about the network I'm quite sure which one is mine among the proposal given.....
One last thing I've tried both 2,5 Ghz and 5 Ghz but no one of the two allow me to go into the internet connection...
You need to read the router's owners manual to learn how to make changes on it, if you don't have it available give Belkin's customer support a call. Changing a router's settings is normally fairly easy, I found the following after less than a minute of Google searches:
Home network routers are designed to use a default IP address when first powered on. This local network address, sometimes called the default gateway, can be used to connect and log into the router as an administrator.
Answer: The default IP address of Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1. Note that this address applies only on the local network. The Belkin router will obtain another, public IP address when connecting to the Internet.

  • Problem connecting xcode to xcode server on mavericks

    Hello,
i try to connect xcode to my xcode server (booth on mavericks) and i get the error: "NSURLErrorDomain error 1012".
How can i debug and fix this situation?
    Thanks in advanced

    Try the following steps:
Go to the Projects->Components menu item in Visual Basic and select "National Instruments CW DataSocket 4.0".
Add a DataSocket instance to the form.
Select the DataSocket instance on the form and go to the Properties window in Visual Basic. Set AccessMode to "3 - cwdwReadAutoUpdate", set AutoConnect to True, and set URL to the url that you want to test.
Double-click on the DataSocket instance on the form to create an event handler for DataSocket's DataUpdated event. Add something to the event that indicates that the event occurred, like popping up a message box or adding some text to a textbox on the form.
    Hope this helps.

  • Problem connecting belkin wemo switch to hime hub ...

Have a belkin wemo switch which connected to network with no issues using old netgear router.
Now we have upgraded to BTs home hub 4, we cannot get the wemo device to connect to the network,
Has anyone else experienced this and are you able to offer us any advice?

The IP subnet is different on the home hubs. Reset your Belkin device to factory default, and set it up again, it should pick up the correct IP and subnet.

the problem I have since I upgraded to Mavericks version 10.9.1
The problem appears only with Mail not with other programs, not even with my browser.
When I try to zoom the text of an e-mail I received or sent , I can no longer use the keys Command + to enlarge the text, although I can reduce it with Command -.
As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but  he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

  • How do you turn off "There was a problem connecting to server..." notifications

I work with a company that does a lot of shared review of documents via PDF on their local network. I, however, am a thousand miles away, and reviewing it via a separate DropBoxed copy.
It appears every time I open the DropBoxed copy of the PDF, Adobe Acrobat begins searching for the original PDF on a server to which I am not connected. And then I get variations on the following notification until I do a full reboot:
There was a problem connecting to the server "XXXXXXXX"
The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.
That, my friends, is a gigantic posterior pustule that I want to pop. So what's a solution.
Before you go all "look elsewhere on this forum/Google/Whatevah for an answer to this already answered question," please understand that I have. Everywhere. For the last month. And please, don't just chime in with a "I have that problem too" with no solution. I just could really use the help of the Apple Hive Mind to solve this. If this is not the right forum, please direct me to where this should be posted.
Thanks in advance. The specs: Macbook Pro 13" (late 2013), 512GB, OS X Yosemite 10.10 (was happening with Mavericks too).

All "shared review" PDFs. Regular PDFs from other sources do not trigger the problem. My belief is that there is a embedded script in the shared review PDFs that continually seeks to link to the relevant servers. As I stated above, I am not on that server(s) either virtually, wirelessly or hard-wired.
Based on your previous questions (thanks, BTW), I have "sanitized" some of the PDFs that have caused this condition and am testing to see if that takes care of the situation. But seriously, isn't there some way to kill the constant "trying to connect to server" thing? It's annoying as (fill in the blank).
Thanks for the help on this.

  • There was a problem connecting to the server "Max Time Capsule"

Disclaimer:  Previously posted here (Ask Different) and similar to this.
I'm trying to use my MBP inside and outside my office, and having it backup to my 2TB Time Capsule when on its wireless network, or defer backups when not on the Time Capsule's wireless network.
Unfortunately, if I've been on a different wireless network for a few hours worth of backup attempts, bringing the machine back onto the Time Capsule's wireless network doesn't resume backups, and Time Machine never recovers. I can select the disk as a backup drive in the Time Machine preferences, but the disk remains unavailable from the Finder, and any backup attempts yield the standard:
There was a problem connecting to the server "Max Time Capsule"
Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator.
My WiFi connection is through the same Time Capsule that hosts the backup drive, and its name and IP address have decidedly not changed. The only thing that seems to help is restarting the Time Capsule, but that is an inconvenient workaround at best.
The problem sounds similar to Backup Disk Not Available, but the answers to that question are either to restart or change the disk name or turn off the 5 GHz network (which didn't help). I also looked at /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeCapsule.plist, but found nothing that seemed relevant.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My MBP is running OS X 10.7.5, and the Time Capsule firmware is 7.6.1.

The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again.
I still have internet connection, and have tried other suggestions across internet but really the only fix has been to power cycle the ATC. This unfortunately is only a temporary remedy for a day or so until it returns.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
There is no fix.. I have written a bunch of suggestions to try.

  • There was a problem connecting to the server "...iMac"

I keep getting the error message, "There was a problem connecting to the server ..."iMac."  I have Mavericks 10.9.2 on both my Macbook Pro and my iMac.  The Macbook is the system having issues.  I've seen "fixes" for Time Machine for Lion.  I have addressed this, and it does not seem to be the problem.  I've deleted all servers from the list, unmounted Time Machine and turned it off and back on again to refresh the settings, turned sharing off and back on.
    Any Mavericks ideas out there?

  • Problem connecting wirelessly to router

I am having problems connecting to a router. I know it works because another computer can connect, no problem. It requests a WPA-2 password and the other computer enters an 8-digit code and they connect, no problem. My MacAir reconizes the network (router) but won't accept the same code the other laptop sitting next to me is able to use. The laptop that can get in asked for a "security key." The Mac asks for a password. Not sure if the nuance makes a difference. Has anyone else had issues like this?

    Welcome to Apple DIscussions.
This could be a problem with the router settings as much, or more, than the security settings.  Follow the link if you own/have access to the router setup software.
Help us help you. The more complete the description of your problem is (what MBA you're using - there are many versions going back to '08, what OS you're using -there's a lot of those too, what Application you're using there are many, a full compete description, the text or screen shot of any error messages) the more assistance we can provide, and, the sooner we can provide it.
WFIW many users who have recently upgraded to Mavericks have reported a lot of WIFI problems... connecting, and maintianing connectios are among them, that's why the age and OS of your machine are pertient bits of background that can help find a solution to  your issue.

  • Is anyone else having major performance problems with FMLE since the upgrade to Mavericks

OSX Mavericks seems to be having problems with streaming uploads in general, but in particular, I can not stream videos with FMLE at all. I tried it with my accounts at Ustream and Justin and they have the exact same results, with the stream pausing and going black after just a couple minutes. It doesn't seem to matter what my output settings are; this will happen even if it's set for extremely low bandwidth.
This did not happen when I was using Mountain Lion. I am almost certain the new OS is causing the issues, but I am not sure how or why, and am having trouble finding others with this problem.
Other programs I am using in conjunction with FMLE are CamTwist and Soundflower

I have problem streaming to twitch/justin.tv using Mavericks.
I've tried most of their FMS-servers without success. I get this loop:

  • Audio problem Roland ua-55 Quad Capture with Mavericks: noise, dropouts

I have a problem with the roland ua-55 quad capture and my brandnew 2013 imac27, mavericks osx 10.9.1. I installed the newest driver from the roland website, version 1.5.2. Audio works fine for a few minutes, then starts cracking, more and more dropouts occur.
That happens no matter what buffer size or sampling rate I dial in. Everytime I change the settings in the ua-55 driver, the audio is fine for a few minutes, then the noise and dropouts start again.
This happens in every audio-app I have tried like I-Tunes, Spotify and even Youtube. In Garageband I get an error message about audio-midi sync problems.
Has anybody found a solution? Any reactions from apple or roland so far? I really would like to start making music!
    Thanks heaps!

  • Time Capsule: Problem connecting to the Server

    Specs:
    MacBook Pro (Retina, 15, Late 2013), 2.6 Ghz Intel Core i7, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048MB, 1TB SSD, OSX Mavericks 10.9.4 (13E28)
    Time Capsule 2013, 3TB, Firmware 7.7.3
"There was a problem connecting to the server "Xxxxx's Airport Time Capsule".
Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you continue to have problems, contact your system administrator."
I can access my Time Machine, but I cannot backup. Everytime I try to I get the above message. I had this problem in the past, but opening Time Machine System Preferences and Selecting and deselecting the current disk seemed to fix it. It was an odd fix, but every time I went into the settings to get to the bottom of the problem it resolved itself before I could get to the bottom of the issue. I thought I was imagining it at times! The Time Capsule is also giving my network sporadic connectivity issues to the internet. It will maintain a perfect wireless connection, but not provide a connection to the internet. Turning my notebooks WiFi on and off seems to resolve the issue upon reconnection.
What's going on and how do I fix it!
I also have AppleCare for the Time Capsule and would like to not get too crazy or involved with the solutions. Nothing that voids the warranty!

We would not suggest warranty voiding fixes on any device that has warranty.. we only suggest those when Apple refuse to help or the device is older.
    Reset your TC to factory.
    The Factory Reset universal
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on..  all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. The time is not important.. it is the front LED rapid flashing that indicates you are in factory mode.
    Release reset.
If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have released reset at some point and try again.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel..  add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Redo the setup of the TC.. using all short names.. with no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Apple changed Mavericks default network protocol to SMB and it has tighter rules.
eg.. A good name is TCgen5
A good name for the wireless is TCwifi
Use whatever you like.. up to max 20 characters but short and sweet is better.
Once you do that, mount the disk in finder manually.
Go, Connect to server.. From the top menu area.
    AFP://TCgen5.local
OR even better use its IP address.
AFP://10.0.1.1 (but it must be static which usually means in router mode).
Once you have found the network resource.. put in your disk password and save it to the keychain. All passwords should be pure alphanumeric mix of case and numbers and 10-20 characters.
Reset Time Machine to the new path to the TC.
It will say it will start a new backup but in fact it will discover the old one and simply continue the backup.
If it still fails.. it is faulty and should be returned.
The drop out of the internet even when wireless is working points to faulty WAN connection which is a serious bug on these.

  • Time machine problem connecting to server x.local.

I've recently upgraded my home computers to Mavericks (2 mini servers and 4 macs).  I run time machine services on one of the servers and everything seemed to be working fine (macs succesfully backing up as scheduled, etc).
Well... this week I needed to restore some files from backup.  While I can connect to the server when booting normally to Mac HD, some of the files I need to recover are in use when doing so.  So I booted to the recovery partition on and selected Time Machine from the menu.  After I selected the server from which I wanted to restore, I was prompted to enter a username and password.  Upon entering, I was greeted with the message "There was a problem connecting to the server 'x.local.'  Check server name or IP address and try again".
I've tried using a variety of user accounts (including root and other admins).  I'm also able to ping the server using Terminal by name and address. But alas, no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance, Dave

If you open AirPort Utility........can you see the old Time Capsule?
If yes, click on the old Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Base Station menu (up at the top of the screen where the File, Edit, Window and Help menus reside
    Click Show Passwords
Time Machine is looking for either the Base Station password  (which may or may not be the same as the Wireless password)....or....the Disk Password.....if you set up a Disk Password that was separate from the Base Station or Wireless password.
