  • Problem attaching eps-files

When I attach an eps-file in Mail, PC users frequently can't see my file. If I compress it, it's no problem. And it only happens with eps-files.
My solution is to open Entourage to resend it, but it seems stupid...
And it happens on different Macs

I tried it on my machine. Same problem.  I think the mac is trying to display the file and not having any luck somehow. Anyway, it's a bug.

Besides the zip workaround, one can also convert the file to PDF, then attach it. To convert it to PDF, open it in Preview, then export it.

    Hello,
As the message says the file is not primary data file ,i guess it must be ndf(secondary data file) or some other file you might have selected by mistake.PLease select primary data file and try attching you will succed

  • How can I change 'attach a file' back from classic mode to regular mode

I was having a problem attaching a file (it was the file's fault, not FF) and switched to the 'classic' mode. I prefer the 'regular', previous mode and cannot figure out how to switch it back. I'm hoping when I reopen it it will revert to 'normal', but I would like to go back to the regular mode. I went to the tools (gear) page and flicked the attach section back and forth to the 'show progress bar setting it was originally on but it didn't work. Help?

    Hi Prem,
You can attach this manually in the document tab of BP. Thats the standard functionality.

  • How do I attach a file to a Internet page

I am attempting to apply for jobs on the Internet but I am unable to attach my CV to any application. When I click on the "attach" button whilst on the individual website nothing happens and it is greyed out. Can anyone help?

This just worked for me on my iMac, where I had the same problem, attaching a file to a web page, using Lion:
Go to Applications/Utilities and look for a Java Preferences app.  Open that app and (in Lion) you should see an "enable" box near the top of the main window.  Check the enable box, and then close and restart Safari.
Hope this helps you and others.

  • Unzipping core Files

Im trying to install Java but it keeps telling me that there is a problem unzipping core files. So I tried to change destination but its still not working.
Can somebody please try help me :)

I have read the Java help and did all they suggested to do and for some reason it still wont down load.
I tried to change to destination place and that tells me that a previous Java installation was never completed.
But when I did what Java told me to do to install it and to down load the Windows Installer Cleanup, it tells me that Java isn't even on my computer.
    I'm lost and confused

I am having a problem with the FireFox browser. I have attached two files that best describe the problem. I have labeled them A & B. A is the way it should look and B is what happens after I have I opened several tabs. I can get it back to normal if I click on VIEW than click on customize. When the customize window appears FireFox returns to its normal state. I than click on the done box and go back to what I have been doing. I tried resetting FireFox back to default settings, but that did not correct the problem.
This began happening about a month ago. Is there a way I can fix this problem? Thanks for your help.I don't know how to attach my 2 attachments that shows the problem I am having.

  • Firefox crashes when I try to attach a file. Seems related to second problem, receive error messages when opening a pdf in adobe (which I've reinstalled twice)

    Crash report:
    bp-74bcae4f-7091-4121-a809-5d0a12140616 is the crash report.
    I have a Toshiba.
When I open my email (gmail, school email) and try to attach a file, firefox immediately crashes and gives me two error messages. first one is a WerFault, i think. I don't know if that's relevant.
Apart from these crashes in Firefox, I am also having the same problem when trying to view or open a pdf in adobe reader, or even open adobe reader itself. It won't try to open, I just receive the error messages. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it two times now. I did this thing suggested online where you go into the control panel and look at all your plugins. Then, "repair" adobe reader - pretty sure it's just a button that says repair. that didn't do anything, of course I also could have done something wrong.
I realize this could be a problem unrelated to Firefox, but I'm doing what I can before I take my laptop in.
    Please save me.

Ok two things based on the crash report and the steps you took right before the crash:
    # Try to disable scrolling acceleration and restart Firefox. Does it continue to crash?
    # Try Safe Mode and do the same task as above with email and the pdf [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
    # Also pdf.js may be helpful to read pdfs in the meantime. You can change the default reader in the Preferences/Options > Application menu of Firefox.
    # Try to clear out the downloads folder and update flash to version 14 (that should do it)
IF it crashes again please also provide the new crash signatures and we can take a look :-) Sorry for the crashing :-(

I guess a disk problem. The disks subsystem is in raid 10 (6 disks, 3 stripped  * 2 disks mirrored).
I haven't to now installed specific software to read states about the sas card and the disks, but
    i will seach.
I big question : when a "corrupted date  page" arrived, how do maxDB handle these problem ?
Does le data in the page be lost after repair ?

    > I have 2 "sections" in "diagnosis files" that appeared after a database check, one on 29th 01 and the other yesterday.
    >
    > What can i do with these files ?
Since you've to ask the answer is: nothing.
Developers can use the COR files (these are the dumped corrupt pages) and check, why they were found corrupt.
    > I big question : when a "corrupted date  page" arrived, how do maxDB handle these problem ?
    > Does le data in the page be lost after repair ?
MaxDB does not handle corruptions different than any other DBMS for SAP.
It reports that there is something wrong and gives up trying to read the data.
(Unfortunately MaxDB has yet to learn that not all corruptions are a reason to crash - but that's a different topic...).
Corrupted data can never be repaired - by no DBMS available. It may be possible to recreate the data (e.g. Index rebuild, reloading of BW data etc.) but the database software cannot know what was supposed to be in the damaged data page.
That's one of the reasons, why taking and checking database backups is crucial.
Anyhow, if you are a SAP customer, don't miss to open a support call for this.
    regards,
    Lars

  • Problem attaching microsoft office files to yahoo, hotmail

I have had a lot of trouble attaching office files to my yahoo and hotmail email. I have tried doing it from safari and firefox, as well as moving my preferences folder, reseting safari, changins my cache preferences, and the people at apple were not very helpful on the phone. I do not think it is an issue with safari, as firefox has the same problem, and what are the chances of Yahoo and MSN doing changes to their site at the same time? Does anybody has a similar problem?

Reader has nothing to do with this, since Reader does not create any
files. You have some software that scans your pages to pdf. Before you
try to upload the file as an email attachment you should make sure your
scanning software closed the file. Then you should be able to attach it
to an email. If you cannot then the problem lies with your system, not
    Reader, not gmail, nor yahoo.

  • I recently undated to Firefox 8. When I try to attach a file using yahoo mail I get a message that file cannot be sent. I don't have a problem on Explorer

When I use firefox I cannot attach a file to my outgoing yahoo e-mail. I do not have this problem when I use Explorer. This seems to have started when I updated to Firefox 8.0

Are you trying to open the online document, or are you downloading it to your local disk first.  What is the exact message you get?

Trying to attach a file (I tried pdf, word, excel files) to a gmail when running in Firefox ended with an "Unable to attach file" statement. However, in IEX and Safari the same works properly.
Anybody an idea about this problem?
