Problems connecting iPad to TV
Hi,
Wonder if you guys can help. Connected my iPad 4th gen to my HDTV via digital av adaptor and HDMI cable. There's sound but no picture. Also once the iPad is connected to the tv, I noticed that the speed of the iPad has slowed down.Check that the connectors are fully seated. Do you have another TV to try it on? Could be a problem with the digital av adaptor or HDMI cable.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Problem Connecting iPad or iPhone to Wifi (Linksys E1000)
I recently moved from my parent's house to a condo and I am having trouble connecting my iPad or iPhone to my WiFi. I have not problem with my main desktop (connected to the router via ethernet), but my iPad and iPhone fails to connect to the network. I don't have a problem finding the network (FunnyWillow) but when I try to log in, it says "Failed to join "FunnyWillow" - "Unable to join the network "FunnyWillow" ". How do I resolve this problem?
Solved!
Go to Solution.Alright, my current firmware version is (v1.0.01 build 7Apr 15, 2010). I tried to update it by downloading version 2.1, but when IZArc opened, there was nothing in the .bin to extract. I checked my status afterwards on (http://192.168.1.1/Status_Router.asp) and it still says I am using the v.1.0.01... version.
I reset the router, and network and tried to update the firmware and the samething happened with the update. I tried to connect my iPhone/pad and the same error message appeared. I have a good feeling that getting that firmware update would solve it, I guess U don't know how to go about it. -
Problem connection iPad to net gear wn2000rpt
All appears to be connected, lights are all green but does connect to Internet

I doubt the iPad's AirPrint system will work through a print server, even if it is serving an AirPrint printer. There could be a problem communicating Bonjour data between the printer and the iPad. Contact the server manufacturer for their opinion/advice.
The iPad prints over WiFi. If there is a WiFi path to the print server, one of the printing Apps like Print n Share may work for you. You can contact EuroSmartz and ask if their Apps would work, but the only way to be sure may be to try it.
Search the iTunes App Store to see if your printer's manufacturer has a free printing App. If so, you can give it a try.

Having problems connecting iPad 4S to monitor with Apple adapter and HDMI cable.
Purchased an Apple adapter to connect to an HDMI cable. The connections were secure and the image on the iPad was duplicated on the monitor; however, there was a lot of "snow" on the monitor. I tried turning off the power to the iPad and then starting back up, but that didn't work. Once when checking the connections the image cleared for a few seconds, but then the "snow" came back. Any ideas?
sounds like either an issue with the HDMi cable, or the connection at the TV possibly.
Try another HDMI port on your TV if there is one, or a different cable. -
Anyone had problems connecting iPad 2 to BT home Hub?
My mum is having difficulties setting up iPad to BT Home Hub 2.
While it recognises the network it asks for IP Addressn Subnet Mask, Router and DNS information.
BT claim they cannot help but need Apple to fix...
Really?I would not rely on the hotspot map, as its not very accurate, and you have to be very close to a BT Wifi hotspot, to get a connection.
If it works at home, then your ipad must be working properly.
There are some useful help pages here, for BT Broadband customers only, on my personal website.

Having problems connecting iPad 2 to iPhone hotspot.
As the title suggests, my iPad will not connect to my iPhone hotspot. I keep receiving an "Unable to connect" error. The link symbol is showing up when I search for available networks, but no connection happens. I have tried to forget the network and re-add it, same error. I don't know enough to go fiddling further with settings. I have read about changing the settings when using a modem router but unsure if the fixes there are relevant when using iPhone as a hotspot. Any guidance would be appreciated.
The hotspot works through Bluetooth. Switch the personal hotspot on in your iphone first You will then need to enable Bluetooth on your iPad and disconnect your wifi. You should then see your iPhone in the Bluetooth connections on the ipad and can pair with it from there.
Took me ages to work this out for myself. I only have a wifi iPad too.
Good luck again! -
I'm having a problem connecting my BlueRay DVD player and other non-Mac devices to my AirPort Express network. Is there a limit on the number of devices I can connect to the wireless network? I never have a problem connecting a new Apple product (AirBook, iPad) and even a basic laptop. Thanks for your help.
The AirPort Express Base Station (AX) can support up to ten (10) simultaneously connected Wi-Fi clients.

My iPad2 no longer connects to my home wifi network but there is no problem connecting to other saved wifi networks. Currently using iOS8.0.2. with storage capacity of 12.2Gb but only 147Mb free. Disconnecting the router and rebooting the iPad worked briefly as a temporary fix but not anymore
You could try this
Temporarily disable security on your home network
See if the iPad connects
If it does then reset the security - with the same or different password -
My ipad has been a little glitchy for the last couple of weeks....not able to load pages because of DNS lookup failure and really slow loading...some of which has to do with the DSL service I have, but I followed the directions on one of the Apple wi-fi issues pages to reset network all connections..which I did, and now the Ipad cannot connect to WiFi because it will not accept (or cannot resolve..or??) password. I am sure I am typing the password correctly and have tried it on several routers..and it cannot cannect to any router properly even with the correct password. My laptop is connected just fine and it accepts the password and I have confirmed the password with the ISP and tried other routers.
So the question is what should I do if I am entering the right password and the Ipad can't sign itself on to the Wifi network? Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Wow what a pile of crap you must wade through to ask a question .
Ok so the problem is I did an update on my IPad and now it does nothing but show a graphic showing the power cable connecting to ITunes
So I connect iPad to my IMac and prompt iTunes nothing happens. So I try sinc nothing happens.
So I try restore and the popup says I am not eligible for restore.
What is going on with this stupid machineMachines are incapable of being stupid. Not so of their operators.
Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
* If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Additional Information:
If you have a problem getting into recovery mode then try: RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode.
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information. -
HT201205 Problems connecting 5s to ipad via Bluetooth
Cannot connect ipad and 5s via Bluetooth. Both running ios7.
Wasted a whole evening with tech support rebuilding both devices with the same outcome.
Anyone else having this problem?Tethering is something completly different. That same support article also says that you can use Peer to Peer bluetooth connections for applications. I also found an application that allows you to send files via bluetooth from my iphone to another or ipod touch or ipad. It is call BlueWaves. Tethering would in theory allow you to connect your iPhone to your iPad and use the internet from the iPhone on the iPad. Apple would not allow this because they have a 3G model coming out. Plus the iPhone is capable of internet tethering but ATT has blocked it from the phones until their network becomes more stable. I hope the information and that application help you accomplish what you would like to.
Thanks
