Problem: app I didn't buy in Mac App Store

Hi,
I have a Macbook 13, already with Mountain Lion (the problem I'm reporting also appeared in Lion).
In the Mac App Store, I have a app in the updating tab (Angry Birds app) that I never bought (well, I bought it in my iPhone). I don't have it in my Mac. When I try to update it, the field of the Apple ID is "[email protected]", which obviously I don't know (I'm based in Portugal).
I really want to delete the entry in the App Store. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!

Go in Aplication / Final Cut Pro (clic right)

If I buy a digital book in  EPUB size from a web site, how I may read it on my IPad? Specify that I didn't buy it from Apple Store.

First, epub has nothing to do with size, it is a file format that is popularly used for ebooks, but ebooks published in epub file formats vary greatly in file size.
It will depend on where you buy it.  Many books are DRM locked (Digital Rights Management, a software lock).  If so, in order to load it into another companies reader or reader software, you need to use something like Adobe Digital Editions to "authorize" the book on the device.  Apple's iBook software does not work with ADE.
If the book was DRM free, you should be able to read it in any ereader or ereader program that supports epub format.
If the book is DRM locked to B&N, Amazon, Kobo or whichever seller you shopped from, then the simples thing is to download their free app for the iPad (they all make one, in fact they all make free apps for iPad, Android, Mac OS X and Windows).
So the short answer is yes, you should be able to read any epub ebook file on an iPad, although not necessarily in iBook.
    So, books from
Amazon - get the Kindle reader app
B&N - get the Nook reader app
Kobo - get the Kobo reader app
non-DRM epubs can be read in iBook, Nook, Kobo, or Google Play

  • I'm unable to download iMovie/iphoto, as i didn't buy the mac brand new, it only gives me the 'accept' button when i try to download, i don't mind purchasing, it just doesn't give me the option. any ideas how i can get around this?

I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on. So i went through all the set up steps when switching it on for the first time.
My problem is that iPhoto and iMovie are not installed, and when i go to the app store the icons have an accept button, it then prompts me for my apple ID, obviously these a registered to the original owner, and says i need that ID in order to download them, or i'll have to purchase them.
I'm happy to purchase them, but it doesn't give me that option, every time i search for them in the app store they always come up with the accept option and no purchase option.
Any idea how i can get round this would be great fully appreciated.

Something doesn't make sense here, though I'm not saying the previous owner is lying....
Time to send your serial # to iTS and let them see what's happening here.

  • Safari 8 problem, App Store problem, Adobe creative cloud signing In

    Hello All,
I would really appreciate if you could help me out solve the following problems in my iMac 3.4 GHz Intel core i7!
    Safari:
I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite version 10.10 and since that time, i am facing a lot of problems with Safari.. sometimes it's working correctly and other times it is (freezing, not responding and the wheel keeps turning until the force quitting) snapshot attached for freezing)
    App Store:
The problem with App store, the App store fail to start and if opened the window is inactive and in grey color and and says Cannot Connect to App store (snapshot attached)
    Adobe creative cloud
Whenever i have problems in my iMac, i face signing in problem with Adobe creative cloud.. The wheel keeps turning (snapshot attached)
Just to mention the steps i tried to solve these problems:
    - Reinstalled the OS X Yosemite 3 times.
    - Restart my computer constantly.
    - Clear caches in Safari..
    None of them worked permanently!
    Any suggest from your side!
    Thank you

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • App store problems, app store problems

I have the latest version of the Macbook Pro 13". There is an update that constantly comes up and which I have never purchased. When I try to accept the update someone else's Apple id comes up. If I enter my id and try to run the update I get an error message. I have taken this to 2 different Apple stores and it has totally stumped their "Geniuses"... Someone suggested that having some pirated software can cause this to happen. I do not have any pirated software on my Mac. Does anyone have any idea on how to get rid of this problem? Thanks in advance.

Report the problem to Apple using the email form here >  Apple - Support - Mac App Store - Contact Support
Should hear back in approximately 48 hours.
Something to try while you wait for a response..
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type of copy/paste:   ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Click Go then move any files you see that say:  update or Updates
And move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
See if that makes a difference.

  • Region and payment problems app-store

    Hi there!
I just bought an iphone and would like to download some apps that I need to pay for.
I live in the Cayman islands, however my credit card and billing address is in the Netherlands and this seems to cause a problem when I want to add payment information.  I've tried to set the address in Apple ID to the Netherlands, but it automatically changes back to the Cayman Islands! When going to the Dutch App Store I'm not allowed to buy there, but in the Cayman store my payment information is not approved..
Any tips on what to do..?
    Thanks so much!

Sounds like you need a VPN that gives you an IP address in the Netherlands

  • Download problems-app store-logic pro

Hi all, having problems with a new download from App Store for Logic Pro. Got as far as final install, then nothing happes (with message saying "less than a minute"). Been like that for 24 hours. Grateful for any suggestions.

Downloads from the App Store do not get saved to the download folder.
They actually get saved temporarily to a folder inside the hidden system folder /var and get deleted during the install process.
As for the OP's problem.. Typically this issue happens when your ISP limits the size of any given single file...
Assuming you have tried to download it again from the App Store.. (and if not.. do so..)
If that didn't work, contact your ISP and ask them if they enforce such limits for you account. With others who had this issue, their ISP's all upped their single file max size limit when requested.

  • Mac App Store does nothing when I click download on any App

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009), OS X: Snow Leopard 10.6.8
    Hello,
my problem is that when I am in the Mac App Store and click download on any App or on the new OS X Yosemite (which is why I am opening this thread) nothing happens.
The font turns grey indicating that I clicked the button, but after that... nothing. I don't even get an error message telling me what's wrong.
And when I go to another Tab in the Store like from "Updates" to "Highlights" and then back to Updates it shows the button as if I didn't click it in the first place.
Images (english is not my main language):
What I did is search for hours what could be wrong. What I tried was:
    - Log Out and start the application again, then log back in
    - Try downloading with another Apple-ID
    - Start the MacBook in Safe-Mode
    - Several restarts of the MB itself
    - Repair the rights to the volume (this one is tricky for me to explain: something like the HardDrive Managing Program)
Those are the things I can remember.
Other information that might be useful:
    - I have a stable WiFi Connection and no VPN or similar in use
    - Except from Google Chrome I didn't install anything as I got the MB a few days ago where it was as if it was used the first time
I hope you can help me as I am really desperate getting this to work.

I am running OX YS X YOSEMITE 10.10.3 with a macbook pro 13" and have this same problem: App store shows there are apps to update. I click update (either just one or all), and they mac shows the update button greyed out, as if i had pressed "UPDATE". For hours on end, nothing happens. NOTHING! I've restarted the mac, which is about as much as i know. Please help me solve this issue, as i'm using Pages and numbers apps and feel like they are stuck in apple limbo/**** without the new update. Hoping to get this resolved soon.

  • Mac App Store not recognizing previously installed Apple applications

Mac App Store is not recognizing previously installed Apple applications (Aperture 3; iLife'11; iWorks'09) as already purchased and installed. These were installed either via download from the Apple Store or from install discs. Prior to the 10.6.7 update, at least some of these applications were recognized as already installed by the Mac App Store. This is no longer the case.

However, it now says that the software that came with my Mac Book Air (iLife) and other software must be re-purchased!
No, it doesn't say you must re-purchase them. You can continue to use those apps as they are. There is no requirement for you to re-purchase them. If you wish to have lifetime updates, you can purchase the version on the app store which will give you that. However, you still have the same license to use those bundled apps the same as everyone else.
This is wrong, at least for the Mac Book Air 2010 and forward purchases because of Mr Jobs announcement back in October.
What did he say that makes you think that?
No! Apple must make good on this. Why should Apple give me iLife with an MBA and tell me that I'm getting an App Store and then deny those software to be excluded from being "installed"? This is wrong.
No, you are wrong. You received the standard bundled apps that were bundled with every other Mac. The App store only reports on apps actually purchased from the app store (apparently correctly, now). Your bundled apps were not purchased from the Mac App Store. They were bundled with your Mac.
    Apple reps (you guys here)
They are not, at least the ones you wish to talk to.
MUST escalate this issue for computers/software purchased from that October announcement and understanding.
Why? You didn't buy a "Mac App Store" bundle with your Mac. As I explained above, you received applications bundled with your Mac. They still work. You have not been cheated in any way.

  • How can i see my recent purchases.  I was charged something on itunes that i didn't buy today.  i saw it on my bank statement

How do you find your recent purchases.  I was charged something that I didn't buy from the itune store according to my bank statement.

You can check the purchase history on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, though I'm not sure if that shows auto-renewing subscriptions .  If you don't recognise a charge then you could contact iTunes Support via this page and see if they can help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • App Store - Updating Applications Bug

    here's my problem:
app store shows there's x number of updates
i click to update, which is now a HUGE pain because the "update all" feature is gone
i have to pick each app one by one
then i go to the update of a certain app... it says FREE
i hit free, then i hit install and i get this:
"This discounted price is only available to customers who own a previous version of this item. To purchase this item at full price, click OK"
it gives me no choice other than to click ok.
then about half of them then say "This item is currently being modified. Please try again later"
(is someone really modifiying it on a Saturday at 5pm?)
this is a bug that needs fixing

i figured out my problem... i had two accounts that itunes understands.. a AOL account and a APPLE account... if i downloaded 5 apps when i was logged into the AOL account and then at a later time i was logged in the APPLE account, it would not download and update.. i would get the above error, however, if i logged off and logged in under the AOL account, those 5 apps would update and work fine.. however then the ones i downloaded when i was logged in under the APPLE account will now not update until i log in to those accounts

I buy for mac app but not for the iPad, so how do I reinstall a program that has already purchased? I need help because I bought the imovie'11 but when he opened it only brought 8 movie trailer templates instead of the 15 it says on the program. How do I solve this problem? Once paid for a program incomplete. I also liked that the AppStore itself had a button to reinstall programs already bought, because it is very hard to understand how to do this in the store, only option is to install and hide purchase, and how do I reinstall, attention'm talking about reinstalling a computer mac, not an ipad or iphone.
    Thank you.
