Problem connecting to SVN repository from Safari, works with FF

*Hello guys,*
I have a problem with Mac at work. I need to connect to internal SVN repository (https) first with Safari to see if everything is ok and then with my development client/tool - Eclipse.
Neither works! It just keep connecting and it does not go further.
But when I put SVN url in Firefox (FF) it ask me for SVN password and let me in. IT WORKS...
Probably there is a problem with Keychain because it does not even ask me for password. I just see page loading in Safari but nothing happens. Also in Eclipse, nothing happens when I try to add SVN repository location.
Other guys with MS and Ubuntu PCs can connect to SVN (FF and Eclipse) with no problem.
Where is the problem?
Why my Mac could not connect to this particular SVN.

I digg some findings. When I open the page with Google Chrome it also does not load any thing, just keep loading.
But when I open SVN url (ssl) with Opera, it behave like Firefox. First it tells me that this site is not trusted and after confirming this alert I get password promt and everything is ok.
But there is still problem with Safari and Eclipse. Has Keychain anything here to do with this ???

Connecting a KM repository from another portal to KM via WebDAV - meda data

we are evaluating the option of connecting a KM repository from another portal to KM via WebDAV in our Federated Portal Scenario (in fact, we wish to get rid of the the remote roles as soon as possible).

Or for BI as described in Note 969040 - Federated portal network and Information Broadcasting .
One question : in case meta- data properties are set, where are these stored? In the consumer portal, or in the source system, the producer portal?
I.e when I set properties on documents of the WebDav repository, and I go to the source system, will the same meta- data properties be set there?

For testing I've integrated the remote KM repository as WebDAV and enabled the properties repository service :
- custom meta- data defined on the source (producer) KM system is not visible in the consumer portal if no value has been set on the source system :
Let's say you have a property 'country' on the source system, define a value for it + save, you can view the property in the consumer system.
- if you define both the same properties in consumer & producser system, you can view the properties in both system, and the value set in either one of the systems is displayed in both of them.
In short : the custom meta-data properties need to be defined on both systems

Absolutely sure.. There is no connection at all.. reset is only the router side of the TC.
For the hard disk to be erased you need to access the airport utility disk page.. request erase and confirm the operation.

I am uncertain why if you have access you cannot change settings.. but that is why you reset things so any of those problems should be fixed.

It basically includes 3 systems, one is our ECC sender system, middle one is PI box and third one is the receiver system. Data is successfully reaching to PI system from our sender system.Now we want to forward this to our third party system from PI box.
I want to know that such sending of data requires direct connection to third party or it can be done by proxy server based connection to third party.If it is possible then what are the steps to do this?

If your computer does not have Thunderbolt you cannot use a Thunderbolt display. There are no adapters that will help.

Can't connect to SVN repository JDeveloper 11.1.1.1.0

I have problems connecting to my Subversion googlecode.com repository with JDeveleoper 11g. I can connect to it using tools like NetBeans, TortoiseSVN and even JDeveloper 10.1.3.5.0, but in JDeveloper 11g it refuses to connect.
I have tried setting it up on a different pc using the same repository and credentials, and it works there. I have no firewall or closed ports that could be blocking anything.
I also tried removing JDeveloper completely and installing the complete configuration again, no help.
This is the error I get:

I had "fixed" the problem by replacing the svn module of the 11g version by that of 10g and it would grant me access.
So now I replaced svn version with the original 11g version again to test without the proxy.
This was entered in the dialog that you mentioned:
[x] Use HTTP Proxy Server
emeacache.uk.oracle.com on port 80
I removed the tick off in Use HTTP Proxy Server and I can now connect with 11g.
Howcome there's even a proxy server typed in there, where does it come from? :)
Removing the proxy also made the Check for Updates work a lot better, half the time it wouldn't even find any updates etc.

Problems connecting to SVN using HTTPS

I am having an issue connecting to SVN using HTTPS. I am using DreamWeaver 5.5.
We are being required to access the SVN Repository using LDAP. Prior to this I was able to get to the SVN Repository just fine using the SVN connection.
With the HTTPS connection I am getting the following error in the log:
SVN: #175002, OPTIONS of 'https://ipAddress/repos/...': SSL handshake failed: SSL error code -1/1/336032856 (https://IPAddress)
Another developer who is on a MAC can get to the Repository using DreamWeaver and HTTPS just fine. I have validated that all of the settings in DreamWeaver was the same. The other developer using Windows is having the same issue that I am having.
I can get to the repository through Tortoise using HTTPS.
Any recommendations?

FYI. This issue has been solved. After we connected using the server name instead of the IP address it was able to work. So, if anyone else has this issue maybe this will help.

Connection to the repository from AMT application

Hello all,
I have the following issue:
- I had Mobile Sales installed in my laptop.
- I have installed AMT application afterwards, by executing application SetupAMTRTOs.exe (no connection parameters where asked for this).
- I have created ODBC access to the Repository server (to the ars_db), Tested and it is OK.
- I have assigned AMT user subscription and Authorization subscriptions to my site.
When I launch AMT, logon works OK, but message says: "Cannot connect to repository", then I cannot access objects from the repository.
What should I do to connect to the repository?

I remember there is (should be) another registry node for the amtbol settings (as AMT is using a different BOL than MSA) -> see below for 4.0...
Did you also change the user/pwd for the DSN?

Problems connecting to iTunes store from PC?

After upgrading to the new iTunes version, I am having problems connecting to the iTunes store from any of my laptops. no problem with the Macbook pro.
I deleted the programs and re-installed them, and no change. Any suggestions?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Not able to connect to my mac from my work PC

I am trying to access from my work PC through RDP to connect my Macebook Pro at home.
I also setup the port on my router as 5590(TCP), 3283(TCP/UDP), 5988(TCP) on my verizon router. And I added my IP address to it but still not able to login to my Mac.
Any suggestions..?

Perhaps it's a typo but 5590 is not the right port. It should be 5900.
Port 5988 is not a port ARD really needs anymore but if you want to open it go for it as it's your router and you can do what you like!
I think you're going to have to speak to someone (your workplace's IT department is favourite) at work as more than likely you're being blocked by your company's firewall. Most company's of my experience will do this for VNC and VPN connectivity as a matter of course and the only time this kind of traffic is allowed is if it's been approved first.
Did you try to get approval before trying?

Problem connecting to comment server from Adobe Reader

I have recently upgraded to Acrobat Professional X. I generate a shared review using the following steps:
Set the option to Automatically collect comments on my own internal server
2. Set the network loctaion (the same location I have always used)
3. Opt to manually send it later:

5. Add reviewers
When the reviewer opens the PDF using Acrobat Reader X they can add comments but can only save the file. It does not connect to the server so they are unable to publish. I even tried opening the file in Reader myself and it doesn't connect.
This was all working with Acrobat X until last week. Was there an update to Acrobat that has screwed this up? The only thing I did on my PC was upgrade my FrameMaker to X so I am thinking at that point Acrobat X updated.
I have tried using the following method but the same problem occurs. You can connect and publish comment with Acrobat X but not Adobe Reader X:

Pretty much the title - Wi-Fi seems to be fine, I'm using my laptop at the moment and internet's working fine. Safari works on my iPod touch also, but not Facebook or Youtube. These are at their latest versions, and the iPod is at its latest version too...anyone had the same problem / know what to do?

Are Restrictions turned on? Go to Settings > General > Restrictions. If it says "On", enter your Restrictions password and see if Facebook and YouTube are turned off.

Problem opening Form based PDF via Safari browser with Adobe Reader 9.3 on MAC

Hi,
I'm mentioning below the problem that we are facing when we open a form based PDF created using a licensed version of Adobe Livecycle Designer ES (Version 8.2.1.4029.1.523496) on a MAC machine through a Safari Browser.
We tested this PDF form on a windows machine and the PDF opens in an IE browser via the latest Adobe reader 9.3 without any problem. I then received complaints by our clients that they were unable to open the same PDF on their Safari browser on a MAC machine, I tried to resolve the problem by downloading the latest version of Adobe Reader 9.3 for MAC but noticed that the Safari browser window would just keep refreshing the page without displaying the PDF at all. I then uninstalled the Adobe Reader 9.3 version and downloaded and installed an older version i.e., Abobe Reader 8.2 version for MAC and noticed that the PDF document successfully opened in the Safari browser. My question is why does a form based PDF work with an older version of Adobe Reader for MAC and not with the latest version? Our clients are not comfortable with the fact that we are refraining them from upgrading to the latest version of Adobe Reader for MAC and that they would have to downgrade their existing Adobe Reader 9.3 to a lower version Adobe Reader 8.2 in order for the PDF forms to work when it should be the other way around.
Is there any fix or a patch that is currently being worked on that would resolve this issue in the latest Adobe Reader for MAC? If yes then when would it be ready? This issue is quite critical for our business and would appreciate it if this would be looked into with high priority.

That suggestion makes sense and likely works, but only if the user is on a machine that will allow them to use Reader. I'm sending this out to a lot of teachers, who are using machines either at school, or are school-issued machines, and they don't have the admin privileges to install software-- even Reader.
so my problem is, if they are stuck on a machine without Reader, and without the possibility of having Reader... it's just not going to work because Preview can't handle these functions.
And, since that is not an acceptable answer with what I'm trying to do... I will find another way to create/submit forms. I think there are some online possibilities I will have to make work.

Hi vasu,
Have you tried connecting with another user? If not, first try doing that (for instance with your user). If connection is succesful compare the users. I think this have something to do with the ALEREMOTE user. Might be an authorization issue.
Try with different users (maybe one with SAP_ALL).
