Problem converting horizontal to vertical

I have downloaded photos from an Iphone 4s to my desktop computer. The photos are horizontal and when I rotate them to vertical and try to save them I get the message " could not complete your request because of a program error". I have no problem doing this with photos from my Canon camera. Any suggestions ? ?

There were two jpeg images one large and one 1600x1200px I could open them in CS6 and rotate then and save them I could also rotate them in windows file explorer. Had no problem posting the resizes and the original size girl picture rotated here. Right click on the and open in new tab or window. Ar you sure your using menu Image>Image Rotation>90 CW or 90 CCW ??? I notice you wrote Canvas Rotate.... Try resetting your Photoshop preferences.....

Compositions Transition - horizontal and vertical - Problem

Hi,
another problem. I use a full screen composition as seen on the picture below.
Now if i change the transition from fade to horizontal or vertical it crashes the compilation.
So actually only half of the screen can be used now.
Any ideas what could be my mistake?

hi saikat,
1) go to the view and then click on the "context" tab .
2) create the context by right clicking on the context . make the cardiality 0:n
3) now after creating the context write click on the conetxt just created and create attributes in the node...remember to give the data types of same kind as required in your scenario
as far as i can guess...you nee three attributes
a) Month
b) employee name
c)salary
4) now go to the layout tab ..
right click on the rootuielementcontainer and chose table .
5) right click on the table and browse the name of the node just created.
6) press the tick mark sign..
7) now you will see a table getting created in the layout just check the right panel on the screen you give the column name as required by you.
8) write logic for fetching the data. as you have not mentioned this part i hopeyou know it
dnt forget to bind the table with the node .in the elogic.
8) excecute the program.

I found a solution!
Perhaps this is just temporary, but I have my display up and working again.
Although the symptoms are different were a bit different, the solution here worked:

As I was able to connect to my HD via an external monitor, in the finder, I went to:
1. Macintosh HD --> System --> Library --> Extensions
2. From there I moved all of the files that started with ADM and ATI (19 in total for me) to a folder on my desktop. (You will need to enter your admin password for this)
3. Next was a restart.
4. Then my display started working again.
5. After that, I transferred the files back into my Extensions folder.
6. I then did another restart with my fingers crossed and breath held. It worked.
Also... During the last few days of trying to find a fix, I restored a Mavericks backup to my computer away from Yosemite.
I'm very sure this problem occurred when I put my MBP to sleep, disconnected the power in its sleep, while something was connected to a USB port and unplugging the USB device (for me an iPhone charger) while the MBP was closed.
I hope this helps the next person.

Center text in DIV horizontally and vertically.

I made a simple nav bar at the bottom of a site I am building and had it centered horizontally and vertically. When I pulled up the page today the text is all the way to the left and I had no problems with it the day before. I have made no changes to the code. I am using IE9, but I have been since I started this site. Everything seems fine in Firefox. If I turn IE9 to compatibility mode it centers horizontally but not vertically. Any ideas?

Tile horizontal and vertical

Hi all,
I m using internal frame. i m showing a menu which show cascde, tile horizontal and vertical. when i click on tile horizontal it should display all open internal frame in tile horizontal same as for cascade and tile vertical.
how do i proceed
pls solve my problem

You have to find the open internal frames. JDesktopPane has a method to do this. Then determine which are showing. JInternalFrame methods can help you here.
For cascading the rest is simple. Pick a starting point, say (0,0) and an ofset value, say 10, iterate over the internal frames. Set the location of the first at (0,0) and then set each succeed frame at a multiple of the offets. Here's the rough code to do that
   int hPos = 0;
   int vPos = 0;
   int step = 10;
JInternalFrame[] frames = myJDesktopPane.getAllFrames();
for ( int i = 0; i < frames.length ; i++){
      frames.setLocation( i * step, i * step);
Horizontal and vertical tiling can be done in a simular manner. You'll probably want to ensure that all frames are the same size ( you can't assume that, users do stupid things). Then laying out tiling will be like above but holding horizontal or vertical step constant and increasing the other by the width or height of the frame.
This is just a quick and dirty response, you may have to adjust some things to get the result you want. But, I think, this will get you going.

When i dulpicate an object across horizontally or vertically

Yeah i did a little test, and it seems to happen more when
you zoom into an area.
i also found if you try to select the centre of the object
and constrain it, it usually doesn't jump somewhere else. I think
converting it to a symbol also helps so that you know where the
centre point is.
But yeah if you select an edge of an object and try to
constrain it seems to jump somewhere else, which can be a bit
frustrating. Sometimes it just means zooming out (like 800%) and
holding down Shift and using the arrow keys to constrain the
movement.

Hi, Thanks for that further bug description In Your Last Message That Describes The Problem I Am Having perfectly and is exactly the same for me.
unfortunately that fix for my camera Powershot G6 does not work or apply as the view pictures switch is different on G6 is not usable during download as once you plug in DC/USB cable it turns off, and makes no diff and problem still exists exactly as you just described.

it has been 17 days since apple promised to get back to me within 3-5 days hopefully with a solution, but I have still not heard from them.
They blew me off, i guess, probably i will have to wait for new Yosemite OS update, which they pre-warned me could take as much as 6 months.
I cannot believe apple released this new update with such major bug issues for camera downloads and that horrible "Photos" pgm which has all sorts of downgrades in features, usefulness and new bugs compared to iPhotos which I just finally got used to and was much better software.
I am starting to lose faith in Apple and I am getting that Microsoft "FEEL" like I used to have when I was a PC user, which was why I originally switched to Apple computers in first place.
Oh well got my fingers crossed here.
Thankfully the memory card reader solution is working well, but cost me $45.

MSI GTX 570 TF III Power ed o/c Fuzzy Horizontal and vertical lines.

Recently built, tested and stable PC with GPU issue. (System specs in Signature)
I Have installed a MSI GTX 570 Power Edition O/C in my rig. I have a clean install of Win 7 and carried out a clean install of the latest (non beta) Nvidea drivers DL'd from Nvidea site.
Here is my problem:
When running graphically demanding software I get fuzzy lines either horizontally or vertically across the screen (but not both at once)
They only appear when GPU is underload.
When running Heaven Benchmark the lines are soft and horizntal consistantly in the middle of the screen.
When running the in the Kombuster Benchmark I get harder lines when the GPU load increases and they are vertical
Interestingly whilst playing BF3 on Ultra no lines are present (but GPU load is not as heavy)
I have not touched after Burner settings.
Here is what I have tried already.
   Removed card and clean contacts (card connection to PCI slot)
   Cleaned (although brand new) mobo PCI-E slot
   Checked it is seated correctly upon reinstall
   Cleaned Power connectors and Card power connection
   Cleaned PSU modular power connection on PSU
   Changed PCI-E power cables connection on PSU (cable management model)
   Changed PCI-E power socket on PSU.
I have looked into what Bios I have but have not found any information in regards to any other Bios releases by MSI.
My GPU BIOS is:70.20.27.00.01

No problems at all.
However when running some games,.and in particular K kombuster default "KMARK" I get those lines.
In Heaven benchmark I h´get them horizontally but only one or 2 in the middle of the screen and very soft.
I am sending the card back.
No Overclock performed by me and no adjustment of any afterburner settings.
It should work out of the box.

I'm trying to see the properties of the font and am getting an error message. "Accumulated text within the attempted selection area is rotated other than horizontal or vertical. TouchUp cannot create a text selection." How can I undo this?

This problem can be solved by the following ways:
1) Try opening the Content Navigation pane (left-hand side), in the pane fly-out turn on "Find Content fromSelection", select the text in question, and then delete/edit the text using the Content Pane instead of inside the Document Pane.
2) Create a blank PDF that has the same dimensions as the original PDF. Just print a blank page from Word and change to landscape orientation. Select the object that contained the text that had given the error (it contained more than the text), cut it, and paste it into the blank PDF. Edit the text in new PDF. Then again cut and paste it back into the original document.
3) In previous version of Acrobat, rotated text editing was not supported and hence the warning is appearing. But for normal text editing happens. This problem has been fixed in A11. So if you are trying to edit text which is other than horizontal or vertical, then those warnings are expected in Acrobat 10.

I have 30 plus Word .docs that have Horizontally and Vertically oriented pages in them. A new PDF is created each time the orientation changes. Is there a way to have Acrobat keep those in the same PDF?
I am using Acrobat Pro for Mac 10.1.10

As far as I know there are no patches available for the software and OS I am using (I ran the update check on each), but my version of Acrobat Pro is older.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble converting files. Are you receiving the conversion error regardless of the file that you try to convert? Does the error occur whether you use the web interface, or convert via Reader? And an odd question: how many files do you have stored in your Acrobat.com account? We have seen reports of this error when there are a large number of files stored in the root folder of your Acrobat.com account.

Not on my document. I have a 7 page document open. The "flashing vertical bar" is at the top of page 3. I have the thumbnail view showing. I click page break and two blank pages are added to the end of my document. I have to scrool thru the pages to see that the 2 pages were added as they do not appear in the layout view... I'm not sure if it is inserting a "section" as it adds two blank pages.. But I am clicking on "INSERT PAGE BREAK".. So guess there are still a lot of bugs to fix..

Problem converting Excel Charts

I am using Acrobat 9.3.4 (pro extended) and MS Office 2007 service pack 2. I am having problems converting the charts in Excel. The charts in Excel are vector, but when I print to the Acrobat driver or save in Acrobat, the graphs are converted to a low quality bitmap. Any ideas how I can preserve the quality of the original graph? Any idea how I can preserve the vector drawings?

I suspect the upgrade to Excel 2007 is at fault here, but I have not found any settings to get my old functionality back. I posted the same question to an Excel board, and they referred me to a similar thread, which sounds like other people are having similar problems.
It looks like some older version of Excel was having trouble when people used "save as pdf" (Excel was resizing the graphic and moving it off the page.) To eliminate the problem, they seem to have changed their graphics creation engine from vector to bitmap.
I have an older version of Excel (2003 sp3) at home, and the pie charts, for example, are clearly being created as vector drawings. In Excel 2007, they appear to be bitmaps created at screen resolution, which in my case is a fuzzy mess because of the need to resize the drawings. On the Excel board, there is a link to a "hotfix" but I don't know if it is the same issue. I will post the link here if it works.
I tried beating my head against the keyboard, but it has not helped.
