I have got a Iphone 3G.
I installed ios 4.
And since everything is slower.
Did Apple make a mistake about the adaptivity og 3 and ios 4 ?

no, the reason for your 3g being slower is because the ios4 was made for the iphone 4(a faster phone with x2 faster processor. the 3gs works very well with it and that is because they have a faster processors than the 3g. the 3g is compatible but since the ram is half of the iphone 4, you are noticing this. i have a 3g and ios4 made my phone slightly slower. i restored my phone as a new phone and i still saw that it was slow

I have a brand new iPhone 5s with IOS 7.02 on Verizon. Everything works great except when on talk on the phone the normal way. When I do that, people tell me they can hardly hear me. But, when I put them on the speaker phone, they can hear me very well. Also, Voice Memos, and SIri all work just fine. It is only when I talk on the phone the normal way (without the speakerphone on) that the voice quality I am transmitting is very low. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks very much.

Apple helped me solve this problem. They gave me a brand new iPhone 5s. The were just great in their support. It appears that my first iPhone 5s had a faulty "audio chip." This is the chip that changes the frequency of your voice as you talk into the microphone; Apple explained that it is one frequency when talking on the phone, and another where using the speakerphone, and another when using Siri, and another when using voice memos, etc. You use the same 2 microphones for all of these applications (one at the bottom of the phone, and one my the camera lens), but the "audio chip" adjusts the freqency based on the applicaiton you are using. So, on my first iPhone 5s, my "audio chip" was defective, so they gave me a new iPhone 5s, and it has been working just fine. I had the most current IOS operating system on the original iPhone 5s with the faulty "audio chip," and on my new iPhone 5s which works great. Hope this helps. The technicians at Apple Customer Care and at the Apple Store are very aware of this problem with potentially defective "audio chips" in some of the iPhone 5s's. Cheers, Clarence from Cleveland.

I too have the same problem. I updated a 4S 16GB to 6.1.0>6.1.1>6.1.2 and the phone is often saying no service. iPhone 5 on same network with same update works.
We connected the 4s to iTunes and clicked restore so iTunes would download full 6.1.2 update and install to the handset and its much much better but it's not completely fixed the issue.
It's 100% only happened since 6.1.2 update
We went to Genius Bar and its 3 months since Warrenty expired so they wanted £139 GBP to replace handset as they could see 6.1.2 had broken handset. I didn't feel we should pay for apples mistake and left the store.

Sync problem between iPhone and iTunes (Music&Books)

Hello, I have a synchronization problem between the macbook and iPhone 5S. On the macbook I've Maverik updated and also the Iphone is updated.
First problem: the timing so long, especially at the step of applications, compared to when it was fast, applications have not changed.
Second problem: the music, I flagged "synchronizes the selected music" but all the flags on the selected artists are missing, despite what the music is on iPhone . I tried to flag again on itunes but all song was duplicate in Iphone.
Third problem: the books, it happens the same music.
The problem does not occur with the photo with the ringtones and videos.
I've tried everything from simple restart of the mac and the iPhone, checked and updated macbook, iPhone and itunes. Repaired permissions on the mac.
What can I do?

Ciao, da un po' di giorni ho un problema di sincronizzazione fra il macbook e l' Iphone 5S. Sul macbook ho Maverik aggiornato e anche il telefono non JB è aggiornato.
Primo problema: la sincronizzazione dura tanto, sopratutto allo step delle applicazioni, rispetto a quando era veloce le applicazioni non sono cambiate.
Secondo problema: la musica, ho flaggato "sincronizza la musica selezionata" ma sono spariti tutti i flag sugli artisti selezionati, ciò nonostante la musica è presente sull' iphone. Ho provato a riselezionarli e me li duplica tutti.
Terzo problema: i libri, succede la stessa della musica.
Il problema non si manifesta con le foto con le suonerie e i video.
Ho provato di tutto a partire dal semplice riavvio del mac e del telefono, controllato e aggiornato macbook, telefono e itunes. Riparato permessi sul mac.
Cosa posso fare?

My service carrier told me that Apple had eliminated the visual voicemail, which is included in my monthly plan, and I would like to confirm that? Im running an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1

Did you also tried restore as new? Maybe your backup is corrupted.

Is there a fix for the incompatibility issue between iphone 5c running ios 7 and sentra bluetooth?

So i can pair my iphone 5c running ios 7 successfully with my 2012 sentra, bluetooth, however when placing and receiving calls, I hear a clicking, constant and unnverving. My wife's LG Cosmos works without a hitch. I can use it to make calls, etc through my nav system (may have to switch until there is a fix to iphone 5c). The nissan website indicates that compatible iphones go up to iphone 5. Anyone know of a fix for ios 7, iphone 5c? or any other workaround.

I ended up getting a new phone, straight through Apple. I called their technical support and went through all he basics again and they decided to replace it. Was a pretty quick process - after defaulting and resetting the whole phone (about 2 hours), I called them back to inform that there was no change, so they set up the order.
I had to give my CC# so they could hold a charge on it (in case I didn't send my old phone bach, which they sent me a pre-posted package to send it in anyway). Had a brand new iPhone 4S in my hands in 4 days, which was pretty decent. I had uploaded everything previously to iCloud, so setting up the new phone was a snap.
Only thing I really didn't like was they charged me almost 30 bucks for shipping or processing, or something. Not so sure that should have been my responsibility after spending so much on a brand new product, only to have to have it warrantied after, like, a month.

Iphoto syncing problem w/iphone 4s after ios 7.0.2 upgrade

I synced my iphone (4s w/ios 7) with Macbook and it was able to upload hundreds of photos but won't recognize some 300 more. When trying to resync a different time, iphoto on Macbook doesn't register seeing any photos on my phone.
THoughts?

Try performing a hard reset (holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo appears) or connect to your computer with iTunes to see if that will boot it up.

FaceTime video problem on iPhone 4 running ios 7

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 and now my outgoing FaceTime video (what others see) has a poor quality, to the point that it is almost blurry. This never happened before, even on the same WiFi connection I always use. Any fixes?

AirDrop between iPhone 6 plus (iOS 8.1) and MacBook Pro retina early 2013 not working

Hi there,
Can somebody please help me. I ent to transfer so videos that I have saved via airdrop To my MacBook pro from my iPhone 6plus.
When I try to send via airdrop, neither my phone shows the MacBook as available not does my MacBook show that my phone is available to send/receive files via airdrop. I have wifi and Bluetooth activated. Please can somebody help? I can't email the files because they are too large for that.

Don't see who you're looking for?
When you select AirDrop, OS X looks for other Mac computers and devices that are nearby that also use AirDrop. If you don't see someone in the AirDrop window, here are some things to check.
Preventing senders
You can prevent people you don't know from sending you files, or you can allow everyone. If you don't see a recipient in the AirDrop window, they might only accept files from people who in their Contacts list. Ask them to add you in their Contacts app, or have them select the option "Allow me to be discovered by: Everyone" in the AirDrop window.
Sending files to and from an older Mac
If a Mac you're using with AirDrop was manufactured before 2012, you can send and receive files with other Mac computers.
On the sending Mac, click "Don't see who you're looking for" in the AirDrop window.
Select the option to "Search for an Older Mac."
On the receiving Mac, open a new Finder window and click AirDrop in the sidebar.
Tips for sending files
Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on your Mac and your iOS device. Although you don't have to connect to a specific network, Wi-Fi needs to be on to send and receive files using AirDrop.
Move your devices closer together. AirDrop is designed to work within a range of approximately 30 feet (9 meters). If you need to send a file to someone farther away, consider using File Sharing, iCloud, or email instead.
If you're using a firewall on your Mac, you won't be able to receive AirDrop files if you have enabled "Block all incoming connections" in the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences.

Problems with Iphone 4 and IOS 5

My iphone 4 was updated to IOS 5 and Itunes updated to 10.5. Since then I have had issues with new apps authorizing with Itunes and one app (Geocaching) in particular will not work or update. Any ideas?

I've had the same problem since 7/26 with iOS4.3.3, and it got worse when I upgraded it to 4.3.5!! What can be worse than having a phone battery that lasts <6hrs (from 100% to 0%!!!) while travelling?!!! and it's uncomfortably hot.....
I have turned off all the data, 3G/Wifi <as I'm travelling>; stop all the push mails / notifications/....; checked that I've closed all the apps & web pages;...and even put it in airplane mode....but it's still not working properly.
who can help us????
I'm trying to reduce the # of apps by 80% and to switch off the MS exchange mail a/c. the phone seems to be cooler now, but will see if it works.

Problems with iPhone 5 and IOS 7

Since yesterday my iPHone 5 has been turning off and would only turn back on when I connect it to the charger. It has been doing that since this morning which lead me to restore the phone. First I tried restoring it to my latest backup and that didn't work. Then I tried restoring it as a new phone, which some what worked, but it is not allowing the backup to restore my data & information or do anything. I started logging back in to all of my apps or use my iPhone but the phone keeps rebooting itself. Now the I am dealing with the phone turning off on its own and will only turn back on when I connect it to the charger except it is not turning back on completely. Now my phone will only turn on to the white screen with the apple logo, go black, and repeat. Should I just give it a day and allow Apple to fix the problem or had anyone found a solution that actually works. Has anyone gone to the Apple Store to receive help and was there any success in to fixing the problem? I hope this is not some April fools joke.

Since it seems the white screen is the most current issue, these steps will help:
Display shows a white screen
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
If the iPhone will not turn off, try to reset it.
If that doesn't work, try restoring the device.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
Contact Apple Support.
If that issue is resolved and the phone continues to require you to connect it to power to function:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
