Problem autostart applications

Hi,
I have updated my mac 15 '' with OS X Maverick, but I have found a problem:
When I start my laptop both "Mail" and "Microsoft Word" was starting. I have just controlled on System Preferences -->Account--->Login Item, but these application doesn't appear. Also I have controlled on Options --->Open at login and this was unchecked.
I realized that if I close the application with the red button they will open at reboot while if I close the application with Options-->Quit they will not open at reboot.
Why I have this problem?

Hi imaiolo,
Clicking on the red button in the upper left hand of the only open window may or may not quit the program, depending on the specific application. In some cases, it may still be running, only without any open windows (you will see a little mark beneath the running applications in the Dock). By default, applications that were running when the machine shuts down or restarts will be restarted. You may find the following article helpful:

Problem with application

My screen says Adobe 8.0 series encountered a serious problem and application has to be re installed. I do not have the discs in my possession. They are loaded in our office in LA before I was sent the PC. Is there a way that I can re load the application which is installed in my hard drive according to the Control Panel?

And which operating system? If this is Win 7, you can pretty much forget the matter. It's not compatible and a reinstall won't fix it. For anything lese you might wanan give this a spin:

Problem with Application server

Hi All,
I'm facing problem with Application Server. When I installed the appserver and started it.. It started with the message " server has been started and some services will run at back". But when I tried stopping it using the stop default server i got the message that there is no server running but when i saw in the task manager i cud see two process running 1) appserver.exe and 2) imqbroker(something).exe so eventually I had to kill it.
Now when I'm trying to start the application server again its giving me this message "CLI156 Could not start the domain domain1" and below is the log file attached if its of any help

The VERY FIRST message in the server log gives you a hint as to what the problem might be. The server thinks you have spaces in your PATH to the application server. Therefore, the solution is to kill the server however you need to (task manager, whatever) and then reinstall it in a path that doesn't contain spaces. That's the low-hanging fruit here; if that doesn't work, well, then we will have to find some other solution.

Problem with Application Server Portal 9.0.2.0.1.

I have a problem with Application Server Portal and Wireless 9.0.2.0.1.
Firstly I've installed the infrastructure on a Pentium 3 866Mhz 512Mb of Ram, with Windows 2000 Server (Italian) service pack 2.
I've maintained all predefined settings and I've chosen the UTF8 character set.
After installation, my infrastructure and OID works fine. The OID has port 4032 (as set by Oracle Universal Installer) instead of predefined 389.
After this I've installed Application Server Portal and Wireless on another host: a Pentium 3 733Mhz 384Mb of Ram, with Windows 2000 Server (Italian) service pack 2.
I've also maintained all predefined settings and automatic configuration of Portal and Wireless. I've pointed to my Infrastructure.
Try to test the Portal demonstration but an error occurred:
"SERVICE TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE. The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."
On my EM Console I see: component instances 'OC4J_Portal' and 'OC4J_Demos' are UP, instead 'Portal:portal:7777' is down.
On the component lists I've clicked the link of component instance Portal:portal:7777, the 'control services' and 'Accessible Server SSO' are started, while 'Accessible Portal Repository' is down.
What can I do to get my portal started?

Is it possible to make an Autostart application in Java?

I have some stuff that I would like to burn on a CD and I thought that it would be very nice if I could put an autostart application on the same CD which would start as soon as I put this CD in CD-drive. I dont know whether this can be done in Java. I am using Excelsior Jet so I would make this as an usual autostart.exe application.

The only thing you have to do, is to put the JRE on the CD as well. Say in sub-directory jre (you can copy the jre folder from your JDK installation)
I'm not sure how the autostart stuff works, but as far as I can remember it's just the name of an exe. So you could put someting like
jre\javaw.exe -jar MyApplication.jar
into the autostart definition

Problem in Application Help Configuration in Solution Manager

Here I facing one problem during Application Help configuration..
When I am going through application help for Solman Configuration it's taking me to standard erp help..
Where as in SR13, under PlainHtmlHttp,
In path tab I had given <b>saphelp_sm40/helpdata</b> for solution manager document.
But for other standard t-code it's giving actual application help.
where for SMSY,SOLAR01 etc i am not getting the application help.
Looking for advices.

Problems importing application

Hi, everybody.
i'm having some problems importing applications from my dev env to my prod env.
it's something very strange because it was working fine 2 weeks ago, but now it's not running.
i get into the import page, choose the file and then the page keeps with that 'importing file' message forever, and sometimes i get a 'page not found' message.
but yesterday, i don't know why, i could import one small application. After a 'page not found' message i got into the export repository, and there was my file. i installed it and it was done.
some days ago i was told here to take a look at the logs and to increase some parameters in apex. but i don't know if these were the correct parameters and the only logs i found were de Apache logs.
does anyone know what can be happening or at least whar must i look for?

Yesterday I installed Oracle Application Express 3.2.0.00.27.
While doing my r&d, I came across one problem in SQL Command.
For example I wanted to run sql "select * from tab"
When I checked "Autocommit" checkbox it worked fine.
But when I unchecked the "Autocommit" checkbox it gave me following error:

Problem Loading Application to Card

I just purchased a Samsung S3CC9P9 smart card and I have problem loading applications onto the card.
Here is the problem:
On first usage, after successful mutual authentication, the card allows me to load the first application I try loading but after this it refuses to load any other application and responding with the error message 0x6424. I purchased 5 cards and 2 of them are already in this state.
Is there something I am missing-out? Is there somthing I ought to have done?
If I try the same process with my JCOP 31 card I purchased earlier everything works fine.

I agree with Faisal. When you shutdown your WL server while the application is running, the thing is when you start your server again, it would automatically start the application with it. Now if the application was down when you shutdown the server, it _the application_ won't start with the server.
So it depends on the application last state, when you start your server.

Did you change any AppleID accounts or anything? I've seen this happen when changing accounts or certain restore situations.
If you are using iCloud you should be able to reset your phone to Factory Defaults and restore from iCloud, but it always makes me nervous.

I have problems synching my iPhones 4s with my MAcbook pro (10.8.2) and iTunes (11.0.1). I can connect my iphone 4s(6.0.1) directly to my macbook pro or via the same network. I can start the synch via itunes or my phone. 20% of the time it works. If often says unknown error or problem with application. The software is up to date. What can I try? Thank you

The iphone/ipod is NOT a storage/backup device. Not maintaining a backup copy is a big mistake.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone/ipod to your computer:
Authorize your computer for all accounts and then click File>Transfer Purchases
