Problem connecting a 6310i to a CARK-112 car kit

Hi,
I'm trying to connect a 6310i to my CARK-112 car kit.
The Nokia phone detects the car kit as "Carkit 112" but when I hit select to pair with it I do not get the option to enter a passcode, instead it displays "device not available"
The car is secondhand and had the car kit previously fitted, I have located the brain and have the appropriate 4 digit passcode.
Anyone done it or can help me?
John.

It sounds like the cark-112 has all the connections full, you will need to reset the car kit. Press and hold the buttom for 5 seconds and you should hear a long bleep. Try this with ignition off.

Any ideas I'm pulling my hair out !!!

Seems to be a hardware issue and you'll have to get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider, an Apple Store , to see if other 3rd party charger will work at their place.

  • Problems connecting Nano 7th generation to bluetooth in car

Why does my new nano 7th generation have problems connecting to my cars's bluetooth.  All it does is search, search, search.etc etc etc?

Does your car use the A2DP Bluetooth profile? If not, I'm afraid you won't be able to connect the iPod to your car stereo system via Bluetooth.

  • CARK 91 CAR KIT

My 6310i has just died on me and I need to upgrade
but I have a plumbed in car kit as old as the phone.
Does the cradle fit any modern phones or is there an
    adapter available.

Actualy there is a bluetooth adapter available that simply plugs into the cradle. It upgrades an existing fitted Cark-91 into a Bluetooth enabled car kit. We have tested it with an E51 and it worked well.
Search for cark11w on google and you will find suppliers for it.

  • Connecting two mobile to the one bluetooth car kit...

Is it possible to connect two mobile phones to the same bluetooth car kit at the same time?

I dont think its possible, i may be wrong, but imagine if both phones were connected to the car kit and they both got a phone call, there is no way it would work as it would not know what phone to connect.
So i dont think its possible.

  • E71 bluetooth connection car-kit

My E71 does not connect properly with my pioneer AVIC 3BT car-kit. The phone and car pair and than repeatedly pair and unpair. Previous nokia's (such as E61) did not have any problems. I suspect the new bluetooth misses the protocol for slightly older bluetooth connections. Anybody any better idea, such as an update or a program lije Jetware for Nokia?
    Many thanks in advance,

Pioneer has posted an update, that also works for my E51!
Here you will find the update file and update instructions for the FH-P80BT, DEH-P800BT, DEH-P700BT and DEH-600BT.
This update enables above models to connect NOKIA Nseries with software after October/2007.

    Hello GlennCZA,
Thank you for your question regarding connecting your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone to your car kit.
Have you tried deleting and recreating the Bluetooth pairing profile? Is the issue stricly with the initial connection? Does the connection drop once connected?

  • Carkit 112 problems - help please!

got a new car, a new shape bmw 328 coupe
it already has installed a nokia carkit 112 bluetooth handsfree device
problem being, the previous owner doesn't know the password so i can pair the device with my phone when i get in the car
my phone picks it up fine, but when asked to enter a password it rejects every 'obvious' one like 0000,1111 etc
i then took the dash apart to find the box, as i was told the last 4 digits of the serial number should be the pin, so i found the box
problem being there are quite a few numbers on it, and when i tried entering the last 4 digits from them none seemed to work
can someone confirm exactly what is my serial number on the box, as it contains several strains of information, whether the pin/code will have letters in it as well and what my pin should be?
also, is it possible the previous owner changed the pin and thats why it isn't pairing? or is that not possible on this device? i didn't get any manuals for it so not sure if you can change it yourself?
is there any way of resetting the pin?
otherwise it looks like im stuck with the kit in the car and its of no use to me as i just can't for the life of me get a pin number to work with it
image of the box with information is hosted at the following address:

your help would be much appreciated

hi, i also have carkit 112 and have lost the manual and passcode. I have bought new phone Nokia N81. Reset and tried 0000 and 1234 and no luck. Can't find main junction box only speaker box having removed various panels in my toyota yaris. Garage will charge me £40 to find box and serial no. My new phone finds the carkit but just says unable to pair with this device. I also put in 0135, 1226, 3711 and 1016 which you suggested before. Any other suggestions before I return to garage option.

  • CARK-112 lost passcode

I'm trying to pair with a CARK-112 that I've had (but not used) for a few years. However I'm falling at the first hurdle, since I've lost the manual and can't find a download version. Immediate problem is that I don't know the passcode. I've tried 0000 but it doesn't work.
I understand that the default passcode on this model may not be 0000, but some digits from the serial number on the unit. Is this correct? Is there any way to obtain or reset this, since I have absolutely no idea how to open up my dashboard to find the unit!

If you need details of a proffesional engineer in your area please let me know, i am sure they would do this sort of job for some beer tokens rather then paying a garage who dos'nt know what they are looking for.
    Good luck.

  • I'm trying to set up my Ipod, but when I go to sign in with an apple ID it says 'Could not sign in: there was a problem connecting to the server'.

I just bought a 3rd generation ipod touch. It was professionally refurbished. I'm trying to set it up, and everything seems to be working fine, until we get to the wifi. I live on campus and our wifi is username and password protected. I signed in and everything seemed to work fine, and in the top left hand corner I have all the bars for wifi. However, when I go to sign in with an apple ID it says 'Could no sign in: there was a problem connecting to the server'. I've tried turning it on and off again, tried signing on to our wifi again, but it all isn't working. What can I do?

I also encountered the same problem. Try using a different email address or try signing in later.

Hi, blank white screen where exactly?

  • Problems connecting multiple macs to an Airport Extreme network.

I think this problem is similar to a previous post, but is individual in some ways.
I have 2 Airport Extreme basestations covering a large flat connected by Ethernet extending a single network. I did try to extend the network wirelessly, but this was plagued with problems where the network would work for 10 mins, then drop out as I think the basestations are slightly too far apart.
Connected to the network are a number of machines:
Wirelessly we have 3x iPhones, 1x G4 Cube, 1x iMac (current model), 2x MacBook Pro (previous model) & 1x PC.
Wired via a hub is an Apple TV, PS3, Nintendo Wii, Denon Home Cinema Amp, PS2
For aprox 6 months I have had major problems connecting all the wireless machines at the same time. I have played around with the security as per previous posts with varying degrees of success.
I seem to have the most problems with the iMac. The iMac will not join the network when there is any form of wireless security. Every time I try to set up a password it hangs when trying to join and I finally get the "There was a error joining xxxx network".
After more playing around I managed to get all the machines working by having no security on the network and locking the network down by MAC addresses.
Since last Thursday I now have a new problem. The iMac joins and stays on the network perfectly, but the second my second MacBook Pro is switched on and joins the network, the internet connection on the iMac drops out. In addition, as we use the iMac as a media server, all other machines connected to the iMac for either file sharing or iTunes sharing then get the error "the remote machine is failing to respond. Please check firewall settings if there are any". What is strange is that the iMac remains on the network, full signal, independent IP address and the second the MacBook Pro is switched off, works perfectly again.
I have tried wiping both the iMac & the MacBook Pro and re-installing their operating systems, but this only solves the problem for aprox 24 hours then all of a sudden the issue re-appears.
    Can anyone out there help?

Let's double-check the AirPort Express Base Station's (AX) settings ...
Perform a "factory default" reset of the AX
    o (ref: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=108044)
Either connect to the AX's wireless network or connect directly, using an Ethernet cable, to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then using the AirPort Utility in "Manual Setup" mode, check the following settings:
    AirPort > Base Station
o Base Station Name: <rename or leave default>
    o Base Station Password: <enter desired password>
    o Verify Password: <re-enter desired password>
o Remember this password in my keychain: (optional)
    o Set time automatically: (unchecked)
    AirPort > Wireless
o Wireless Mode: Join a wireless network
    o Network Name: <existing AEBSn's wireless network>
o Wireless Security: <select the encryption type of the existing wireless network>
o Wireless Password: <enter the existing wireless network password>
o Verify Password: <re-enter the existing wireless network password>
    Music
    o Enable AirTunes (checked)
o iTunes Speaker Name: <enter desired speaker name>
    o iTunes Speaker Password: (optional)
    o Verify Password: (optional)
o Click Update to write the new settings to the AX
    In iTunes:
    iTunes > Preferences... > Advanced > General
o Look for remote speakers connected with AirTunes (checked)

  • TS3048 My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

My early 2009 Mac Pro does not connect via bluetooth to my sound bar or bluetooth mini speakers. Both my wireless keyboard and mouse have no problems connecting. What do I need to do to connect to external bluetooth devices?

I would always have a wired keyboard and mouse on hand (need not be expensive ... any cheap wired devices will work).  "Emergency recovery" procedures can activate features in random order, so the opportunity to select a recovery partition may pass before the wireless devices are recognized.
That will let you select the "turn on Bluetooth" icon.

  • Problem connecting MacBook to a Sharp video projector

One of the great things I like about Macs is the easy way they (usually) connect to a video projector. Unlike a lot of my friends who run PCs with Windows I never had any problems whatsoever connecting my MacBook to a projector at the university and start my presentations.
    Until today that is.
I tried to connect my MacBook with Apple's mini-DVI to VGA adapter to a Sharp ("Notevision") video projector and although the MacBook had the projector (even with its correct name "PG-M20X" and available resolution settings) listed under "Displays" immediately, I couldn't get the projector to show any more than "no signal" whatever input source I chose...
What did I do wrong? Or is it the projector that is somehow "incompatible"?! Please help!
MacBook Mac OS X (10.4.9) Core Duo 2GHz, July 2006
MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   Core Duo 2GHz, July 2006

Maybe this could help as well:
After we tried several things with the MacBook (reboot, "detect displays" etc.), we successfully connected a Powerbook (15", FireWire 800, late 2003) to the projector, using Apple's DVI-VGA Adapter.
So that did work out fine, but the MacBook didn't work on the projector. The cable that came with the projector was a VGA--DVI-A cable: there were only a few pins on the DVI-end of it going into the DVI-Connector on the projector. Could it have something to do with that? But why didn't the Powerbook have any problems connecting to the projector then?
