Problem composing SMS

Hello, I need any help I can get. I use BB Curve 8320 fron Airtel Nigeria:
Issues:
1) Recently I discovered that I can no longer compose sms by following the normal route " Menu, Compose sms". When I press that nothing happens. I found that I can still compose an sms by going through "contact and sms contact"
2) I cannot edit contact groups in my BB unlike before. When I add to the group, save and exits, it will not exit, but presents me with option of save, discard and cancel. If I press save, the options disappear, but I would not exit. After going through this several times, I will discard as the only way out and the edit I did to the group will not stay.
3) I cannot forward sms like I used to do before. When I go "Menu, forward", nothing happens. The message will still be displayed as before without opening a place to put the message and the receipient.
Any quick help will be appreciated.

Maybe your phone developed a bug or the theme you're using now (that is if you changed your theme) isn't right to its senses. Try to go on the main menu, press menu button the go to options, when you get there select reset theme defaults. It could be something that small

Use the MMS option it'll work just fine.

"Compose SMS" not showing up on the messaging options

When I go to the message application and click the menu button, "Compose SMS" does not show up in the list. I am able to receive text messages but I cannot reply to them either. Can anyone help me?

Are You on a BES or using a BIS Service?
If your're on a BES (receiving corporate email on your device) the IT administrator can block the ability to send sms messages.
Which would stop the option to 'compose sms'.
Silly question because it should have been the first thing you did, but have you pulled the battery out with it SWITCHED ON and NOT plugged into anything?

Trouble composing sms txt/ placing a call- PLEASE HELP

Hi- Ive had my curve for almost two months and its worked fine. However, today when I go to my message screen and press the menu button then press to compose sms text or the place call button it goes right back to all my messages. Its only 'sms text' and 'place call.' I can compose a text if i got to the address book and choose a contact but not straight from the message screen.
I went to the place where I got my phone and he said it was because I didnt have an internet package but its worked fine before.
I tried: charging my phone, turning it on and off and deleting all my old messages (i still have lots of memory left)
please please please help me!!

Can't open or compose SMS on OS v5.0

Hello people, am new to this forum, I own a storm 9500 phone. It works fine on os v4.7 but after upgrading to version 5.0 I find I am unable to open my SMS messages, I receive them, but I cat open them to view. Also if I try to compose SMS, after entering the number or contact, once I click OK , everything goes off, I don't get to the SMS editing screen. Help please, cos downgrading back to v4.7 sucks... From what you are describing regarding your SIM card and SMS , this would be service related, and you would need to contact your service provider.
Also if you do not have the option for personal email this would be a service related issue as well with your BlackBerry services on your account and you would need to contact your service provider to verify the correct BlackBerry services are enabled.

A problem with SMS

Hi! I have problems using SMS. When I remove one of the sms of dialogue. In iOS 7 dialogue immediately descend on the date that is consistent with the last remaining SMS dialog . Now, despite the fact that the message is deleted , the dialogue itself remains in the same place on the same date . What is the problem?

Not found in Contacts - erorr message when composing SMS text message after Software Update 1.07 Sprint Centro

Hardware: Palm Centro
Wireless: Sprint
PC OS: Windows XP Pro
After installing the "Software Update 1.07 (Windows installer) for Centro for Sprint" (Article ID: 6012 - http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/6012_en.html) starting from http://sprint.com/downloads, I noticed the stock Palm Messaging application that comes with the device did not work as it did prior to the update.
I was able to fix it. Here's what the problem was and what I did to correct it.
"Not found in Contacts" message appeared when composing and addressing a new SMS text message.
In the Contacts app, Options>Preferences, I simply reordered the contacts from "Last Name, First Name" to "Company, Last Name", and saved the change.
I then immediately went back into the same preference, and changed the setting back from "Company, Last Name" to "Last Name, First Name", and saved that change.
Going back to the Messaging application, when composing a new message, now the Contacts database is linked again. Whew!

N91 problem sending SMS with non English character...

Hello I own a N91 4GB version. I have upgraded to version 2.20.008. I checked recently and have not found a newer version available for download.
When composing an SMS a counter appears on the upper part of the screen, which shows how many characters remain and how many SMS(s) will be sent.
When I use my native language, i.e. Greek, the counter starts as usual with 160 characters. When I type the first character it drops to 69 characters and then it works correctly decreasing the counter by 1. The result is that the phone sends more than 1 SMS even if there are no more than 160 characters.
The problem does not appear if I use English characters.
Is there a way to fix this? Do other users have the same problem?

I haven't seen N91's exact menu but i suppose it has similarities with my N95. They both run S60.

N80 - Composing SMS

Does anyone have a fix for the following bug, or had any contact with Nokia in regards to it.
I have a Nokia N80 on Three. Had 2 handsets already and my 2nd handset has already had the firmware upgraded (this was done less than a week ago) and a fault with the phone losing the connection with memory card fixed (this hasn't been completely fixed but better than it was before it was sent away for repair).
When I compose an SMS, sometimes when write a long SMS the text starts dissapearing off the left hand side of the page. It's like the phone doesn't recognise the margins. This happens every 2 or 3 texts usually closing the sms down and starting again from the drafts folder works.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

ok this is my personal advice to you guys....
1.get the phone unlocked- ive found that unlocked phones seem to work better than network locked phones...my n80 is unlocked and half of the problems on this site i have never experienced and the ones i did was only once or twice(bluetooth connection & wifi or lack thereof...) only other problem that remains in that my catalogs wont load....(any advice??)
2. get your phone flashed...this is an operation that DOES NOT UPGRADE your firmware but stabilizes it....but it comes with a huge risk....which is that nokia will not flash your phone thus by doing so you will void the warranty....(decisions decisions)
my phone was bought unlocked so ive never encountered these problems.....
oh and do it in the order i told you unlock then flash...
but please reply to me and let me know what youve done and if the problem has been solved.....

Composing SMS from Contact List

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 and when I go into my contact list and select a name to SMS and then add another recepient to send the same message to it comes up with first person I selected to SMS again i.e. I picked Wendy first and added Brian to send the same message to, yet it shows Wendy's name twice. Yet, when I go to check the two mobile ph#'s that I'm sendin the SMS to, they are different as I expect. Also, if I save the SMS as a draft, and I open it up again in my email inbox it displays Wendy & Brian's name correctly. Furthermore, if I compose a SMS from my email inbox I don't get the problem I've mentioned above. Is there a way to solve this?

SCCM console connection problem to SMS provider

I have installed sccm in the bolw deisgn for the lack of Cluster test environment. It is just to test SCCM HA.
SQL 2008 and SCCM 2012 Site server in two separate physical box(win 2008) and installed additional sms provider to another windows 2003 box. I am trying to connect the console installed on SQL box to new SMS provider(win 2003 box). It does
not connect. What could be the reason? Is it possible by technology at all or not? If it is, how could it be possible?

I have just updated to iOS 5.1 for iphone 4s. I have problem sending sms or make call. Can anyone please help

I just updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 5.1. Since the update, I am not able to make calls or send sms. I reset network settings several times but not luck. I have also turned off data and 3G but no luck.
Could anyone please help me? Right now, my iPhone 4s is use-less.

I have a similar problem...iMessage is not working for me. I can only send SMS and when I try to activate it an error will come up. It won't even let me use my Apple ID.

Contact disply problem in SMS and calls S850

I have recently bought S850 from China and using it in Pakistan. When i saved any number without country code (0333xxxxxxx) incoming sms does not recognized the sender and sms incoming number shows with country code like +92 333 xxxxxxx.
However, if i save the number with country code, +92 333 xxxxxxx, incoming call sender is not recognize by the phone, it shows 0333 xxxxxxx.
please help.

Like I said you have the Chinese S850 version running a Chinese firmware build....Don't know where that setting is located on the Chinese model.
The only advise I could give you is to install/flash(AT OWN RISK) the ROW International firmware.On the ROW firmware you won't have this problem.You'll also be able to OTA update to any new ROW firmware releases.

Problem with SMS-Service

Hey, I have a big Poblem with my iPhone 3gs, 16gb.
The Screen was broken and I sent it for repair.
After I got it back, it works without problems but then I tried to send a SMS and nothing happened!
When I press "send" it goes to my homescreen/menu.
I have no idea what´s wrong with it and I found nothing about this in web.

Not that I'm a Verizon employee, but I have experience in the field. An LTE tower will only extend up to, on a perfect day, with no elevation, 6-7 miles. On a typical day, you will be lucky at four (4) miles. The three ZIP codes you've given are all within about a 12 mile radius. That would mean that 2-3 towers are currently down at the same time, and Verizon would know about it within the hour. Being it's Cleveland, I'm sure they would receive numerous calls regarding an outage of that size.
My point is that if you're having issues in all three ZIP codes, chances are it's a phone issue. If you're handset is simply not receiving LTE, but still receiving 3G, that would signify a SIM card issue. You need to get your SIM card replaced.
