Problem Assigning Business Systems

Hi,
Landscape: New XI 3.0 SR1 Installation, W2K, oracle.
SLD: on a separate server with ABAP+J2ee. ABAP datastore for UME. Updated with new CIM, CR content.
Followed oss note: 768148 - Using a separate SLD for XI
We completed all the settings as per post-installation guide and XI configuration guide. We were able to connect & create the technical and business systems for XI and R.3 ECC 5.0 in the SLD.
SLDCHECK in XI server is fine, and shows the correct information about the SLD.
But when I am trying to assign a business system in Integration Directory - Service without third party, in the following wizard I am getting an error message
"Access to object list of type "BusinessSystem" using the InternalEOAService BusinessSystemAccessor failed"
Any help would be appreciated

• Automatic comm channel when assigning Business system during configuration

Hi all,
In scenario file to file during Configuration,
During assigning business system there is a check box:
'Create communication channels automatically'
I am planning to use File adapter on both receiver and sender side..
The question is Do I check this box or not ? If I do check this box it creates for me HTTP adapter ...Do I need it or not? I am clearly only using file adapter
thanks all !
Jon

U cannot use it in ur scenario. This function is supported for the following adapter types:
- XI Adapter
- HTTP Adapter
- IDoc Adapter
- RFC Adapter

• Assign business system

I have created a business system in SLD. When I want to assign this business system to the scenario, I can not find it in the wizard and also not show on Object tab. It is a new business system, I dont assign it to the other scenarios. How to find it?

Hi
You need to first import this business system from SLD into Integration Directory.
Go to objects tab -> right click on "Business System" -> Assign Business System.
In the new window choose your newly created business system and its ready to use now
If your Business system does not show in da new window, refresh the cache,
how to refresh the cache?
Goto ID -
> Environment -
> Clear SLD Cache, try the step of importing it again.
Hope this clears your doubts
Thanks

• Unable to assign Business System in Configuration

Hi,
I have created a new Technical system in SLD. I have also configured a Business system for it. But when i am trying to assign this system in Configuration, "Assign Business system", i am not able to see the newly created business system.
Please help me.
Regards,
Siva Maranani.

We have already assinged the Integration server to their respective business system groups while creating the Business system groups.
BSG: XI_DEV --> UKD_400( Integration Server DEV )
BSG : XI_QA ---> INTEGRATION_SERVER_UKQ( Integration Server QA)
As per documentation, the business systems should be automatically assigned to their respective Groups based on their association with Integration Server.
But, we are not seeing this behaviour, both the Integration servers are being assigned to the same Business System Group.
Please help me understand if i am something in the configurations.
Thanks

The problem is the connection between the Integration Scenarion Configurator (Integration Directory) and the central SLD – which means that the XI is not on the SLD host.
When I try to assign the business systems, which I created in the SLD, I have to assign a service (business system) to every single role. When I am trying to add a line and display the list of permitted values a new box opens in order to select the service.
Selecting the product, i.e. SAP R/3 the pop up with the error appears.
Do you need more information – please let me know which!

• Assign Business System in Integration Directory

Hi all,
i have basic question.
in my ID, there are some configuration scenarios.
for example, the left side look like,
in case, one of Business System created on SLD was assigned to one of configuration scenarios,
i would need to assign same business system into Business System in Service Without Party in another configuration scenarios, it was not possible to assign.
can i assign BS1 to several configuration scenarios?
or should i create Main scenario in order to define communication channel?
thanks in advance
venjamin

Hi venjamin
Yes, you can assign the same business system to different configuration scenarios.
to do this there are 2 ways.
1. Open the cofiguration scenario to which the business system has already been assigned.
Right Click on the Business System> Add to Scenario> Select the scenario to which you want to
assign your business system.
2. Select the objects tab>service without party> business system> your business system> right click-->
assign to scenario and then select your scenario.
Hope this helps,

• Error When Assigning a Business System in ID

Hi,
I'm using PI 7.1. and when I'm trying to assign Business System from our SLD (menu path Business System --> Assign Business System). it throws me the following error:
Access to object list of type "BusinessSystem" using the InternalEOAService BusinessSystemAccessor failed
What are the steps to debug this?
Thanks.
Prema Boodi

The problem is solved using below solution:
We should have USERS: PIDIRUSER & PIREPUSER
with Roles:
SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER
SAP_XI_MONITOR_J2EE
And User Type must be service.
Also check the users are not locked.
And passwords for PIDIRUSER & PIREPUSER users should have same password in Local SLD & in Central SLD. (if you are maintaning more than one SLD)..

• Business system * is not assigned to a business system group

I am running XI3.0 (SP12), Oracle 9.2.0.6 on a Windows 2003 Cluster Server.
I am trying to import some config from the Integration Directory from Dev into QA but I am getting the following error:
IMPORT XI 3.0 Design Objects
Business system XIT is not assigned to a business system group with the ID (XISystemGroup)
I have copied my Dev SLD into my QA SLD.
Has anyone else come across the error??

Barry,
You should ideally have assigned Business systems in ur QA landscape to 1 group & Business systems in your dev landscape to another group. Also , hope you have created transport targets for all ur Business systems in dev environment. In ur QA SLD , you should have two entries for each business system , something like
DEV-BS-1 -> transport target -> QA-BS-1
QA-BS-1 -> transport source -> DEV-BS-1
Thanks

• I am unable to see business systems in ID

Hi Experts,
I have created Technical and business systems in SLD,
I have done mapping every thing working fine but when go to integration directory
i am unable assign business systems, i didn't find my busuiness systems in ID.
Can u please tell me where i have done wrong.
Thanks in addvance.
Manisha.

Hi Manisha,
There is a simple solution for this problem,
1. If you use the same business system to map more than one scenario U can't see the Business system in the ID directly.i.e., at assign business systems in ID.
2. Go to next tab which is Objects (ID) there you can see all the business systems which are using by XI server please do like this to get the business system.
3 select the business system which u want to work on- right click and select add to acenario(current ID scenario)
4. come out of that tab then u can see the business system added to the scenario. then rest is normal.
hope you understand
regards

• How to create Business System

Hi
I have created a Business System in SLD... But in Configuration time when i am trying to Assign Business System in my scenaro i am not getting the Business System which i have created in SLD... How can solve this problem... Pls help me
Best Regards
Ravi Shankar B

Hi,
It is always good to check the business system which you have created by using the filter option.
you can do the above filter check option like...select business system tab and ener you business name in the filter text box and click filter button. If your business system is availabel you can able to see otherwise it will tell you search is not found.
so,you have came to know that your business is availble in the sld which u have created...if u still not getting the business system refresh the cache so we will get it.
hope u understand my explanantion. If you have still any problem please inform us so that we can able to reach you out with the correct solution.
Thanks in Advacnce.

• I am not getting Business System into my Integration Directory.

Hi All!
This is satish, I created Business system in SLD. How to get them in Integration Directory. Please help me.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Satish,
Go to Service without Party->Right Click->Assign Business System->it will show you list of Business Systems created in SLD -> then go ahead
Then
2 options to refresh the cache-
Integration Directory->Environment->Clear SLD Data Cache
Another way is -go to SXI_CACHE / Goto - Business System -> delete the content
Still , if you are not able to see the Business sytem in the Directory, the just go and check in the SLD. If it exists just change and save it.
Then synchronise the same by SLD cache refresh as mentiond.
changing BS
