Problem analyzing tools Acrobat pro 11

Science the upgrade from Acrobat pro 10 to Acrobat pro 11 I have an issue with the analyze tools. When drawing & measuring in .pdf the measurements start blinking & flashing. I've tested where the problem is. It's no hardware (video) problem. It's a software problem. The same file doesn't flash in version 10. I hope you can help me withthis problem, OR come with a fix!
I have a short video to show what's occuring. Can I sent this to make my problem appaer?

  • Problems activating the Acrobat Pro part of the CS 4 software.

I am having problems activating the Acrobat Pro program which is part of the Academic Version of CS4 -Design Premium that I bought. Once I finally got most of CS4 activated (and that had several problems as well!), I just kept getting the request to fill in my serial number. Each time I tried using the only Serial Number I had been issued, I would see imediatly a red "X" to the right of the "incorrect" serial number, along with a message that my time using the software had expired.
I have called and E-mailed Adobe several times now, and tried all of Adobe's suggestions: removed certain files, uninstall everything and the reload from the begining, do both, etc. So far, nothing has worked. As I said all the other probrams are now activated, but the only thing activated right now is my level of frustration with Acrobat Pro. Can anyone help me on this? I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    ThomasE365

You do not activate Acrobat from the suite. You activate another program in the suite, then Acrobat should be activated. If you are having a problem, then I recommend de-activating, uninstalling everything. Run the CS4 clean script: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html
But on the offhand chance it is a license problem you can try this first: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/licensing.html

  • Problems re-installing Acrobat Pro 9

I was having problems printing from Acrobat Pro 9 after upgrading to Apple OS Mountain Lion. I was advised to re-install Acrobat. I un-installed it first then tried to re-insall it from the original CS4 disc. It just hung at 'installing' and never got further. So I gave up eventually and copied the application from my laptop. That seemed to work but then it asked for the serial number when I launched it. So I entered the serial number on the back of the disc case but it didn't accept it. What do I do now? I need Acrobat Pro back some how.
    Thank you.

Just to clarify - the install disc gets stuck on 'preparing to install'.

  • Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI after installation on Mac

I just installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI on my Mac. My Mac has the correct version of OS and Safari yet I can not launch Adobe. When I launch it, an error box comes up and says a problem has been reported to Adobe.  That's as far as it gets. Has anyone had this problem before?

    Hi lsgahan,
Please try the following steps and let me know.
Delete all the files from following folders:
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD
Launch Acrobat and enter the serial number when prompted and check.

  • Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended version 9.3.4 reading Inventor 2009

I would like to be able to generate 3D PDF files from Autodesk Inventor CAD models (e.g. .iam files) using Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended.  I am constrained to use Inventor 2009.  When I originally installed Acrobat Pro Extended, I was able to make this work after installing the IMPORT3D update at:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4073
Recently (9/5/2010), I updated Acrobat Pro Extended to version 9.3.4.  I believe that following that update, I lost the ability to read in Inventor 2009 files.  Acrobat Pro Extended now gives the error messages:
"Exception has been raised" followed by:
"Acrobat could not open 'file' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).  To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF."
This is exactly what happened when I first installed Acrobat Pro extended and before I installed the IMPORT3D update mentioned above.  I tried re-installing that update but now the installer gives the error message:
"No qualifying products found to apply this update."
Note that Inventor 2009 does allow one to "Save Copy As" to PDF format, but this just creates a 2D PDF snapshot of the current model view -- same for print to pdf.
I suppose one thing to try is removing Acrobat Pro Extended and then re-installing without the 9.3.4 update, but with the IMPORT3D update -- but if that is necessary, then I won't be able to take advantage of any further updates (e.g. security updates) to Acrobat, which seems like a bad situation.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or is it just me?

I may have figured out what was causing my problem with conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF.  After playing around with a number of inventor files, I discovered that the conversion worked fine when there were no references to external files.  For example a .ipt file (part file) seemed to convert fine.  I believe the problem was that on the form one obtains with Edit->Preferences->Convert to PDF->Autodesk Inventor->Edit Settings->Import->Assembly, the check box for "use root file directory" was NOT checked.  Oddly, this is the default and I'm pretty sure I tried setting the conversion options to the default.  In any case, I now seem to be able to perform the conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF so this problem is solved I guess.

  • Problems with opening Acrobat Pro 9 PDF files

Hi. We use Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 to convert our product documentation Word files into PDFs. During the last weeks our customers report more and more problems with opening these files. We usually deliver those on a DVD with Acrobat Reader 5 or another older version. (Please don't ask me why we're still on these old versions!) Did anyone experience similar problems with Acrobat Pro 9 PDF files and older versions of the Acrobat Reader? Does Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 work smoothly with the newest Acrobat Reader 9.1 download?
Please post your comments. Thx a lot - Kay

I would recommend distributing higher version of Reader as version 5 is just too old but looks like you can't go there.
Acrobat 9 PDFMaker and Adobe PDF printers by default create PDF 1.5 compaible files. PDF 1.5 compatible files can be opened only in Acrobat 6 and above. That's probably the reason why your customers can't see the contents.
What you can do is to change your conversion settings to produce PDF 1.4 compatible files:
    - In Word, select Acrobat tab or Adobe PDF menu (depending on your version of Word), select Settings
    - Select "advanced settings" in the dialog that comes up
    - Choose compatibility as "Acrobat 5", PDF 1.4
IF you print to Adobe PDF printer, you'll find a similar setting in the print dialog.

  • Photosmart problem since installing Acrobat Pro X

Since I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro X, my Photosmart printer won't scan to PC.
It will print, but the HP solution centre isn't working - I'm getting the message:
HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete.
Please plug in the USB cable or re-run the setup programme from the installation CD for a network installation.
If this does not complete the installation, or you do not have the CD, access the HP help files by clicking the Start menu
My printer was working fine till I installed Adobe.
I've tried re-installing the software but it still isn't working.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Alison

Thanks for the additional info! Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here. It can likely resolve the issue automatically. If not it can give us a better idea of what is going on. Let us know the results.
    Best of Luck!

  • Change Default Preferences - Measurment Tool - Acrobat Pro

When the measurement tool in Acrobat Pro a default setting somehow was made so that when you measure an area the same default polygon appears.
Does anyone know how to fix this so that the polygon that you measure is the one that shows up? Possibly by deleting the some preference file> If so where is this preference file?
    Thank you very much

    SOLVED!
To get rid of your "Use these settings as default": Simply delete the equivalent keys under "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1778856060-1634827353-635260049-13282\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\7.0\Annots\cAnnots"
    That worked for me.

  • Problems with CS6 Acrobate Pro X

When I first installed all the programs in the Design and Web Premium CS6 they all worked well.  Within 6 months I had my first problems with Acrobate Pro X not being recognized.  I had the program removed and re installed. It worked ok for about another 6 months..  Now I am getting all kinds of error messages.  I tried to re-install but this error #1311.  Any suggestions about getting this program up or ideas on how to contact Acrobate support directly?

  • Problem installing Adobe Acrobat Pro 9

I have an HP Pavilion dvd6-3033 with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. Some time ago I purchased and installed the Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium system which included a disc with Adobe Acrobate Pro 9. Everything installed just fine. Recently my hard drive went bad and I had to install a new one. After reinstalling Windows 7 Home Premium I reinstalled the Creative Suite 5 just fine, but the Acrobat Pro 9 installation, after running for a while, produces Error 1311 (Source file not found: F:\Acrobat 9\Data1.cab  Verify the file exists and that you can access it.) I checked the Acrobat9 folder on the installation disc and Data1.cab is there, but apparently the installer for some reason doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions on what to do?

    =======================================
Last week, I got a new computer, a 64-bit machine, and wanted to transfer my copy of Pro 9.0 to my new computer and delete it from my old one. I still had the original setup file and my copy of the note above and proceeded to install Acrobat Pro 9.0 on the new machine. During the registration process, I entered by serial number and chose to register. I thought all was fine, but this mornign I opened a PDF document and got a Splash Screen that I needed to enter my ID and serial number. I did (again) and hit submit, but got a message that the serial number was not issued to my id (I used the ID in the confirmation note I got from Adobe above). How to I get Pro 9.0 to work on my new machine? In only have 28 more days of "trial" period before I am locked out.

    Thanks for the reply, Ankit.
When I bought Pro 9.0, I was upgrading from version 6, which I had purchased as a DVD from Adobe. When I got Pro 9.0, I thought I did not need the CD anymore and discarded it.  Of course, inside the jewel case was the license number for that version.
Does Adobe keep records on what I bought several years ago?  If so, the original serial number might be in that record. If I had that information, I could probably get the installation and registration to work as designed.

  • Problems re-installing Acrobat Pro 8.

After transferring my files to a new laptop, I tried to reinstall my Acrobat Pro 8 but was told my serial number was no longer valid. Customer service told me they could not help either. Is there any way I can still use my software or am I going to have to buy a complete new version?

Just to clarify - the install disc gets stuck on 'preparing to install'.
