Problem - Alerts on iPhone when event/reminder is created in iCal

Preamble:
MBP 2011 (early) on latest update of Lion
Subscription to iCloud (recently updated from MobileMe)
iPhone4 iOS5
Here's the scenario:
I create an event or reminder in iCal (on MBP) and set the alert settings to 'message' or 'message with sound' and select an appropriate date and time. The 'calendar' is set to iCloud>Home (in order to ensure it syncs with iPhone). Date and time come along and, so long as the MBP is turned on, the alert pops up on the screen - no problem.
Go over to iPhone - no alert pops up at the appropriate time. Open Cal and/or Reminders and there the event is, event also appears in the Notification Centre.
Problem:
Why does the iPhone not alert me of events that are generated in this way? If I create the event on the iPhone itself then it does alert me with no problem.
Workaround:
Set the original event alert to email and you get an email on the iPhone alerting you - however this is a little clunky and not the slick workflow that one might expect from apple.
Question:
Is there a solution to this?
P.S. Apologies if this is a double post, I have hunted round for an answer and there are a few threads of this nature but none of them were quite on the money.

i also should've mentioned that my calendars don't show in Mobile Me either. The headings do but for some reason there are no entries visible.

Send Mail alert to customer when billing document is created

Hi experts,
My requirement is to send email alert to customers when billing document is saved.( in transaction VF01 ).
I don't want to send any pdf format. I just want to intimate customer that the invoice is created.
Searched forum and tried all possible ways. Please send the steps to configure the same.
Request your valuable suggestions in this regard ASAP.

Hi,
It is also similar to sending the PDF document through email.
But in your case, it becomes easy. The program should take only the invoice number and send the invoice number through email to the desired email address.
You have to configure the output type as normal as any other email output type.
The logic has to be defined in the program.
So there is no difference at the functional consultant level, the technical consultant should accordingly write the code to just send the invoice number.

Problem Updating partner details when the confirmation is created.

I want to update the partner details when the confirmation is created
In SRM (non -sus ), Confirmation is created using the function module : bbp_pd_conf_create .
While creating confirmation, only item wise confirmation details are updated.
But the partner details of that confirmation is not updated.
bbp_pd_po_Getdetail is used to get the purchaser order details .
the same partner details are used in the confirmation create function module .
the following are the fm used for the above purpose ,
BBP_pd_conf_create
bbp_pd_conf_update
bbp_pd_conf_save
What are the details i should change in partner details to get updated. like guid information..
Please provide some suggestions ...

In BBP_PD messages
i can see the header , item and Stats details .
What ever value i retreive from PO getdetail fm , i pass it to the partner details while creating confirmation. only item details get updated but not partner details ,
I think its missing with the p_guid details. i dont know how to pass value consistently the p_guid value in hte partner when the item details are confirmed.

Problem syncing to iPhone - no 'events'

Hi everyone,
I'm syncing iPhoto with my iPhone but having a little problem.
I want the photos to display on the iPod in the same 'folders' that they do in iPhoto. EG - I have 'Christmas 2007' in iPhoto.
But, when I sync, I only have the choice of 'All' or 'Last 12 Months' or 'Last Sync'.
I want all photos on my iPhone but after syncing they're not split up by event or date, but just all appear in one huge folder.
Is there any way of splitting them up?

Rouge alerts on iPhone for events created on Mountain Lion

When I add calendar events in iCal the event shows no alerts, but when syncing the calendar with the iPhone there is an alert for 15 hours before. I can delete this alert off on the iPhone but it is a pain to have the computer show no alerts and then have the iPhone show an alert. If I create the event on the iPhone there is no issue.

okay. I tried the airplane mode and do not disturb on and off thing, resetting the network settings and all settings, restoring the iPhone using iTunes, draining phone using flashlight, reheating the phone using hair dryer and freezing the phone.. the freezing makes my wifi work again but it only last a couple of hours and I didn't want to try it anymore because I'm afraid it may cause another problem to my phone if I keep doing that.

Imessage alerts on iphone when using on OS X

Hello. I do like having iMessage on my Mac or my iPad, but it's annoying when my other devices still chime when there's a new message. Isn't there a way that iMessage can notice which device that I'm on? If i set iMessage to Available (or similar) couldn't it just automatically stop causing alerts on my other devices?

If you no longer desire to have the conversations carried over from your OSX machine to your iPhone, you can simply remove the email address from your 'Received at' setting in your iPhone's Message settings.
If you just don't want your phone buzzing everytime you receive a message, you can disable message push notifications.
Unfortunately, there is not a way for iMessage to send a message only to the active device. On the bright side, at least you can continue the conversation no matter what device you are on.

HT4970 when a reminder was created

A reminder was put on my iphone only I didn't put it there. Does anyone know how to tell when it happened? Is that tracked somewhere in the iphone or icloud?

What does the reminder say? Is it possible you are using an Exchange account? If you are, then the Outlook to do list is synced to Reminders.
Can you provide any more insight into this other than I didn't put it there?

The other information such as the date, time and invitees all show up on the iPhone, while in iCal all the information including the Location field is showing up.

IPhone calendar alerts continue after calendar events are deleted

I had several recurring events in iCal on my iPhone which finally came to an end. I deleted the events, but the alerts continue. Every day I am receiving alerts for events which are no long occurring. How can I delete these alerts.
I am using an iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1.2), but these events were created last year when I was still using an iPhone 4. I sync my phone to a MacBook Pro (OS 10.7.5) over iCloud.

I'm on the same system - syncing between my iPhone (4) and iCal on my Mac via MobileMe. Never had any problems when I was phone iPhone 3, and not sure when I started getting this problem with my iPhone 4 (may have been when upgrading to new MobileMe calendar), but I am not getting pop-up alerts which I have set up in iCal on my iPhone. They do pop up on my Mac desktop, but not on the iPhone. The thing is, when I go into Calendar on my iPhone, all the events that I created in iCal are there to be seen in Calendar on the iPhone, and when I select one of those events, all the correct information (including the alerts) are there to be seen.
So the information all appears to be correctly in the iPhone ... and hence I would not have thought it could be a syncing issue.
But come the time for that alert to pop-up on my phone and it just doesn't do it.
I have checked other issues mentioned, like the time zone.
... I've just applied the fix suggested by diana1953 (but in my case applying MobileMe where she has referred to Google Calendar / Gmail) and it seems to have worked on the test event I set. Thanks.

Having problems with texts width when viewed in Firefox

I My site is OK when viewed in Chrome and Safari, but in Firefox, the width of paragraphs is becoming very long and all is displayed wrong.
I need a clue where to look to fix. I have not , or very little knowledge of HTML code. So I rely on the DW CS5 interface.

Aperture crashes when I try to create a new project

Hello all, having an odd problem with Aperture crashing when I try to create a new project.
I suspect the problem is likely related to the library file's permissions, as I was previously working with this library as another user (stopped using the account because of issues solved by too many fonts being installed).
The problem occurs when I finish naming the project and hit enter, so presumably when Aperture attempts to save the new project into the library file.
Any ideas?

How to solve sync problem between Outlook calendar and iPhone when reminder is set to _some_ non-standard values?

I am having a sync problem between my iPhone/iPad and Outlook calendar events (Outlook 2010).
Here is the description of the problem:
1. In Outlook - please create a new event/appointment (e.g. "Test").
2. Reminder is set by default to 15 minutes. You can change it by using a dropdown menu - please select: "0,5 days".
3. Click on "0,5 days" and change it manually to "14,5 days".
4. Click on "Save & Close".
5. (Do not snooze or dismiss the reminder.)
6. Sync with your iPhone/iPad.
7. Open this new event on iPhone/iPad - you can see that alert is set to "15 minutes before" instead to a correct value that was set in Outlook.
The same problem can be seen if you set the reminder to e.g. "3 weeks" (standard value is "2 weeks").
However, it is interesting that non-standard values like "1,5 days" (and all other until "13,5 days") are synced without any problem.
Does anyone have a solution how to solve this problem (different than the trivial solution of not using those strange values)?

Thanks to another post (https://discussions.apple.com/message/17501071#17501071) I reset the sync history, here is what to do:
Launch iTunes.
Before you hook up your iPhone to the PC and iTunes do this: Go to iTunes Edit menu > Preferences… > select the iPhone > click the Reset Synch History button > click OK.
Connect the iPhone to the PC and let iTunes recognize it.
In the top right corner is the iPhone icon, click on the left side of the iPhone icon > the iPhone menu launches.
In the menu along the top click on Info > make your selections > click Sync button > it gives you a dialog at the top with the steps it’s going through during the sync.
In the top left of the iTunes app > click Exit.
