Hello everyone i have a biiiig problem i just bought a new wifi adapter the AE6000 model and i have problem to connect to my router it says windows was unable to conect to (wireless Network)
my ssid is hidden but i treid also normal the default settings of the router it has the same problem .... it barelly conects after many failures it connects but thats makes me crazy please help thank you

I have an AE6000 to test connectivity with hidden SSID's. I won't be able to do this until much later today. Didn't you mention the AE6000 was having issues connecting to unhidden SSID's?
What is your wireless router configuration?
Ex:
protocol: a\b\n\an\ac
wireless channel
wireless channel width
2.4Ghz and 5Ghz settings
interference from other wireless routers running on the same channel as yours
Please remember to Kudo those that help you.

  • Problem with microsoft virtual WiFi Miniport adapter

Hi, I am Shakil Rahman. For last 4-5 days, the wireless interent connection has not been working. I have tried to figure out the problem with the aid of internet since I am not so efficient about computer. According to the information obtained from internet,
the problem is with microsoft virtual WiFi Miniport adapter and there is a 'Triangle symbol' (Symbol of attention) unlike Atheros AR5B93 wireless network adapter and Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet under the 'Network Adapters' title. In this circumstances,
how can I fix this problem to enable wireless connection? I would be grateful if you help me out.

    Hi Shakil Rahman
You can try to uninstall your WIFI adapter driver in your Device Manager, then reboot your computer, the system will find and reinstall the driver automatically.
If there is no use, please contact your computer manufacture for further  help.

  • USB wifi adapter can only handle one request or socket at a time

I have a usb wifi adapter that I bought recently.  The strange thing is that if I'm doing only one thing that is using the network (e.g. downloading a file) it works good and fast. But say I'm downloading a file and I do ANYTHING else that uses the network (e.g. just opening a browser at google.ca), the download comes to a stop. Then if I close the browser, the download starts up again a couple seconds later, good and fast.
Another example is, say I'm in a Google Hangouts (video chat) session. As long as that is the only thing I have running, the chat works fine. If I open a second browser window, then the chat gets super choppy and pretty much un-usable until I close the second window.
So basically it seems like I can have only one open socket at a time, or else it can handle only one request at a time. Also, most webpages open very slowly as a result because the browser only seems to be able to download one static file at a time (e.g. js and css files needed by the page).
I'm sure it's a problem with the usb wifi adapter because I didn't have these problems when I was on a wired connection, and I have other devices using wifi (e.g. laptops and tablets) that don't have this problem either.
Rather than paste a bunch of output from commands, please kindly tell me what to run in order to gather any useful info.
    Thanks,
Edit:  The adapter is an ASUS USB n-53 (N600).

I was exploring the CD that came with the device.  Turns out there are Linux drivers on it.  I didn't install any drivers, as wicd detected it automatically.  I'm wondering if changing drivers might help.  Can someone help me interpret the installation instructions?
    Here are the instructions

  • Problems sharing wifi adapter with host - Windows 8.1

    Hi All,
I'm having a frustrating problem with Hyper-V which is basically making it unusable on my laptop. I can't get the wifi adapter to work reliably for the guest, when it's also shared by the host.
What I've done is create a external adapter connected to my wifi card (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030), and checked "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter".
The guest can connect to this, but the connection constantly drops in and out. By constant I mean it could be dropping and reconnecting a couple of times a second. This only happens when I share the adapter with the host. If I turn that off, then the guest
    gets a reliable connection.
This only happens with the wifi. If I'm connected to the wired adapter (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller), then I can share the adapter between the guest and host just fine.
I'm assuming this means there's some kind of conflict between the host and the guest for the wifi adapter. I'm guessing that whenever the host transmits or receives anything that this then must be taking priority and the guest VM gets kicked off momentarily,
only to try to reconnect again straight away.
I'm wondering if this is a fundamental hardware incompatibility with my wifi card, or if there might be some setting I can change, or protocol I can enable to get it to work properly?
    - Relevant Information -
    Host
    OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
    Laptop: Dell XPS 17 - L702X, 8GB Ram, i7-2720 QM
    Guest
    OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
    VM Generation: 2
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Eugene

    Hi Eugene,
    >>The guest can connect to this, but the connection constantly drops in and out. By constant I mean it could be dropping and reconnecting a couple of times a second. This only happens when I share the adapter with the host. If I turn that off,
then the guest gets a reliable connection.
If the host and VM are getting IP address from DHCP server , you will see the host and VM are tring to get same IP address .
As a workaround please set static IP addresses for all VMs connecting to that external virtual switch  .
Also you can use ICS to share the wireless NIC to VMs , it was explained within following article :
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2008/01/09/using-hyper-v-with-a-wireless-network-adapter.aspx
(In addition to this article , the IP address of that "internal virtual switch" should be same as the VMs' gateway )
    Best Regards,

  • WIFI problems solved with D-Link USB WIFI adapter...

I have a brand new Macbook Air and I have persistent problems connecting to my home wifi network. Sometimes I can connect to the router but not the internet, but usually Airport won't connect at all: it keeps asking me for the password for our home network (even though it's stored), so I re-enter the password, but it still can't connect. When it gets to this point I know that I either have to live without internet for the rest of the day, or disrupt my work and everyone else in the household by rebooting my computer and reseting the router (sometimes just one of these actions will work, but it's unpredictable).
So I bought a D-Link DWA-125 USB wireless adapter and installed drivers from Ralink (http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=3) and it pretty much solves the issue.
I don't know what further proof Apple needs that this is a problem with the Air and not the internet/router/etc. It's rather comical that I have to use an ugly old USB adapter to get a brand new Macbook Air to connect to internet in my own home.

I've had my Macbook for 2 yrs and the wifi basically never worked - only when I'm right next to the router, at school, or of course the Apple Store. I tried to get apple to fix it under AppleCare, but since it was working perfectly in the store, they said there was nothing they could do.
If your Mac works well at school, or the Apple Store but not at home, the problem definetly  is not the Mac and therefore there is no need to buy a external usb wifi device.
You better will fix the settings of your home router and after that your Mac will be fast and smooth on your home wifi.
I've had only on very rare situations a problem with d-link routers over the years and think (if not damaged) even your d-link will work pretty good with your Mac.
Would you be so kind and explain the settings of your home router and what model it is?

  • Problem with T500 Intel Wifi Link 5300 adapter connectivity

I upgraded my T500 to Windows 7 Professional from Vista Business.  Since upgrading, I have been unable to obtain satisfactory WiFi connectivity.  Symptoms are that I cannot stream from either the internet or my local server without experiencing periodic interruptions and/or total drops.  I've tried reinstalling the driver, replacing the WiFi card itself, and adjusting the parameters associated with the adapter card.  Nothing seems to help.  I also own a T61 laptop which I also upgraded from Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional, and I have had no problems with WiFi connectivity on that machine.  It also has an Intel Wifi adapter but a different model.  Both laptops connect to my LAN and the internet through the same D-Link wireless access router.
I'm beginning to suspect that the Windows 7 driver for this particular WiFi adapter is flawed.  Has anyone in this forum had a similar experience?
Thanks in advance for your comments/assistance.

    (speaking french)
try to use your laptop without 'energy star'. setup full speed processor to maximum.
I thinks the problem turn around win7 and 'energy saving driver'

  • Wifi adapter problems

    Hi
I recently bought this laptop the hp pavilion 11-n116tu x360 and right from the start there has been issues relating to the wifi. On start everything is working fine but as soon as i start using the internet on the laptop it stops working. First it doesn't show anyother networks but does show the network i am connected to but it says limited. If i unconnect from this network i can not reconnect because it disappers on my laptop. I have tried different networks including my own and public networks and results have been the same. I also noticed that in device manger the wifi adapter will go missing if i disconnect from the network that is limited. I have tried uninstalling the adapter and restarting my laptop but it still doesn't work. Everything seems to be up to date as well. The adapter that is installed is intel dual band wireless-ac 3160. The device ids for this adapter are as followes
    Pci\ven_8086&dev_08b3&subsys_00708086&rev_83

Hope the guys from Lenovo are listening. I'm having problems with the wifi on my ThinkPad T61. I'm running Windows 10. When through for the day I shut my t61 down. Every time when I restart the wifi doesn't connect. To get it to connect I have to go to control panel, network, troubleshoot connection. Windows then tells me it had to reset my wifi adapter. After it does that the problem is fixed until the next time I shutdown. Then it starts all over. I can't seem to find any updated wifi drivers. Anyone got any ideas?

  • ITunes on iMac with USB g/b wifi adapter won't detect other Apple devices

    Hi guys
I have an iMac 20" running OSX 10.6 (latest version) from about 2006 which the built-in wifi adapter broke on so I now use a USB wifi g/b adapter which works fine for connecting to our wifi router/modem.
The problem I have is that my other apple devices, an iPhone 4, my old iPhone 3G and my 2nd gen Apple TV cannot connect to my computer. My iPhone and Apple TV connect to each other with no problem at all.
I am wondering whether the fact that the USB wifi adapter on my iMac only runs g/b and not n is likely to be the cause. If anyone knows if this is the case or has any other suggestions I would appreciate it very much as I'd really like to use content from my iMac on my Apple TV.
    Many thanks
    Neil

I suggest you post over in the correct -> iMac forum or the Snow Leopard - networking forum

  • My apple tv mirroring is slow.  So slow it shuts off.  Any thoughts on cause?  I use this device in my office for presentations without a problem.  In my home with a stronger wifi router, I'm having issues.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • I am having problems connecting to my home wifi with my iphone4s

Over the past couple of weeks I have experienced a problem connecting to my home wifi service (Sky) with my iphone4s although my laptop connects fine. My phone also picks up the wifi at my place of work. At home when in close proximity to the router (netgear) on the phone the network name appears in the wifi settings but on the wifi networks page it does not get a tick against the name (wheel just keeps revolving). I have taken it back to the retailer (Vodaphone) and they recommend it be sent back to Apple (Liverpool or Manchester) as they consider it a hardware fault. I will be without the phone for probably 1-2 weeks and I use it within my working environment regularly.
    Has any one any ideas?
    jd
ps. If I go down the route of 'forget this Network' will I need to do any resets on the router as I cant find the username and password when I enter my IP address for the router.

    are u there

"This is a flaw in OS X Lion. It does not want to connect to open WiFi that has a login page that open in a browser."
Nonsense, no problems logging in at sites that you mention. I use OpenDNS servers. For the OP try:
System Preferences>Network>Advanced>DNS. In the left side column click on the + sign and insert the following:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
Then click OK, then click Apply.

Tell your wife to get her own Apple ID. If you do not want continuity/handoff to work with calls, on both devicesgo to Settings==>>FaceTime==>> Turn OFF iPhone cellular calls.

    You could try this
Temporarily disable security on your home network
    See if the iPad connects
If it does then reset the security - with the same or different password
