I have install oracle9i R2 in Windows 2000 Advance Server, i have one router/firewall in the network local connecting service DSL (internet) and want access the data base from remote client accross modem.
I can make it?

Problem connecting wirelessly to router

I am having problems connecting to a router. I know it works because another computer can connect, no problem. It requests a WPA-2 password and the other computer enters an 8-digit code and they connect, no problem. My MacAir reconizes the network (router) but won't accept the same code the other laptop sitting next to me is able to use. The laptop that can get in asked for a "security key." The Mac asks for a password. Not sure if the nuance makes a difference. Has anyone else had issues like this?

I'm unable to connect wirelessly to router using a HP laptop with windows 7. I have 2 xp laptops that connect without a problem. The HP laptop finds network, but once I click on network to connect, it does not ask for the security code therefore I can not connect to network.

Hi. I think you need to verify your router MAC Filtering. I would suggest to disable it first. Check this link,

Windows 7 Update Internet Connection Issue with Router

I updated two of four toshiba laptops with Windows 7 and installed Toshiba's wireless adapter driver for Windows 7. The adapter connects to the router and I can access all resources on my home network, however, Internet service is not available on the two laptops with the Windows 7 update. After disconnecting and reconnecting 7-10 times, the Internet Service connection does not drop. The other two laptops and two desktops that are not running Windows 7 do not have this problem. Is there any known issues with lynksys wireless routers and Windows 7?

When your Windows 7 machine is having problems, can it ping the following IP addresses:
127.0.0.1 (local loopback)
192.168.1.x - the DHCP IP address it was issued by the router
192.168.1.254 - your router
8.8.8.8 - Google DNS out on the internet

Trouble connection Laptop with Router

Linkysys Cisco Wireless-N WRT160N, My connection is fine, My sons laptop will not show my router in his connections. At times it will, and then at times it won't. Most of the time when it shows, he can not connect. We both have Network Magic, when having Network Magic try to fix the connection it never works. I have added his laptop on my devices. He has no problem connection with his Xbox. just the laptop, I am at a loss of what to do. Thanks

I assume that you are loosing both your wired and your wireless connection at the same time. Is that correct?
The most common cause for this is peer-to-peer (P2P) software. If you are running P2P software, go into the program and reduce the number of connections that the program makes.
If this is not your problem, please give more details. Also, please include your router model and version, ISP, the make and model of your modem, and how your system is set up.

Kodak gave me advice onthis problem. Entered security key in upper case instead of lower and it solved the problem . No help from BT on this.

What john46 says is quite correct, also Kodak would give you NO support for setting up the Home Hub..

Problem connecting ipod with dvd

Hi. I have an ipod nano. Before installing software version 1.2 I could connect it with my dvd via usb and manage it as a external disk, but after installing ipod software version 1.2 my dvd does not recognize ipod when I connect it via usb. I also have an ipod video with the same software and have the same problem. Anyone could help me?.

If you have a new enough iPod, they are now requiring an apple adapter that has the apple computer chip in it to work. I did a general search on the web and came up with better info than here.

Problem connecting AppleTV with ethernet

I have an AppleTV2 that works perfectly connected to Wifi, but if I connect via Ethernet, it cant find my ITunes Library on my computer. The AppleTv still is able to stream from the internet and is connected to the Internet but does not find any computers on the network. Also my iphone cannot find my AppleTV. If I unplug the ethernet cord and go on the wifi, it has no problem connecting. How can I connect via ethernet and see my ITunes library?
Here is the setup of my network: I have an iMac, connected via ethernet to Airport Extreme. The Airport Extreme is connected via Ethernet to a Motorola router that I am using as a switch that is in my basement. The Motorola router is then connected via ethernet to a switch that is connected to my AppleTv as well as a few other devices. All the devices connected have no problem finding the Internet connection.

Try connecting the Apple TV 2 to the airport extreme. My setup is an iMac , iPad and two iPhones connected wirelessly via airport extreme. My apple tv 2 is connected via Ethernet to the airport extreme. It all works fine and have had no issues.

Problem connecting wirelessly with HP 6310 printer

Since our computer automatically updated from Windows 8 to 8.1 a couple of weeks ago, we have not been able to use our HP 6310 printer. It connects with the computer through a wireless internet router. Have updated the HP driver to 8.1 to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I read your post about how you cannot use your Officejet 6310 printer since upgrading to Windows 8.1. I have a few ideas that come to mind that I am going to suggest and I hope they help!
1. Run the Print and Scan Doctor, which may find the problem and correct it.
2. Make sure the printer can make copies.
3. Try Uninstalling the Printer Software, restarting the PC and reinstall - HP Photosmart and Officejet Full Feature Software and Drivers

Problem connecting mobile with PC by cable

Hello, I'm a Nokia 3110 classic user. I have a problem with the connection from my 3110 classic to the PC. I use a Mini-USB cable (from my HP digicam). After I updated my PC Suite nothing works anymore. Reinstalling doesn't help, too. When I connect my mobile with the PC the driver installation assistant of Windows XP appears but the installation fails because there's a problem with the 'Nokia Phone Parent Driver'. What can I do? Plz help me to solve this problem :-(

Having problems connecting Coldfusion10 with sql server express 2012

I am having problems setting up a datasource for a local sql express 2012 server. Its running as the default instance. Connections are working with ODBC and client told just not Coldfusion.
When I try to set up a connection using the sql driver I get this error:
Connection verification failed for data source: Leaf

The issue is likely caused by you not having yet assigned port 1433 in SQL Express itself. Follow the procedure described on the following page, and you should solve the problem: http://www.tensixconsulting.com/2012/02/sqlserverexception-the-tcpip-connection-to-the-hos t-port-1433-has-failed/
In particular, remember to assign port 1433 to 127.0.0.1 and to IPAll. Also set 'Active' and 'Enabled' to 'Yes' for the IP 127.0.0.1. While you're at it, if 'Named Pipes' is disabled, you should right-click on it and select 'enable'. Afterwards, restart the Windows service 'SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS)'.
It is advisable to allow ColdFusion server authentication. However, the SQL Express server is configured by default to allow only Windows authentication. This conflict may lead to errors.
Should you then encounter the dreaded Error 233: "No process is on the other end of the pipe", proceed as follows. Open the tool Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Right-click on the name of your database server, then on Properties. In the user interface that opens, click on Security. Select the combined 'SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode'. Restart the service 'SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS)'.

Problems Connecting to My Router

Hi there
On both my Macbook and iMac, I am unable to connect to my Netgear router. It's a DG834PN, and I am running Leopard. I can connect after several tries, but it keeps saying "Timed Out" when I try and connect. But if you do it over and over again it will eventually connect. My Network has no encryption on it, as I thought this might have caused the problem. The SSID is also visible. Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be here?

You need to go into the wireless settings, and remove the BT WiFi or you can move it down further in the list and put the router that you just added in a higher priority in the list so it will try to connect to that one first before connecting to the BT. Go to Settings > Network, and in there at the bottom of the window on the right hand side, there is an "Advanced" button. When you click on that, it will give you the preferred list of networks, you can click on the BT network and click the minus button which will remove it. Otherwise you can click and drag them in the order that you want your computer to connect to them.

Problem connecting wrt300 with DSL

I am having diffuculty with a new wrt300. I cannot even access it with my network connection from my computer to see the address. I want to add this to an exsting wired network using an ATT dsl connection. Any suggestions would help. I tried reseting router and it did not help at all.

1)connect the computer to the router LAN port number 1 ...
2)reset the router for 30 seconds and do a power cycle
3)once the router is rebooted , check whether the computer gets an ip add or not.
4)if yes, check whether it can ping the router..
5)if it can ping the router , access the router using http://192.168.1.1 and make the required configurations
6)if the computer does not receive an ip add or receives ip add as 0.0.0.0 , assign a static ip add on the computer - 192.168.1.10 and check whether it pings the router or not...
