Problem: Aggregates for repository by scheduling an aggregate creation job

Hi dear OBIEE Gurus,
I‘m trying to create my Aggregates for my repository by scheduling an aggregate creation job as shown in
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/bi_ee_1013/aggpersist/aggpersist.htm
env:
1-     Oracle Business Intelligence Product Version 10.1.3.4.1 (Build 090414.1900)
2-     Windows XP
3-     Three separate repositories (OE, SH, & Sample Sales) running in parallel each on its own analytics deployment on one OC4J server

What is the problem:
When I try to start the scheduled job I get following message:

What have I done so far?
++++++++++++++++++++
-     I went through all steps in the aforementioned tutorial, up to the point where it says “6. Verify that the job completes successfully in the Job Manager.”
-     I set up the job in the scheduler
-     I let run the job in the job manager, Which is where I get the error.
-     I tried different combinations of fields, aggregations and levels, all with the same result.
-     Manually starting the job has the same result: >D:\programs\oracle\obiee\server\Bin\NQCmd.exe -u Administrator -p Administrator -d AnalyticsWebSH -s D:\programs\oracle\obiee\server\Repository\create_aggregated_table_rk.SQL
-     I tried to create aggregates in my other repositories, and found OTHER errors, but at least the aggregates were created there (to some extent)
-     I looked in OTN for the error, found nothing
-     Google does not know a thing about this
Any ideas?

Hi John,
there is an OSS Note 453026 'No aggregate proposals for MultiCubes after query' that seems explaining your situation, but I think you aren't on the old 2.0/2.1 versions...
John, I don't know how could I help you...
If I find more, I'll write you at once !
Bye,
Roberto

    Change purchase order
    Functionality
Function module BAPI_PO_CHANGE enables you to change purchase orders. The Change method uses the technology behind the online transaction ME22N.
Alternatively, the IDoc type PORDCH1 is available. The data from this IDoc populates the interface parameters of the function module BAPI_PO_CHANGE.
    Functionality in Detail
    Authorization
When you create (activity 02) an Enjoy purchase order, the following authorization objects are checked:
    M_BEST_BSA (document type in PO)
    M_BEST_EKG (purchasing group in PO)
    M_BEST_EKO (purchasing organization in PO)
    M_BEST_WRK (plant in PO)
Controlling adoption of field values via X bar
For most tables, you can use your own parameters in the associated X bar (e.g. PoItemX) to determine whether fields are to be set initial, values inserted via the interface, or default values adopted from Customizing or master records, etc. (for example, it is not mandatory to adopt the material group from an underlying requisition - you can change it with the BAPI).
    Transfer
    Purchase order number
The PurchaseOrder field uniquely identifies a purchase order. This field must be populated in order to carry out the Change method.
    Header data
The header data of the Enjoy purchase order is transferred in table PoHeader.
    Item data
The item data of the Enjoy purchase order is stored in the tables PoItem (general item data). Changes regarding quantity and delivery date are to be made in the table PoSchedule.
Use the table PoAccount to change the account assignment information.
    Services and limits
Changes to existing items cannot be carried out with the Change method. It is only possible to create new items.
    Conditions
Conditions are transferred in the table PoCond; header conditions in the table PoCondHeader. A new price determination process can be initiated via the parameter CALCTYPE in the table PoItem.
    Vendor and delivery address
The vendor address in the table PoAddrVendor and the delivery address in the table PoAddrDelivery can only be replaced by another address number that already exists in the system (table ADRC). Changes to address details can only be made using the method BAPI_ADDRESSORG_CHANGE.
    Partner roles
You can change all partners except the partner role "vendor" via the table PoPartner.
    Export/import data
Export/import data can be specified per item in the table PoExpImpItem. Foreign trade data can only be transferred as default data for new items. Changes to the export/import data of existing items are not possible.
    Texts
Header and item texts can be transferred in the tables PoTextHeader and PoTextItem. Texts for services are imported in the table PoServicesText. Texts can only be replaced completely.
    Version Management
You can make use of the Version Management facility via the table AllVersions.
    Return
If the PO was changed successfully, the header and item tables are populated with the information from the PO.
    Return messages
Messages are returned in the parameter Return. This also contains information as to whether interface data has been wrongly or probably wrongly (heuristical interface check) populated. If a PO has been successfully created, the PO number is also placed in the return table with the appropriate message.
    Restrictions
With this function module, it is not possible to:
Create subcontracting components (you can only use existing ones)
Create configurations (you can only use existing ones)
Change message records (table NAST) and additional message data (this data can only be determined via the message determination facility (Customizing))
Attach documents to the purchase order
    Change foreign trade data
    Change service data
    Change or reexplode BOMs
A firewall prevents the manipulation of data that is not changeable in Purchasing according to the business logic of the purchase order (e.g. PO number, vendor, etc.).
PO items with an invoicing plan cannot be created or changed using the BAPIs
In this connection, please refer to current information in Note 197958.
To change addresses with numbers from Business Address Services (cantral address management), please use the function module BAPI_ADDRESSORG_CHANGE.
To change variant configurations, please use the function module BAPI_UI_CHANGE. More information is available in the BAPI Explorer under the Logistics General node.
In the case of changes that are to be made via the BAPI_PO_CHANGE, a firewall first checks whether the relevant fields are changeable. This approach follows that of the online transaction. Here it is not possible to change the vendor or the document type, for example.
    Example
Example of changes made to a purchase order with:
    1. Change in header data
    2. Change in item
    3. Change in delivery schedule
    4. Change in account assignment
    5. Change in conditions
    6. Change in partners

Help in the Case of Problems
    1. Note 197958 lists answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs). (Note 499626 contains answers to FAQs relating to External Services Management.)
    2. If you have detected an error in the function of a BAPI, kindly create a reproducible example in the test data directory in the Function Builder (transaction code SE37). Note 375886 tells you how to do this.
    3. If the problem persists, please create a Customer Problem Message for the componente MM-PUR-PO-BAPI, and document the reproducible example where necessary.
    Customer Enhancements
The following user exits (function modules) are available for the BAPI BAPI_PO_CREATE1:
    EXIT_SAPL2012_001 (at start of BAPI)
    EXIT_SAPL2012_003 (at end of BAPI)
The following user exits (function modules) are available for the BAPI BAPI BAPI_PO_CHANGE:
    EXIT_SAPL2012_002 (at start of BAPI)
    EXIT_SAPL2012_004 (at end of BAPI)
These exits belong to the enhancement SAPL2012 (see also transaction codes SMOD and CMOD).
There is also the option of populating customer-specific fields for header, item, or account assignment data via the parameter EXTENSIONIN.
    Further Information
    1. Note 197958 contains up-to-date information on the purchase order BAPIs.
    2. If you test the BAPIs BAPI_PO_CREATE1 or BAPI_PO_CHANGE in the Function Builder (transaction code SE37), no database updates will be carried out. If you need this function, please take a look at Note 420646.
    3. The BAPI BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL serves to read the details of a purchase order. The BAPI cannot read all details (e.g. conditions). However, you can use the BAPI BAPI_PO_CHANGE for this purpose if only the document number is populated and the initiator has change authorizations for purchase orders.
    4. Frequently used BAPIs for purchase orders are BAPI_PO_CREATE, BAPI_PO_CREATE1, BAPI_PO_CHANGE, BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL, BAPI_PO_GETITEMS, BAPI_PO_GETITEMSREL, and BAPI_PO_GETRELINFO.
    5. For more information on purchase orders, refer to the SAP library (under MM Purchasing -> Purchase Orders) or the Help for the Enjoy Purchase Order, or choose the path Tools -> ABAP Workbench -> Overview -> BAPI Explorer from the SAP menu.

  • BPM - Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled

Good afternoon, first of all thank you very much for the support they can provide. I have developed a JDBC interface -> BPM (Multimapping) which works well. Modify a Message Mapping in the BPM that I use for an RFC Lookup, I have added the Configurable Parameters in the BPM and Integration Directory and everything works fine at design time. But when running the interface at run time the message reaches the BPM and the error "error in BPE inbound Permanent processing".
I have reviewed the Business Process Engine in the RWB and the item is Red Schedule Background Job for Reorganization and detail reads: "Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled".
As I can solve this problem. Thank you very much.

  • Problem with remove task from schedule in PWA

In our environment problem with remove task from schedule by PWA.
Problem is only when I want to remove few task in the same time, but the operation one by one is correct.
In my opinion problem is with calculation schedule after remove tasks, column ID include wrong value it means that Number ID does not generate in the correct order same of numer
disappear. Click Calculate button on ribbon causes problem with finshed operation and save project.
Problem occurs only machine with IE 11.0 browser without compability mode, on other machine for example on the same project with IE 8,9,10 everything is correct.
Problem appeared recently, earlier everything was OK.
    Txn, Dariusz Moczyński

    Hi Darius,
I'm a bit confused. You are now talking about 2 issues.
For the first one, you cannot edit anymore tasks in PWA, with any browser versions? Is it happenonog for any users on any projects? Try the following solutions publish the project from Project Pro and see if it helps. Press CTRL F5 to delete IE cache. Ensure
that your PWA URL is added to the trusted site and/or compatibility sites. Check for the ULS logs or javascript errors.
For the second issue, please refer to my previous reply, this obviously cannot be considered as a bug since it is happening with a non supported browser version and working properly on supported versions of IE.
    Hope this helps,

  • Automatically upgrade any superseded versions of this application not auto installing - Status always waiting for next maintenance schedule

    Hello,
I'm trying to deploy an application to a user group with the option checked for "Automatically upgrade any superseded versions of this application" but it never auto installs.
    - The application is set to install to system whether the user is logged on or off.
    - We do have user affinity, therefore the user does have a one or more primary devices setup.
    - If I run the install manually, it will superseded and install the new application and uninstall the old applications.
    - The estimated installtion time minutes is set to 0
    - The maxmimum allowed run time is set to 120 minutes.
    We're on version SCCM 2012 SP1.
My assumption of how it should work
If the user is logged in or NOT and it's during the maintenance window, it should auto install the application. Maybe I'm wrong.
    Here's the scenario.
User JohnDoe has application Viewer 1.0 installed on his machine.  He installed this app via the SCCM application catalog.   We now need to deploy Viewer 2.0 of this application.   I want to ensure when it's deployed it replaces Viewer 1.0 hence
the reason to check the "auto upgrade.."check box.
Here's what happens. In software center, it will pre-downlaod the software and then set the status to "Waiting for next maintenance schedule".  The problem is that the status stays like this forever.   We do have maintenance windows set
on the device collection that JohnDoe's primary device is part of.  Here are our maintenance windows.
    - Daily - 9PM to 5AM = 8 hours
    - Weekly - Saturday - 12:00AM to 12:00 = 24 hours
    - Weekly - Sunday - 12:00AM to 12:00 = 24 hours
    Coordinated UTC is not checked.
The business hours in software center are set to 5am to 10pm.
One would assume that it would auto install during the night since we have a big maintenance windows. I checked the ServiceWindowmanager.log and it does seem to show the various maitnenance windows.
    Here's what I've tried
    - If I make the deployment required, it will install right away regarless of maintenance windows.  However, i don't want to use this option because if the user logs in to other machine (e.g. boardroom computer), it will auto install this software.
    - If JohnDoe clicks install in Software center or application catalog, it works.  There's nothing wrong with the packages.  The issue seems to be related with the maintenance windows.
    - If I disable the maintenance windows, then it seems to work but only when I'm logged in.  It still does not work if I'm logged out.  It only kicks off the installation when I login if it's not during the business hour set in software center.
We need the maintenance windows since we don't want windows patching to occur during the day.
    - I searched and ran the report to ensure there's not another maintenance windows setup that would prevent this from installing.
    Our current workaround
To ensure users are using the latest version, we deploy the application required for a couple of days, then delete that deployment once we reach a high 90%.  The problem with that is if some computers are turned off, they would be using the older version
and it will never get upgraded unless the user installs it manually.
Has anyone encountered this?  Any other log files I should look at? Anything else I should verify ?  I know in SCCM 2012 R2, you can set the maintenance window to only apply this schedule to software update (patching) but that option doesn't seem
to be available in SCCM 2012 SP1.
Any help, suggestiong, I will take.  Thanks.

    - If I make the deployment required, it will install right away regarless of maintenance windows.  However, i don't want to use this option because if the user logs in to other machine (e.g. boardroom computer), it will auto install this software.
Re-check your deployment, specially the user experience:
If you've checked the box next to "Software installation", it will install after the deadline has passed and ignores maintenance windows. Change the deployment to required and uncheck that box and the software should be installed according to your
    maintenance windows.

  • Unable to allocate port for repository while installing JCAPS 6

    Hi,
I am interested in learning JCAPS.
I have run into the roadblock while trying to install JCAPS 6. In the step where I needed to choose the port for the repository to communicate, JCAPS couldn't use any ports. It first said port (default) 12000 was in use. I checked my pc with netstat command; but I didn't see any port 12000 being in use. I then figured out that it would not take any ports I assigned. That is, JCAPS seemed to be unable to allocating the port for repository, for some reasons.
I thought about firewall interfering port allocation. However, disabling the Internet connection didn't make the difference. I am stuck!
Does anybody have any pointers to offer me, please?
    Thank you very much.
    Frank

    hi frank,
    my last resort....
in my case i once had the very same problem...
the actual problem was that my firewall distinguished between windows executeables. as the installer of caps or caps itself used another java.exe as my test programs i could do the very same as you did but caps did not work. in this case i had to add a second java.exe to allow port binding on any network interfaces.
so my last question before i have to give up:
are you shure that NO FIREWALL is in the game here?
try ziping the whole directory and booting caps on another host... same problem?
    regards chris

  • No mount found for repository

I got the below message in my AdminServer.log when trying to present a server to a repository. It's not server specific, as I have another server in the cluster that I cannot present that repository to. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's complaining about no mount existing for that respository:

So, this can be a major issue.
I'd have to update about 6 repositories just to get another node added to the cluster...so if you find another solution that doesn't require taking the repositories offline, please let me know.I would log an SR with Oracle Support so that they can engage the OCFS2 development team for assistance. Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to do this without taking the repositories offline.

  • HELP - CDR-03120 Internal error problem making a repository connection

We upgraded to the latest Repository client and server and all went well.
We're using Jdev ontop of OSCM for src control.
There are 2 files how ever that got their checkin/checkout state mangled are now
hung. Otherwise post upgrade checkin/out works for all other files. We haven't
added any new yet I don't think.
The problem files are shown as checked out in Jdev and Ron, but the file in the mapped
    dir are read only.
Ron; bails with the message in the subject when you try to View Version History or
    Details.
HELP, how can I straighten this file's state out, we need to do maintenance on these
    two files.
    Thanks, curt

    After more experimentation;
The undo-checkout that didn't work from Jdev, but did from the RON. I've tested that
we can checkout/in this file from Jdev ok.
But view History for any file in RON gets this error, but view history from Jdev
    works.
Is this an installation problem for Repository??
This was an upgrade of a working 4.11 client with the appropriately short home directory
    path: d:/oracle/desi8i
    Maybe upgrade has problems?
    Thanks, curt

Went through this step-by-step, but alas it did not solve the problem. For some reason I can download mail on my Macbook Pro and iPhone, but no my iMac. Connection Doctor shows all green lights. This started today when I was prompted to re-enter incoming mail server passwords. I re-entered passowrds yet again to make sure they were correct. Rebuilt the inBox. Connection Doctor continues to show all green lights, but am still unable to download mail to the inbox. Has anyone else ever run into this problem?

I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2.  My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone).  I  was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

  • Crash Report is printed in the Box under Problem Report for Safari

It states in the Problem Report for Safari, that a Crash Report will be sent to Apple automatically, but I'm also posting it here in the forum based on articles I read after last post because it continues to "quit unexpectedly" when I try to launch the application.  I have done a permissions and disk repair.

  • BAPI for creating sales scheduling agreement

    Hi All,
I have a scenario where i need to create a sales scheduling agreement using VA31. I have tried using a function module "SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE". I am able to create the document by inserting the correct data in "SALES_HEADER_IN", "SALES_ITEMS_IN", "SALES_PARTNERS" and using the update flag as " I ".
When I try to insert data in "SALES_SCHEDULES_IN" the function module returns error message "No schedule line category could be determined during quantity adjustment".
please provide help in finding out the right procedure for creating the scheduling agreement with schedule lines data.
    Regards.
    Anurag
