Problem connecting two ipads to wifi

I'm sorry if this has been asked already. I'm having trouble connecting two ipads or an iPad and iPhone to my home wifi. Ive found that if I have an iPad or iPhone connected to my wifi, then i cant connect a second iPad at all. I have to turn the wifi setting off on the connected device, then I have to completely turn off the device I'm trying to connect, turn it back on, then it will accept the wifi password & connect. Long of the short, my friend and I can't use our ipads at the same time on my wifi. Is there a setting I could change on my router to fix this problem?

Another router setting u cn try is set to WEP shared instead of WEP Open. I not sure if this solve, i set to WEP Shared bcos previous my nintendo DS only work with with WEP shared.
My home network is able to connect with 2 ipad and 2 iphs all at the same time, sometime with an additional laptop. Meeting 5 devices.

Hi everyone, new to here, would love any advise please. We have just received a new router from talktalk, DSL3680. The previous router had broken.
We are having trouble trying to connect to the Internet with my wife's iPad and mine at the same time. Which ever pad gets on the net first blocks out the other one.
One iPad is iPad 2, the other iPad 4th generation. They have different device names, but run off the same apple Id account. Never had any trouble with old router just with the new one. Both have up to date software. Regards Wayne

Make sure iPad is using DHCP and not Static IP.

You could try this
Temporarily disable security on your home network
See if the iPad connects
If it does then reset the security - with the same or different password

Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

I am having problems connecting to my home wifi with my iphone4s

Over the past couple of weeks I have experienced a problem connecting to my home wifi service (Sky) with my iphone4s although my laptop connects fine. My phone also picks up the wifi at my place of work. At home when in close proximity to the router (netgear) on the phone the network name appears in the wifi settings but on the wifi networks page it does not get a tick against the name (wheel just keeps revolving). I have taken it back to the retailer (Vodaphone) and they recommend it be sent back to Apple (Liverpool or Manchester) as they consider it a hardware fault. I will be without the phone for probably 1-2 weeks and I use it within my working environment regularly.
Has any one any ideas?

ps. If I go down the route of 'forget this Network' will I need to do any resets on the router as I cant find the username and password when I enter my IP address for the router.

Got a new MacBook pro but for some reason I can't connect to my schools wireless. It doesn't have a problem connecting to any other wifi. My schools network is unsecured all you do is login with your username and password but the window never loads

Nonsense, no problems logging in at sites that you mention. I use OpenDNS servers. For the OP try:
System Preferences>Network>Advanced>DNS. In the left side column click on the + sign and insert the following:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Then click OK, then click Apply.

Problem connecting two seperate straight line paths. Please help!

Hi there, I'm new to illustrator and have been having a problem connecting two straight line paths. They never seem to line up correctly. Attached is a photo of the problem. I assume this is an easy fix but I can't figure it out myself.

There seems to be two aspects:
One is to get the end points to coincide. You may tick View>Snap Guides, then click one path by the end Anchor Point and drag it to snap (Smart Guides say anchor when you are there).
The other is to get rid of the gap in the stroke(s), You may join the paths into one, dragging across the coinciding Anchor Points with the Direct Selection Tool and Ctrl/Cmd+J, or you may keep the separate paths and change the Cap to Round in the Stroke palette/panel which will give you a rounded outer appearance); I presume the former is what you wish, in which case you may choose between Round and Miter Join.

Here is what I would do:
Shutdown all computers connected to the router.
Power off the router.
Power off the modem (cable or DSL).
Wait 30 seconds.
Power on the modem. Ensure all lights are lit and the modem is online.
Power on the router. Ensure it's communicating to the modem.
Turn on your Macbook Pro first (the one experiencing the issue. Check it's connection. If it's still having issues, removed the networks it can attach to, turn off WiFi; then turn WiFi back on and reconnect to your WiFi network.
Turn on other Macs in household. Check their connections.
Sometimes "rebooting" the modem and router fixes connectivity issues.

Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.

Connect two machines via WiFi

I've forgotten the magic routine to connect two machines via WiFi.
Have Sharing turned on, multiple tries with Go > Network. Nothing.
Cannot see Machine A from Machine B. Clearly I've forgotten how to walk & chew gum at the same time.

Is there a Router involved?
If not then under the Airport icon in the Menu Bar, choose "Create Network, that is for Computer to Computer, then shortly there after, the other one will "see" it.
In System Preferences>Sharing, turn both Personal File Sharing &Personal Web Sharing to advertise the fact.
For full access, sign in from Computer #1 with Computer #2's Username & Computer #2's Password & vice versa.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Problems connecting to iPad 2 using "Connect to Server"

Hi Everyone,
I am experiencing an ongoing problem establishing a connection from my 13" MacBook Pro (2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 RAM, Mac OS x 10.7 Lion) to my iPad 2 (64 GB WiFi, iOS 4.3.4 (8K2).
I have recently installed Avatron Software's Air Sharing HD v2.6,1 (10509) onto my iPad 2 and have been able to copy files too and from my MobileMe iDisk without any issues whatsoever.
I have also been able to establish a connection using Finder/Go/Connect to Server and then entering the http://192.168.xx.xx IP address that Air Sharing asks you to use from my MacBook Pro.
The first time I followed this procedure, I successfully connected to my iPad and Air Sharing HD and then started to copy files over. After about 10 minutes or so, the file transfer failed whilst trying to copy over an .m4v file.
I subseqently tried to connect again from my MacBook Pro with no success. Each time I try to connect, it fails presenting with the following error message:
"There was a problem connecting to the server "192.168.x.xx". The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
Of course, I have tried doing this - with no success. I have restarted the MacBook Pro and the iPad 2 and tried to restablish a connectin between the two with no success. I tried connecting the two devices using the Bonjour address, appending :80 and :8080 to the IP address, still with no success.
I have also tried to turn off all passcodes and any type of restrictions on Air Sharing and as of this time, I have been unable to establish a connection between the MacBook Pro using the 'Connect to Server' route from the MacBook Pro.
I am still able to upload files to my MobileMe account and establish a connection to MobileMe on my iPad 2 and obviously via USB via iTunes.
I have now run out of ideas.
Would anyone out there have any ideas what might be happening here and have figured out what needs toi be done to resume successful contact between the two devices?

Hi,
It gives me the correct IP when I ping yes. It's only when the SLD tries to resolve IP via JCO destinations. Yesterday I put in all hosts in my landscape into the hosts file of the SLD, disabled the NIC that it shouldn't be using and restarted.
Still it tries to resolve hosts in my landscape to 10.150.83.XXX. How is this possible??

If it says there is no sim card installed it either can't find one physcially, or the card moved and lost contact or has failed. A new sim card can be obtained form your Mum's cell/mobile carrier if needed easily.
However this is irrelevant to whether or not the iPad can join a Wifi network. Its 2 different things.
For now ignore the Sim card message and just try to connect to her Wifi network. It is independent and should function regarldess of the sim card status.

When we tried to configure both links on the same CUBE we faced two problems:
-          Routing issue, as we can’t route traffic using single CUBE through two different interfaces to the same destination “ i.e we have to configure static route commend (ip route 10.201.20.49 255.255.255.255 10.196.191.157 & ip route 10.201.20.49 255.255.255.255 10.196.192.93), sip traffic coming from one link can’t be sure to send it back to the same link.
-          SIP media & signaling control binding issue, as CUBE support sip binding using one interface only “one IP Address”, if we not using binding commands on the CUBE we can’t receive any calls though any link.
We have two options:
SP to send both traffic on the same trunk link
Or
Have another CUBE for the second link.

I didn't mean NAT CUCM, I meant the interface towards it. But since you're using a single interface then yes that is what you NAT. You have a lot going on in that config. Probably a lot more than you need. Like I said you should work on this in two legs. CUBE to ITSP, and then CUCM to CUBE. You're trying to make the whole thing work in one shot which is going to cause you some headaches.
Install XLite free version. In the account settings set your UserID to a generic 10 digit phone number, domain to something generic, then at the bottom set the Proxy Address to the IP of your CUBE. The media ports will be negotiated dynamically between the CUBE and the ITSP. Since you said you're not registering you will also need to give the ITSP YOUR peer IP (this is how they secure the trunk) which is whatever IP you're sourcing from when you leave your network (what you're NAT'ing the CUBE to).
For testing, reduce your config to something like this:
voice service voip
allow-connections sip to sip
allow-connections h323 to sip
no supplementary-service sip moved-temporarily
no supplementary-service sip refer

Use XLite to place a phone call from your PC (if you have a mic and speakers you can have audio if the call connects). This should come pretty close to getting your outward leg established. Once you get this part working you can add in more codecs and translation profiles if you want. Let me know what happens. Include any debug or packet cap results if you can.

Problem Connecting my iPAD3 to WiFi - LAN

Untill today using ADSL broadband and ZyXel WiFi Router. With this I was able to connect iPad3 to internet. iPad --> ZyXel WiFi Router --> Internet.
I changes my internet service provider to Hathway.
So I connected WiFi Router <--> Cisco Cable Modem <--> Cable. With this setup I am able to connect my laptop to internet using Wi-Fi. However when I tried to connect iPad3 .. its giving trouble.
On ipad i setup Wi-Fi connectoin and it seems to connect momentorily and then it displays an error
"HTTP Status 404 - /library/test/success.html
The requestes resource not available."

I think what might be happening is - When I try to connect to google the first time from LAPTOP, it redirects me to Hathway login page. It makes me login and then I can use internet on LAPTOP.
Something similar might be happening from iPad. Howeve on ipad its unable to display the login page. Hence its unable to continue with Wi_Fi Connection and it keeps disconnecting.
How to resolve?
