Problem after Exporting File to PowerPoint

I've created a Self-Playing presentation in Keynote '08 (4.0.4). All transitions and delays work as intended. Saving and then playing it on my Mac shows no problem.
However, repeatedly, after saving the file and then exporting it to PowerPoint, trouble recurs. I attach the newly exported .pps file to my Mail app and send myself a test post.
When my Mail opens and I double-click the attached .pps file, the transition delays are much shorter than originally set.
For example, having set a delay of 7.5 seconds before it transitions to the next slide, the new .pps presentation allows that slide only 2 full seconds before the next slide appears. This happens again and again.
I've downloaded the latest 4.0.4 app but find no resoluton to this predicament.
Pleeeze help. I'm facing a Christmas deadline. Thanks very much.

Although I've missed my Christmas deadline for this project, I'm still eager to learn how to resolve this issue with Keynote '08, v. 4.0.4. The "exporting to PhotoShop" action fails to retain the assigned delay period for each slide, causing each of the slides to advance prematurely. This happens repeatedly.
I'm not ready to upgrade to the newest version of Keynote (which appears to have a few ways to Save a Keynote file to PPT, as well as email the new PPT conversion).
Meanwhile, do you have a fix for my predicament?
If not, can you please tell me how to send my inquiry directly to an Apple tech support representative? (I no longer have an active AppleCare contract for my machine.)
Whichever way you can help, I'll thank you in advance.
Merry Christmas.

  • No thumbnails in finder/preview after exporting files as dng out of lightroom?

    Does anyone have experience sorting out the issue of no thumbnails in finder/preview after exporting files as dng out of lightroom?
    There are several conversations in the forum about this problem, but cant seem to find a solution.
    Anyone know how to sort this out?

    Thanks for your reply.
    Mac does support previewing dngs in finder and preview. This has not been a problem before (besides when using my fujufilm compact camera, which mac now has updated the Apple camera for).
    To answer your Q about dng files. Thats exactly what i do. I have work which involves communicating/transfering multiple lr -edited files to someone else whom further edits in ps. Not only that, I personally use dng as a way of storing my files. I suppose like to keep my files tidy and uniform.
    Any mac users out there who has a a solution to my issue with previewing dngs?

  • Hissing Noise Returns after Exporting files from Audition

    I have edited 40 wave files that had awful hissing in them for a project at work. I saved the files as I did them but when I went back to play them after exporting the hissing had returned to ALL the files! Is anyone else having this problem?

    When you say 'edited', what exactly did you do in the way of processing on these files? When I say exactly, I mean blow-by-blow; don't leave out any steps at all.

  • Audio sync problems after export

    I've been having this problem occasionally ever since starting to use Premiere Pro CS6, and it's now also happening again in the latest version of CC (just updated to 7.2.2 on W7, 64bit):
    A perfectly synced sequence that plays fine in its rendered preview loses sync with its audio (or the audio with the video) after exporting to mp4. (preset H.264 format). I have tried trouble shooting by deleting all render files, restarted application and computer, played with different media players... to no avail.
    Admittedly the raw footage happens to be a wmv file. Which I know is not ideal. But what bugs me is that everything is perfectly in sync up to the point of creating the export file. That makes no sense. I'm about to counteract this shift now by separating the audio from the video and making up the frame difference manually, but it feels wrong to do that and is a silly hack to something the software shouldn't mess up in the first place.
    Any ideas?

    Holy cow, that was easy. You were right, that worked. Doooh.
    Thanks.

  • Annoying problem after exporting to itunes

    Hi all,
    After exporting edited music files into itunes from garageband, there is a few seconds of silence at the end of each file. This is annoying to me because I like my music to change immediately after the last note has been played... Any ideas on how to fix this problem/limitation?
    Please note, the files were originally MP3's that I ripped from my personal CD collection. I do not have crossfade playback enabled in itunes.
    Thanks in advance,
    rawbertow789
    P.S. I searched the forums before posting this, but I could have missed something.

    Oh, man. This is the greatest!
    I have had a bunch of songs that have had front and back end silence or other crap that I wanted out and the way I did it was to export the whole thing to Itunes, then open that file in CD spin Doctor, create a track in that cutting the unwanted part(s), then re-save, then delete the original imported songs in Itunes....a very round about and time consuming way to do this.
    I have seen this option, but to me it seemed like the only function was to just repeat the GB song over again. It never occured to me that you could select a "section" and export that.
    This is terrific
    Thanks.

  • Can you help? -- Browser Webpage Loading Problems after Repairing File Permissions with Disk Utility

    Hello,
    I have been experiencing extremely slow startup times and slow application startup times for the past month on my 7-month old iMac.
    I read in many places, including the Apple communities, that "repairing file permissions" using the Mac Disk Utility would help. So I ran it and now all my browsers including Safari and Firefox will not load or take 5 to 10 minutes to load a webpage - especially websites that have login features (eg. Gmail, Facebook, Hotmail).
    As of my last re-start, Firefox will not load webpages and Safari is extremely slow at opening anything.
    Has this problem occured for anyone after "repairing file permissions"?
    And can anyone assist?
    Thank you,
    Shane

    The Solution?
    REINSTALL OSX using the Install DVD.
    I called APPLE Support and we went through a troubleshooting process to rule out Network Issues, Software Issues, File Issues and Hardware Issues. This process was very thorough.
    In the end, we used the Operating System Installation DVD to reinstall the system, which took about 60 minutes including downloading the updates. Reinstallation did not affect any files or lose any applications. Everything was as I left it -- nothing was missing. Easy.
    Now everything is back to normal.

  • Problem after exporting report to MS Excel

    Hello everyone,
    I'm exporting a report (SSRS report) to MS Excel, the problem is though the report gets exported fine but the area outside the report i.e. everything outside the columns and rows of the report remains blank there are no gridlines. But my requirement is to
    show the gridlines when the exported file is opened so that the user will not have to do anything extra for having the gridlines visible again.
    Please help me with this issue, I am using C# for developing the application.....
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi Aakash Kelkar,
    According to your description, the report works fine when you export it to excel, but the gridlines outside the report are missing. You want to keep the gridlines visible when the exported file is opened.
    According to my test, we can’t achieve your goal  directly use report designer. As a workaround, when open the exported file in excel, click View in toolbar, then check gridlines check box, the gridlines will be displayed. If the workaround doesn’t
    meet your requirements, i recommend you that submit the requirement at
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/ . If the requirement mentioned by customers for many times, the product team may consider to add this feature in the next SQL Server version. Your feedback is valuable for us to improve our products and increase
    the level of service provided.
    If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

  • Audio Sync problem after exporting

    App : Imovie
    Device : Ipad 2
    iOS : 4.3.3
    Rushes : MP4 from a FLIP camera
    Audio track : m4a
    The project is around 9 minutes. Sync ok in Imovie. After exporting, the sync is ok in the beginning but loosing it more and more as the movie goes.......i tried all the options on exporting, nothing changes. This is getting me mad......Any solutions ?

    I am assuming this is because the way the flip camera embeds the audio.
    The problem with editing non-iframe video is that it does not have all seperate frames.
    And so the audio is sync in blocks to video.
    I assume that the reason iMovie iOS is stated as only supporting video shot on an iOS device is that this video has a "standard" way to sync audio.
    There are many different ways to encode mp4s.
    Editing a non-Apple iOS standard video may give you these problems.
    So the only real solution I can give is to convert all your video to the same standard as the iPad shoots.
    You should tell Apple here, and ask for a fix:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/imovie_iOS.html
    And also email other editing app creators and ask them to port to the iPad.
    Then you will have more options to edit then just iMovie iOS.

  • Audio problems when exporting files from Premiere Pro CS5

    I try to post in English.
    I have audio problems in Premiere Pro CS5 when exporting a film.
    I cut an interview. The sound seems not to be synchronized when exporting a file. It doesn´t matter what file format I export. On cutting points the sound is different to the sound I hear in premiere. In premiere the audio sounds very good but in exported file I hear cracks on cutting points.
    When I reimport the audio file an put it in the timeline the synch point is correct but the interview differs about 2 frames to the original audio in premiere.
    The material was filmed on Sony ex3. The files are XDCam HD. I have updated the production suite.
    Thanks for answers
    Frieder

    Also, make sure that you check the box marked "Export Audio" if you want a MP4 extension.

  • Open an Exported File directly in Photoshop (after exported file created)

    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var destFolder = Folder ("~/Documents");
    if (destFolder) {
         var fileName = activeDocument.name;
        var destFile = new File(destFolder + '/' + fileName);
        var psdExportOptions = new ExportOptionsPhotoshop();
        // Set PSD export options
        psdExportOptions.saveMultipleArtboards = true;
        psdExportOptions.artboardRange = "1";
        psdExportOptions.antiAliasing = false;
        psdExportOptions.resolution = 300;
        psdExportOptions.embedICCProfile = false;
        psdExportOptions.writeLayers = false;
        psdExportOptions.imageColorSpace = ImageColorSpace.CMYK;
        doc.exportFile (destFile, ExportType.PHOTOSHOP, psdExportOptions);
    This code I created exports my current Ai document as a PSD with set options. It also names the new file what it is called in Ai.
    How can I call the created file and open it directly in Photoshop? Keep in mind I would be working on multiple files, so file names would change every time I ran this Export Script.
    I could call a specifically named file and open that, but that's not what I need this script to do. I just need it to open the newly created PSD file. Any help would be greatly apreciated!!!

    Hi Mark,
    BridgeTalk or for simple commands like this, Interapp communication (Cross-DOM)
    use photoshop.open(fileObject);
    before that you need to build your newly exported file object
         doc.exportFile (destFile, ExportType.PHOTOSHOP, psdExportOptions);
    var psfile = new File(destFolder + '/' + fileName.split('.')[0] + '-01.psd');
    if (psfile.exists) {
         //alert('file exists')
        photoshop.open(psfile);
    else
        alert('file does not exist');

  • Problem with scrolling text through arrow keys after exporting file to html

    I am using Fash Professional CS6. I have created a text box that I can scroll through the scroll wheel of my mouse, as the scroll bar is hidden. But when I try to scroll the text through the arrow keys it is not allowing me to so that. As this is website and everyone is not going to have a scroll wheel, I have to make the arrow keys work to scroll the text. Could you please help me in fixing this problem? I tried to search this problem, but I haven't seen any questions so far.

    if tf is your textfield:
    stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN,f);
    function f(e:KeyboardEvent):void{
        if(e.keyCode==38){
            tf.scrollV++;
        } else if(e.keyCode==40){
            tf.scrollV--;

  • Problem after exporting

    Hello,
    I am a relatively new user of premiere elements 9 and i'm working on windows Vista.
    When i am about to export my .pre file to .flv to have a video to put on the internet (not youtube but commercial site) i always preview my project after its been rendered and everything seems correct but when the file is exported in .flv some images are not at the same place as i see them when i preview the project on the preview screen.
    This is a big problem for me because i use images over my videos a lot.
    thanks for everything
    Jean-Luc

    This is a bug in the program and sometimes does happen, Jean-Luc. No one is yet sure why this is happening or how to fix it.
    In the meantime, one solution is to use Share/Computer/AVI to output your video as an AVI. Then open a new project and place your AVI on the timeline.
    Since you'll then be using a completed video as your source instead of several parts, the FLV should come out perfect!

  • Transition Issues/Problems on Exported File with FCP7

    Basically the video looks fine when played back in FCP, but gets messed up when output into Quicktime or any other video player.  In most programs it appears as a gamma shift during the FCP transitions and before/after any FCP generated text on the output file, again, it is fine in FCP when played back.
    I'm using Snow Leopard and FCS 7.  All of my footage is 24p 1080 ProRes (standard) with 16bit 48k audio.  My timelline matches this.  I used 5DtoRGB for transcoding.  I 100% made sure to render everything (and made sure all of the render options were checked) before exporting.  My settings are all default and have not been changed by me since the program was working fine.  I am using some FCP notch filters on the audio, but no video filters (other than the transitions), no 3rd party filters/plugins are being used.  I'm not utilizing XML files from any other FCS programs.  I'm watching all of this, including playback in FCP and QT, on an Apple Cinema Display.  My work files are on a G mini fw800 7200rpm drive.
    Here's my typical workflow: export without self-containing file, open in Quicktime 7 and export to MP4 or Quicktime File (pros I know use this same process, it normally yields great results).  When looking at the initial non self-contained file, there are very slight gamma shifts at the transition/text spots described above.  After converting in Quicktime, the gamma shifts are much more apparent.  I tried using compressor to export and not surprisingly had the same exact large gamma shifts on transitions/text as I did with QT7.  Out of curiousity, I open the non self-contained file in Quicktime X and it actually "zooms in" during the same spots where there's a gamma shift, crazy.
    Anyone want to take a swing at this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'll start by saying that I've tried extensively troubleshooting the problem and reading up on the web with no solution.  I just can't find anyone else that's reporting anything similar to this.  Even tried a full reinstall after wiping all FCP-related files from my computer; I did this when upgrading my OS and it fixed it temporary...I had the same problem come up a couple of months ago, but I upgraded my software and OS to 10.6.7 and it went away completely for that period.  This is driving me insane and costing me a lot of cash and time, plus I have six projects on deck that need to be done next week, this is the worst time this could have happened.  First serious bug/problem I've encountered on an Apple program in 10 years of using their products.
    Thanks.
    -Dave

    Great to see a reply, thanks.
    In the Advanced section under the General Tab in the Sequence Settings, compressors settings are as follows:
    Gamma Correction: Automatic (should this be turned off by chance?)
    Interlaced (not selected)
    Enable Chroma Filtering (not selected)
    Video Processing Settings for Sequence:
    Render 10-bit material in high-precision YUV
    Process Max White as: White
    Motion Filtering Quality: Normal
    Render Controls for Sequence:
    Filters and Frame Blending for Speed (both selected)
    Frame Rate: 100%
    Resolution: 100%
    Codec: Same as Sequence Codec
    Master Templates and Motion Projects (Quality=Normal, Best Quality is not selected)
