ref in the page template but it seems that jDeveloper doesn't like that !
Is there any way to have a panelCustomizable component in the page template that enable adding correctly a content presenter in edit mode ?

I know this document but it explains how to do a ODBC driver with Oracle. I have SQL Server 2005, but I don't know if my problem is with these...
My problem is that when I go to import my database I can import all my database not one single table...so..the first time that I have to create a repository works fine for me...but when I want to add a new table in my repository I have to import all database again and overwriting all my old tables (whole diagram, names...etc..)
I would like to see structure of my database when I go to import database...

Problem viewing video-content folders in Adobe Bridge

Hi there.
I have problem browsing folders inside Adobe Bridge CS6. When I get into a folder that contains files that are not just images, Adobe Bridge would not responding and would have to be closed. With the folders contains only images I have no freezing issue and Adobe Bridge run very fast and normal. I usually store images and videos inside the same folder on my image-video albums. I am running windows 8.1 on my laptop computer. I have selected several files with diverse formats inside a test folder each time to check if the program is able to represent the folder or not. I choose a mp4 file inside an image album and it did not response. I replaced mp4 with a ts video file, a wma (audio) file and a docx file (Microsoft word) to see if Bridge can show the folder or not. Only in case of Microsoft word file the program worked but with the mouse indicator twinkling. Is there any solution to the problem? Should I use a newer version of PS to overcome this drawback?

Even the latest versions of Photoshop do not support all types of video files, only some.

Problem adding video's

hi,
here's the thing. I'm kind of an anime enthousiast and collector. So this means i have full series/seasons of several anime shows.
Most of the time when i'm adding them to iTunes it works like a charm. But lately I've been having some problems.
If I try to add a batch episodes from a certain show (by dropping them in the "Auto add to iTunes" folder) it will add most of them to iTunes, but will put others in a "not added" folder.
All the files are the same format (.mp4) and have the same names (except for an episode number) I got all the files from the same location so I presume they were all converted with the same settings.
I hope you guys can help.

I just installed Premiere CS4 Pro...
And now I got the following question:
I had got a Video which I wanted to edit, but when I Imported it, the 10 minutes Video is 10 minutes long, but with 1 minute contant
That means ca. every 10-15 seconds is one frame, and thats over 10 minutes.
I don't know what to do so please help me

It is not your English that is lacking. It is the basic info on your source material, the codec, the version, full or trial, the OS, etc. that prevents us from helping you.

Problems adding videos to my SLVR L7

I was wondering how I could get videos to run with my Cingular SLVR L7 itunes. I have converted the files to mpeg4 but still can't get itunes to transfer them to my phone and clicking and dragging directly to the phone just puts the file there and doesn't read it when I check under "videos". Please help I'm going crazy, I've been at this for about 2 weeks. Customer service just keeps telling my to click and drag.

Have you converted the video file that you want to transfer to your iPod into the appropriate format?
Here is a tutorial showing how to use QuickTime 7 Pro to perform the conversion.
Third-party utilities are available that also perform the conversion.

Okay, so here's a question from a new to mac guy. Many issues on old PC with real player and Media Player not getting along. Eventually had to delete real player and had to reinstall windows. I would like to avoid third party software if possible and stick with Quicktime. How do I install the mime plug in without installing Real Player?

I have placed audio and video into InDesign. I did it just exactly the way this video told me. Everything works well in the preview panel. However, when I exported it to EPUB, the file of the EPUB is so small (I guess, it should have been larger because I had added video and audio file into it). Plus, When I open it in EPUB reader (ibook) and Adobe Digital Edition, It shows nothing.
What I want to do is to create an EPUB which contains image, and sound. I want to make the image as a button which plays sound when I click it. I did it by setting he button to play when clicked, but again, it is not showing at all when published to EPUB.
I hope that there will be a good solution to this matter.

Problem with adding Videos in itunes

Can someone please please help me!
Ever since i upgraded to the latest version of itunes I started encountering problems/difficulties in adding videos in itunes library. All the videos that I'm trying to upload are in the correct file format (mpeg4/mp4). I tried adding using Add File to Library, Add Folder to library and even Import..nothing happens..no prompt that its uploading. In the end can't add any video.
I tried doing this using my PC and my laptop and i still encounter the same problem so I can say that th problem is not on my computers.

Unfortunately that is not all that uncommon for the Early Intel iMac's given there age and the fact that the air intakes are probably choked with dust. Then add the extra heat caused by running a more intense OS X which is causing it to run a little warmer than normal and putting extra stress on the graphic and display components.
My 6½ year old 17" Early 2006 Core Duo w/2GB of RAM is also running 10.6.8 and is also starting to get a single line that (knock on wood) goes away after a few minutes, while many others started getting permanent ones after 2 or 3 years. One thing that I think has helped, is that about every 3 or 4 months I shutdown and vigorously vacuum out the bottom grill work and small vent under the stand to keep it running cool.
On that note: unfortunately I can only suggest that you clean your intake vents and hope that no permanent or irreversible damage has been done.

Video content download problems

For the last one week or so, I am having problem downloading video. This is what happens:
1. It goes through the download, completely.
2. Then it say "processing file"
3. At this point, it starts up the whole process of downloading all over again.
I am not having this problem with video podcasts, only TV movie, it seems.

I can't say for sure that this will help, but try upgrading to iTunes 7.1.1, which is the most current version, and see if that improves matters.

Problems with watching video content in Safari

After updat to Lion, I have problems watching video conent on webpages with Safari. On some pages it doesn't work at all while at other it stops intermittently. I have tested same pages with Chrome without having problems. Who can help with this annoying problem.
In addition there is an involuntary zoom while reading page in Safari
WhileI am typing in text or Safari ther is also an involuntary switch to in finder there is an involuntary to Launchpad.
Does anybody else encounter similar problems, and if so how did you solve this?

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that flash is more hassle than
it's worth. It's just so unbelievable to me that such a widely used
technology on the Web still has no way to be used in a validated
XHTML document! It's really quite absurd actually! I tried
uploading my original flash heading (without the satay method that
is) and it looks fine in Safari. The down side is that all my pages
now contain errors when I try to validate them as XHTML 1.0 Strict.
I guess that unless someone can help with another alternative
to the satay method that actually works across all the main
browsers, I'm just going to have to have pages that won't validate.
How incredibly disappointing...
