Problem connecting to lotus notes server.

Hey Everyone
I am using:
Windows XP, service pack 2
PC suite 6.85.14.1
Bluetooth connection
Phone Nokia E65
I am trying to connect my laptop to the office lotus notes server. But it seems PC sync can’t locate my id file or the notes server. The fields under sync setup are simply empty.
My Notes client didn’t have any problems connecting to the server.
There are about 10 other people in the office all using the same setup (Nokia E65 and a the same type laptop) without problems.
I have tried the solution in this topic but it didn’t help: /discussions/board/message?board.id=pcsuite&message.id=24092&query.id=149864#M24092.
Any idea what the problem might be?
Thx in advance
\Andreas

open regedit
go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nokia\PCSync\Settings
open => NotesIni
instead of for exemple => C:\Application_Data\notes\
type the entire path => C:\Application_Data\notes\Notes.ini
it should work

    Hi,
    In my company there is a centralized server for lotus mail.We can't go and directly hit the server because of high security.So that we can't specify the server name in our coding (i.e)
    Properties props=new Properties();
    props.put("mail.smtp.host","mail.mycompany.com");
    If we use the above mentioned code,it is throwing the err:SMTP Server not found.
    There is one solution for this problem.We can get a local users session.Then we have to use that session to sent mails to other users.I just got this idea theoratically.But i don't know the code.
    If you came to know about the code,Please email me at
    [email protected]
    Thank You

  • Problem connecting to Web Services server

    Hello,
    I've had my printer running perfectly since I installed it 3 days ago but today I am nolonger able to use eprint. I can still scan and print from my home PC and laptop but I am unable to send emails directly to the printer now. This was working fine and I used the feature fairly often without error but today no emails arrived. When I logged on to the eprint web site using my google account {Personal Information Removed} the status of the printer said disconnected. I've tried deleting the printer and re-attaching it (which had no effect) and I've now tried disabling web services on the printer then re-enabling it. When I try this I now receive the following error: Problem connecting to Web Services server.
    The printer model is a HP Photosmart Premium C310a with the lastest software update. The printer is connected to my network via Wifi and is reachable and usable from all my PC's.
    It seems to me that there is something wrong with the software configuration on the printer, the reason I think this is because the screen interface slows down to a crawl after some use and when this happens it is not possible to switch the printer off via the power button. The only solution is to pull the power cable! This is something new and didn't happen before, is there a way to reset to factory default, the option in the menu doesn't seem to reset everything?
    Please advise ASAP.
    Thanks in advance,
    Stuart {Personal Information Removed}

    Greetings,
    The ePrint Service has been having some issues after the upgrade. The server team has found and fixed a bug in the latest release that affected connectivity. If you're having problems, please unregister your product (from the Web Services menu, select "Remove Web Services"), then register again (from the Web Services menu, select "Enable Web Services).
    After reregistering, I have been very successful using both ePrint and the Print Apps using my HP LaserJet CM1415. It has been staying connected, and promptly printing jobs I send to it. It has also been reconnecting after I powercycle. I sincerely hope you have the same experience. We had an ePrintCenter outage a few minutes ago that may have affected connectivity, but I am able to use ePrint and the Print Apps again as of 5:15 Mountain Time.

    Hello, my email is connected to Lotus Notes. When I updated my iPad to iOS 6, it REQUIRED that I have a password for the iPad or else my email wouldn't work or synchronize with Lotus Notes (on my work laptop). This is really frustrating, because I cannot disable the password under General<Passcode. Thanks!

    This would almost certainly be a setting that is being enforced by your company. You'll need to talk to them about this.

    thanks in advance

    You should be able to access the diiop_ior.txt file from browser without authentication,only then it will work. This file should not
    be protected.

  • Connecting to Lotus Notes Mail database

    I have Coldfusion 8.  I am trying to connect to our Lotus Notes Mail database.  I've installed the Lotus NotesSQL driver 8.0.  I've created a DSN in the ODBC Data Source Administrator.  When I try to set the datasource in Coldfusion Administrator using "ODBC Socket" as the driver type, I get the following error:
    Connection verification failed for data source: NotesAddress
    java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC Socket]internal error: Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_DBC failed
    The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver][ODBC Socket]internal error: Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_DBC failed
    Any help I can get on this would be much appreciated!

    So I've got a slighty different problem, but maybe we
    can help each other.
    We're on Coldfusion 9 but I get the connection working fine the admin but as soon as the report writer comes into play
    it's broke.
    Save the password on the ODBC connection setting as well as in the coldfusion adim console and remember
    that the user names aren't straight forward "UserName/Server/Company" as  a exmaple!
    Also you need to the the .id files and Notes installed on the machine.
    Best way to test your ODBC connection before using it in Coldfusion is use excel to try and get the data from
    the ODBC connection first. Once you've achieved that then setup the coldfusion connection.
    Once you've achieved that see if you can help me I can connect and the ODBC and everything is OK but it
    break as soon as we try and create a report with some Driver not capable problem I also need help. Hope
    I've managed to help you.

  • Rookie Problem:Connection Pool Class not found

    Hi All,
    I'm new to java (3 days now!) and I was writing some sample JSP code to learn about Connection Pooling using Sun Server 8... My goal here is to hopefully learn how to use Connection pooling so I can develop a DAO class that uses good design patterens. It appears that that my J2EE server is not finding my db providers connection pooling class. If this is my problem where should I add this reference? I was looking at the Admin Console and did not see a way to add it there?
    Someone please send me down the right path :)
    I think my error is...."Wrong class name or classpath for Datasource Object : {0}

    Sorry this is not the way i usually handle db connectivity, i think you need to set up a name in your server.xml file (this is for tomcat based applicatin servers) which is then referenced in your jsp file. I have had a quick google and found this.

    You menttioned that you wanted to devolp really good design patterns, how big is your project going to be, if it is going to be a large project then you may want to look at

  • Problems connecting to the Admin Server

    My browser can't connect to the Admin Server. Why not?
    <P>
    If you cannot connect to the Admin Server, ensure that the masks of
    Hosts and Addresses entries in /admin-serv/config/ns-admin.conf
    include the host and address you are connecting from. After changing
    these parameters, stop and start the Admin Server by running the shell
    scripts /stop-admin and
    /start-admin.

    Thanx for the reply Shane.
    i had just stumbled upon the imap log before seeing your answer. i've found and fixed the problem.
    the imap log showed the following message
    Access to imap service for user@domain denied from client address (*mailAllowedServiceAccess)while the http log showed the following message
    Access to smime service for user@domain denied from client address (mailAllowedServiceAccess)after some digging, i understood that th mailAllowedServiceAccess is a user profile property.
    For my non-admin user, it was set to +imaps:ALL$+pops:ALL$+smtp:ALL$+http:ALL i modified it to include simple imap and the problem was solved.

  • Problem connecting to lotus domino

    Hi,
    I have set up a Lotus Domino server that gives access to the standard teamroom database over the net.
    This works fine for users that have the Microsoft java version installed. When they access the database via the net, they get prompted once for their password and can use the database via the web interface.
    Users that have the Sun Java Runtime Environment installed have problems logging in. They are prompted a zillion times for their userid/pasword (once for every object on the screen???)
    The messagebox is entitled "Pass Needed - Networking" and prompt me for userid/password.
    Any idea how I can avoid those messageboxes using teh Sun jre ?
    Rgds

    any one found an answer to this ? as I have the same problem with Java running on netscape or firefox

  • My iPod touch 3rd gen is not updating to the latest software, iTunes keeps saying that there was a problem connecting to the update server...

    I don't think I ever registered my 3rd gen iPod. I was never able to update it past its original software because iTunes could never recognize it. Unfortunately, my wife had installed data on it (old &amp; recently purchased) so I've been very hesitant to "Restore" it. I recently plugged it into my laptop &amp; it prompted me to install the iOS 5.0.1 software, but after multiple attempts to do so iTunes keeps giving me the same error message "update  install failed. Connection to the update software server has timed out". How do I update the software without losing all my wife's data?

    If you already have iOS5.0, Go to settings-general-software update, scroll to the bottom and hit download and install and this should update it without the computer. Then when you connect the iPod to iTunes, it should say 5.0.1. If this doesn't work, DON'T ERASE IT. Just bring it in to Apple. I had the same issue trying to update to 5.0.  and eventually I got it to work after waiting for a little while. Good luck!

  • Apple Devices cannot connect to Lotus Domino Server

    Hello
    There is an issue occuring on Apple Devices, indicating that "the account cannot be verified an error occurred while contacting the server traveler" which I am not able to fix the error.
    We do have mail server which is Lotus Domino 9 and Traveler 9. However, there has been errror occuring only on the Apple devices when installing the Lotus traveler.
    We could have managed to installed the Lotus Traveler on other devices such as Blackberry etc and it works without no problem.
    However, there has been errror occuring only on the Apple devices when installing the Lotus traveler.
    All relevant things have been finishes to run according to the guidance of  installation for "Apple Device" and at the end the password has been entered on the screen of "Exchange password" then there is no connection with the server. There is a problem to connect to the server regardless of the password is correct or incorrect.

    You should be able to access the diiop_ior.txt file from browser without authentication,only then it will work. This file should not
    be protected.

    When I set up in outlook, I have noticed this in advanced connection settings:
    the URL is required
    mail.ex4.secureserver.net
    Then check connect SSL only
    Only connect to proxy servers with this principal name
    msstd:mail.ex4.secureserver.net
    When I use the connect principal, it works fine, but otherwise if it is not checked, it won't connect to the server.
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Email_Servers/Exchange/Q_26423254.html
    However, when I restart outlook, because I have multiple exchange accounts, they keep becoming "unchecked".
    Everything worked fine about 48 hours ago, and now... all these problems.
