  • After upgrading my iphone ios from 5.1.1 to 6.0 i cannot click on wi-fi on/off (it is not highlighted)

after upgrading my iphone ios from 5.1.1 to 6.0 wverythings seems to work fine.
until today i was using my wi-fi network to download an application and suddenly wi-fi tirned off and when i went to the settings i cannot click on (on/off) wi-fi)
    it is ot highlighted.
i searched the web for answers but all answers took me to a dead end.
now i am stuck with iphone 4s with no wi-fi which is worth nothing.
a normal nokia with wi-fi is much better.
any help on how to fic my issue?

Take a look at this Apple doc -> iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
If those 5 steps don't fix it, the iPhone will need service.

  • Problems After Upgrading to New IOS (12.2.7a) With Passwords

Essentially, the title tells it all. After upgrading from 12.0.8 to 12.2.7a, our passwords wouldn't work. Is this because of a different encryption algorithm? We are using the service password-encryption command, and would like to keep it on during our installations.

We use TACACS, then local, but only after a site is in production.....but in this case, as this was a new turnup, we didn't apply TACACS yet.

  • Permission problem after upgrade of iPhone

    Hello,
I just upgraded iPhone 5s yesterday to the newest software version and since then cannot connect it to my macbook pro it gives me an error "you don't have permission to access this iPhone" but I his "Trust" every time it asks me, every time I reconnect.
    I hit continue in iTunes
and I hit Trust on iPhone. I restarted both devices few times. Nothing helps.

    Hi there ebaqdesign,
It sounds like you are getting an error message whenever you connect it to iTunes saying you dont have permission to access it, even though you tap Trust when it prompts you. I would start by resetting the phone while it's unplugged from the computer:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Then test the issue again. If it persists, I would next backup the phone to iTunes or iCloud:
How to back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes
Then I would use Recovery Mode to re install the iOS on the phone. Choosing update rather than restore will not compromise the data, but the backup is there just in case:
Connect your device to a computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, you can borrow one, or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Providerfor help.
While your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding until you see the Recovery mode screen.
When you get the option to restore or update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
iTunes will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 mintues, your device will exit recovery mode and you'll need to repeat steps 2 and 3 again.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

NEVER post your personal info on a public forum such as this.  This is a user-to-user tech support site.
If your phone was NEVER jailbroken or hacked to unlock, try these steps as needed:
    1. Reset phone (no data loss):  Press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
    2. Restore phone in iTunes using a backup (no data loss)
    3. Restore phone in iTunes as new, without using a backup.

  • Why can't i activate my iphone 3gs after upgrading it to ios 6?

why can't i activate my iphone 3gs after upgrading it to ios 6?
    It says,
''There is no sim card installed in the iphone you are attempting to activate''
Thanks for your help in advance!

There are several common causes for this problem:
Your security software (Antivirus, firewall, router settings) is blocking access to gs.apple.com, Apple's activation servers. Try temporarily disabling your security applications on your computer.
You have a redirect in your hosts file that defines a different IP address for gs.apple.com. you must delete all references to gs.apple.com from your hosts file (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts, or /etc/hosts on a Mac)
Your phone is jailbroken or otherwise hacked.

  • Syncing is really slow after upgrading my iPhone 3Gs to iOS 4.3.3.

After upgrading my iPhone 3Gs to iOS 4.3.3, syncing my iPhone takes 15 to 20 minutes.  Prior to this, it only took a minute or two.  It just sits on "Preparing to Sync" the whole time, an finally completes the sync after 15 or 20 minutes.  My office 2007 Outlook locks up in "Office Outlook is Syncronizing Folders" right after syncing.  I have to reboot the computer to get it out of this state.  What is the problem here?  Has anyone else had this problem?  If so, how was it resolved?  Thank you.

  • Had a huge problem after upgrading to iOS 4

After upgrading my iPhone 3G to iOS 4 I got a message on my iTunes telling me that "There's a problem with your iPhone"...
Then when I tried testing it out, it was very laggy the slide bar takes a couple of times to get my iPhone open up and the letter keys "I", "K" and "M" then keys "8", "@" and ' isn't working either...

I couldn't post anywhere so I thought to bump this one up since it's the same issue I am experiencing with my iPod Touch 2g 32gig. I decided to upgrade to iOS 4.0.2. After the new OS installed, an error message popped up on my laptop saying unable to restore my music (which was fine with me). I clicked on OK then the screen on the iPod Touch went black. I have been trying to rebooting it by using the suggested reboot/reset method: holding down power button and Home button at the same time for 10 seconds. I have tried simultaneously holding the two buttons for 10 seconds also. But neither worked for me. Right now I can't get it to turn on anymore.
One thing to add, my laptop no longer recognize the iPod Touch due to this issue.
    Please help suggest.
    Thanks in advance

  • After upgrading my iphone 5 to IOS 7, the iTunes Store won't open. Is there a fix for this?

After upgrading my iphone 5 to IOS 7, the iTunes Store won't open. Is there a fix for this?

I had the same thing yesterday. After google gave me nothing and after I was sure my phone had enough charge to restart, I did a reset on my phone...
Holding down the Power button, volume button and selector button on the front - for about 30 secs (or untill I knew the beeping had stopped).
I cant remember if I then restarted it or it it restarted itself, but now its back to normal! No memory loss from the phone either.
Freeked me out as its a new iphone 4s but glad to have it back! Without having to take it to get fixed by a pro.
    Hope that helps
